Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

I’d like to join please. BFP a week ago. Now 5,1 but have 0 symptoms, is that weird?

grandmasterstitch · 03/09/2020 07:30

@kblue1 it's pretty normal. Lots of symptoms don't tend to kick in until around 6 weeks

Whilstwewait · 03/09/2020 07:45

@kblue1 I'm the same no symptoms apart from a dry mouth. I'm only 4w3 but as previous poster said normally 6 weeks x

Gingergeek89 · 03/09/2020 08:27

Has anyone had experience with shingles during pregnancy? I’ve just been diagnosed and had chicken pox as a child so no danger to embryo but my energy levels are on the floor. Antivirals have been prescribed and will be ready later today so hoping they may help, but any knowledge would be great to appreciated

ShalomToYouJackie · 03/09/2020 09:35

@ScottishStardust I also have a scan at exactly 6 weeks, last year I had a blighted ovum so I'm hoping this time I will see something in the sac to give me peace of mind

Shinea · 03/09/2020 12:57

Hello everyone,
How's everyone doing?
Anyone started getting any symptoms? I know it's pretty early but I m having bitter taste in my mouth and bit of nausea 😒😑 I really wish nausea stays away 🤞🤞

Pinkiii · 03/09/2020 13:02

I had some Cramps yesterday but other than that no symptoms, no tiredness either yet.

BessieBye · 03/09/2020 13:32

Hi everyone, got my BFP yesterday! Looks like I’ll be due around 16th May 😁

Due date May 2021!
BessieBye · 03/09/2020 13:32

@Shinea my nipples are the most sensitive I’ve ever felt them.

This will be my first pregnancy so everything’s totally weird but exciting!!!

Busybee143 · 03/09/2020 13:38

No mega symptoms yet at 6 weeks, a bit of nausea, tenderish boobs and stomach ache

Truffle123 · 03/09/2020 15:01

Hi everyone- can I join please?

Congratulations ladies! I’m 4 weeks today and due 14 May if all goes well. It’s our first baby. I’ve had quite a bit of cramping, a slight metallic taste and feeling very tired in the afternoons. No nausea yet! My mother in law is coming to visit in 2 weeks and I really hope the nausea won’t have kicked in then...

Pinkiii · 03/09/2020 15:11

Congratulations to the new ladies joining! hope all goes well with the pregnancies.

TJM123 · 03/09/2020 22:25

Hey all, I got my BFP last week and looks like I will be due 1 May 2021! I was scared to take the test as had a chemical in June, but the symptoms are a lot stronger this time. Fingers crossed for everyone!

TJM123 · 03/09/2020 22:27

@shinea I’m having really bad heartburn at 5 weeks + 5, no sickness yet and hope that stays! With my 3yo I had really bad morning sickness..

Loey1990 · 04/09/2020 01:20

Hey ladies Smile congratulations!

I got my BFP yesterday morning, and a second in the afternoon. EDD 7th May making me 5 wks exactly today. It’s my first, H2B has a DD aged 2. I’m delighted and still in shock! I had the coil removed 20/05. I’m very, very overweight so really didn’t expect things to happen so quickly. Has also put wedding plans on hold! Called GP already, first midwife appointment Tuesday 8th. Still keep looking at pics of tests to make sure not imagining! And contemplating another in the morning Grin

I was 6 days late, have been in a 28 day cycle since having the coil removed but used to be a bit irregular prior to that. With the wedding venue viewings and stresses I put it down to that. I did do a cheap strip test last Saturday which was negative. Boobs been hurting like crazy, became very adverse to smoking (thank God, know I should have given up whilst TTC but with wedding planning and H2B a heavy smoker it was quite hard!), nauseous and Wednesday night was sick. Took plunge yesterday morning with a pee stick I had in the drawer and BFP. Clear Blue triple check kit came yesterday afternoon and did one; also BFP.

Anyone else petrified every time they go to the loo? I’ve got a little light cramping and convinced going to see AF when I wipe.

eternalflame2020 · 04/09/2020 07:23

Morning and congratulations to new bfps!

So for the last week I am having recurring dreams of taking a pregnancy test and waiting for the results. They are always positive but I have no idea of the subconscious meaning!

