Gosh she does sound confusing @HerondaleDucks! I hope your midwife can put you at ease next time. Could even phone if you're worried?

I'm hoping so. At this rate I'll be agreeing to the induction I didn't really want because I'm struggling.

@Buzz22 That's really annoying with your appointments, especially when you're worried. At least the scan was okay and hopefully the time will go in quickly.

@bluemoon2468 ahh so could do either way, exciting though!

@BntTowers Hopefully your pram will be soon - be nice to get it all ready!

@MrsD1990 36 weeks! It's crazy when it's getting so soon. That's so lovely

Quiffy · 26/08/2020 09:12

@HerondaleDucks jeezo that's not reassuring for your appointment. Are you getting one at 36 weeks?

BntTowers · 26/08/2020 09:40

@quiffy is ok to not like my DH much because the pram won't be delivered until early October and he said it would be fine and I kept telling him we need to order it earlier? Luckily we went for a separate car seat and that is available for me to collect so at least there will be a way to get home from the hospital if baby is early...

@HerondaleDucks that sounds really confusing. I think sometimes midwives and hospitals don't talk to each other properly. I think I would just go to the diabetic team with anything to do with blood sugar. Your bump looks great by the way.

CharlieBalf · 26/08/2020 09:45

@Treaclepie19 also have my midwife appointment today, oh and over night a wisdom tooth decided now would be a good time to try and errupt. Great.

@HerondaleDucks lovely bump!

Our neighbours offered to walk our dogs while I was in hospital today... Can't believe how close it is! Seems like it's taken forever to get here and now it's just a few weeks.

A friend sent over some 0-3 clothes and I'm a little overwhelmed by her kindness, there's literally 30 sleepsuit and vests. Mum has offered to wash and dry them for me 😂

Quiffy · 26/08/2020 10:51

@BntTowers urgh that's so annoying! Bloody DH. At least you can get the car seat and hopefully it arrives a little sooner than they say. The pram not the baby that is!

@CharlieBalf Good luck for midwife and your mum is awesome

MummyBearBoo · 26/08/2020 11:20

@HerondaleDucks -I know the feeling I'm still measuring 35 weeks (I'm 33w) but baby is 50th percentile so it's just my bump that's big!
It's making my feet and legs sore and my SPD pain is horrendous!! Still 7 weeks left just how- don't think my skin can stretch anymore!! Xxx

Morning girls, well thats me back in the shit sleep club! Was wide awake till 2am, as was baby!! Roll on day off on Fri!! I also had really sore back last night and was bouncing on ball a great deal. It helps but it's so noisy on my flooring, need to maybe put a towel down as it drives me mad lol. Good luck with appts today, always look forward to mine 😊 that's strange that although measuring 2 weeks over you are told that baby is 50th centile and it's just the bump that's big @MummyBearBoo never heard that before. You had growth scan? Oh are you guys noticing appetite increase? I HAD to have a slice of toast at midnight last night was so hungry, night before it was a square of chocolate! xx

MrsK89 · 26/08/2020 11:56

Loving the bump photos. Mine is really small compared, I remember in my last pregnancy I could balance a plate on my bump 😂
Baby is measuring on the small side though

Spark27 · 26/08/2020 12:39

I'm with you on the shit sleep club @Treacle81. I was awake from 0030-0600. So wide awake that I did some work. Fortunately DH then let me sleep in til 1000.

If anyone interested the ONS have just dropped the top 100 girls and boys names for England and Wales in 2019

BntTowers · 26/08/2020 16:21

Has anyone noticed increased movements recently? Since Monday night I feel like this baby is trying to kick its way out of me. I'm exhausted, it's really taking it out of me. I keep stopping for breaks throughout the day.

NWnature · 26/08/2020 16:42

Lovely bump pics! I am constantly starving at the mo and also in the shit sleep club. My hips get so tingly I am constantly swapping side to side in the night then let myself go on my back but mega propped up almost sitting for the last few hours from 5.30ish to 7 . Once my husband gets out of bed I get another 30mins or so as can stretch out a bit more. It’s definitely been a corona blessing for me though as if it was “normal” times I wouldn’t get back from the office til 8ish most nights plus have probably 3 eves a week with either work events or social so much later and I used to get up at 6.15am - now I sleep in til 7.30 before rolling 2 metres to my desk 😆 Makes a massive difference.

