Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

No help at all @ScottishStardust but man I’m jealous, I just can’t stop eating. I’m sat at work with the buttons on my trousers undone stopping myself from going to buy cheesy chips... I don’t even think I’m hungry, it’s more a want than a need

Welliedays · 14/09/2020 13:38

Yes @scottishstardust, I'm a week ahead of you and have also had no appetite (I've also had extreme nausea though). Just eat what you feel like, I find plain foods are best at persuading me to eat them, so rich tea biscuits, bread and butter, potatoes, rice krispies and water. Baby doesn't actually need you to eat particularly well at the moment, it will get what it needs from you anyway so don't worry about that. Just try not to get dehydrated! Fresh air helps me as well. And if you feel like something, just eat it

@leftitlate37 @DMBX @Elspethelf @Beepbeep42@Pinkiii - thank you all again for the support, really appreciated the kind words. Sadly wasn’t meant to be & it was an early miscarriage, nothing showed up on the scan. Hope to get my BFP again soon. Wishing you all well with the rest of your pregnancies xxx

leftitlate37 · 14/09/2020 13:44

Oh @MJM1608 I'm so so sorry to hear this I really am. Cant imagine how u r feeling right now, but u know that excitement we felt on that other page...you will get that again soon. And it's a really good sign that u got that BFP in the first place with everything that u had had going on, so dont despair, u will get that again soon. Thinking of u and your OH.xxx

MJM1608 · 14/09/2020 14:06

@leftitlate37 thank you x it’s hard when you think of the buzz & excitement you feel getting your BFP to the sadness when it doesn’t work out. Luckily it’s been only 7 months & I’m 29, and have had that positive test which is obviously really reassuring like you say. Will deffo make us more cautious next time round, as we were already planning nurseries & telling friends/family. Hopefully not long to go until the next. Sending you love as you start your pregnancy journey ❤️❤️

@Sophi123 Wow were very similar stories, it’s so scary after a loss isn’t it. I’m petrified but also keep telling myself that if I do loose this bubba it’s going to hurt just as much as if I was excited, only lying to myself really! Your tests looks fine, try not to worry.

@MJM1608 I am so sorry, if it makes you feel any better I had exactly the same at around 5 weeks in June.. I had to leave the “due March 2021” board and now I’m back here for May, I really hope we’re all seeing you again really soon. For now, look after yourself and sending you lots of love x

DMBX · 14/09/2020 14:18

@mjm1608 so sorry to hear that!

It'll come around again soon and hopefully all will go well next time around. Keep strong and don't give up hope!

Pinkiii · 14/09/2020 14:26

@MJM1608 oh gosh, so sorry to hear that. Please look after yourself. It wasn’t meant to be this time but wishing you all the best for the future, you will get your BFP and baby soon

ScottishStardust · 14/09/2020 14:30

I did think it was normal, but can't help but thinking crisps and a 3 spoonfuls of soup isn't good for the little thing!! I'm taking all prenatal vitamins so hopefully that'll do the trick!

Living off cereal sounds great tbh! Haha! Crisps are going down well.. technically a vegetable right 🤣

Oh no @Sansa87... prepregnant me would be like that!! Maybe should count this as a blessing! Cheesy chips... yum!!

MJM1608 · 14/09/2020 14:31

@Littlebee1990 that’s really positive & delighted for you!! Do you mind telling me when you started trying after your MC? Did you wait a period or did you ovulate again that month? I guess it’s better to find out earlier than later which is the only comfort.

@DMBX thank you! I’ve actually taken it better than I though, no tears, just want to get on with it and hopefully get a BFP soon 😊 xxx

Littlebee1990 · 14/09/2020 14:34

@MJM1608 I’ve seen lots of people get their BFP straight after, a few people on these boards! The day I started bleeding was CD1 and my cycle was a little messed up, my BBT didn’t register any ovulation and AF didn’t arrive until CD40! I got this BFP the month after though ❤️ xxx

Sansa87 · 14/09/2020 14:38

@MJM1608 I’m so sorry for your Loss.

I had surgery for a missed miscarriage on 27th July, for my negative hpt on 5th August, started using opk’s, & got a clear positive on a frer on 28th August.

I haven’t technically had a period since 20th May. I will say i didn’t think it would bother me, but I do think I’m more worried, and scared for a scan as I ovulated a week later than usual, so going by cd 1 I’m actually over 7 weeks, but going by ovulation I’m just over 6 weeks.

