@Bl0ndi3 my nieces are 1& almost 3, sister has the out n about double buggy now. Easy when she walks the 3 year old to nursery and stuff. Also at 3 they are slow walkers and get distracted easy 🤣
Feeling better now, still not 100% currently out having coffee and cake with doggo

Cocoblue22 · 12/09/2020 16:05

Loving all the Pram chat ladies! Attached a pic of my Pram I love it ❤️

@Mococo1 360 car seats aren't compatible with prams they don't come off their I so fix base like other car seats do x

@Bl0ndi3 we looked at lie flat car seats before I had ds but they meant our front passenger seat would have to be right up to the dashboard so we decided on a maxi cosi pebble plus and if we went on longish journeys we just stopped at services every hour and got baby out. Now he's bigger we have the 360 spin and the new one is now suitable from birth and honestly it's so much easier getting a squirmy toddler in and out of the car! I do believe maxi cosi are releasing a lie flat that goes on the base sideways though but haven't seen it in person. Swivel seats don't fix onto prams though as their base is attached x

@Busybee143 I'll prob invest in a buggy board too for ds x

Been on a nice walk today but feel exhausted now! Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday x

Been looking at prams for the last hour after all this chat, love the Cosatto ones with the pretty designs!

Bl0ndi3 · 12/09/2020 16:35

@Cocoblue22 ooooh thank you as I didn't realise that about the 360 or the lie flat! It's obviously not something we need to buy just yet but I'm glad I've got so much time to research and choose.

I love the look of the mamas and papas prams annoyingly the mamas and papas shop nearest me has closed so I'll have to find somewhere else to go look 🥰 I could just buy the entire mamas and papas website to be fair love all their stuff!

Mustbemad82 · 12/09/2020 18:37

Hey all
What a day
Bleeding again today , dark brown mostly but fairly heavy
Managed to get scanned again and all ok and couldn’t find any reason for the bleeding
I’m going to be an actual wreck

Cocoblue22 · 12/09/2020 19:28

@Bl0ndi3 we got all our nursery furniture from mamas and papas I love their stuff too! It is a bit pricey but we knew we wanted to have a couple of kids so saw it as an investment and looked after it all so we can use it all again. Hopefully if it's still in good condition once we've finished having kids we could sell it on too x

@Mustbemad82 sorry to hear you've had a scare but glad all is okay with baby. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know) x

mrsmummy1111 · 12/09/2020 19:36

Love the pram chats I could talk about prams all day 🤣
For those of you who need to buy a pram, we got ours at the baby show in the excel centre in London (but they do them all around the country) and it was 20% off retail price of everything. We got our mamas and papas nursery furniture (cot, changing table, wardrobe), the snuzpod, sleepyhead, baby bjorn bouncer and buggy (we went for the Mima buggy I'll attach a pic) which if anyone was considering I would 100000% recommend. It's survived a bit of a battering, as all prams do, and it's still looking almost as good as new. The material is really resilient and it's wipe clean which is super useful. But if anyone needs a load of stuff I'd really look into the baby show as you get lots of money off for stuff you know you're going to use. We also got a free cybex car seat with the buggy!

While we are in the subject, Is anyone considering getting a double buggy? I think we are going to need one as DS will be 22 months when new baby is born and I think will still very much need a buggy. The only one I can find that looks remotely nice is the bugaboo donkey but does anyone else have any suggestions or double buggies?? Preferably not one that's one on top of the other - I'd like it side by side.

Bl0ndi3 · 12/09/2020 19:43

@Cocoblue22 that's really good! Proper forward thinking that! So do you have much to buy for this baby 👶🏼 🥰

mrsmummy1111 · 12/09/2020 19:43
@SmileyT could you let me know how the baby zen yo-yo is? That's one that I thought about as I saw a few people with it and thought ooh that looks good! Or I might do something that is compatible with a 360 car seat or whatever
We have a babyzen yoyo which we got for travelling as we go on quite a few holidays, and it's absolutely excellent but if you want it from birth you need to buy the newborn pack which is an extra £200(ish). It doesn't lie flat otherwise so not suitable for a baby but it is very good. DS didn't love being in it until he was a bit older as it's basically just like a stroller rather than a sturdy buggy, so wasn't great if we were going for walks in the park without a walkway. If you live in the city and only really walk on pavements or paved pathways then it's great, very easy to put up & down and small enough for even the tiniest car. Plus you don't need an extra travel buggy - win win!

