Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

Hi @Happysunshine1, I'm going to be 9 weeks as the midwife is on holiday when I hit 8 weeks! Known my luck I'll be after 12 weeks before I get my scan! Haha!

grandmasterstitch · 30/08/2020 11:19

I think I'll book mine for 8/9 weeks. Last time I got my scan at 14 weeks, hoping it won't be as late this time!

RMack22 · 30/08/2020 11:27

Hi all

Hoping you don’t mind if I join!
Congrats to everyone else for your bfp fingers crossed for lots of sticky beans.

Got a faint bfp yesterday at 12dpo.
DD brought a cold home from nursery 3weeks ago which she passed on, so I’ve been struggling with fatigue, snotty nose and loss of appetite over the past few weeks but wondering whether this might actually be some early signs.
Haven’t told DH yet as he wanted to be ‘surprised’ so planned to take another test next week and get DD to do him a little card or something... anyone got any other suggestions!?! X

Welliedays · 30/08/2020 13:53

I'll be 8 weeks 5 days when I have mine @happysunshine1

Happysunshine1 · 30/08/2020 13:59

Sounds like about 8 weeks is the same for a few of us! I'm sure time is now standing still! :) x

MagOby · 30/08/2020 14:39

I’ll be 6 weeks at mine. I’m now wondering why mine is so early. Do you think it was an error?

eternalflame2020 · 30/08/2020 14:45

I rang my gp surgery to ask to register with the midwife and the receptionist seemed really annoyed I'd rung at 4-5 weeks and said ring back nearer to 8 weeks to get an appointment. Does that seem right?

ShalomToYouJackie · 30/08/2020 14:56

@Magoby I don't see why it would matter when they do the booking appointment as its only asking some questions about your health etc. Maybe there's more chance of things going wrong earlier on so that's why they wait?

During my last pregnancy when I had a MC, my booking appointment was at 5 weeks and now I'm in a new area and they don't do them until 8 weeks here

Knope24 · 30/08/2020 15:33

Good luck to all you ladies, AF arrived four days late after three positive tests so sadly this one didn't stick. Fingers crossed for next time. Hope all goes OK well for you!

grandmasterstitch · 30/08/2020 15:35

@eternalflame2020 I think it depends where you live. Round here I'm confident that I could ring 2 days before the midwife clinic and get an appointment but if you live in a more populated area you might need to book more in advance

I'm sure they test for something at the appointment so you should go before 10 weeks but perhaps if you go too soon they can't test? I'm not sure, I've not tried ringing yet

Pinkiii · 30/08/2020 16:04

@Knope24 sorry to hear that. Hope you’re ok. Look after yoursel

PopcornForDinner · 30/08/2020 16:34

So sorry @Knope24 😢Thanks

ShalomToYouJackie · 30/08/2020 16:35

@Knope24 so sorry, thinking of you xx

ScottishStardust · 30/08/2020 16:46

Sorry to hear that @Knope24 - take care of yourself! Daffodil

Welliedays · 30/08/2020 17:06

Sorry to hear that @knope24, it won't be any consolation, but I was in the exact same position as you at the end of July and I'm now 5 weeks pregnant after managing to get a hopefully sticky one the very next cycle

Knope24 · 30/08/2020 17:10

Thank you guys, you're all lovely. I think I was half expecting it as my lines weren't getting much darker and I thought it was too good to be true on the 2nd try! At least I know its possible for me to get a positive. @Welliedays that's reassuring thank you.

grandmasterstitch · 30/08/2020 17:13

So sorry to hear that @Knope24 take very good care of yourself Thanks

Clueless8521 · 30/08/2020 20:53

Hello!

Hope this is ok to post, first time pregnant here so very clueless and still trying to get to grips with all the abbreviations!

I tested positive 2 days ago, apps put me at around 4 weeks but today I’ve had cramping and bleeding. I’ve had a google and it seems that some bleeding and cramping is normal but I am freaking out!

How much bleeding is normal? The cramps are like period cramps but a little less sore and the bleeding is very light but has been continuous for the past 4 or 5 hours. Should I be worried? (worried anyway lol) I was planning on calling my GP surgery in the morning as I wasn’t sure what my next step should be anyway so I’ll mention it then.

I’m so worried and anxious Confused

grandmasterstitch · 31/08/2020 08:00

Hi @Clueless8521 congrats on your BFP!

I would say cramping is normal but bleeding is harder to say. Some women have bleeding and it's completely normal and other women have no bleeding at all so I would like to say one way or the other

You can call your GP but I'm not sure they'll do anything, I think at this point it's just a waiting game unfortunately. I really hope it sticks for you

Whilstwewait · 31/08/2020 09:57

Morning everyone. Have always wanted to join one of these and now I finally can Grin. Got my positive today at 11DPO cycle 14. So excited. I don't feel any different yet. EDD 13th May

Congratulations everyone

@Clueless8521 congrats. How is your bleeding now? I know so many people who have bled in early pregnancy and been absolutely fine. I understand it would be really worrying for you though. Hope you're ok? X

Blughbablugh · 31/08/2020 10:26

Morning all. I started spotting last night. I'm 5 weeks today and whilst its brown and seems to have stopped a bit now I'm worried this is the start of a miscarriage! I didn't have any spotting or bleeding of any kind in my last pregnancy. I've also been having some mild cramps in the night and my tiredness has seemed to stop. After having a week of strong symptoms to now this I'm just worried. The GP surgery is closed today as it's a bank holiday and so will have to wait until tomorrow and will give them a call. Such a worrying time! Sad

Blughbablugh · 31/08/2020 10:27

My emoji's are all over the place. The star is supposed to be sad face!

Natty47 · 31/08/2020 11:36

@Blughbablugh Sorry to hear about the bleeding and the stress. I don’t have any helpful firsthand experience to share as this is my first pregnancy but really hope it works out for you. From the millions (feels like!) posts I’ve read in the past, many people seem to have those symptoms and still go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Getting checked out by the GP sounds like a very good idea. Good luck!

@Clueless8521 congrats! I’m also a first timer! If it’s any help, I’m 5+3 but at 4 weeks I also had a lot of cramping and some bleeding (mainly spotting), but it stopped after two or three days and my bfps have got stronger since and a digital test showed weeks progression (so as far as I can tell it’s going ok!) Good luck and hope the bleeding disappears soon.

Clueless8521 · 31/08/2020 12:06

Thanks everyone, Bleeding has stopped but been advised to go to A&E and urine has tested negative for Pregnancy. Waiting on blood results but not looking good x

grandmasterstitch · 31/08/2020 13:38

Glad to hear your GP did something @Clueless8521, mine were rubbish last time. I hope you get some answers at the hospital
