Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

Also, can we talk about the tiredness?! It can’t be normal to feel exhausted by 2pm this early on?!

leaferty · 25/08/2020 22:22

@abitfunny congratulations! I can totally sympathise with the tiredness. I'm right there with you! Hoping it doesn't last too long as I'm not sure how I'd manage work with exhaustion and sickness.

Piggers946 · 25/08/2020 22:27

It was good talking to my sister 😊 her DD is nearly 1 now after a rough start to life being born with a fractured midsection last year. She's going into final surgery tomorrow and has been doing brilliantly the past year. She's grown and developed so well, you'd never guess she didn't have the easiest start. My sister definitely put my mind at ease a bit. The cramping hasn't gotten heavy, it's more like minor pulling and twitching/buzzing and the bleeding hasn't gotten any worse throughout the day, so fingers crossed. Was suddenly craving cucumber when I was at the shop earlier, which I never do. I do like cucumber but rarely buy it as h2b hates it haha.

How's everyone been doing today? 😊

ScottishStardust · 25/08/2020 22:42

@Piggers946 Good luck with your nieces surgery tomorrow! Hope everything goes as planned!! Glad you managed to reach out to your sister and have a catch to her about everything that's happening and you feel more at ease now.

I have loads of questions (and generally wanna chat about our news!) and feels weird not telling my sister and best friend - but decided I'm going to hold off until I get my early scan. But also think even if the scan goes wrong I'd tell them so why wait - we'll see if i last!

Feeling ok today, wasn't hungry at tea time and felt a bit nauseous- but not sure if it's symptoms in my head as I'm still early!

Is anyone taking supplements? I was taking before and now moved onto pregnancy ones! Just using pregnacare but it's an expensive habit 🤣

Smp321 · 25/08/2020 23:16

@MummyFD the only thing that is standing out is the boob pain! They’re so tender it’s unreal and that’s unusual for me in a normal cycle. That’s the only thing I can pinpoint as being an actual symptom. But yeah I’m not using the full blown pregnancy card for everything just yet haha 😂 I’m just curious about other people and maybe can learn a thing or too without delving into a googling rabbit hole

Piggers946 · 26/08/2020 00:00

@ScottishStardust Thank you! Should all go as planned, the hospital she's is really good, they have a specialised neonatal and children's unit, so she's in good hands again there.

It's so hard not telling anyone haha h2b is debating telling his parents now. Told him he should so he's got someone else to talk to as well. We're just halfway between should we or shouldn't we. Fingers crossed for bfp when testing again next week.

I've just been taking folic acid supplements, just generic brand ones. But nothing aside from that.

@RoseandBloom Thank you, in a way it does help, knowing the bleeding isn't a definite end just yet and that anything is possible still. I'm so sorry to hear about your mc, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

@abitfunny The tiredness is insane. Can't believe how much I'm yawning throughout the day and just feeling like going for a nap all the time haha.

grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 07:37

Can I join? I've moved over from the conception board significantly faster than last time! First month of trying and you could knock me over with a feather Grin based on my LMP I'll be due around 8th May by which time my DS will be 3. I'm in a February babies 2018 group and it's just the best place for support and friendship Smile

leaferty · 26/08/2020 08:02

Welcome @grandmasterstitch congratulations on the bfp and yay for it happening quickly!

Blughbablugh · 26/08/2020 11:13

Hi all and welcome to the new ladies. I've been having quite strong symptoms. Tiredness, cramping, stomach feeling off and terrible bloating. I don't remember having such strong symptoms this early on last time. It's as if my body has just jumped straight back in to pregnancy. I'm still very much working from home at the moment and so I'm able to relax a bit but was very lucky and I didn't have any sickness last time so fingers crossed it's the same again.

ShalomToYouJackie · 26/08/2020 11:27

Hi everyone, I got my BFP on Sunday 23rd and due around 7th May. I'd been TTC for a year, got pregnant on my first month trying but sadly had a miscarriage.

I'm 4 weeks exactly today and have pretty much no symptoms, is this normal? Occasional lightening boob or stomach cramp but that's it

KellyPonder22 · 26/08/2020 11:46

Hi @ShalomToYouJackie! I actually got my BFP on Saturday 22nd and am due around 6th May. I actually feel the same way!

My symptoms are really mild. I have sensitive boobs and vivid dreams. I only feel really nauseous in a car or if I stand up too quick. I am hoping just because it is early days.

grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 12:00

Congratulations @ShalomToYouJackie and @KellyPonder22 I'm having quite a bit of cramping which I got last time but nothing else really. I'm constantly on knicker watch though 😂 also (TMI) I stink! I showered this morning and now I feel all gross. Hormones suck

ShalomToYouJackie · 26/08/2020 12:37

Glad to know it's not just me! I've noticed I am constantly hungry, even an hour after eating a big meal I'm starving again. I recently lost 5 stone and was feeling confident and happy with my weight but I think that's about to go out the window.

It's worth it to be able go grow a healthy baby though!

