@MrsD1990 that’s sounds fab!! So sweet of everyone xxx

@Spark27 so exciting .

Just had my 36 week appointment ( a little early ) but they said - from 37 week drink raspberry leaf tea - keep the kegels up and all the bouncing on the ball has made baby turn from transverse to the engaged normal potision . So anyone who needs to move baby please do light bounces it helps sooo much !!

31 days left , till baby is here !!!! Feels surreal !

MrsD1990 · 01/09/2020 17:07

@Treacle81 glad they've prescribed you something, I hope you feel better soon!!

@Zaalfruit that's so good baby is engaged! I feel like baby has turned for me too but I can't 100% tell - my 36 week appointment is next week so fingers crossed!!

Treacle81 · 01/09/2020 17:59

Oh girls can hardly keep my eyes open today was starting to worry I'm maybe a little depressed or just so tired, not sure. Just lost more mucus plag there, felt something coming away and wiped and it was jelly like, yellow in colour. That's twice now as thought I lost some on Fri night. Great news @Zaalfruit xx

mamamemmmer · 01/09/2020 18:51

Thanks @Treacle81!

Been sent home with painkillers and an appointment in two weeks to book in an early induction. Might be a September baby at this rate!

LexiM · 01/09/2020 19:27

Suddenly everything seems really close now I can say "we are having a baby next month!"... two days ago it was dragging haha.

@treacle81 definitely talk to your midwife if you think your struggling more than just tiredness. Hope the medication from the doctors helps you feel better too. I must admit I feel very tired and zoned out today. I usually talk loads when I visit my mum but today I just sat there. I would love to go to bed right now. I am trying to go with the flow now and not push myself if I'm feeling run down. The cat was running up and down the stairs at 4am which woke me up and then I felt sick and couldn't get back to sleep. He was sneaky and fell asleep under the bed so my husband left him out in the whole house as he didnt want to wake me trying to get him out whilst I was asleep, that back fired!

@spark27 great news on the house, how exciting! It seems to be a good market to move now and I hope your house sells asap without much of a chain. Sounds good to get the house in order before baby arrives, I really want to but lack energy right now.

@Treaclepie19 glad baby is ok and your getting the growth scan, Friday will come round in no time.

@MrsD1990 the surprise sounds lovely, glad you enjoyed it, bet your husband was pleased with himself too!

I have no idea what position baby is in now. He was breech and I'm still getting lots of movement in the top half of my tummy on both sides. Shall be interested to know next week when I see the midwife! I'm so uncomfortable in the evening now, I bounce on the ball a bit which feels better a bit better but I'm getting fed up and moany now!

LexiM · 01/09/2020 19:28

@mamamemmmer hope the painkillers help. Maybe you will be first to have baby!!

kate909 · 01/09/2020 20:29

Hi ladies. Anyone elses upper part of the bump feel a bit tender to the touch, almost a numb feeling?

Spark27 · 01/09/2020 20:32

Thanks ladies, I'm so excited. Spoke to the mortgage man and all is fine on that front, so we just need people in to look at ours and an offer. Really hoping we get some interest in the next few weeks so we can have an offer in before baby comes out so I dont have to worry about viewers then.

Feeling really achy today. Not sure if it's because I've had to sit still most of the day while the cleaners were in. My hips and knees are really sore.

Got my 36w mw appt on thurs (36+4). Really interested to see if bump has grown or if I'll be sent for another growth scan. Baby is still moving loads though. And if baby is still engaged, anymore engaged, or has popped out.

Spark27 · 01/09/2020 20:38

Hope your little boy had a great day and has a lovely birthday @Treaclepie19. And school as well, bless.

That baby shower sounds lovely @MrsD1990. So pleased you had a lovely time.

My cat was being a dick too @LexiM. I was awake from 0030 until about 0500 and lay on the sofa and he kept jumping on me and trying to curl up on my tummy. Then when I moved his off loads he got pissed off and scratchy. Damn cats.

BettyBotter1 · 01/09/2020 21:37

@Treaclepie19 just to quickly wish you and your ds good luck for tomorrow, having taught Reception I know what a huge moment it is for you both!
@Spark27 huge congratulations on the house, that's fantastic news and fingers crossed you get an offer asap.
We also have good news on the house front as our application has been accepted :)

HerondaleDucks · 01/09/2020 21:43

Oh my god. As if it can't get any more stressful. Dsd has come back from her first overnight stay at her mum's in like 4 years. They normally just have contact for a day. And she has come home with 35 flea bites. I'm raging.
Poor thing is covered in them. Had to flea spray all her stuff and get her to bag up her clothes whilst she had a shower and I had to put them on a hot wash.
I don't understand mother's who show such blatant neglect. Apparently the flat was full of fleas and they were jumping up her legs. She won't be going back to that flat until its immaculate. So angry!

Spark27 · 01/09/2020 21:56

Thats great news for you @BettyBotter1. Yay. I'm trying to tell myself that after all the crapiness of Covid we're due some happy times 🥳

Thats awful @Herondaleducks. I feel so sorry for your DSD having to put up with it, and you for having to deal with it when she got home. I remember my cat bought loads of fleas home once, about 5+yrs ago and I was horrified and went about getting rid of them asap. Its grim to think that some people dont care. You dont want those being bought back to yours, or your poor DSD having to be around it x

Treaclepie19 · 01/09/2020 22:05

Thank you so much everyone ❤ I really appreciate it.
@BettyBotter1 I was an early years teacher too but I can't reassure myself like I'd reassure other parents 😩
I just want him to enjoy it but he's never settled well at school. He's very clingy to us and struggles with his speech and socially so its really hard 😔

That's so sad @HerondaleDucks. Poor all of you.

