Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@NRDoss did you have to get referred by gp?

I’m getting concerned by this pain, but I don’t want to ring the go, to get an appointment, to get referred to EPU. It’s such a long winded thing, and the fact I have to be on my own.

Shinea · 15/09/2020 13:27

Hello ladies,
So I turn 7 weeks today and having bit of fever and sore throat. I know reason is this bad weather here. But i m scared will it affect my baby in anyway :(

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 13:57

@Sansa87 I had to first send an econsult form as my practice isn't accepting direct calls. Had to wait quite some time before my GP called me yesterday morning and referred to EPU. I have been directly in touch with them since.

I did have EPU number, but still contacted GP, just in case. It is a long process, but once you get through to EPU things do move quite quickly.

How bad is your pain now?

Sansa87 · 15/09/2020 14:03

@NRDoss it’s been 7 weeks since my surgery for the mmc, so I don’t think I’ll be on their books anymore.

The pain is... just there. It’s sharp, yet dull, and very central and low. Paracetamol isn’t touching it. I wouldn’t say it’s awful pain, but I’m not able to ignore it.

UnicornAndSparkles · 15/09/2020 14:43

How are you feeling now @Sansa87? Did you call the GP?

Had my midwife apt and scan. All good, healthy heartbeat and measuring 7+2, a week behind what I'd calculated but irregular periods contributed to that inaccuracy! Feeling reassured.

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 14:47

@Sansa87 I think you will still be on GP and EPU's records. I had MMC on May (natural management) and during my call with GP, she was able to see and told me that she is aware of it.

Also, during my call with EPU yesterday, the nurse was also able to identify from my name and date of birth.

Sometimes, the pain wouldn't actually mean that something is wrong - the baby would be fine. But, you can still call EPU or GP, since you underwent surgery, they may call you in.

Gingergeek89 · 15/09/2020 15:01

@UnicornAndSparkles glad it all went well for you! Also 7+2 from the measurement

Thank you for all the well wishes, scans went really well. Anyone who is looking into an early scan, transvaginal ones are not too bad at all, definitely more comfortable than a smear. Lovely being able to share the moment with DH

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 15:08

@UnicornAndSparkles That's great Smile Glad that you are feeling reassured. Take care!

Pinkiii · 15/09/2020 16:08

@UnicornAndSparkles great news about the Scan! Glad everything is looking well.

Looking forward to hearing more positive scan stories.

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 16:16

Hi all,, it’s great reading your comments and reassuring. I’m somewhere between 15-19 dpo today and I think it’s on the lower side as I’m still getting only a faint bfp. It’s stronger than the first ones at the end of last week though. I haven’t told anyone yet as I’m too scared to after my miscarriage in June and procedure in early July. Because it’s faint I’m a little fearful it’s happened again. I joined the babies due in February 21 ... group first of all. There seem to be many here like me with similar stories who have fallen again quickly! Today I simply decided to just be grateful. I’m grateful I carried a little one for eight weeks (ten before procedure) and will enjoy each day if this pregnancy that I get. ... easier said than done sometimes. I’ve spent way too much time on Google when I should be working from home!!
It is reassuring that many others are going through this same thing. Good luck ladies.

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 16:22

@UnicornAndSparkles congratulations on the scan!

@Sansa87 I am really sorry to hear of your pain. Hoping you get to talk to a go and they can reassure you today.

@NRDoss fingers very much crossed that your spotting stops.

I very much feel your pain and worry ladies

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 16:23

@Gingergeek89 @UnicornAndSparkles So pleases your scans went well, I’ll be between 7+2 and 8+3 for mine on 3rd October, feels so long away.

@LittleTiger007 Welcome and hoping for a sticky bean for you, I got my BFP last Monday and we’ve not told anyone yet, I just can’t bring myself too after the loss early on in June and want to keep it as our little secret for as long as I can! Hope with time I feel different x

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 16:27

Hi @Littlebee1990 I feel the same way. I can’t put family through the rollercoaster again until we are a lot further down the road this time (maybe Christmas?)

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 16:30

@Colacrisp I hope you get to see (or at least speak to) the dr soon. There are so many early miscarriages that they often don’t make appointments until about 8 weeks from what I can work out. I’m waiting until around that point anyway. Don’t let that worry you. Good luck.

leftitlate37 · 15/09/2020 16:45

hi all! glad to hear scans went well for you lot who had them :) @Gingergeek89 thanks, thats reassuring to know, i was a bit freaked out by the thought of a transvaginal one. Do you mind me asking, Was this an NHS appt or did u pay to get an early scan?
@NRDoss and @Sansa87 hope u are both doing ok at the mo.

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 17:02

@LittleTiger007 Welcome and thank you so much! I can understand about the way you feel. I'm so determined not to tell my parents until 12th week - last time I felt emotional pain in giving them bad news while I was going through it.

I pray and hope that it will all be fine for you this time Smile

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 17:13

@leftitlate37 thanks for asking! Yes, I'm well now. But I think, I would have total mental peace only after my scan on Thursday. Fingers crossed

babyb2nd · 15/09/2020 17:14

@emdh - I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry too much. These things happen and we were in such uncertain times (and still are) so completely understand. You should allow yourself the same understanding xx I'm sure everything will work out just fine xxx

Gingergeek89 · 15/09/2020 17:14

@leftitlate37 was a private scan as no indication to go through an EPU Smile. Definitely worth it and nice to have an image to look at

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 17:15

Does anyone else suffer with IBS? Mine has been so bad the last few days and wondering if pregnancy could make it worse.. such bad indigestion it’s painful! X

babyb2nd · 15/09/2020 17:17

@Littlebee1990 thank you for that, I'll do that now 😊

Cafeaulait27 · 15/09/2020 17:19

@LittleTiger007 when I was 16 dpo I only got a very faint positive, it wasn’t until I was almost 6 weeks (which is what I am now) that I got a strong line. Maybe just wait a bit longer and then do another test for reassurance. Will you be having an early scan?

Fingers crossed for you!

Cafeaulait27 · 15/09/2020 17:23

@leftitlate37 I’m having a private early scan which will be a vaginal one and you have the option to ask for a female sonographer so I did.

I’ve had a vaginal scan before to diagnose pcos and it was with a male doctor who I’d never met before, I got quite upset and scared (probably also because of what it was diagnosing too) so I didn’t want to have a male one again. I know they’re all professionals but it just made me feel weirdly violated and traumatised.

I feel ok about this scan though as it’s hopefully for a nice reason (if all is progressing well) and apparently vaginal ones are more accurate and give better images. ☺️

CarpeDiem83 · 15/09/2020 17:37

Hi all,

Tentatively joining the thread as got my BFP on Sunday! Calculators say due date around 23rd May, this will be my second as I have an almost three year old. Cant believe I'm doing it all again! 🙈

I've been lurking on the thread for a little while - has someone set up a Facebook group? Would love to join that too, the one from my daughters birth month is still going strong getting on for four years later!

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 18:11

Welcome @CarpeDiem83 and congrats!
I don’t think there is a Facebook group yet? I think we’re all staying anonymous for a little while longer, perhaps we can get one set up when we’re all a little further down the line!?