Pinkiii · 26/08/2020 13:43

@KellyPonder22 how exciting! I got my BFP on 22nd and apparently due 6th May as well. Due date buddies Grin

DoctorBambino · 26/08/2020 14:21

Hi everyone! I've been stalking this post for a few days, scared to jinx myself by joining but I'm taking the plunge!

Really glad to see lots of people with a lack of symptoms, very reassuring! I'm only really experiencing vivid dreams, a bit of insomnia and I am sooooo thirsty. First ever pregnancy so not sure what to expect really. I think I'm due first week of May, apps have said various things between 2nd and 6th.

Has anyone booked an early scan privately? I think i might try to do one around week 8!?

eternalflame2020 · 26/08/2020 14:55

Hi @doctorBambino congratulations! I've not had too many symptoms either but had an afternoon headache for the last few days. Might be dehydration because I'm weeing so much!! It's my first pregnancy too and I'm due around 1st May.

I have booked a private 8 weeks scan but it seems so far away. I'm too impatient.

Shinea · 26/08/2020 15:02

Hello All,
Congrats for all of you on your bfps.
I found at I am 4 weeks pregnant 5 days back(10 dpo) tho lines were very faint I waited till today to get dark line(15 dpo)
I had MMC in april first week at 20th week after that it was my 4th cycle TTC.
So far I am having bit of nausea, indigestion and lower left abdominal cramp.
Fingers crossed till the private scan at 7th week 🤞🤞

Hopeful1712 · 26/08/2020 15:25

@ShalomToYouJackie i’m so pleased to read somebody else is constantly hungry too! I was beginning to think it was just me and not actually a symptom. I lost 4.5 stone last year, so like you feel its all going to go back on!
Other symptoms i’ve had are bloating, solid boobs - not painful but deffo harder than usual! Tired all of the time and a bad back.
Toying with the idea of a private early scan, more so partner can be involved, our hospital are still notting partners in and think it really unfair that he would miss seeing our baby together. But don’t know if i’m tempting fait and should wait for the normal 12 week scan and then have a second afterwards for him?
Is anybody taking any supplements? I was taking Seven Seas Trying to Conceive which say can be taken until 12 weeks, so still taking that and a Vit D. Should I be taking anything else?

ShalomToYouJackie · 26/08/2020 15:59

Congratulations! So glad it's not just me although I think we will regret this in a couple of weeks when we start feeling really sick.

I'm trying to book a early scan for 7 weeks but there's only place that does it in my city and they're not answering the phone so think I'll have to book one for £79 in the nearest big city and also pay £25 for public transport to get there!

ShalomToYouJackie · 26/08/2020 16:02

@Hopeful1712 At least we know we are able to get the weight off and we can do it again.

I think I'm tired too, I just woke up from an accidental 2 hour nap.

I'm booking for a reassurance scan for DP to come to at around 7-8 weeks, I know things can go wrong between then and the 12 week scan but it's just for the peace of mind

Welliedays · 26/08/2020 16:13

How is everyone dealing with questions about having babies etc when you know you're pregnant but not in a position to tell said people?! I don't want to lie to people, but I don't want to say 'well now you mention it I'm actually nearly 5 weeks pregnant' either. And equally I won't really want to let on we're even thinking about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Andsoitbegins88 · 26/08/2020 17:42

Hi ladies - hoping over here from the August TTC thread! I’m 12DPO and have had 3 positive tests with the line getting progressively stronger. AF is due Friday so I’m going to take a digital CB test once and for all!

I’m 38, this is our first pregnancy and our first cycle of TTC - so we’re slightly shocked that it’s happened so quickly 😂 and I feel totally out of my depth already. By online calculators I’ll be due around 8th May, but next step is the digital test on Friday

Apart from some twinges, an absurd sense of smell and being very thirsty I don’t have any real symptoms yet.

Congrats to everyone with their BFPs this month!

MummyFD · 26/08/2020 17:55

@Welliedays I had this exact same situation the other day. I just said, it's something we are considering but we will think about it more when the time is right x

grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 18:12

@Welliedays I think it depends. Some people are the people who love me and would want to support me should the worst happen. I think it's no bad thing to tell them. Others I just give a vague "oh maybe one day" and move on

Hopeful1712 · 26/08/2020 18:30

@ShalomToYouJackie accidental nap sounds brill! I could deffo use one of them! I think I might look in to a scan.
Thats the thing with weight, at least this time around we know we cam do it, although I am hoping I can try and control my hunger, at this rate i’ll be in maternity clothing by week 10!

@Welliedays I just shrug it off with the usual ‘oh maybe one day...’ In the hope that they get the message that I don’t want to talk about it. Having said that I am WFH at the moment so not really seeing a lot of people!

@Andsoitbegins88 congratulations to you, I have everything crossed for you. I think it really takes you by surprise when it happens so quickly. I just said earlier that considering its something I’ve always wanted, I seem to know very little about it and what to expect!