I just couldn’t bring myself to wait another month before ttc again. We were super lucky it we conceived first time both times (I tried for 8 years with an ex to no avail, so I know how “impossible” getting pregnant is)

Littlebee1990 · 14/09/2020 14:49

Have pre planned drinks with my best friends who all know we’re TTC and all seem to know my cycle better than me.. 2 have text me asking if I’ve come on my period and it’s going to be so obvious when I don’t drink on Saturday but I just can’t tell anyone yet. It’s too scary after last time, none of them have experienced a loss and all fell pregnant first month and I’m just not ready to tell them yet but the lying is really stressing me out.. I would never dream of asking someone ever!

MJM1608 · 14/09/2020 14:49

@Pinkiii really love this group & how kind everyone is, strangers know more about me than my own friends at this point! Hope all goes well for you xx

@Littlebee1990 @Sansa87 thank you ladies for sharing your experiences & sorry for your MCs, wouldn’t wish it on anyone! The waiting for a new cycle must be so hard, I totally understand. Wishing you both well for the remainder of your pregnancies ❤️ xxx

Welliedays · 14/09/2020 15:03

@mjm1608 I had an chemical pregnancy and then started trying straight away again. Counted first day of bleed as cd1. I don't temp or anything but I don't think my cycle can have been messed up as I got a BFP straight away.. So I'm 4 weeks being where I'd be if the other one had stuck

Beepbeep42 · 14/09/2020 15:20

@MJM1608 I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had an early loss at 4+4 and the very next cycle led to my (current) BFP. My friend was the same. Not everybody is that lucky but if that gives you some hope!

Hi @littlebee1990 Smile I was hoping you'd hop over to here! How are you? I'm finding I'm not excited yet, like I'm not allowing myself to be just yet. I feel I wont until the scan tbh.

I'm definitely leaning towards eating all the things!

UnicornAndSparkles · 14/09/2020 15:23

Im so sorry to hear of the losses. Such an awful thing, I hope you're being kind to yourselves.

Scan day for me tomorrow, I'll be 8+2. Fingers crossed all goes OK. I've also got my first midwife apt earlier in the day tomorrow, really bad timing tbh as I will just have to presume everything is OK and won't find out until 4h after the appointment.

Apparently the scan is a abdominal one; last time around at 7 weeks I had a vaginal one with a probe as they said it was too early for a abdominal one. I hope something shows up. 8 weeks seems very early to see anything on an abdominal scan. Has anyone else had a successful abdominal scan this early?

The nausea is finally starting to lift very slightly after 3 weeks, boobs and nipples are still huge and sore and I'm wanting to eat everything in sight!

NRDoss · 14/09/2020 15:48

@MJM1608 - so sorry for you loss. I was supposed to take pessaries for my mmc, but it went off naturally before my appointment. I hope and pray that you will get your BFP soon Smile

NRDoss · 14/09/2020 15:52

I'm currently 5w6d and having a mild brown spotting since yesterday, it isn't a lot but could see one or two streaks in the roll after weeing.
Is the spotting normal during this time? I called EPU and they asked me to monitor and see how it goes for the week, because they said it is too early to see in a viability scan now.

MJM1608 · 14/09/2020 16:08

Thank you everyone!! Really appreciate your kindness! Have a strong head on my shoulders so feeling really optimistic and looking forward to trying again. Wishing you all well for your May babies ❤️❤️Xxx

ScottishStardust · 14/09/2020 16:11

@MJM1608 so sorry to hear about your miscarriage!! Take time to take care of yourself xx

cp232 · 14/09/2020 18:08

Hi ladies! I had my very faint positive last week leading into a much more obvious one this week! This will be my third baby, and I’m due May 17th. We really didn’t think it would happen as I’m still breastfeeding my second and had a very short luteal phase so it was a nice surprise when it did! I’m only 15-16dpo but a week and a half late! So far the nausea, cramps and exhaustion are just as I remember it and I know it’s going to get worse 😂 This is the first time I’ve joined something like this, happy to join over on Facebook too! Congratulations everyone xx

Colacrisp · 14/09/2020 19:05

Hello ladies!!

So after 3 BFP and a missed period I think my mind is coming around that I'm not dreaming it, I am pregnant :) still has not sunk in yet!

My question to you guys is what has your experience been with speaking to the doctor/seeing a doctor?

I called my practice almost 30 times Friday, and my DH called for me from 8am - 10am trying to get through, when he had no luck I took to the website and sent an email...basically saying I would like to speak to the doctor as I have recently found out I am pregnant and this is all very new to me and I don't know what I need to do in terms of appointments etc but I haven't been able to speak to anyone, can someone call me to arrange an appointment.

About an hour later I got a text message from my surgery (attached), no missed calls, no email back.

I know this is probably due to COVID etc but I feel a little disappointed as a first timer 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is this normal do I just wait for a midwife and not speak to my doctor at all?

Due date May 2021!
