Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

Hey all, has anyone had any bleeding early pregnancy? I'm only 4 weeks +4 but have had quite a bit of brown blood today. Never had it with number 1. Obviously old blood, not sure if it's a good sign it's not fresh blood, possibly old implantation bleeding?

leftitlate37 · 12/09/2020 18:44

hi all! hope it's ok to join this & congrats everyone (and nice to see folk from the conception pages @MJM1608!!). we're only about 4+5 i think. excited and a bit anxious about how things will work out but keeping everything crossed! first one for us so sure be grateful for advice/tips from others!

Ickli · 12/09/2020 18:58

@bez91 I had quite a bit of brown spotting in early week 4. Hope it's all ok for you.

I have my booking appointment when I'll be 6w+4, which sounds early compared to most of you. Not complaining, as it's my first and I'll appreciate being able to talk to the midwife - but a bit surprised that there's variation between 6-10 weeks.

MJM1608 · 12/09/2020 19:11

@bez91 I think light spotting is normal, I had some a few days ago but only once. As long as it doesn’t get heavier it should be fine.

@leftitlate37 it’s weird joining the pregnancy group now!! How you been feeling? Still blows my mind! Finding it soooo hard not telling anyone 😞 my first too (can’t remember if I mentioned), any idea what to do with ourselves now? 😄

Pinkiii · 12/09/2020 19:32

Hello to the newcomers!! Congrats on BFP’s. Hope everyone is doing well!

I have been floored last few days with utter exhaustion, its really taking it out of me. luckily husband has been off, not looking forward to him going back to work.

bez91 · 12/09/2020 19:49

Thank you for the reassurance @MJM1608 and @Ickli really appreciate it. Will see what happens over the next few days x

leftitlate37 · 12/09/2020 20:10

poor u @Pinkiii - utter exhaustion sounds just horrid. I'm dreading that stage. glad hubby has been off but shame he has to go back to work, can u just relax at home a bit?

Jemstar1820 · 12/09/2020 20:17

Congrats Ladies...

Have a little boy at 4, but Had 2 miscarriages this year so feeling so uneasy.

What’s been your symptoms at this stage? Any cramping? I’ve been put on progesterone pessarys I’m praying this sticks!

X

MJM1608 · 12/09/2020 20:25

@leftitlate37 I know the anxiety is horrific! Oh nooo that’s a shame! I don’t have sore boobs at all just cramps & nausea still. Aww that’s fab. I’m dying to tell someone but going to wait until at least 10 weeks, luckily my parents don’t live near me & I can avoid my friends with the restrictions 😂 sorry I can’t remember - have you booked appointments yet?

@Jemstar1820 congratulations! Praying it sticks for us all too 🤞🏼I just have cramp, nausea & peeing lots, also had vivid dreams & cant tell if I’m tired or just bored! How you feeling? xx

Jemstar1820 · 12/09/2020 20:47

Thank you!

Had cramping on & off, tonight a sore lower back which is weird but also worrying! My boobs are super sensitive. Feel like the days are going so slow aren’t they.

I’m just dying for the weeks to go by until my 8 week scan!

How far along are u? Xx

DMBX · 12/09/2020 21:55

@MJM1608

We are going to do that, hopefully they can bring it forward.

We've also got a scan booked for our 7th week (a week tomorrow actually!) hope all goes well!

MJM1608 · 12/09/2020 22:07

@DMBX That’s brilliant - I’m sure it will go well 😁 My appointment is a week thursday & I wish it was tomorrow!!! 😂 have you done any planning or just processing everything until the 1st scan? Xx

DMBX · 12/09/2020 22:33

@MJM1608 still really processing only told our parents yesterday as neither of us could keep our mouths shut for much longer, and since I had to tell work already. We have made an amazon wish list. Have you done any planning? Will let you know how we get on Smile

luckylakes · 13/09/2020 04:55

Is there room for one more?

Think I'm due 23-25th May so a lot later than most of you. I've just read through the whole thread and found it most reassuring. We all have the same worries!

I'm 42 so my chances of a miscarriage are higher so do feel anxious especially as I had a miscarriage last year. Trying my best to manage the thoughts and just taking one day at a time.

