Hello, new to this thread and due on the 27th. I can relate to all the posts about cramps! Been having them for weeks now so hopefully will go away soon. Can't complain too much as I have not been struck by morning sickness at all. So tired though, have to nap most afternoons and feel totally useless around the house!

Taylortyler · 25/08/2020 17:01

@Gidget19 I'm with you on that- I didn't know cramps were an ongoing thing throughout pregnancy but I read a feed on the Peanut app the other day where women of all stages (21 weeks, 30 weeks etc) were talking about cramps. I like to think of it as my uterus making more 'womb' for the baby (shit pun intended) Grin

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 17:05

@Taylortyler I enjoyed your shit pun! I’m wondering how I’m going to feel when they actually start running out of room and things really stretch because at the moment they have all the room in the world and I’m still very aware of the area.

loobyloo1234 · 25/08/2020 17:09

I can sympathise with those having cramps now. I had them mainly from 5-7 weeks - hot water bottle was my saviour. Although more warm than hot. Just soothed me completely and I'd take to bed to help with it at night

Taylortyler · 25/08/2020 17:24

@Gidget19 you've got 2 sharing the space too! I don't have a bump or anything yet but the bloat is real, I feel enormous- it's like having a non-stop run of fat-days

holb54 · 25/08/2020 17:54

Is it ok for me to join in? 💕 due with baby #1 around March 17th!

holb54 · 25/08/2020 17:58

@Gidget19 the bloat is so horrible isn't it! Never realised how horrible a feeling it would be

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 18:02

@holb54 Welcome and congratulations on baby #1. How are you feeling?

Dipsy77 · 25/08/2020 18:25

Thanks for the add, @Gidget19 I'm having twins too xx

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 25/08/2020 18:29

Hi 👋🏽 can I join?

I am due on the 14th March but having to have a c-section so they said it’ll more likely be around the 1st/2nd.

Can I ask a very personal question....I was wondering how much weight everyone has put on so far? I haven’t been weighing myself but here in France we have 4 weekly scans/checkups with the gyny and so I’ve been weighed by him. Looks like I’ve already put on 3lbs and I’m only 11 weeks. With my others I didn’t put any weight on until I was around 18-20 weeks Confused.

My boobs are legitimately enormous this time though so I’m hoping it’s mainly boob weight Grin.

Anyway, hope nobody is suffering too much. My (only stopped by eating) nausea seems to be easing off a little now thankfully!

TheFoz · 25/08/2020 18:31

Apart from a day last week that I thought my symptoms had disappeared, I have full on nausea from morning until night. My nipples, if I went without a bra, would take your eye out! I can barely finish my dinner, I get full so quickly!

11+4 today, I have a scan next Wednesday at 12+5, really looking forward to that.

Gidget19 · 25/08/2020 18:33

@Dipsy77 we’re you expecting twins? I had a feeling it was twins the day after my positive but was still in shock yesterday when I saw them both!

Taylortyler · 25/08/2020 19:09

Ok, I've reached a new level of irrational and emotional. Husband rang me about 3 and asked what I wanted for dinner (he works in a butchers) so I asked for pie, we even discussed flavours and agreed on a chicken and bacon pie. He gets home at 6 and what has he forgotten? The pie. I drove to the nearest 3 local shops (sainsburys, co-op and nisa) and none of them had anything other than frozen steak and kidney pie- bleurgh! So I cried and now I'm cooking a stupid chicken breast and some veg
...that's a completely rational decision right?! I'm not speaking to him either.

Oldermum80 · 25/08/2020 19:17

Phew found you! Been searching most of the day lol

Oldermum80 · 25/08/2020 19:20

@Babafarmer thanks for the tag, I had my notifications turned off but luckily I found you all eventually 😂

holb54 · 25/08/2020 19:21

@Gidget19 thank you! Not feeling too bad now, definitely best I've felt so far in the pregnancy, nausea has settled so just the bad bloating and lots of anxiety! Had been on antidepressants for anxiety and ocd for over 4 years and stopped a month before trying to conceive so still struggling with that but would love to stay off them for the duration of the pregnancy! Hopefully the second trimester is better 🤞

holb54 · 25/08/2020 19:25

@NotThatKindOfDoctor I haven't been weighing myself but will have to start now soon, haven't noticed a bump but my boobs are huge!

spierse · 25/08/2020 19:53

@Phie04 thanks for that I'm 10+1 and for last 2 days have been getting little lightning type pains in my lower abdomen, doing a bit of googling seems to be round ligament pain?? Anyone else getting this, not really like cramps more of a tiny shock that lasts 1 second, seems to happen in the afternoon after I have been sitting at my desk for a while...
Also anyones sense of smell off the charts, its actually how I knew I was pregnant 4 days before I was due, went for a run and could smell every single flower!

Clara9 · 25/08/2020 20:02

@BabyG21 yeh I’d do the same, but I work in a school so want to make sure I’m covered by a risk assessment before the kids go back

Oldermum80 · 25/08/2020 20:03

Is anyone else sleeping stupid amounts? I’m having 12 hours and still feel tired during the day. Partner says I’m sleeping too much but I just can’t keep my eyes open when I wake for the toilet and end up falling back to sleep. I am up four times through night too and sometimes struggle to get back to sleep but didn’t last night.

ilikeboots · 25/08/2020 20:29

I'm sleeping stupid amounts nothing is enough!!! . Think the 12 hours plus a couple of naps during the day. DP watch with amusement... I'm also an oldie (+40) with my first. 9+4 here. I'm not worried I'm accumulating!! Congrats to everyone!

Dreamcatcher007 · 25/08/2020 20:38

@NotThatKindOfDoctor I’ve already gained around 4kg I think ! Although with the first pregnancy I gained 5-6kg in the first trimester and 18kg overall 😳 People who knew me on pregnancy were literally hardly recognising me afterwards 😂

Oldermum80 · 25/08/2020 20:49

@ilikeboots I’m 40 and also 9+4. Glad it’s not just me. Think DP thinks I am in control of it but I feel like I’m being taken over and have none.
He’s just witnessed me retching in the park while walking the dog and I’ve had an accident at the same time as I had no control of down there. I really need to work my pelvic floor muscles as this is my third and clearly they are crap 😂
He has zero sympathy. Men get it so easy.

Phie04 · 25/08/2020 22:55

Wow I just sneezed and had the most intense pain surrounding my lower abdomen 😂 hope thats normal lol

Csj123 · 25/08/2020 22:57

Hi everyone, just adding myself to this new thread. I've only done a couple of posts but I try to read the thread when I can, it helps get through the long days of feeling awful! As others have said I feel I could be writing so many of the posts here - it's comforting knowing others are going through similar and you're such a supportive (and chatty!) bunch Smile
Currently 10+5, still waiting for my scan date despite my booking appt being over 3 weeks ago. Followed it up with my midwife who said it should be coming any day...I hope so!!
It's been really nice seeing the scan pics people have had lately and good luck to those with scans this week! Exciting times! x
