Found the threat after trying to post on the other one 😆

@LuHen Thanks for mentioning Group B strep test - I’ll look into it and might do the test too. It’s best to be prepared just in case!

@Babafarmer I think the placenta is supposed to kick in around week 10-12. I did feel so much less tired after week 10!
Now nearly at 13 weeks I can’t say I’m at pre-pregnancy levels of energy, but that’s probably just because of working from home, no gym and not getting out much. 😔 In my first pregnancy I was doing spin classes at the gym well into my third trimester, don’t think I’d have anywhere near that level of fitness this time...

BlenheimOrange · 25/08/2020 14:00

Oh my goodness this moves fast! I got totally behind on the last thread. Anyone up for a fb group?? I did try to join the existing one but we couldn’t get any kind of invitation to appear for me...

Babafarmer · 25/08/2020 14:01

@Dreamcatcher007 I hope mine kicks in soon I'm 12 weeks on Saturday and feel I could fall asleep standing up.

I'm working from home too and I honestly don't think it helps. Plus it's pretty lonely and I don't have my work pals to keep me going. Before pregnancy I was running three times a week and fell walking. At the minute I manage a daily 30 minute walk which I force myself to do x

ChilternsHan · 25/08/2020 14:04

@ElsiesJourney this sounds like a story my friend told me when she was pregnant, except she was the one snoring because she was heavily pregnant and following her husband from room to room Grin so you might get your revenge at some point!

I feel the emotional thing - my husband is back to work this week after 5 months of furlough and redundancy, and Sunday night I literally sobbed about him going back. No idea why! Also, the program the Yorkshire farm has made me cry for the last few weeks...ridiculous!

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 14:12

Hi everyone,

I was originally looking at a April due date but found out yesterday that I’m having twins so a March arrival will be much more realistic. I’m currently at 7 weeks and feeling so sick. Hope you are all well x

chloxhunt · 25/08/2020 14:27

@BabyG21 I'm 10 weeks tomorrow too!

Dreamcatcher007 · 25/08/2020 14:47

@Babafarmer Exactly the same here! Forcing myself to get into some sort of daily exercise routine, but it’s hard going!

Sussexbysea · 25/08/2020 14:49

Hello everyone!! Thanks for setting up a new thread.

Today is the first day since week 6 that I haven’t felt 100% rotten. I’m currently 11+3, anyone else feeling a bit better. My boobs are the size of my head but I can deal with that Grin

BabyG21 · 25/08/2020 14:58

Congrats to all those finding out there are twins on the way!

My symptoms seem to have changed a bit. Was struggling with what felt like hangover and feeling sick with hunger and sore boobs. Seems to be under control now so had a couple days of panic that they had gone but now have had a headache, still quite bloated and tired.
I tried to put some work trousers on that were loose before lockdown and i can’t even get them close to fastening! I don’t really want to buy clothes now that I won’t fit into in a couple weeks/months but not sure I can come to the office in my gym leggings again 🙈

Sussexbysea · 25/08/2020 15:00

@Gidget19 you’re our 4th who is having twins. Congratulations!!!

ArtemisBean · 25/08/2020 15:06

@BlenheimOrange Me too, I can only manage to post two or three times on each thread before it's moved on! 😂

11+2 here. Still feeling pretty rubbish. Seems to be lasting longer than it did with DS but might be my imagination. Scan on Sunday, eek! Anyone else got one this weekend?

aureliacecilia · 25/08/2020 15:06

4th, wow! Who else is having twins? Congratulations to all of you! Lovely news,
@Gidget19
.

I was so worried about twins with my first pregnancy but a bit more sanguine this time - what will be will be and all that! I'm expecting there to only be one though... Only three more weeks until I find out.

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 15:11

@Sussexbysea 4th? The incidence of twins is certainly on the rise! Who else is having twins? I’m a single parent (by choice) so have instantly been outnumbered by my children.

Phie04 · 25/08/2020 15:14

No wonder I have been feeling to poop today! Just found this on baby centre. I was worried that I started getting cramping but glad to know its normal.

"One relatively common symptom is cramping at 10 weeks of pregnancy. The symptom of cramping at 10 weeks of pregnancy occurs as the baby begins to develop rapidly during this time. There are several changes that affect the uterus as well as the surrounding tissues and muscles and this is the cause for the discomfort"

chloxhunt · 25/08/2020 15:20

@Phie04 I had cramps like at the very beginning I'm guessing 4 weeks? It was around the time my period was due so I literally thought it was that and thought nothing off it and took a test when I was 10 days late which I still didn't think much of because last year i was 10 days late! The cramping is horrible though! I used to wake up with it! I still get them now if I like get you to quickly or if I'm sat in the wrong position

Phie04 · 25/08/2020 15:22

@chloxhunt yeah I had cramps stronger than these between 3 and 6 weeks but nothing since this week. A few days ago I was getting a sharp twinge in my right side which I also got at the very beginning but now just seems to be an on and off wave of mild period cramps. Hoping its stretching pains and not the start of something.

c24680 · 25/08/2020 15:23

My symptoms have seemed to have eased as well, rhinitis isn't bad today, I'm 12+2. Scan is on Thursday, just tomorrow to get through!

chloxhunt · 25/08/2020 15:23

I'm away in Cornwall and these couple of days I have felt completely fine! Probably because I'm being kept busy! Where as when I'm at home I'm almost being sick because I'm so hungry even if i ate like an hour ago! We have a hot tub in our lodge which is gutting that I can't go in but i put my legs in last night hoping that's still okay 🤞🏻

chloxhunt · 25/08/2020 15:24

@Phie04 yeah I get what you mean! Mine was cramping my whole entire abdomen but if I move positions it goes straight away! I don't get them often at all now! Just every one and then I'll feel a slight twitch but that could be just wind 😂

Sussexbysea · 25/08/2020 15:55

@chloxhunt what you hve when you stand up isn’t cramping, it’s called round ligament pain.

JTB123 · 25/08/2020 16:22

Thanks for the tag! Gosh we can talk 🤣🤣

Phie04 · 25/08/2020 16:25

Sorry if I'm about to gross anyone out but I need advice. My boobs aren't that sore anymore but my nipples my god I can barely touch them. I have to sleep in a sports bra because moving around just kills. My nipples are so dry, itchy and flakey (sorry) I just don't know what to use to soothe them as I don't want to irritate them further!

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 16:42

@Phie04 I’m sure all of our bodies are doing things that lots would consider gross but we’re never alone in the issues.

Have you ever used Kamillosan? My mum used to give it to me for my cracked lips but it was originally for cracked nipples and mild enough that It wouldn’t harm a newborn if ingested. I’d definitely recommend looking it up for now and when you have a little one.

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 16:43

Also, to add on to the cramping discussion I have cramped most days since implantation. Not for long but definitely more like period pain than any other type of pain. I thought I’d be free of that for a few months!

Phie04 · 25/08/2020 16:47

@Gidget19 Thanks! Il deffo do some research. I may just wait until my scan next week and ask the midwife