I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and to be honest I thought I'd feel so much more excited but I'm just terrified.

Shinea · 04/09/2020 07:39

Hello everyone,
Even I am feeling strange here. 5+3 today but I am more terrified about each passing day. Maybe I will not be alright until I see baby's heartbeat and I doubt even after that :(
I did bit of exercises today and I m nervous now shouldnt i have done it!!

Happysunshine1 · 04/09/2020 07:43

Hey!
To the last two posts, I'm feeling the same, and i think it's normal to. Everyone seems to say the same that the first 12 weeks are full of anxiety in lots of ways, albeit around excitement too! I feel like time is passing crazily slowly!

@eternalflame2020 you're the same due date as me I think! Also 6w tomorrow. Have you booked an early scan at all? X

Ps welcome to anyone new!

Natty47 · 04/09/2020 07:46

Hi @Shinea and @eternalflame2020 - congrats on your bfps :) I’m exactly the same . Ever since my bfp I’ve been waking up super early, and often using the time to look up miscarriage statistics, convince myself it’s ectopic etc... Argh! I’m hoping I may feel better once I’ve had a scan. Have booked a private one for a couple of weeks when I’ll be 8-9 weeks. Still feels a v long time to wait!

Fingers crossed all round for healthy pregnancies and less anxiety along the way!

kblue1 · 04/09/2020 07:50

@grandmasterstitch & @MummyFD
Thanks for the response

I’ll update with anything I feel could be a symptom when I get one. Without that bfp line and no af there is no way I would know I was pregnant lol

UnicornAndSparkles · 04/09/2020 07:55

Try not to worry ladies, I was exactly the same with my first; constantly knicker checking and googling the stats daily. Now she's 3! I think its normal to worry but honestly nothing* you can do will prevent a miscarriage, and even though they are common its still far more likely that you'll end up with a baby than not; the stats are on your side!

My friend had a missed miscarriage and didn't find out until a few weeks later. Awful. Made me realise that no matter what I do there may be some situations in which I wouldn't know if I was miscarrying, and so its better not to stress and google everything.

*obviously don't go drinking ten pints of vodka or anything stupid like that!

k4rlyb · 04/09/2020 08:07

Morning all

Can I join? Congratulations everyone. I got my BFP this morning, 4 weeks EDD 9th May, I have a DD who’s 2 x

Andsoitbegins88 · 04/09/2020 08:54

Morning everyone!

Congrats to all the new BFPs, welcome!

And I’m feeling exactly the same in terms of being very anxious. Time has apparently stood still since I got my BFP 😂 I’ve got an early private scan booked in 3 weeks, when I’ll be 8 weeks so it’s just keeping fingers crossed until then really.

Thanks @UnicornAndSparkles, it’s nice to hear it from your perspective.

I’m away for 4 days from tomorrow which I’m slightly anxious about - being away from home and staying in a hotel doesn’t feel ideal but needs must. Anyone got any nice weekend plans?

AislingIrish · 04/09/2020 09:13

Hi ladies

Can I join in? Smile EDD 5th May I think. This will be baby number 2. My DS is 17months. Can't quite believe we are pregnant again despite having tried for a good few months. Feeling quite nauseous thinking about having a new born and a toddler but really excited. Early days yet but fingers crossed all goes well.

So far I have already been experiencing insomnia-the exact same as my first pregnancy (fun) and ever so slightly nauseous. Hope everyone is doing well!

eternalflame2020 · 04/09/2020 09:19

Hi @shinea congrats on bfp! From everything I've read exercising is fine. Just don't push it too hard! I am trying to walk for 30 minutes a day as have heard it's recommended for pregnant ladies 🚶‍♀️🕺

Oh yay @happysunshine1 to having same due date. I have a private scan booked for 2 weeks tomorrow at 8 weeks. It feels like it's coming round so slow but I'm back to work Monday so fingers crossed time will start to move again!

To everyone else with the anxieties, we will get through this. I'm going for distraction tactics from now on!

On a random note I bought the marks and Spencer no alcohol sparkling wine (£3.40) and it goes into the glass looking exactly like prosecco. The bottle also looks like a prosecco bottle! It tastes like fizzy grape juice, which is exactly what it is 😂
