Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@Colacrisp Congratulations, I feel much the same and still don’t believe it!

I also contacted my doctor as I had a chemical pregnancy in June so extra worried and they basically sent me a link to self refer and told me I’d get a letter in the post.. So much the same here tbh! X

Colacrisp · 14/09/2020 19:35

@Littlebee1990 oh bless you I bet you are worried! I would have been the same, it just feels so impersonal!

I suppose you just think of it differently in your head don't you! I hope you get a date for your first appointment soon! Xx

Welliedays · 14/09/2020 20:36

Yup @colacrisp, I'm a first timer and I haven't even told my doctor. I had a chemical pregnancy so had spoken to thr midwife about that so just did a self referral this time as I knew the process. I guess there's nothing doctors can do so it would just waste an appointment seeing them. It does feel weird though that they don't see you

sal1987 · 14/09/2020 20:57

@MJM1608 sending so much love to you. Make sure you take the time to look after yourself. 💗💗

sal1987 · 14/09/2020 20:59

@Colacrisp unfortunately this is the norm. With my first about 18 months ago it was a case of ring the doctors and they referred me straight to the midwife. This time I had to self refer and I'm waiting to hear back from them between 8-10 weeks when they will do the first appointment and organise the first scan.

JCPB91 · 14/09/2020 21:58

Hi all, I'm currently 5+6 so expecting in May, congratulations to you all!
And I'm so sorry for those of you who have had bad news recently, sending you lots of love 💕

I'm quite new to MumsNet, can anyone point me in the right direction to understand the abbreviations please e.g. DH, BFP, MMC... they're loads to learn 😂

DMBX · 14/09/2020 23:49

Anyone else's symptoms come and go, I'll have cramps now and again, sore backs occasionally but the sore boobs have gone for now.

Makes us worry but I'm also reading it's normal to come and go?

Sansa87 · 15/09/2020 05:27

@DMBX I’m sat on the sofa trying not to try because I woke up from a dream I was miscarrying. Noticed my boobs don’t really hurt at all today, & my cramping is still quite constant. It just feels like I’m coming on my period. No nausea this morning yet, though I appreciate it is stil very early, but only got a minimal amount yesterday too, but didn’t think too much of it because boobs. Checked this morning and I’ve also got brown cream discharge

Need to start getting ready for work, but I just want to hide in bed

Rumples · 15/09/2020 06:03

@DMBX my boobs would stop hurting then be back to being sore the next day. Also had cramps on and off.

Feel like I've constantly been googling things this past week 🙈.

Colacrisp · 15/09/2020 06:14

I have had the feeling of coming on since I found out I was pregnant, to the point I would go toilet just to check if anything was there, my boobs are really sore and only fractionally nauseous on occasions.

I'm 5+2 though so probably a little early for major symptoms, but yours sounds the same so I'm guessing it's normal.

My DH also told me I am being really aggressive in the way I say things, I personally don't think I am at all, but I will take it on board Confused

Just waiting on my first appointment date now, which the girls have assured me is the norm way of being referred (thanks ladies)

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 06:58

@Sansa87 @Colacrisp @DMBX I feel the same re symptoms, I have nothing apart from waking up in the middle of night to wee, convinced they’ll be blood every time I go for a wee.

@Rumples Yup I’ve lived on google too, before it was google conception stuff and now it’s googling pregnancy stuff... I’m obsessed!!

@Beepbeep42 Thank you! Great to see you here too, how far along are you? How are you feeling?

@JCPB91 Congrats! You’ll soon get used to the abbreviations, if you literally google “mumsnet abbreviations then you’ll get all of them appear and the meanings!”

I’m somewhere between 4+5 & 5+5 today, booked a private scan for 3rd October.. only 18 sleeps to go 🙄😩

leftitlate37 · 15/09/2020 07:07

As I came on here this morning cos was worrying your posts have somewhat reassured me! Worried re symptoms too! @Colacrisp I'm same as u at 5+2 and keep going for a wee and being paranoid there will be something there. Boobs are really sore and have been since ovulation I swear but actually even thats becoming more localised which worries me its going entirely argh.
Hi and congrats to all the others just joined (cant tag u all when using my phone!)

Gingergeek89 · 15/09/2020 07:29

Private reassurance scan booked for today (at 7+4). This way DH can be with me at the scan as our trust aren’t allowing partners and hopefully will give some good news

So sorry to hear from those who have had bad news, I hope that you are all okay and good luck for your next BFPs soon

With regards to symptoms, mine have fluctuated a lot too. Found the boob pain eased after a couple of weeks and fatigue and constant nausea are now the favourites. The hormones will fluctuate a lot at this point so makes sense that the symptoms do too.

