Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

There is a Facebook group, but I have no idea how you join it atm.

I’m still cramping, & boobs have got softer. I feel different. Very worried. I regret moaning how much they hurt on Sunday

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 19:34

I’d love to join the Facebook group in a few weeks but I’m too paranoid at the moment 🤣🙈

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 20:14

Thank you @NRDoss

That’s good to know @Cafeaulait27 and yes I will probably pay for a private one as my doctor last time refused to believe it was possible for me to be pregnant because I’m over 40. She flatly said it was impossible. So if we get that far, I want to go to her with a scan! I don’t want to go through the same thing I went through last time. When I miscarried she was beyond heartless.

LittleTiger007 · 15/09/2020 20:18

Welcome @CarpeDiem83!
@Cafeaulait27 I’m sorry you had a male sonographer who made you feel so uncomfortable. That sucks. I had a woman and she was ok but like the doctor she said my positive pregnancy test will be down to menopause hormones. Then when she did the scan she actually saw that I was indeed pregnant. Sadly I then lost it. I know it will take a miracle at my age but I also know these symptoms I’m having are def not menopause!

Cafeaulait27 · 15/09/2020 22:36

@LittleTiger007 well my mum had me at 42 so I know it’s definitely possible!

Hope it all works out for you xx

LittleTiger007 · 16/09/2020 08:55

@Cafeaulait27 thank you. Good luck to you too

leftitlate37 · 16/09/2020 09:20

thanks for the info @Cafeaulait27 - sorry you'd not had a great experience before. defo sounds a good move to have asked for female sonographer!
@Sansa87 r u ok today? i know what you mean, i've woken up today and my boobs feel v different to how they have for last 2 weeks, still tender but not like they had been, and actually otherwise feeling pretty good today...and hoping that this is all ok! i'm always going to find something to worry about, so imagine the lack of symptoms, or too many symptoms is permanently gonna bother me :s
just found out our local hosp where im waiting for a booking appt for has a bad outbreak of covid ....wondering if can ask for it to be over phone and get bloods done via the GP? or is this when they scan you so has to be face to face?!

Sansa87 · 16/09/2020 09:24

@leftitlate37 I just spoke to the doctor who is going to text me within the next hour to see if EPU will see me. He was awful 😔

leftitlate37 · 16/09/2020 09:28

oh jeez so sorry @Sansa87 - am keeping everything crossed for you. let us know how u get on x

Laurenemma13 · 16/09/2020 10:00

Hows everyone feeling today?

Sorry to hear @sansa87. Fingers crossed all okay for you x

NRDoss · 16/09/2020 10:08

@Sansa87 oh no, so sorry that you had an awful experience with GP. But I hope EPU people will see you soon and answer your concerns. The waiting time is so terrible, but don't lose hope. I heard that sometimes the symptoms fluctuate a bit. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

@leftitlate37 the 8th week booking appt is just a round of questions and more of getting to know you. I don't think they go for scan during booking appt (or so I heard) - first scan with NHS will be around 12 weeks. So, probably the midwifery unit will call and talk to you about alternate ways to do this appt. Or you can also call them and assess the situation.

Sansa87 · 16/09/2020 11:21

I have to go for a scan at 9am tomorrow morning.

Cafeaulait27 · 16/09/2020 11:27

Fingers crossed for you @Sansa87 xxx

Rumples · 16/09/2020 11:38

@Sansa87 so sorry you're having such a tough time - fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

leftitlate37 · 16/09/2020 11:50

Thanks @NRDoss for the advice that's really helpful.
@Laurenemma13 how r u today?!
Glad you have got something sorted for tomorrow first thing @Sansa87, take care of yourself in meantime...thinking of you x

UnicornAndSparkles · 16/09/2020 12:06

Afternoon ladies.

I had my booking apt yesterday so thought I'd share what to expect. Im sure different trusts vary, but this what I had:

1h apt
Blood taken
Urine taken
Form discussed (filled this in pre-appointment)
General discussion about medical history of yourself and close relatives
Birth options discussion
Next steps discussion.

For my trust, next steps are to receive a letter telling me the date and time of my scan, which should be around the 11-13 week mark. Thereafter I have another face to face midwife apt at 16 weeks.

Littlebee1990 · 16/09/2020 12:25

@Sansa87 I’m so sorry you’re having such a rough time, I’m glad you have a scan tomorrow and hoping for good news for you ❤️❤️

leftitlate37 · 16/09/2020 12:34

Thanks @UnicornAndSparkles that's really helpful! Hope it all went ok for u! So much to think about already :s

Laurenemma13 · 16/09/2020 12:44

@sansa87 keeping wverythokg crossed for you x
@leftitlate37 all good here, trying not too worry! I'm feeling different everyday tbh but wondering when this pregnancy glow will hit ... got such a bad outbreak haha 🤣 how are you doing today? Xx
@UnicornAndSparkles I've done a referral and already got my first appointment and my first scan as well, not sure if it's different depending where you are? X
Anyway I've booked an early scan as I cant wait that long 🙈 xx

leftitlate37 · 16/09/2020 12:48

Hahaha @Laurenemma13 oh thank goodness it's not just me!! 3 massive spots on my chin...thanks goodness I can turn off the video on work calls haha. Definitely NOT a glow!! Glad u got first appt sorted that's good, and exciting!! I've made 2 diff calls and told to prob expect a letter in post in a few weeks.

Laurenemma13 · 16/09/2020 12:56

@leftitlate37 definitely not jur you, I've ev3n got blemishes on my nose. More like Rudolph glow 🤣
Yeah I'm so excited, my first scan with NHS is actually on my birthday but not til like 12.5 weeks so booked a scan for 8weeks last night, no way I could wait that long lol!! Once I get that and know everythings okay will feel much better about telling our family xxx

LittleTiger007 · 16/09/2020 14:47

@Sansa87 I’m sorry the doctor was horrible. Everything’s crossed for you for tomorrow.
@UnicornAndSparkles thanks for the info on the booking apt. I hope yours went well.
I am also having a break out! Apparently some people glow, but for a large number of women that glow turns into acne! Great. It will be worth it if we get to the finish post however. In the past couple of days my boobs are really hurting and I am feeling properly sick rather than the mildly nauseous that I’ve been so far. I hope everyone is having a good day.

LittleTiger007 · 16/09/2020 14:54

@Laurenemma13 having a scan on your birthday will hopefully be very special! My birthday falls in week 9... hoping things are still going strong by then.

ShalomToYouJackie · 16/09/2020 16:49

We have a FB group with about 50 members in but it's set to hidden so nobody's friends see that they're in the group.

If you want to join then PM me and I can give you a link to my profile to add me and I can add you to the group then unfriend you again :)

fingerscrossed95 · 16/09/2020 17:26

@ShalomToYouJackie I've pm'd you, I'd love to join the Facebook group 🥰
