@MrsD1990 congratulations! So exciting that the first baby of the thread is here 🥰

BettyBotter1 · 16/09/2020 21:54

@LexiM so sorry to hear about your dad, that's just such an awful thing to be going through at any time let alone pregnancy. I really hope he gets to meet your baby.

@HerondaleDucks ahh keep us posted and hope you get some rest if things are slowly starting. I wonder if it's all your colostrum efforts? Nipple stimulation is supposed to help bring on labour! I had a go today and filled most of a syringe :) I'm also 37 plus 5 today. I hope my baby stays put til due date as want hubby to be home and have too much to do until then.

@MrsD1990 amazing news, huge congratulations. First baby, how exciting!!🥰

@Treacle81 that's terrible about the car seat. I think Ebay have to help you if you've been missold something?

Today was my last full day alone - inlaws coming for the day tomorrow and my parents arrive for a week as of Friday, then DH back for a month and once all the adults leave I'll have baby by that point :) Typically tonight there is a big spider on the wall of the room I'm sleeping in. I've been getting so many of them recently and I can't deal 😥 I'm going to have to pretend it's not there and hope for the best...

Buzz22 · 16/09/2020 22:08

@BettyBotter1 argh I hate spiders! I swear by indorex flea spray. It kills everything creepy crawly. We treat the house every 6 months routinely as we have a dog, but I saw online it kills spiders too. I have found a few big dead ones since we started using it. The large can is much cheaper to buy on amazon than in the vets. But would be best to get hubby or someone else to do it if you are pregnant as you can imagine it's pretty potent and you need to air the rooms afterwards.

booroo · 16/09/2020 22:15

@MrsD1990 massive congratulations 😁
I'm 38 weeks and have been having crampy period pains and back ache and pressure for a good week now and it never comes to much more 🙈 think she's going to keep me waiting like her sisters did lol,
Sorry for everyone suffering with a cold, my youngest came back from school today with a runny nose and glassy eyes so I'm praying she doesn't share it with me!! Really could do with out it lol..

Spark27 · 16/09/2020 22:18

OMG, congratulations @MrsD1990. First baby on the thread. So exciting, and scary at the same time. I have all the questions- name, weight, how far long were you, etc. Haha, sorry. xx

I feeling similar @justanothermumma. Feel like I want a few more weeks to see if we can get any more house viewings in. Never thought I'd want to go over, even though I'm really uncomfortable

MrsK89 · 16/09/2020 22:19

@Treacle81 how long have you had it? I would open a return case and upload the photos to the case. Sellers will usually respond quickly once a case is opened and after a certain amount of days ebay will step in and take your side

MrsK89 · 16/09/2020 22:22

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy ahh the back pain 😔 hope you feel better soon
I'm not bad tonight, stomach feels like a solid ball all day, but pain wise I'm all good thank you.
I'll be 37 weeks this Saturday x

justanothermamma · 16/09/2020 23:00

@Spark27 I literally just need tomorrow out of the way and baby can do what she likes, ha! Although, as soon as our house goes on the market I'll need to be able to do viewings.. so maybe she does need to stay put.

I've totally lost my appetite and my tummy keeps feeling solid for short periods of time before relaxing again, it's weird. This pregnancy is so different to last time!

Quiffy · 17/09/2020 07:14

@LexiM you’re all being super strong ❤️ Such a heartbreaking thing, take care of yourself

@Treacle81 is that the newborn insert? I think you can get replacements for them, I can’t quite tell from pic

@justanothermamma mine is ice too, I’ve always had really sensitive teeth but that’s gone in pregnancy so I love crunching it and having ice water. Hope you make your viewing!

@HerondaleDucks ahh very exciting!

@MrsD1990 congrats!!!!! Hope you’re both doing well. You’ll be thread advisor to everyone now ❤️

@BettyBotter1 hope you managed to get some sleep with the spider :(

I did hee-haw yesterday. Every time I get up it’s a struggle and I’m out of breath. Used a curry kit for dinner last night while dh finished his meetings, it was super simple but the back pain and crotch pain was off the charts from doing so little. Going to be a long two weeks if he doesn’t show 😩

LexiM · 17/09/2020 07:35

Thanks everyone ❤ really appreciate all your support.

Ah @MrsD1990 congratulations. I am thrilled for you and cant wait to hear more! I hope you both had a good first night.

@Treacle81 personally I probably wouldnt use that car seat, if they've not been honest and modified it, I couldn't trust its been used in the manner they say it has and hasnt been in a crash.

@justanothermamma hope the house viewing happens for you!

I'm also an ice cruncher here, my husband hates it.

@BettyBotter1 ah spiders, hope you managed to avoid it! My husband was very cruel last night and let me go into our bathroom knowing there was a massive one in the sink. I screamed then said "you knew it was there didnt you!!" I made him take it downstairs and out far away! Of course he had to take a photo and name it before he did it...rolls eyes!

justanothermamma · 17/09/2020 07:57

@Quiffy My teeth hate me so much due to this ice addiction!

Tightenings have stopped so the viewing is on for now!! X

BntTowers · 17/09/2020 11:54

Well baby has an eviction notice of the 15th October, 4 more weeks at most then I'll be induced. I'm kinda hoping baby will decide to come a little earlier.

Quiffy · 17/09/2020 12:13

@justanothermamma I'm sure we'll pay for it at the dentist after 😹 how did the viewing go?

