Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@Smp321 Google’s both a blessing and a curse isn’t it? Congrats on your bfp :)

VicTay26 · 25/08/2020 11:38

Hi all!! So I have came here just because I think in pregnant. AF is due this Friday coming. I have sore breasts but I have also been cramping every single day for the last week. It's not continuous so comes and goes, does anyone have this? I have a 2 year old son so it was definitely time to give him a sibling. I'm scared to test too soon and get a negative result.

Congratulations to you all on getting your BFPs! 🥰

Piggers946 · 25/08/2020 11:45

@Welliedays @Natty47 @Hopeful1712 Yea, I'm going to message my sister in a bit. She's in The Netherlands, where I'm originally from, so it'll be WhatsApp/phone and will likely talk to one of h2b's cousins who lives just down the road from us. We hadn't told anyone yet, so aside from him and me, no one knows so far. I can still talk to him at the moment, he's not incommunicado just yet, that won't be til about October or so thankfully but he's just as gutted that it happened just as he was having to leave again.

Natty47 · 25/08/2020 12:16

Fingers crossing for you @VicTay26! I didn’t get my first faint bfp until dpo13 (which was the day before my af was due). I had a good two or three days of bfns before that, so I think you’re probably doing a good thing for yourself by waiting! I did have cramping on and off for a few days before and sore breasts, but I normally get those before af so wasn’t a reliable bfp symptom for me x

leaferty · 25/08/2020 13:18

So sorry to hear that @Piggers946. Look after yourself, that's so tough. I'm sorry your partner is going to be away too :-(

I got my 3+ today at 5+1 (it was still 2-3 yesterday) so I'm feeling a little happier. I am completely and utterly exhausted though. The last 3 days I've had a 30 min sleep at lunchtime but I'm back to work tomorrow so gonna have to man up and power through. I don't remember feeling exhausted like this with my first but perhaps that's because I wasn't running around after a toddler.

Hopeful1712 · 25/08/2020 13:31

@Natty47 I know what you mean. I called the department about my bleeding/back ache on Monday morning as I was so worried about it and she said to put in the form so I did! Still kind of feels like I am tempting fait a little bit though! Confused
I think I just need to try and chill out for a couple of weeks rather then trying to scruitinise every little feeling that I have. Easier said than done though! Smile

Gingergeek89 · 25/08/2020 13:53

@Piggers946 sorry to hear that, thinking of you and hoping you are okay

littlegold · 25/08/2020 14:40

Sorry to hear that @Piggers946 Sounds like a good idea to confide in your sister. Sending lots of love x

littlegold · 25/08/2020 14:45

Top test yesterday and bottom one today. Today's test the line appears slightly thicker, is that a good sign or is it colour development to watch for?
I'm 3 days late for AF and I feel like mine aren't as dark as some I've seen at this stage 🙈 I've had a previous mmc so I'm naturally worrying!

Congrats to the recent bfp's x

Due date May 2021!
Welliedays · 25/08/2020 14:51

@littlegold I'd say the bottom line looks much darker so I'd try not to worry if I was you (I know easier said than done!

littlegold · 25/08/2020 14:56

Thank you @Welliedays I told myself that if I got caught again I'd not be as obsessive taking tests but it's so bloody hard x

Welliedays · 25/08/2020 15:02

@littlegold It really is, but also don't compare to other people's tests - remember everyone has different cycles, so ovulation dates, even conception days, time it takes little eggy to make its way down, implantation date etc etc can all make differences! Hcg only starts being produced once it's stuck, so if yours was earlier or later than someone else's the lines will be darker it lighter even though on the surface it appears you're at the same stage, you might not be at the same hcg stage! Don't test again, you don't need to!

littlegold · 25/08/2020 15:08

@Welliedays Yeah you're right. And I'd be telling someone else the exact same thing if it was the other way around but it's so easy not to take your own advice.
I have pcos and have taken metformin to conceive so it just worries me that my hormones aren't progressing as they should be. But like you say, today's test does look darker than yesterday's so I'm going to have to have a bit of faith in my body x

leaferty · 25/08/2020 15:14

It looks like great line progression to me @littlegold. My tests have taken a lot longer than 3 days after missed AF to go that dark!

Welliedays · 25/08/2020 15:16

@littlegold definitely.. And remember that you have no control over what happens, so don't waste money on tests as your body will soon tell you for free! I know it's really hard and it is so much easier to give advice than follow it 😂

littlegold · 25/08/2020 15:23

@leaferty I'm terrible for comparing to other people's test but then I only take note of the darker ones 🙈

Haha that is very true @Welliedays they aren't cheap are they, especially when you're buying a few 🤣

MummyFD · 25/08/2020 16:33

@leaferty congratulations on tour 3+. Mine is still 2-3 so hoping it's going to change soon 😭 be kind to yourself! The first few weeks can be awful, I definitely need to keep sitting down whereas usually I'm running around all over the place. How old is your toddler?xx

MummyFD · 25/08/2020 16:40

@Smp321 symptoms wise not a huge amount. A very strange buzzing feeling in my lower tummy! Backache occasionally, mild headaches in the afternoon and just feeling a bit uncomfortable. But as a first time mummy don't feel you need to compare symptoms for a viable pregnancy as every woman and even every pregnancy is different!

leaferty · 25/08/2020 16:49

@MummyFD 2 and a bit. He's pretty good, but of course inevitably quite full on!

I am trying to make the most of this time where I'm ok except for tiredness, because I know it took a while for the nausea & sickness to hit last time, but once it did it was hideous.

RoseandBloom · 25/08/2020 17:14

@Piggers946 so sorry to hear that. Sending lots of good wishes your way, I know it doesn’t help but I had a lot of bleeding early on with my DD and she’s now nearly 3. Will keep everything crossed for you but agree with the others that talking to your sister sounds like a really good idea. Flowers

RoseandBloom · 25/08/2020 17:31

@littlegold Totally get your anxiety about line strength. I’m first pregnancy after a miscarriage myself and doing the exact same. It’s so bard not to! Really do think your lines are looking great through!

ScottishStardust · 25/08/2020 17:31

Fingers crossed @Piggers946, easier said than said then done, try not to worry or stress and hopefully it will all work out for you guys xx

littlegold · 25/08/2020 17:37

Aww I'm sorry to hear of your miscarriage @RoseandBloom It's so heartbreaking isn't it.
My first pregnant I lost it at 7+2 but didn't find out until my scan at 11 weeks. I have seen had a daughter but I was so anxious throughout my whole pregnancy with her. I'm hoping I'll feel a bit more

littlegold · 25/08/2020 17:39

sorry I sent it early by accident.
I was saying I'm hoping I'll feel a bit more chilled out this time around.
Here's to lots of positive vibes for us both x

abitfunny · 25/08/2020 19:59

Can I join too?! Hi fellow May mummy’s. Was impatient over the weekend and got a faint positive but a solid positive this morning at 14dpo. Would be due early May.

This is my second and definitely feeling more symptoms this time round. AF is due today and have had bad cramping. Also spent most of the day eating carbs and sugar at work. So looks like I’ll be putting on 4 stone again like I did with the last one. Wahhhh.

Am definitely more anxious this time round about losing it - as someone mentioned above, thinks it’s because I know so many women who have lost babies. Fingers crossed for us all x
