@spierse I know what you mean by then lightening pains, they come and go within a second, they're so strange Hmm

Aurora124 · 25/08/2020 23:05

@Phie04

I did that the other day it was like something burst! Apparently its nothing to worry about just that everything is stretching and very sensitive in that area.

@Gidget19 yea I had an inkling too plus the sickness has been awful .im 11+1 today although the scan put me a couple of days back but I'll keep at my original dates until the 12 week scan how r u feeling have you got a lot of sickness ? X

LandMammal · 26/08/2020 07:05

@NotThatKindOfDoctor I'm 13 weeks+1 and have put on around 3lb as well, in the grand scheme of things and considering the amount of food I've consumed to keep the nausea at bay, I'm not surprised or panicking 😂
Just trying to move as much as possibly but the weather isnloody awgul at the moment isn't it?! It's like the Summer has already gone 🙁

LottieDot · 26/08/2020 08:21

I havent posted much as anxiety has been bad! Im 9+2 today and my symptoms seem to be changing/getting even more mild which is stressful! I have a private scan on Saturday so I'm praying that it goes okay. Its just so unnerving not knowing if its okay in there, especially when I'm not super sick!

I underestimated how difficult mentally early pregnancy would be :( x

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 26/08/2020 08:22

@Dreamcatcher007 and @LandMammal, you’ve both made me feel loads more relaxed about it, thank you!

Dreamcatcher, did you find it easy to shift all the weight last time?

I wouldn’t normally care but I’m definitely more thickums this time then with my other kids so I’m more conscious of not piling on the lbs. Plus I’m a lot older know so I’m sure that will makes things a bit tougher on the other side.

I live in the South West of France LandMammal, so it’s still pretty hot here at the moment, which actually makes my nausea worse. I’m looking forward to September/October when it’ll be around 20 - 25°c and I can be a bit more active without wanting to puke!

Gidget19 · 26/08/2020 08:51

@Dipsy77 yeah it’s the sickness that’s the biggest give away. I’m 7+4 which seems ages away from a time where I might start to feel better and am not sure how I’m going to manage work next week!

Dipsy77 · 26/08/2020 09:32

@Gidget19 I'm not working at the minute I have a nearly 1 year old dd to contend with which is super hard at the minute not getting much rest or sleep at the minute as she's a little whirlwind xx

Gidget19 · 26/08/2020 09:40

@Dipsy77 gosh I can’t imagine having another child too and a young one at that. I can’t imagine how tired you feel.

Babafarmer · 26/08/2020 09:55

@Phie04 that first happened to me when I was about 6 weeks. I thought I'd been shot. I was then scared to sneeze for ages. I'd happened once more. But I have been sneezing a bit the last couple of days and I've been fine x

Charlotte2020 · 26/08/2020 10:06

Hi all, has anyone had their 12 week scan yet? Can you eat beforehand? I have mine tomorrow morning and I'm so nervous!

Dreamcatcher007 · 26/08/2020 10:26

@NotThatKindOfDoctor Last time I was back to pre-pregnancy weight of 60kg within around 4 months after birth. Breastfeeding and Buddyfit classes helped I think, but I didn’t specifically diet or anything. I do feel a like it’s out of my hands a bit - like I’m on a pill or smth. I just ballooned when pregnant even thought I kept exercising and not eating that much more last time. And then after birth it was coming off similarly quickly. Although I’m sure it’d be more difficult this time with less moving and being older...

Phie04 · 26/08/2020 10:27

@Charlotte2020 you can eat but you need to have a full bladder during the scan. Id start drinking an hour before x

Dreamcatcher007 · 26/08/2020 10:29

@Charlotte2020 Yes, so nerve-racking isn’t it! Yes, you can eat and drink no problem. Good luck and look forward to a lovely scan photo Smile

Dreamcatcher007 · 26/08/2020 10:31

@Charlotte2020 @Phie04 Ah interesting, my instructions were saying specifically that you should drink but they don’t want a really FULL bladder either.

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 26/08/2020 10:35

Hey everyone,
I hope you don’t mind me jumping on your thread, I am (Approx) 11+2 today have dating scan on 7th Sept when I think I will be 13 weeks.
I have been so ill with nausea but not vomiting, with my first (DS who is 7 and a half) I vomited the entire way through and I feel that was better because I would get at least some relief!
Anyway...I have been feeling fluttering/bubbling for the last few days, just wondering is anyone else is feeling the same at this stage? It may be because it’s my second pregnancy I am recognising it early, it seems to be very frequent and wanted to know other people’s experiences.
Hope you are all keeping well x

holb54 · 26/08/2020 10:38

@LottieDot I've had anxiety since I was 16 and I'm 24 now so I know how hard it can be. I'm sure everything will be fine with your scan, we're just so conditioned to presume the worst! Take a deep breath and try distract yourself as best as possible until then (easier said then done I know!)

holb54 · 26/08/2020 10:52

@ChubbyMumFromSkye hey I'm 11+2 and have my dating scan on the 7th as well! 💕 Best of luck to both of us now 💫 have had 3 scans already which have all said I'm a good few days behind though because of my irregular cycle but I'm waiting for this proper hospital scan before I change my dates yet!

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 26/08/2020 10:59

@holb54 wow that is so funny! It will be interesting if we have the same due date after our scans!
I have had one scan due to irregular cycle too and thought I was around 12 weeks when I was only around 6! Haha.
Is this your first? It is my second but my husband's first. X

LuHen · 26/08/2020 11:14

@Phie04 @Gidget19 I have also heard this stuff works miracle - I think its the ingredient lanolin that is special, made from sheep haha! Supposed to be so great for lips and nips Wink. Mine are also pretty sore / sensitive.

Ahhh congrats to everyone having twins how exciting is that!

@Sussexbysea my boobs were very average sized and oh my god they have become mountains. I need to go bra shopping desperately!!!

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 26/08/2020 11:19

@Taylortyler I am sorry but just laughed out loud at your post as I had almost the opposite situation last night!
Everything, and I mean everything except ham & mushroom pizza is making me feel nauseous.
Spoke to DH and asked if he could be bothered picking one up for me (from a van that makes fresh pizza Smile) he said he couldn't be bothered which was fine - he got it for me the night before.
So I said I would have pasta, which I did and it made me feel so sick. When I had had enough and had to stop so I wouldn't spew, in walked DH with the pizza I had wanted and was now too sick to eat!
Hope your OH makes it up to you tonight Grin X

Taylortyler · 26/08/2020 11:31

@ChubbyMumFromSkye that's brilliant- I am ok eating anything that is beige and carb based. With a few other things that are ok to eat but don't make me feel good! We have made up now and I have accepted that perhaps I was a tiny bit irrational- I really wanted to be a chilled pregnant lady but I think I'm just a crazy hormonal wreck!

holb54 · 26/08/2020 11:41

@ChubbyMumFromSkye it will let me know how you get on! 💗 I'm the opposite they've told me I'm over a week behind according to measurements which has been stressing me out when I'm so accurate with dates/ovulation tests/ etc. but guess it's something us irregular girls have to deal with 😂 This is my and my fiance's first!
