Hey all! So I officially got my BFP last night, which puts me at 3weeks 3 days (I have another app telling me I'm at 4weeks 4 days) and I am due between 2nd and 8th May ❤️ I already feel super nauseous, and this will be baby number 3 (our last for sure). I was just wondering if anyone on here wanted to share this journey together - husband is brilliant but doesn't believe you can get nausea this quickly and I'm not close enough to my family to tell them just yet ☹️ so it might be a lonely journey for a little while x

@Piggers946 I'm so sorry, take care of yourself xx

Natty47 · 28/08/2020 21:21

So sorry to hear this @Piggers946 - hope your h2b comes home ahead of schedule and huge good luck for your next round of TTC - you deserve it Xx

Knope24 · 28/08/2020 23:04

@Piggers946 I'm so sorry to hear that, hope you're doing OK. Such a roller-coaster of emotions. Fingers crossed for you when you're able to try again.

Dolly031 · 29/08/2020 06:01

Ladies anyone else struggling with their emotions? I have never experienced anything like it...I'm going from pure rage to bursting into tears at the drop of a hat. You can imagine how I reacted when my other half said "your just going to have to try to be more patient" 😤
I have a very emotionally challenging job in paediatrics and had a big melt down on one of my colleagues on Thursday too. I can't see me hiding this pregnancy for long at this rate.

And ear aches?! Why didn't I know some women suffer from recurrent ear problems in pregnancy! I'm on my second already.

How is everyone else feeling? Xx

Hannah13385 · 29/08/2020 06:57

Hi all,

BFP this month too. Very anxious it won’t pan out too. I think that’s normal. Had a few symptoms (waves of nausea and twinges) leading up to BFP but all gone now. Very tired and bloated. I have a 10 month old and it would be a dream come true to have such a small gap. Calculator puts me as due May 6th.

abitfunny · 29/08/2020 07:04

Yes that’s me @Dolly031 I’m literally a bag of nerves & so so emotional. I was really chilled during my first pregnancy but wow this one is different already. I don’t know if it’s because I know more? But yeah just to say it’s not just you! Be kind to yourself. I’ve been going to bed really early x

JanQi · 29/08/2020 07:23

@Dolly031 yep! The past couple of days I've definitely been much more emotional. I'm lucky my job isn't too stressful and I can work from home, I can't imagine how difficult it must be when you've got an intense job like yours. Hope you're taking care of yourself ❤️

Has anyone else felt a bit flu-y? Yesterday I had those whole body aches you get when you're coming down with flu and I suddenly felt absolutely exhausted last night. I usually wake up in the night too but I was flat out.

Dolly031 · 29/08/2020 07:45

@JanQi yep I'm like that this morning. Thanks ladies it's good to know it's not just me. It's like I'm a different person in those moments.

Congrats to everyone for their BFPs. I hope your all looking after yourselves.

grandmasterstitch · 29/08/2020 07:53

I'm definitely less patient at the moment and yesterday my 2 year old was incredibly trying. As awful as it makes me feel I'm looking forward to him being at preschool a couple of mornings so I can rest! Plus DH ate my M&S white chocolate chip cookie so he's firmly in the bad books 😂

Congratulations to all the new people!

ScottishStardust · 29/08/2020 08:10

Congratulations on the new BFP's. @Hannah13385 - same EDD as us! Smile

Symptoms wise in very bloated, which comes with (tmi) the side affect of gas with me - much to my Husbands delight! Always feeling full (which is not me!) so it's a push to eat but I'm forcing myself too. And very bizarre dreams! Luckily not feeling too emotional or sick yet!

Fun and games.. this is only the beginning too!

cryptonaut · 29/08/2020 09:12

We told PIL last night. I know it's early days but I was desperate to say something to MIL all day after I took DS over for his weekly grandparents day. I know FIL would have been very upset if he didn't find out at the same time as MIL so after DH finished work we decided to say something. We've asked them not to say anything to anyone else yet, I just needed to tell someone close.

