@Zaalfruit sorry to hear you are feeling so low still.
Hopefully things will pick up when you finish work?

I have 2 more days until I finish. But it feels really anticlimactic!

I'm also wide awake with I think it's a foot... near my ribs.

31 days until my due date of 4th October. It's getting super real now!

bluemoon2468 · 03/09/2020 07:29

@Zaalfruit I think the sign you're looking out for that you're in active labour is 3 contractions in 10 minutes, lasting a minute each. That would be the time to phone the hospital to see if they want you to go in. I'm going to try and stay at home as long as humanly possible as I really don't want to go there and be turned away! I also just want to be at home in comfort and familiar surroundings for most of my labour.

3rd October for me! 1 month today!

blankiesandunicorns · 03/09/2020 07:35

@Zaalfruit sorry to hear you're feeling low. Is it something you have spoken to your mw about? We have the same due date! I'm 1st too! Time really does fly so now long now. Keep talking to us and anyone else you can about how you feel.

I have my 36 week growth scan this morning. It's because baby is apparently big but I don't feel that huge so hoping they will say she's fine and no need for further scans or intervention.

We went to Woburn safari yesterday, was a great day out with the kids before baby comes.

Hope everyone's ok.

booroo · 03/09/2020 08:26

@Zaalfruit I'm due the 1st of October aswell 😁 totally with you on having had enough now.. just keep thinking the last few weeks have flown by and next week we are 37 weeks so considered term so we can get going on trying to evict them 😂
Had my 36 week appointment earlier in the week and she's head really right down much to the midwifes suprise as she's not my first, fingers crossed it means she's getting onboard with my coming early plan but most likely I'll still
Be here whinging in October about being overdue 🤣🙈

blankiesandunicorns · 03/09/2020 08:38

@booroo I make the mistake of keep thinking she could be here anytime from next week then correct myself that I shouldn't plan for that as no doubt I will be very uncomfortable at 40 weeks still waiting!

booroo · 03/09/2020 08:51

@blankiesandunicorns Snap with next week 🙈!!
And seeing as I've gone overdue twice before you'd think I would know not to get my hopes up 😂 yet here I am hoping every cramp
And twinge is a sign 🙈🤣 x

Treacle81 · 03/09/2020 08:57

Morning girls! @Zaalfruit I am going to purchase the Freya app on my phone which counts your contractions and when they get close enough it actually tells you when to go to hospital. Can't trust myself lol as knowing me, slight twinge, I'll panic. I have been feeling the same for the past who but had 6 hours sleep last night and fell better for it. I'm making a point of making sure I get out every day even if a 10 minute walk, better than nothing. I think @Spark27 is due in Sept, maybe a few more then it's you guys. My friend is due 11th so just counting down days for her xx

LexiM · 03/09/2020 09:22

@zaalfruit sorry you are feeling low, I hope you feel a bit better once you've finished work and can relax a little.

I would definitely speak to the midwife about some advice re. coming in to the hospital during labour as 40 minute drive is too far to be doing several times! I've also got the freya app to count contractions and plan to stay home as late as possible. I am lucky though as I live less than 5 minutes from the hospital so isn't the end of the world if I have to go home.

I am so jealous of all of you with less than a month to go, I'm 14th October so I expect lots of you will have had your baby by my due date. Although I appreciate in the grand scheme of things 14 more days is nothing and you never know when baby will come, although mentally we are prepared that he's going to go nearer 42 weeks and I say to myself that he will just be here by end of October!

My best friend is due this Friday, her first child was born 2 hours after his due date after a long labour, so I've got my fingers crossed for her this week that she will meet her baby soon.

Treaclepie19 · 03/09/2020 09:34

@blankiesandunicorns my bump is measuring really big but in my area they don't do a growth scan for big babies so hopefully even if baby is big they won't need to do anything for you. Most likely just the silly measuring method getting it wrong though!

Just dropped off ds at school and he went in so much better ❤ "Bye bye mama" and gave me a kiss and cuddle. So proud of him.

@Zaalfruit hope you can have a rest soon and feel a little better. Sorry to hear you're feeling low. Do speak to someone if its becoming a problem Flowers

As for when to go to hospital I have no clue 🙈 Mine is about 20 mins away. Last time my contractions were too irregular by their standards to go in but when they agreed I could I was 5cm so not like the early labour they'd expected.
I did still have a while to wait though.

I've spent weeks wishing her here and now I'm a bit like stay inside so I can settle your brother into school 🙈

I live about 15/20 mins from the hospital. But for the next 3 weeks there is a road closure which is causing an hour and a half delay to even get into the centre of town. Hope this baby doesn't come early or I might have to give birth in the car lol!

Glad all the first days back to school have gone OK!
My dsd goes back tomorrow... and her uniform still hasn't arrived and we ordered it 3 weeks ago. I blame DH.

babymama09 · 03/09/2020 10:21
