Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@MummyFD yes I do feel same, cramping on one side lower abdomen and sometimes at uterus. I was just googling is it early pregnancy symptoms or something wrong!! 🤞🤞

Trenzalor · 27/08/2020 15:58

Hi all. I’ve been lurking here since yesterday, trying to work through my shock. I always wanted a DC3 but we can’t afford DC3 and I’m starting a new job next week so guess what I found out yesterday? DC3 will be with us in early May. So my foolproof method of conceiving since DC1 was a year and DC2 was over two and an unexpected miracle: get a new job (worked twice), give away or sell all baby stuff plus all maternity and nursing clothes. I mean, everything! I only have cloth nappies left because DC2 just potty trained. So DC3 will have nappies. Just nappies.
Congrats to you all and I hope you’re not as shocked as I am.
And yes, cramping and pulling down below is normal.

grandmasterstitch · 27/08/2020 16:29

Congratulations @Trenzalor! Will any of your children be going back to school next week? I'm finding pregnancy with a toddler really draining!

Just heard back from my rheumatology department and I have to stop one of my meds so hoping that isn't going to have a negative impact on my health. Last time they told me 90% of women go into remission from rheumatoid arthritis during pregnancy. Guess who was in the 10% who didn't 😐 so I'm not holding out too much hope for a pain free experience but I guess every pregnancy is different

grandmasterstitch · 27/08/2020 16:31

Also does anyone else have an overactive thyroid? I'm wondering whether to ask about those meds too (I swear I'm pretty fit and healthy most of the time 😂)

Piggers946 · 27/08/2020 16:33

@MummyFD I felt exactly like that! I've been bleeding the past couple of days and according to my app I'm 5wks 3 days today. It started with minor spotting on Sunday night. Yet I've still been going to the bathroom a lot more frequently, a lot more tired than normal and as of two hours ago getting quite nauseous. I'm just playing the waiting game right now to see what's what. It might just be some implantation bleeding if you do get some spotting or bleeding.

cryptonaut · 27/08/2020 16:35

Hi all,

Firstly congratulations to everyone it's early days for most of us so I hope it sticks for us all. Good luck everyone.

Secondly, holy c**p. First cycle TTC baby #2, AF due tomorrow, positive test this morning! Current symptoms include needing the toilet all the time and a constant full feeling in the bladder, and absolutely shattered by the end of the day (originally thought that was from running around after a toddler all day while he has a break from nursery). Due date calculators estimate 7th May.

Currently in a state of shock and disbelief. Although this was planned it's still scary.

Due date May 2021!
abitfunny · 27/08/2020 16:53

@MummyFD yes! My cramps are on and off. But they’re there and freaking me out. I don’t remember having this with my first, but then again I was much more chilled (naive) with that pregnancy.

Happysunshine1 · 27/08/2020 17:20

Hi! I've been reading the posts on here for a few days and its so nice to find lots of us in the same boat! Our due date is 1st May.

At the moment my main symptom is constant cramp just above the pubic bone, right in the middle, so that it feels almost as though it's hurting where my bladder is..anyone else find this? I guess I imagined the cramps to be higher up like period pain!

Best wishes to you all! :)

Busybee143 · 27/08/2020 18:20

Hello, I thought I'd jump on here alongside the April chat as they are way ahead of me as I'm only due the 26th of April so I'm about 5 weeks.
Not many symptoms to report, boobs a bit achy and I can get a little tired some days but that's about it.
This is my third pregnancy (i have had 2 losses) we do already have a 14mo daughter (same sex couple).
How is everyone?

Pinkiii · 27/08/2020 18:26

Im Getting a bit concerned about my lack of symptoms now, had some last week but last couple Of days, nothing. Hoping its because i’m still very early on.

Congratulations to the recent arrivals to the thread

Natty47 · 27/08/2020 18:33

Welcome @Busybee143! Sorry to hear about about your losses - I hope everything goes perfectly for you this time.

My due date is 30 April (first pregnancy, so all new to me!).

I’m not feeling too bad - various aches and pains most days in my general womb area (@Happysunshine1 - I also have that low public bone cramp!), and like you more tired than normal.

I got my bfp a week ago and it hasn’t quite sunk in. So I haven’t booked with the midwives yet or anything. Have you?