Baby has been really quiet today , my kicks count app average is 7 movements a day. But they are pretty mild, husband barely ever able to catch them and feel. Also my baby is going against the norm it seems as it’s usually mega quiet at night and I get most of the “movement” mid day. So weird how different they can be in there!

blankiesandunicorns · 26/08/2020 16:53

Yes @BntTowers me too. I am getting really low kicks which are very uncomfortable! I don't see how this baby is going to stay in another 5 weeks!

otterbaby · 26/08/2020 16:56

@NWnature I'm constantly starving too - which is annoying because I thought our stomachs were meant to be squished and therefore we eat less?! Clearly not

blankiesandunicorns · 26/08/2020 17:20

@otterbaby @NWnature I'm either not hungry at all or ravenous but Iv been feeling sick again too

Spark27 · 26/08/2020 17:57

@BntTowers, yes. For the last couple of weeks baby has been really active, esp in the evenings & nights. She doesnt stop for hours.

CharlieBalf · 26/08/2020 19:27

All good on the midwife front... Baby is head down bum up ready to go! Two weeks until my birthing plan appointment which seems so close!
SPD giving me all kinds of grief today can hardly walk. All the midwife said was, don't worry it will all be over soon. Massive help!

Treaclepie19 · 26/08/2020 19:36

Midwife for me was a bit of a pain after she tried to put me off going to MLU and said because I'm consultsnt led it wouldn't happen. Despite my consultant saying otherwise. Anyway its pretty much sorted now thankfully. Just need to get my consultant to officially sign me off.

Good news is baby was wriggling away, head down and 3/5 engaged. Everything else fine urine and blood pressure wise.

@CharlieBalf mine was the same about the SPD. She completely dismissed my pressure and digestive trouble too.

I'm in the no sleep club but not the starving club. Feeling sick often and get bursts of hunger but mainly I'm off food. Getting full quickly.
Just watching some PBC videos and hoping I can get through them this week.

LostinAusten2 · 26/08/2020 21:06

Sorry the midwife help have been a bit hit and miss for folk ☹️

And most definitely in the no-sleep party - very glad my job doesn’t involve much beyond Excel as I’m really not firing on all cylinders! Bring on October 🥳🥳

MrsK89 · 26/08/2020 21:17

I'm in the sick and very tired club! Once I'm awake in the night, it is so hard to get back to sleep. This itching on my hands and feet is also getting worse, I can't sleep without a fan, even in this freezing weather.
When will they mention the birth plan. Every time I ask a midwife they say not yet but not telling me when exactly. I'm determined to let them know I don't want that injection after birth! And to hopefully remind them by births are really fast. They might actually listen for once!

Ah that's great @Treaclepie19 how do they know when baby is engaged again, scan or by touch? I've completely forgotten but I'm assuming nothing is happening on my side as they've not mentioned anything. Just said baby is very much head down!

@blankiesandunicorns haha same here or it may be little punches but I always need the toilet after

blankiesandunicorns · 26/08/2020 21:27

Yes @MrsK89 the pressure on my bladder is quite debilitating! Think they can tell baby is engaged by feeling through your tummy near your pelvis

BntTowers · 26/08/2020 21:34

@blankiesandunicorns I've been getting kicks high up to my right side and punches down low, I had a few hours rest when the in laws have been here, too much noise from the overly excites SIL I think. SIL and MIL are still banging on about bf I just keep zoning out when they start their lectures.

It's my 30th birthday tomorrow, I'm looking forward to going to Yorkshire Wildlife park on Friday to celebrate.

blankiesandunicorns · 26/08/2020 21:44

Happy birthday for tomorrow @BntTowers I hope you have a lovely day. We're off to Twycross zoo next week I am hoping I'm not too uncomfortable by then. Why are they lecturing you about bf?

BntTowers · 26/08/2020 21:51

@blankiesandunicorns they both do every time I see them. SIL hasn't had a baby, but thinks bf is best and has very strong opinions about it for someone who has never experienced it. Then mil thinks breast is best, and that I should exclusively bf, even though with DH she had a lot of trouble with him loosing a lot of weight she wouldn't formula feed and continued to only bf when formula would have probably helped a lot, but she thinks it's damaging. Not yet mentioned that I was formula fed from 6 weeks old and my brother from 3 weeks as my mum found it so difficult.
I am going to try to bf, and hopefully express for DH to do some feeds (something the mil disagrees with) but if it doesn't happen then I won't hesitate to give baby formula as I think fed is best.

otterbaby · 26/08/2020 21:51

@MrsK89 I just had my 34 week appt and she asked me to come prepared with birth plan notes for my 36 week appt and we'll run through it at that one. Mine also hasn't told me how engaged baby is, I know she's been head down for weeks now but I haven't been given a number yet! Maybe it's because it could still change?