@BntTowers ooooh very exciting - not long to wait now at all!

blankiesandunicorns · 17/09/2020 12:57

@MrsD1990 congratulations that's amazing news! Glad to here you are both doing well, hope you are having lots of cuddles. First baby of the thread how exciting ☺️

I'm 38 weeks today and hope this baby comes sooner rather than later mainly because I am getting impatient!

Spark27 · 17/09/2020 13:39

Just had my 38w appt (38+4) and been told baby is measuring on the 3rd centile. Need to go for either a scan or monitoring. Waiting on a call from the hospital as apparently they are really busy. Getting movement, and a good hb so not too concerned. Damn baby xx

Treacle81 · 17/09/2020 14:07

Hi girls, just felt rotten with cold and car seat issues yest, so had a day sulking. I've just binned it and ordered new one, lesson learned! OMG @MrsD1990 was not expecting that ending to your post. Congratulations!! Send a pic if you can, dying to see him ❤️. One day I feel like I could go and the best, feel quite light and not waddly, it's weird. I did notice a wet part on my top yest so the colostrum is defo increasing! It's funny as I actually spilled juice the night before and partner was like oh oh I think you are leaking! That's the 9th Oct baby born in Sept that I know so far, poor Sept mums are all still waiting lol. I do not seem to be getting to sleep till around midnight, despite feeling tired. So just decided that I'll just keep myself out of bed till then as hate lying wide awake, v frustrating. My appetite has ramped up despite being loaded with cold! Defo piling weight in now. 🙊 I decided to finish up work today as feel crappy, hoping yo feel better as meeting work friends for lunch. So that's the out of office gonna be applied in less than an hour until 5th July 2021 🎉💃😀xx

justanothermamma · 17/09/2020 15:22

@Quiffy I work for one luckily so should hopefully save some £££ 🙈. It's the dream house, time to fight for it now.

@BntTowers How EXCITING!

@Spark27 Oh gosh, hope you're all okay!

@Treacle81 I have no appetite whatsoever, I'm eating because I have to, it's awful 😂. I can't wait to stick the out of office on until September next year - one week to go!!

Spark27 · 17/09/2020 15:33

Nothing heard from the hospital yet, so going to my beauticians appointment. Might as well have beautiful eyebrows and toes for whatever happens 😅. You know they'll ring as soon as I sit in the chair

MrsD1990 · 17/09/2020 15:36

Hey everyone! Just checking in, hard to keep up with the thread now! I was 37+4 when baby was born, went into labour the day before. He's 7lbs and gorgeous. We're both still in the hospital and will probably be here a night or two more. He's a little jaundice because he was born so early but otherwise doing great 🥰🥰

it's a shame my hospital doesn't allow visitors on the post natal ward but my husband was with me for the whole of my labour - we stayed home until I had contractions every 3 mins and when I went to the midwife to be checked she said from speaking to me she didn't think I was in established labour and was about to send me and my husband home. I asked for a vaginal examination and it turned out I was 5cm! Labour was a total rollercoaster though, at one point I started to doubt I'd ever meet my baby but we have and he's here ♥️♥️♥️

LostinAusten2 · 17/09/2020 15:55

Well done @MrsD1990! ❤️ So glad you asked for that exam given the midwife chat, and sorry to hear it was a rollercoaster - huge congrats again for making it to the other side - you’re giving all the rest of us hope 🥳🥳

justanothermamma · 17/09/2020 16:02

@MrsD1990 37+4! Gosh, did you expect to meet him so early? I'm glad DH was with you, I'm shocked they didn't check your dilation as a standard?! But hey ho, you have your beautiful baby, that's what matters. Sending lots of love your way. X

otterbaby · 17/09/2020 16:22

@MrsD1990 I'm 37+4 tomorrow, I wish I was going into labour 😭 so pleased for you! X

Viletta · 17/09/2020 16:27

@MrsD1990 congratulations and speedy recovery!!

BntTowers · 17/09/2020 18:42

@MrsD1990 well done on standing your ground and getting the examination, sounds like you did great. I'm sure you'll both be home soon!

@justanothermamma how did the house viewing go?

For some reason I was in a foul mood this morning, but after going out for the afternoon to a gardens and talking through my appointment with DH and possibly deciding on names again I feel much better now! I had a call yesterday saying I might have to go on insulin and would pick some up today, but thankfully the first thing the gd midwife said was that I don't! They kept saying how well I've done keeping my meal time levels down and the fact that baby is measuring spot on average is proof of that. I'm going to start trying to collect some colostrum tonight and will see how it goes, I'm thinking it will probably take a few attempts.
I do think as of next week I'm going to start trying a load of the old wives tales to see if I can get anything started as I'm started to get inpatient and want to meet baby. 4 weeks feels a very long way off still!

Treacle81 · 17/09/2020 19:10

@justanothermamma lucky you, my routine dentist appointment was cancelled at start of this in March and our practices are still emergency only. @Spark27 you looking all glam? I'm booking in for mani, pedi and eyelash lift next week I think. Never had eyelash lift but want to give it a go. I'm defo better than I was yest regarding cold, throat is no longer sore, one minute i'm feeling ok, next I'm all bunged up again. That's the out of office on, computer packed away for uplift. Feels good. I want this fortnight to just rest, get organised and I actually hope baby comes when due. I'm not going to bother trying to get colostrum out before birth, I'll just wait and see what happens. I'm glad your husband was with you throughout @MrsD1990 and well done for staying at home till 3 mins apart I will try my hardest to do the same as don't want sent home! xx