Hopeful1712 · 27/08/2020 18:50

@Pinkiii try not to worry to much about not having symptoms. Everybody is different. How far on are you?

cryptonaut · 27/08/2020 18:53

@Pinkiii in my first pregnancy I had barely any symptoms at all. Achy boobs, but I was further along than this at that point, and some nausea if I hadn't eaten in a while, but again I was further along than this. A lack of signs/symptoms doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong, you might just be in for a fairly easy pregnancy. Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know).

Welliedays · 27/08/2020 19:07

Yes @mummyfd I feel like AF is coming all the time and have been doing for the last couple of days ...I'm 5 weeks today. Just like @eternalflame2020 I constantly think it's arrived, but it is just increased CM. Just been shopping for some comfy bras.. I've down to only being able to wear one of my light support sports bras at the moment. And my boobs feel like boulders in bed so I'm going to start sleeping in a bra too 🙈

grandmasterstitch · 27/08/2020 19:26

@Welliedays sleep bras are a game changer! And I'm excited about breaking out the pregnancy pillow

ShalomToYouJackie · 27/08/2020 19:42

@pinkiii I'm having no symptoms either, I did another test today to make sure I hadn't imagined being pregnant. It was a dye stealer but I feel completely normal, I'm maybe weeing a bit more and yesterday I was tired but today I feel really nornal! I never thought I'd want to feel sick but I do

cryptonaut · 27/08/2020 20:21

@Welliedays I got some crop top things from Asda last time and they changed my life, so comfortable and they held my boobs in place really well which eased the pain. I still wear them now some days when bras just feel too uncomfortable.

Welliedays · 27/08/2020 20:53

Ahhh @cryptonaut, I bought some similar ones from Asda today I think. And I also bought some from primark. Both options seem really comfy, so I'm quite happy!

Pinkiii · 27/08/2020 21:05

@Hopeful1712 4 weeks today. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing.

@cryptonaut I’m trying to remember if I had sickness with my first by this point, but seems like ages ago

@ShalomToYouJackie yes I was tempted to do another one but I have left it as whatever happens, happens. Will just pray for the best.

With my first I didn’t really know of anyone who had lost pregnanies but I feel now all i bear is pregnancy loss so this has played on my mind

Thanks for the reassurance ladies

ScottishStardust · 27/08/2020 21:53

Thanks for the tips about the crop tops type bras... I've been looking at them recently! Nice to get some good reviews!

Busybee143 · 27/08/2020 21:53

Thank you @Natty47 hope everything is well with you

Knope24 · 27/08/2020 23:38

Reassuring to hear your experiences. I feel like I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, I looked into self referral for a midwife appointment but not sure if it's a bit premature to fill it in. Took another test this morning and the line was fainter than before so I'm guessing that's not a great sign. AF was due today though and hasn't turned up so that's something.

Went to visit my mum and she was watching a TV programme about babies, so difficult not to let it slip as I don't want to tell her until I'm a bit further along. We went for lunch and almost joined her in a glass of wine though... I keep having moments of forgetting.

Enjoying hearing about how you guys are feeling and learning from the non first timers as my friends don't have children yet so I don't really have anyone to ask questions.

grandmasterstitch · 28/08/2020 03:29

@Knope24 ask away! I love group like these for this very reason. I'm in a mumsnet group for DS which is now all in Facebook and WhatsApp and it's invaluable. No topic is off limits and because we're only friends online we ask things we probably wouldn't ask real friends.

Hope your lines get darker, although it's not necessarily a bad sign. I was a bag of nerves first time so it's totally normal to feel like this.

This is my now routine 3.30am wake up time 🙄 hoping that doesn't last long!

cryptonaut · 28/08/2020 03:52

Hi @grandmasterstitch I am now also awake, can't seem to get back to sleep

I'm also in a Facebook group for DS which started here. It moved over there after we filled 3 threads here. They have been a real lifeline for the past 2+ years. I feel like we've been through so much together as a group and I don't know what I'd do without them. That's why I came back here to find this thread, going through the same stages of this journey together really makes you feel less alone.

abitfunny · 28/08/2020 06:54

@Pinkiii we must have the same EDD? Going off the nhs calculator I’m due 5th May. The only symptoms I’ve had are cramps in my stomach which are on and off and change in mood. Nothing else apart from that. Could be too early?! I don’t remember feeling anything with my son this early on, although my pregnancy with him was a dream.
