Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@mrsbmaybebaby my work don't know yet, I'm 6weeks 5 days, but I'm the same as you, quite a stressful full on job with a mix of being in and out of the office. I'm managing the nausea at the moment through regular snacks and drinks, but the tiredness is difficult!! Want to hold on a bit longer before I tell them though

grandmasterstitch · 08/09/2020 14:54

There is a Facebook group, you'll need to PM @PopcornForDinner Smile

abitfunny · 08/09/2020 14:55

Hi @MrsBmaybebaby - I'm six weeks today and am only really starting to experience symptoms now. Feel v tired by 2pm and pass out in the evening by 9. Haven't been sick but having waves of nausea, this morning I really struggled to make a chicken sandwich for example...

The main issue for me has been the hormones/mood swings. I go between feeling positive and excited, to scared and anxious. Last night was a real low I was in tears to my husband by the time he got home from work!

Also haven't told my boss. I work with four other ladies in a secretaries office at the local hospital so it's quite hard to keep it to myself. It's not the type of environment where I could hide feeling sick or tired so I'm going to tell them when I hit eight weeks.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok?

UnicornAndSparkles · 08/09/2020 15:26

I haven't told work; I'm part time and WFH atm and will be for the forseeable so no need to yet. I'm 7+2. Plus I'm on a fixed term contract that expires before baby is born, so unless they want to give me a permanent position (please) I don't feel an obligation to tell them for a while. Last time I told them at 12 weeks, after the scan.

PopcornForDinner · 08/09/2020 15:38

@MrsBmaybebaby Yes, there is a Facebook group. If you PM
me your email address, I'll add you to the group ☺️

Please could you PM me? Not sure how to do it on here!!

Trousersareoverrated · 08/09/2020 18:57

I’m going to hold off on telling work til the 12 week scan if I possibly can. Last time I wasn’t extra tired or nauseous in the first trimester so if it’s the same I will be able to hide it well.

icouldwriteabook · 08/09/2020 19:59

@Tinks123 I think mine was around week 6/7 and I’m on week 5 now, I’m absolutely dreading it! I wasn’t actually sick but had extreme nausea all day and it was awful. Hoping it’s different this time around Grin

icouldwriteabook · 08/09/2020 19:59

@PopcornForDinner I can’t remember my email address but I have sent you a PM to see if you can add me on FB to then add me to the group Smile xx

recreationalcalpol · 09/09/2020 20:36

Can I join please? EDD 19/5/21 but I’m very nervous as I miscarried in July. Booked in to see my consultant at 6 + 1, so fingers crossed for seeing a heartbeat then. I REALLY have to stop testing Grin

Due date May 2021!
Beepbeep42 · 10/09/2020 07:04

I'm also going to hold off telling work until after the 12 week scan. At least being in an office I'm sat down! And there's still barely a soul in. Counting down weeks until I finally get my sodding works laptop to WFH part of the week (it's only been 5 months but hey..)

I can't remember when I was nauseous last pregnancy... probably after week 6 sometime? And it was gone I think by 12 week scan? By the time you can tell people you feel better Grin

Welcome new people Smile imma wait until after the scan before joining the FB group too I think.

bez91 · 10/09/2020 07:39

@Beepbeep42 me too re telling work. My job is half office/home based and half site visit based, usually care homes or hostels so a bit more risk but it's easy to get carried away but I'm only just over 4 weeks and it's still very early days. My first was straight forward but that counts for nothing.

Think your right about the nausea, mine was from about 6 weeks. Not looking forward to it!

Wishing everyone a healthy pregnancy!

Pinkiii · 10/09/2020 08:45

I’m 6 weeks today and the tiredness has hit me like a ton of bricks since yesterday, very hard to function with a toddler too Sad have mild nausea but not too bad atm

Hope everyone else is doing well!

ScottishStardust · 10/09/2020 18:40

Hi @Pinkiii , I'm 6 weeks today and I'm the exact same! Could have fallen asleep at work the other day! And when I go to bed, I'm straight to sleep - usually takes me a while and a bit of reading.

We are just back from our early scan (private and arranged due to previous ectopic!) - Baby is in the right place and even got to see the heartbeat which I wasn't expecting! Feels a bit more real now Smile

Pinkiii · 10/09/2020 18:48

@ScottishStardust ah that’s amazing about the Scan! always lovely to hear a heartbeat.

I’m the same with falling asleep. Had a long nap when my DD napped today, think it will be my new routine lol

Happysunshine1 · 10/09/2020 19:11

Hi!
@scottishstardust that's great news! I'm so pleased your scan went well, it must have been special!

Question about nausea... I'm nearly 7 weeks and havent had sickness yet. In terms of nausea, so far all I've had is the odd bout of nausea if I smell something and am sensitive to it. Otherwise I have more of a feeling that my actual stomach is sore and achy, and if I prod it I feel nauseous.

I guess I keep worrying that I'm not actually going to be sick as such, and it's not there all day.

Any one else? X

Welliedays · 10/09/2020 21:27

@happysunshine1 why are you worried you're not going to be sick? Not everyone gets nausea or sickness, so if I was you I'd be thankful!

Happysunshine1 · 10/09/2020 21:32

Hey @welliedays! I guess just as it would be a reassuring sign! If all is okay and no sickness, then of course that would be fab! :)

grandmasterstitch · 10/09/2020 22:12

@Happysunshine1 I had no sickness at all in my last pregnancy and I'm very much hoping this one will be the same! Lots of other symptoms to stop me going too mad though

PlanBea · 10/09/2020 22:20

I'm at 5+4 and the last few days have been bad for nausea, no actual sickness yet but pretty much all food is turning my stomach. I'd imagined I'd be one of those people who got weird food cravings but nope 😂

@ScottishStardust good news from your scan! I bet it was a lovely experience! I'm considering getting a scan at 7 or 8 weeks for some reasurance. We were TTC for nearly 2 years and had gone though all the fertility testing, so I'm so nervous this is going to be taken away from us.

I'm also going to try avoid telling work until 12 weeks, I'm technically on probation until the end of the month as I only started the job in March. I'm WFH and work flexibly so able to adjust my days around any symptoms coming my way hopefully!

Gingergeek89 · 10/09/2020 22:45

For anyone else struggling with boob pain I’ve tried quite a few options now and these have been by far the best. Thought I would post the link just incase anyone else was also going through boob hell still

henni85 · 11/09/2020 05:40

Hi all, been lurking but guess I better join after a very strong bfp this morning. I’ve had several over the last week, but really believe it now! By last period I will be due 14th May, so 5 weeks today. My boys are 16 and 13, so this is very unexpected but very welcome.

My weirdest symptom is body piercings rejecting. My piercer friend actually asked last week if I could be pregnant due to this.

Cleozeta · 11/09/2020 07:49

Hi, can I tentatively join please? Around 5w 4d currently, but anxious as have has 2mc and a stillbirth recently. So far have mild nausea during the day, and tiredness but boobs not really sore, but I guess every pregnancy is different.
Hope everyone is doing well

Newbie1987 · 11/09/2020 09:58

Hi and congratulations! Ive just found out im pregnant with my first at 33 years old and due 11th May. My partner and I weren't trying for a baby so its a total surprise, but i suspected i was pregnant around a week ago when my boobs were in agony and my period didnt arrive. Looking forwards to sharing my journey with you all. Xx

StrawberriCream · 11/09/2020 10:11

Very tentively joining this as today I'm 6 weeks, we found out I'd had mmc at 12 week scan earlier in the year so feeling very nervous / unsure, add to that we are in the process of selling and buying a house.... .
