@Sausage1990 hey lovely- I’m really pleased for you- will that help to ease your worry a little have you got to go back for another ?

Will keep you posted

Sausage1990 · 19/08/2020 11:36

@Mustbemad82 it has made me feel much better givne I was worried that it was ectopic and its not. They did offer another scan in a few weeks but Im happy for now to let things be. I've got an early scan booked at 7+6 weeks so I'm happy to wait until then as it's only a few weeks away and DH can come with me.

She said if I have any more symptoms then I can call them and they'll arrange another check up. She was happy and as she sees alot of pregancies I trust her judgement call at this stage. Xx

Mococo1 · 19/08/2020 11:38

@Sausage1990 yay so happy for you 😃 xx

MrsEmilyB · 19/08/2020 12:49

@Sausage1990 that's fab news!! 🎉🎉

Ladies I'm feeling super anxious today. Any calming tips?

LittleRa · 19/08/2020 16:24

Just saying hello as the thread had dropped off my “I’m on”! Hope everyone is doing well x

blodyn91 · 19/08/2020 16:46

@samilicious I work with animals- this morning I was milking, then in sheds/fields with 600kg animals and Im not planning on telling work till I've had my scan. Health & Safety can do one, can't live life constantly worrying about things that are very unlikely to happen (getting kicked by cow will only bruise me 😂) Im never alone mind.
@mrsemilyb my book that was recommended by the lovely ladies on here arrived today. Hoping that will prevent my panics 🙈 its called 'the happy birth book'

@Sausage1990 glad it all went well, now relaxxxxxx

zippityzip · 19/08/2020 16:54

Hey @LittleRa !!!! How are you? X

zippityzip · 19/08/2020 16:56

@Sausage1990 So glad it all went well!!

How are you doing @Mustbemad82 ??

@MrsEmilyB Best advice I was ever given was - "Don't panic over what you can't control, as you'll only put yourself through it twice".

Big deep breath, cuddle from DH, some yummy treats and self care.

I took the kids out to a farm today and it pissed down all day - but we had a great time. We splashed in puddles and got muddy, wet, sandy. It was great. We all jumped in the shower when we got in and now snuggled up waiting for DH and Chinese. Fuck the housework - this is my self care!!!

Mococo1 · 19/08/2020 16:58

Ooh might invest @blodyn91@samilicious sounds like a good read

@Mustbemad82 thinking of you, hope everything goes okay at the scan today xxx

@LittleRa hey stranger!how are you xx

LittleRa · 19/08/2020 17:01

Hi @zippityzip @Mococo1 I’m good thanks! Not much really going on pregnancy wise, 12 week scan on 1st Sept so just working towards that really! Feeling fine, apart from huge and bloated ha. I think I’m 9+5 but midwife’s average 28 day would put me at 10+4, so we’ll see at the scan. Been busy with DD and seeing family. I need to phone my Head Teacher about my scan on first day back of school 😬

LittleRa · 19/08/2020 17:03

Has anyone else not had an early scan and just waiting for the 12 week? I’m loving seeing pics and hearing experiences of people’s early scans on here but I’m not having one and as the 12 week one approaches I’m getting more nervous that there’ll be bad news, since I haven’t had any earlier reassurances

mrsmummy1111 · 19/08/2020 17:36

It's totally personal preference @LittleRa some people choose not to have them. Personally I had one with DS and again this time around just to make sure the pregnancy was viable, in the right place etc and so if anything was wrong I'd know and be able to deal with it and start trying again. I have friends that chose not to have them as they said they'd rather just wait. Personally, I don't think I could ever wait 12 weeks! I had one at 7w and even that seemed forever to wait....

Mococo1 · 19/08/2020 17:49

@LittleRa don't worry too much- most of us get it due to anxiety/bad experiences otherwise we probs wouldn't. I think with mums net we are all too well aware of what could happen so we're probably in the likely to get an early scan crew! Also with the COVID situation I'm sure some of us are just getting earlier scans just so OH/DH can come with.

Honestly don't let it scare you!! Otherwise I really do think 99% of people just wait until 12weeks! We are more the minority here chit chatting about our scans as we can't tell the world yet 🤣

excited for you to have your scan though! Either date would be fine for all the checks so good luck! Xx

LittleRa · 19/08/2020 17:58

Thanks @mrsmummy1111 @Mococo1 I did sort of fancy one, well at first when I thought DP couldn’t come to NHS one I thought I’d definitely do a private one for him to come, but now I know partners can come in our trust, I wrestled back and forth and in the end I thought “£70 could buy a Moses basket”. However, in my own past I’ve had one pregnancy, which was my DD, whereas I know many others have very sadly had molar/chemical pregnancies, miscarriages and ectopics so can totally understand the wanting earlier reassurance. It’s only two more weeks to wait now, although I don’t want to wish it away as it’s the last two weeks of my summer holidays, I’m looking forward to it and hoping it all goes well and can then start planning how I’m going to tell my DD! (Have ordered her an “I’m going to be a big sister” t-shirt from Etsy ☺️)

SmileyT · 19/08/2020 18:24

@Sausage1990 glad everything went well, boo to the internal being uncomfortable but I'm sure it'll be much better to see something at 8w together anyway ☺️