My minds going a million miles a minute now of what we need to do. Back in March I had a blood test due to fatigue and they found my iron and folic acid levels were low, I had a 3 month course of prescription level supplements but haven't had a chance to get tested again due to COVID, I guess that needs to be high on the priority list. And what about scans? I've been following locally and there's no partners allowed in to scans and appointments, should I get a private scan so DH can be there? ... it's all so different this time around!

grandmasterstitch · 29/08/2020 09:26

@cryptonaut have you checked recently? Our trust is saying from 20th July partners are allowed at scans again but all other appointments must be unaccompanied

I think we're going to tell PIL and my parents this weekend

MummyFD · 29/08/2020 09:30

@Dolly031 yes the emotions can be a pain. I'm very irritable (especially as DH is a noisy eater) and sudden waves of real sadness and anger. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you in your paediatrics role - can you confide in a colleague so they can keep an eye out for you?

Busybee143 · 29/08/2020 10:06

@JanQi @Dolly031 I am feeling flu like too. Some mornings I wake up with a snotty nose some with a swollen tonsil or a sore throat but it comes and goes. I'm dreading going back to work (school) as I feel like my immune system isn't great atm

grandmasterstitch · 29/08/2020 10:31

Just did another test because I'm feeling decidedly period like and some of my symptoms have gone. It's not FMU and the line is super strong so I'm feeling a bit better! I'm going to try not to test anymore and just wait for the scan. I swear time has flown the last few months and now it's dragging

Gingergeek89 · 29/08/2020 10:38

@Dolly031 can definitely associate with the emotional aspect. I burst into tears the other day because the husband put on chicken nuggets for me because he knew I was craving them (even though the idea of a real chicken breast makes me want to be sick) and I was so excited and grateful I was sobbing haha.

Also have a constantly blocked nose and ears, pretty sure it’s because all the membranes enlarge from the increasing blood flow?

Gingergeek89 · 29/08/2020 10:40

@grandmasterstitch yeah my symptoms are constantly changing too. Have still not retested as worry I would get addicted to constantly checking

grandmasterstitch · 29/08/2020 10:41

@Gingergeek89 I'm snotty too. In my last pregnancy I had loads of nose bleeds because everything enlarged. I've never had nose bleeds before or since but every Thursday morning between 6 and 7am I would get one bit was really weird 😂

Gingergeek89 · 29/08/2020 10:50

@grandmasterstitch well at least you knew it was coming I guess hahaha. This is my first and alongside all the symptoms my body just feels weird. Though will happIly take all the symptoms as I’m so excited to be pregnant, here is hoping that it all works out.

Dolly031 · 29/08/2020 11:19

All this just makes me realist how amazing the human body is? I can't get over the fact we are making little humans!

Gingergeek89 · 29/08/2020 11:40

@Dolly031 I know. Studied embryology as part of my degree years ago but it’s amazing when it’s actually happening to you

MummyFD · 29/08/2020 12:15

@grandmasterstitch I keep doing the same - this morning the line was so dark there was barely a control line which was reassuring as other than backache I don't feel pregnant?

Flying out on holiday today, fingers crossed nausea stays away for the flight and that this is a sticky baby!

@BabyE8 no Facebook group as far as I know! I know what you mean about feeling like you got your period, I'm hoping I'll shift the feeling soon

@Piggers946 I’m so sorry to hear your sad news :(

No partners are allowed in scans in our area either, I’m hoping it will have changed by a 20w scan but it might be what helps me justify an early private one. I just can’t believe that they’re not allowed yet, despite all the other changes to the rules etc.

I’m feeling a lot more relaxed this time, I was an anxious mess my entire first trimester with my daughter. But it could be that I don’t have as much time to worry now!

ScottishStardust · 29/08/2020 12:55

Partners are allowed in our area, which I'm so thankful for! I would speak to the authorities about it - odd how different areas have different rules.