MrsK89 · 01/09/2020 23:07

@Treaclepie19 I used to draw a little heart on my boy when he started reception last year, as some days he just refused to go in. I drew one on my wrist and one on his and told him if he misses me to press it and I'll know. His speech was delayed and the new surroundings just panicked him a bit.
He's going into y1 now and he's been bouncing off the walls he's so excited to go in! Give him time he will be fine x

MrsK89 · 01/09/2020 23:09

@kate909 my whole bump is numb! I've been getting really dull but sore low down movements all day
Very period like pain but it's everytime he moves, made me feel sick all day

mamamemmmer · 01/09/2020 23:13

@MrsK89 What a gorgeous idea with the heart thing!

Treaclepie19 · 02/09/2020 03:04

That's really lovely to hear @MrsK89 ❤ Thank you. I'll definitely give it a go!

I forgot my gaviscon before bed so am lying here wide away and uncomfortable. Not risking going downstairs and waking everyone up 🙈

Spark27 · 02/09/2020 04:21

OMG, the heartburn. It doesnt usually bother me, but tonight its woken me up and I feel so sick. Annoyingly feeling too sick to be able to stomach taking any gaviscon 🙈. I've had to prop myself up on the sofa to try and help

Treaclepie19 · 02/09/2020 07:18

Horrible isn't it @Spark27. Hope you got some sleep!
I finally got back to sleep only for the smoke alarm to decide to go off for no reason at all 😭🙈

OP posts:
mamamemmmer · 02/09/2020 07:35

@Treaclepie19 @Spark27 I had such bad heartburn last pregnancy but none of it this time! Must be having a bald bambino this time! X

Quiffy · 02/09/2020 08:09

@MrsD1990 that was so lovely of your friends and husband ❤️

@Zaalfruit wonderful news on baby moving!

@Spark27 yay on offer!!

@Treacle81 hope it’s just tiredness, definitely speak to your midwife if you’re struggling

@kate909 my bump is numb around my belly button - very weird feeling

@HerondaleDucks that’s so awful :(

We’ve been told to expect local lockdown due to an outbreak. Just as my parents are meant to be staying this weekend. My mum says she’s coming regardless as we’ve both hardly left the house and everyone else is still off to the pub. Which is good as I have a large list of diy tasks for my dad and dh this weekend 😅😅

ChickenDipper28 · 02/09/2020 08:39

Morning girls!

Hope you're all feeling better this morning! Heartburn has been dreadful 😩 I've been struggling with my leg/side. The midwife checked it as I noticed quite a big red patch and she sent me to the GP. Turns out to be what they think is Phlebitis 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyone else had this?

Also has anyone else got a white patch around their belly button?

Pregnancy does weird things 🤦🏻‍♀️

Not long now ladies! 👶🏼

BntTowers · 02/09/2020 08:49

@HerondaleDucks how awful for dsd! I hope she doesn't find them too itchy flea bites are awful, can she have things like an antihistamine?

@Treaclepie19 I hope this morning has gone smoothly for you both. It must be so hard on them at the moment especially with having lockdown just beforehand.

@Quiffy that's annoying! I hope the local lockdown isn't for long and your parents can still get there. We've kinda reverted to how lockdown was for us. DH is doing all the food shopping and I'm only really going out for exercise and appointments as it's still really high with infection rates here yet we don't seem to have gone into lockdown. It feels like the economy is more important at the moment.

@Zaalfruit well done on getting baby turned the right way!

otterbaby · 02/09/2020 09:19

Morning everyone.

@HerondaleDucks that's awful, like you really need something else to stress about!

@Spark27 & @BettyBotter1 exciting house news! Hopefully things move quickly for you both.

@Quiffy ahh I saw that about local lockdown, what a bummer 😔 works well though, it'll keep them trapped in your house doing work!

I've had a busy week so far! Had a virtual baby shower with some friends from back home on Saturday which was lovely. And then convinced my DH to go on a day trip to York yesterday to get Five Guys 😂 was lovely and warm though. Probably our last outing for a while. Getting my lashes and brows done today so I don't look like a caterpillar for birth as well. And most excitingly, I think my parents are going to be able to come over when the baby is here!! It means quarantining but I'm so glad they'll be able to meet baby when she's still a newborn and not 6 months.

Anyone feel like their bump has dropped? Noticed mine seemed really low yesterday and getting lots of wiggles down low.

HerondaleDucks · 02/09/2020 09:37

Thanks everyone. I applied antihistamine cream to each bite last night after she had a shower. There were some tears but nothing a bit of ice cream couldn't fix.

Sorry to hear people are having bad heartburn. I must confess I suspect baby will be bald because I haven't suffered with it too badly. But still must be miserable. Hope the gaviscon does it's job! I know peppermint tea helps too.

Good luck on the house news @Spark27 and @BettyBotter1

@Quiffy hope your parents can still come. Sounds like your mum is determined either way!

@otterbaby Good news about your parents!

Oh I forgot to update on how the growth scan and appointment went yesterday. I was a bit distracted by fleas.
All good news. Baby is all in the normal range, apparently he is roughly 5.5lbs now but they are happy his abdomen isn't showing signs of being too big (this is a risk with GD mothers)
The diabetic doctor was really happy with my blood sugars and said I was doing a great job. So I will be staying diet controlled and not moved onto metformin.
So all in all got told that induction for me is unnecessary. It will get reviewed again at the next growth scan in 3 weeks which will be 38 weeks.
What a relief.