Laurenemma13 · 15/09/2020 07:33

Hi All,
Hope you dont mind if I join 😊
Just got my BFP at the weekend and due round about 25-26th May.
Bang on 4 weeks today and honestly am so anxious that something will go wrong. We aren't telling anyone yet as it's so early and want to get the first scan done.
I've done a FRER 3 days in a row and today I was a bit worried it wasnt any darker but also wasnt any lighter at 12dpo and also got lines in another 2 different tests 🙈

Anyway that's my rambling ...

Littlebee1990 · 15/09/2020 07:42

Ahh good luck today @Gingergeek89, please let us know how you get on.

@Laurenemma13 Glad to see you here! I did loads of tests in my first few day’s, remember your HCG levels typically rise every 48 hours so it’s normal for tests not to darken if done close together xx

cp232 · 15/09/2020 07:47

@Laurenemma13 my test only got darker when I approached 5 weeks - I left it 2/3 days and it went from faint and you’d sort of know to so dark you couldn’t miss it! Congratulations 🙂

Sophi123 · 15/09/2020 07:54

Morning! Good luck today @Gingergeek89!

Trying hard not to test today. Going to leave it until Thursday if possible.

Random question - did anyone eat loads of random stuff when trying to get pregnant like grapefruit juice, pineapple, pomegranate juice, Brazil nuts? If so, are any of them worth continuing/any super foods for early pregnancy?

leftitlate37 · 15/09/2020 08:13

Good luck today @Gingergeek89!! Hope all goes well! Hi @Laurenemma13 nice to have u over on this page too now :) think natural that we may be anxious at this stage, totally with u on that. Just trying to do what can do like eat healthily and cut the caffeine and I know what will be will be.. doesnt make it easier eh!
Anyone else been having a pounding heart, my resting heart rate gone up about 10bpm!! Feels like its proper thumping.

emdh · 15/09/2020 08:55

Hi everyone :)

Hoping I can join, pregnant for the first time and think I am about 7 weeks so due early May. Took the morning after pill as my job became uncertain due to Coronavirus (both regretted taking it afterwards) anyway the pill either failed or we conceived after taking it.. not sure which. (Job is now safe thankfully and we are really happy to be pregnant)- keeping fingers crossed all works out.

Have booked a private 8 week scan which is on the 22nd Sept, just want my partner with me if there is something wrong, having anxiety and regret about the morning after pill.

Would love to join if thats okay x

Em4815 · 15/09/2020 08:56

5 weeks today and got my 3+ on ClearBlue! Taking it as a good sign as I don't really feel like I've had many symptoms - possibly the odd wave of very very mild feeling of nausea and a few cramps (plus missed a period definitely now!) Haven't called the doctor yet as after 9 months of trying it hasn't felt very real to be honest! Will call tomorrow and will definitely look at getting an early scan - should you tell the doctor/midwife you plan to do it do you know? First time here so don't have a clue!

UnicornAndSparkles · 15/09/2020 09:00

Welcome newbies Smile

First midwife apt and scan at 8+2 for me today.

Hope your scan goes well @Gingergeek89

Laurenemma13 · 15/09/2020 09:07

@Littlebee1990 good to see you! Yeah, i'm a natural worrier but even told myself this morning that I had 3 different tests showing positive, 2 of which were darker!
@cp232 thanks so much, its so reassuring being on here and knowing others are going through the same as I've genuinely thought at times I'm losing it Grin
@leftitlate37 good to see you here! yeah its natural but I've done the same, even on the decaf tea now. I've been so tired its unreal, ready for bed at 6pm and definitely felt my heart racing a bit at times as well xx

Gingergeek89 · 15/09/2020 09:17

@UnicornAndSparkles good luck with today hope all goes well

Thank you everyone, fingers crossed all good and then midwife booking in appointment is tomorrow

Welcome to the newcomers!

Rumples · 15/09/2020 10:05

@UnicornAndSparkles & @Gingergeek89 Good luck to you both today! 😊

NRDoss · 15/09/2020 13:06

@UnicornAndSparkles good luck for your appointments today. Hope all goes well.

I'm still having mild spotting which kind of progressed towards having stringy black bits coming out. Really scared here as the pattern was same last time before my MMC. Called EPU and booked an appointment for early scan on Thursday. Not sure, what should I expect at this point, but sincerely hoping that everything should be fine during the appointment.
