@justanothermamma yes I know, we are renovating our house, moved in last Xmas so have been doing it throughout my whole pregnancy and not finished yet! Must be mad!

HerondaleDucks · 16/09/2020 15:18

@LexiM I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this so close to having baby. I hope he makes it to see his grandson but you take care of yourself!
I know I'm a complete stranger but if you ever need tea and a chat I'm only down the road (Salisbury area).

@Treacle81 that sucks about the travel system. Is there any scope to return it and get your money back? How frustrating for you!

@blankiesandunicorns sounds very chaotic, hope you get some sleep! Do you think your mum will spoil your whilst you're there?lol

I'm glad my colostrum harvesting has been inspiring or at least helpful. My mum is totally squeamish about it and refuses to talk about it at all!

I've been having period like cramps and dull backache today, but it comes and goes. I don't want to think about it too much, in case I get my hopes up.
I went for a long walk this morning and wiped myself out. But it's my dog's 3rd birthday today so I had to treat him as I've only been doing short walks recently due to the numb leg issue.

@Spark27 I've been nesting like crazy, my next job is to make Christmas cakes, so I don't have to worry about it closer to Xmas lol.

blankiesandunicorns · 16/09/2020 15:22

@HerondaleDucks yea my mum will be pretty helpful, DD is coming too so she will help out with her although she is 7 so pretty independent. I'm hoping for a better night sleep and if I get that I will be happy!

HerondaleDucks · 16/09/2020 17:36

So the period type cramps have got a little worse. So I called the midwife just to check... and she said this could be early signs of labour. Don't know how to process. This could go on for a few days.

LostinAusten2 · 16/09/2020 18:02

Eeeek! Good luck @HerondaleDucks - it’s so stressful trying to keep an eye out for possible labour signs whilst trying to remain calm - sending you a hug x

blankiesandunicorns · 16/09/2020 18:26

How exciting @HerondaleDucks!! Keep us updated if you can!

LexiM · 16/09/2020 19:41

Huge thank you to everyone for your support and offers of chats, I really appreciate it. I'm going to look into that teddy bear idea, thank you for the suggestion.

We had a lovely day, we went to the beach and I had a little swim, it was freezing in the water but I loved it. We then stopped at a pub on the way home, because it was after lunch hours we were the only ones sat inside which was good. Most people want to sit in the sun...I do not! I cannot believe it's the middle of September.

@HerondaleDucks how many weeks are you? I hope it is early labour for you, how exciting. I feel I am going to be waiting long past 40 weeks...anyone else thinking that?

Hope everyone with house viewings, decorating etc is going well. We moved some bits around in our lounge this afternoon, making more room for baby stuff that I'm sure will be taking over!

Weve had an email to say our boiler service is due October. Dont know whether to book it in and hope baby doesnt come that day or book for middle November when guarantee baby will be here and a few weeks old. Part of me thinks what's the chance of baby coming that specific day I book for the service but equally if he did I may forget!

Hi everyone, I had the period cramp feeling on Tuesday at 4am. Had a bit of pink when I wiped which have it away that I might be in labour rather than a false alarm. Very long story short, I gave birth to my little boy this morning at about 8am 🥰🥰🥰 absolutely over the moon. I love him so much! We're both currently in the postnatal ward snuggling ♥️

otterbaby · 16/09/2020 20:25

@MrsD1990 omg congratulations!!! That's amazing news! Do you have a name? ❤️

BntTowers · 16/09/2020 20:26

@LexiM I know that it's so hard seeing your dad get weaker, you are doing amazing. I think the teddy idea is really sweet.

@HerondaleDucks harder said than done but try and relax and get the oxytocin flowing and hope it keeps the labour going! Making Christmas cakes sound good!

Good luck to those with house viewings/ DIY still happening, not sure how you are managing to cope!

I had a terrible nights sleep, that film we watched was way too much. I had nightmares all night of war and people being injured/killed. I'm about to go and get a bath and watch something stupid so hopefully will be a better night.

@Treacle81 that's awful, you wonder how people sleep at night knowing they've sold something dangerous to someone and at such a high price!

Treaclepie19 · 16/09/2020 20:28

Ooooh congratulations @MrsD1990!!! 😁😁

I keep thinking labour may be coming but nope. Very crampy again today but nothing so far.

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 16/09/2020 20:44

@Treacle81 ah that's really annoying re the car seat. Have you got in touch with the seller? Also if you call the actual brand they may be able to help with a replacement part.

@MrsD1990 oh congratulations!! How exciting!! Xx

MrsK89 · 16/09/2020 20:52

@MrsD1990 amazing news! Congratulations! Hope you both are well x

Buzz22 · 16/09/2020 20:56

@LexiM I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I really hope he gets to meet baby. If you need a chat message me, I lost my dad to cancer last year. Sending you hugs xx

@MrsD1990 yay first baby on this thread! Massive congratulations 💜🎉 I hope you are both well. How exciting!!! How many weeks were you?

Buzz22 · 16/09/2020 20:58

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'll be 37 weeks on Friday. Everyone I know thinks this baby is coming sooner rather than later, but I think I'll still be moaning on this board at 40 + weeks!

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 16/09/2020 21:04

@Buzz22 oh really!! No one has said anything to me!! I bet I'll also be on here moaning at 40+weeks!!

Treaclepie19 · 16/09/2020 21:08

I'm so sorry @LexiM. I thought I'd already replied. Thinking of you ❤

Im 37 weeks today. Braxton hicks galore again tonight so bloody uncomfortable and loads of pressure down below.
My ds was born at 37+4 but fully expecting this little one to make me wait but keep me guessing the whole way.

I am 37 +5 weeks. I'm trying not to over think it lol. But definitely feels like a period.

LostinAusten2 · 16/09/2020 21:25

Huge congratulation @MrsD1990!!! so happy for you and your baby 🥳 ❤️ Hope recovering in the post natal ward goes ok and do share any photos that you can 😊 x

NWnature · 16/09/2020 21:37

Congrats @MrsD1990 lovely news!!!!!!!! He is here!!

I’ll be 37 weeks on Saturday so I reckon a while to go yet. I finish work next Friday when I’ll be 38 weeks and hoping for a week or so of chilling before the little one arrives 🤞

BntTowers · 16/09/2020 21:40

@MrsD1990 massive congratulations! I hope you manage to recover and get home quickly.
Can't believe we've had the first baby on the thread born!

justanothermamma · 16/09/2020 21:45

@MrsD1990 Awww congratulations my lovely!!! How far along were you again? Hope you're recovering well and baby is okay!

I've been having tightenings for the past two hours. Normally I'd be excited but we're viewing the dream house tomorrow and I don't want to miss it 🙈. It was so hard to get a viewing as it's a really popular property in the area! I suppose what's meant to be will be!