Bl0ndi3 · 12/09/2020 19:45

@mrsmummy1111 oooh good tip! What cybex car seat do you have and what's it like? Been looking at those x

Bl0ndi3 · 12/09/2020 19:48

@mrsmummy1111 just looked and the Manchester baby show is early November and I won't be 12 weeks by then so will have to look and see if they do another early next year :)

Maybe333 · 12/09/2020 19:51

Hey girls, can I join? I was on the original bus threads but wanted to wait a few weeks to gain confidence in my pregnancy before I joined the graduates bus. Well I think I'm 7+2 and have an early scan booked for 8+1 for reassurance.... But for the last week I've been suffering quite badly with nausea.. Really badly in fact! Anyone else hit with awful sickness? barely able to eat much but worse when I don't so have to force myself. The worst bit of it all is I'm a teacher and having to put on a happy smiley face through all of this whilst wearing face masks and visors in work, all of which is making me feel further sick! Roll on a few weeks until I can tell work, perhaps things will subside by then 🤞

mrsmummy1111 · 12/09/2020 20:00
@mrsmummy1111 oooh good tip! What cybex car seat do you have and what's it like? Been looking at those x
We had the cybex cloud Z when DS was newborn which had adapters to fit onto the buggy. Genuinely, we used the carrycot portion of the pram less than 20 times in total. When DS was a baby, there was about a 99% chance that he would fall asleep either in the buggy or the car. If he fell asleep in the car, it's SO much easier to just lift the car seat out the car and attach it to the buggy so they can stay asleep, but I ended up just using it in place of the carrycot anyway in case he fell asleep whilst we were out and then I didn't have to wake him to transfer him into the car. So if possible, I'd really really recommend a car seat that transfers from car to buggy.

We got the cybex Sirona S when DS was 12m old which is attached to the isofix and therefore cant be taken in and out easily and doesn't attach to the buggy, but as they get older you don't need that. It spins 360 which very much helps when taking them in / out, and baby can't face forwards or backwards based on what you like (we keep DS facing backwards, purely as it's safer)

Good plan 😊😊 I think they're fairly regular but if there are pricy things you know you'd buy anyway, it's vvv.much worth it

Cocoblue22 · 12/09/2020 20:07

@mrsmummy1111 we have thought of maybe getting a cheaper double stroller type Pram possibly for holidays etc as ds will be almost 3 when baby is born but not sure how much he will be walking (he walks well but they still can't walk too far we are finding) but I don't know! I like the donkey one too a friend of mine has that and it can go into single mode and have one carry cot and one upright seat but might not be easy to get into doorways etc with being wider. Also thinking If we had dc #2 and then #3 fairly close together we would need one then anyway so might look into it but they are so expensive as a 'just in case' option! X

@Bl0ndi3 nope not got much to get I've bought a new steriliser as they were on offer so thought I'd buy while they were cheaper. Still need to get a milk prep and some clothes and maybe some new bottles. And I'd also like a carrier but still need to decided between baby Bjorne or ergo baby but that's pretty much it really. Going to get some new sheets etc too and need a new matress for snuzpod and Moses basket x

@Maybe333 I remember you! Welcome and congratulations on BFP 🎉 I felt sick a lot but wasn't actually sick x

FairyLights2 · 12/09/2020 20:20

Ladies, my ultrasound is coming up! Eeek I'm so nervous. I know I need to drink a litre an hour before my appointment but I'm worried I'll be bursting for the toilet (my bladder is weak!).