@Mococo1 I'm the same as you... I'm definitely spoilt my OH pays all the bills and all the stuff at home ☺️

@LittleRa not long until your 12week scan, you're the first of us I think and will be great to see your little one for the first time together. Hope you're enjoying last of your summer holidays? x

@samilicious yeah don't feel obliged to tell them before you are ready, 15 weeks is plenty of time for them to prepare. I swear most men tell work about paternity leave at the very last moment I'm not sure why we feel such an obligation, 4 months is a lot of time for a company to prepare 🤷🏾‍♀️

@MrsEmilyB feeling anxious about anything in particular? I personally found meditation good but haven't done it, in a while x

@zippityzip sounds like a fab day with the kids, I've just got in from work and can't wait to collapse 😴

samilicious · 19/08/2020 18:37

@MrsEmilyB I don't know if this helps but feeling nervous/anxious is also caused by hormones giving you that nervous belly feeling. So worrying is kind of a symptom. Having any symptoms, however small, is a sign that things are going in the right direction. Just knowing that helped calm me down. Although no symptoms can be fine too ofc 😊

@LittleRa good to have you back and know that everything is going well! Being busy sounds good - makes time go quicker until that 12 week scan

@Sausage1990 yay! So happy all was good 🥰

samilicious · 19/08/2020 18:38

Also thanks everyone for the advice on telling work and support on horrible HR lady ❤️

Ltay2 · 19/08/2020 18:44

In regards to early scans I am feeling so much more relaxed today, right now I'm thinking I'll just wait until the private 9 week one we are doing so we can tell OH parents a few weeks earlier. Like you say @LittleRa £70 can go a long way so it's helping me to see it that way too. Yesterday I think I was just generally stressed/anxious about everything. We had major plumbing work done at home today which involved all but one room of the house and so me, 2 cats and a huge fish tank were banished to one small room for 7 hours! Thankfully it is all done now and a lot easier than expected (they'd predicted 2 days work but done in less than one full day!) and they cleaned up really well after themselves so I had minimal wiping down to do afterwards. OH is staying at his parents tonight as we were expecting the water to be off and he has work tomorrow but now it's all done he doesn't want to cancel seeing them which is absolutely fine by me as I get a nice relaxing night to eat pizza and binge watch desperate housewives!

Mustbemad82 · 19/08/2020 18:56

Hey all
Not great

They couldn’t see a sac, diagnosed as pregnancy of unknown location
He did see some fluid which is in keeping with ectopic but he feels that due to location it is more likely to be a Corneual ectopic

He said as he’s not too worried about rupture due to location, he said they will scan in ten days

Got bloods tomorrow too

He wanted to see much much higher hcg rises. He said double as a minimum

I’m just feeling a bit blue- trying to get my head around it

He said prepare for the worst so that’s what we are doing

Off for a meal together tonight else all I do I mope around

LittleRa · 19/08/2020 19:06

Oh @Mustbemad82 I’m so sorry. Thinking of you 💕

MrsEmilyB · 19/08/2020 19:26

@blodyn91 @zippityzip @samilicious @SmileyT 💖💖 Thank you ladies 💕 I just feel so anxious at the unknown and want to cry! 😭😭 I'm just worried as I have zero control over the outcome and I'm such a control freak (those ladies on the May bus with me will know this well 😂). Can I ask about cramps and how often you have them? Mine are near constant but incredibly mild and don't feel like period pain. Is this normal? I get little periods where I don't have them. I also get a shooting pain in my fufu! It's not severe but like a pinch feeling. Shooting booby pain too today, as well as continuing nausea. Is this all normal? Dr Google is making me think the absolute worst 😭

@ltay2 so glad you're feeling less anxious today 💖 hooray for quick plumbers!

MrsEmilyB · 19/08/2020 19:27

@Mustbemad82 I am so sorry ❤️❤️❤️❤️ how many weeks are you? Giving a big virtual hug xxx

mrsmummy1111 · 19/08/2020 19:54

@Mustbemad82 I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you mind me asking how far along you think you are? As I know that often the sac isn't visible at 5 weeks or even 6 weeks, especially if you actually ovulated later than you think you did.
Have a nice dinner with OH tonight and wishing you all the best ❤️

SmileyT · 19/08/2020 20:21

@Ltay2 this sounds like a great attitude, glad you are feeling positive my lovely xx

@Mustbemad82 sorry it wasn't better news today, must be so frustrating to have to wait 10 days but hope you enjoy your dinner out and you get loads of love from OH x

@MrsEmilyB I'm no expert but the best advice I have is that our bodies go through so many changes as it is trying to grow a little human in there so most people get different twinges and cramps and however much we google everyone's experience will be slightly different and nothing is conclusively good or bad. I personally just had a heavy kinda feeling early on but have had different twinges/ cramps as I'm going through, I've just put it down to stretching ☺️ P.S I'm not calm at all but I keep reminding myself that stressing really isn't going to help me or bub and I want to enjoy this experience as much as my mind will let me x

@Mustbemad82 oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll keep everything crossed for you that it's too soon and in 10 days you'll be a little sac but I know you need to prepare for the worst. Sending so much love to you & your OH xxx 💕