My other DC are 12 and 8 so I feel like a first timer again.

leftitlate37 · 13/09/2020 07:21

Ah congrats @luckylakes! That's amazing news. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage last year. I can imagine your anxiety with this, altho am in diff situation in terms of age etc I know my chances of a miscarriage are higher at my age too. Sounds like u r being realistic tho and just taking each day as it comes, it's allwe can do really! Keep everything crossed for u tho.
@DMBX and @MJM1608 its exciting your Scans are soon, let us know how u get on! Might look into that this week I think, did u have a long wait for appointment?
@Jemstar1820 congrats too!! Hope your back is ok! Mines rubbish most of the time anyway so fully expect it to carry on now, think it's fairly expected eh so hope u dont worry too much! I need to do more yoga and stuff I think else goodness knows what itll be like further down the line!
Anyone else struggling to sleep? Waking up so early at mo, feeling really hot and nauseous, although thankfully so far it doesnt last long since get up so far.

MJM1608 · 13/09/2020 07:47

@Jemstar1820 sorry I missed your message! The days are SOOOO slow!!! Obviously going to be more careful going out with COVID snow but god I’m so bored and it’s been one sober weekend!! 😂 i should be 6 weeks this week but depends if the apps are accurate! You?

@DMBX ah amazing you’ve told family! That’s the bit I’m most excited about!! Just saved some nursery ideas but don’t want to get too ahead! Yes let me know how it goes 😊

@leftitlate37 1st night after I found out I woke up at 4am, the last few have been 6am so not so bad.. just my brain going at 100mph and really counting down the days to the first scan! It’s rubbish eh! Only 8 more months to go 😂🤞🏼 What’s been waking you up? The heat?
We already had a private appointment booked (for a fertility check) then luckily managed to change it to a scan at 7 weeks, didn’t take too long for an appointment - few weeks wait I’d say. Let me know how you get on! xxx

DMBX · 13/09/2020 07:53

@leftitlate37 yeah we will definitely let you guys know how we get on 😊 also we just booked somewhere local online there was loads of time slots available so wasn't a struggle.

sal1987 · 13/09/2020 07:56

Hi everyone I got my BFP last weekend and am 6 weeks today. It's taking a long time to sink in.
It took us 18 months to conceive my first LO who is now 10 months but this came as an absolute shock, we had no plans to start trying for a few months but a quickie during nap time has resulted in a positive test. I feel so guilty for not being excited about it as I know how it feels month after month to get a negative test. Plus I've just gone back to work (after working from home since June) and I just feel bad on my LB that he will struggle.
Plus this weekend I have felt really sick so the symptoms are starting already Confused

DMBX · 13/09/2020 08:02

@MJM1608 yeah it was amazing first time I've had a cuddle off my mum and dad in a while (coronavirus Sad) there was some tears so everyone is happy for us! Yeah we've choose our nursery furniture we want already, theres so much stuff we need and as this is our first we don't have much of a clue haha

SH2021 · 13/09/2020 08:07

Hi all, so nice to have people to talk to when you’re trying to keep a secret. I’m Coming up to 7 weeks in so die early May. Having a lot of digestion problems and stomach cramps. Also been getting quite strong headaches and sore boobs. Has anyone else had this? It’s my first time!! Smile

sal1987 · 13/09/2020 08:11

@SH2021 yes I got these during my first pregnancy especially the headaches. Just try to keep drinking as much water (or something you can keep down) as possible. You can take paracetamol too.

SH2021 · 13/09/2020 08:16

Aww thanks. I was worried about the cramping in particular as most people don’t seem to mention much of it and I get it most days. The headaches are the worst though. Never had any like it. Hopefully all this misery is positive though and means my baby is growing Smile

MrsWeasely · 13/09/2020 10:26

Tentatively joining. I'm around 4+3 today, EDD 20th May. Symptoms wise I'm really tired and have had very sore boobs from 6DPO onwards and started getting mild cramps as soon as I hit 4 weeks, hoping it's just everything stretching and doing what it needs to do. It's my first pregnancy so I'm finding myself wondering what's normal every five seconds!

MJM1608 · 13/09/2020 12:58

@DMBX @leftitlate37 I’ve come home from shopping today to find blood (more than spotting), obviously my head has gone to the most extreme outcome. Praying all is OK but not getting my hopes up too. Will let you know how I get on xx

HollyWell · 13/09/2020 13:13

Hello, could I join please? I got my BFP last weekend so EDD 14th May. I was hoping there was going to be a thread like this as I have only told my mum so far so it’s nice to read everyone else’s experiences!