Any tips to drink enough and still be comfortable during the scan? Also does it matter what I wear? Are loose fitted trousers fine? I know other poster mentioned they were asked to take their trousers off. I'm hoping the experience will be pleasant.

mrsmummy1111 · 12/09/2020 20:33

Ahhh exciting @FairyLights2 - is this your 12w scan?
My advice is to just drink a pint of water no more than 30 mins before your scan time. That will ensure you're bladder is full but hopefully not uncomfortably so.
Top and trousers definitely preferable to a dress. I've never been asked to remove trousers entirely, just to pull trousers low - so loose trousers will be perfect as you can stretch them down while still retaining some modesty! Good luck, can't wait to see a pic!

mrsmummy1111 · 12/09/2020 20:33

*your bladder (bloody autocorrect!)

Mrsi2020 · 12/09/2020 21:26

@Mustbemad82 you ok hun? I have bled through all my pregs. With DD1 I had a few small bleeds and a huge gush of bright red blood a couple of times but once more severely , I thought all hope was lost, and she’s here full of attitude. I hope you’re ok my lovely. We’re here anytime. Xxx
Loving all the pram talk, I love a good pram. I had the icandy first then the oyster and I could feel the difference in price. Oyster looked the part but was rubbish . My sister bought a really nice Chicco in the asda baby event for £200 with car seat and base and all inc and she loved it, but she only used hers the first few months. Suppose it all depends on what you need, where you live, how practical it needs to be etc etc. I had 2.5 years between my daughters and didn’t use a double once! I’d recommend carrying baby and putting toddler in single pram if you can get away with it! Xx

Busybee143 · 12/09/2020 21:31

@mrsmummy1111 my little one will be 22 months too!!

Cocoblue22 · 12/09/2020 21:54

@FairyLights2 drink it half an hour before at the most because if they are running late you will be uncomfortable. Wear a top/dress with leggings underneath something you can pull up and roll down to expose your tummy easily without flashing underwear! X

Cocoblue22 · 12/09/2020 21:56

Have any mummies on here used a buggy board for a three year old? Are they worth the money? X

SmileyT · 12/09/2020 22:44

@Mococo1 I opted to nap instead as I was up at 3am for some unknown reason and just knew I wouldn't enjoy pram shopping tired and grumpy and had a dinner to go to tonight 🙈

@mrsmummy1111 glad you're another yes on the yoyo front, they have just released a new detachable bassinet so I'd be getting that aswell. All the items you listed i already have on my list ✅ and just looked at the baby show in London and it's 22/23rd October, my 20w scan is on the 26th, I'm actually tempted to move it so we can just go mad with any good discounts 😬

@Mrsi2020 haha I sound like your DH, I hate supermarkets so just go in and grab any garbage, I just leave shopping, cooking and cleaning to my DP 🙈

@Bl0ndi3 yeah the Cossatos are so funky and supposed to be stimulating for babies aswell x

@Busybee143 yeah maybe not ideal for long walks, toddlers love to dawdle/ get bored of the board if it's too long, they did have a double for holidays when you just wanted them both strapped in or if they were sleeping x

@Mustbemad82 was that at EPU? I'm glad they are looking after you and all was okay ❤️

Congrats @Maybe333 🥳

@FairyLights2 I found wearing a dress easiest actually just pulled it up to scan👌🏾 mine was first thing and I got told off for my completely empty bladder as baby was in the wrong position but a couple small glasses 30mins before worked for my other scans x

Thanks everyone
Good luck @FairyLights2 with the scan

@Mrsi2020 it’s still here but it’s dark brown d/c - not there when I wipe but inside me
My period would have been due , I don’t know whether that is relevant at all
I had a scan yesterday which we paid for privately even though we had not long had one
EPU are going to review again at end of week
I’m trying so hard not to freak out but it’s hear stopping
Sure @Sausage1990 had something similar xxx

blodyn91 · 13/09/2020 08:07
