@Bl0ndi3 congratulations!!

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 14:42

@Sophi123 eeek we will be due around same time I'm estimating 25th May will be my due date! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm only 10dpo so still cautious tho xx

blodyn91 · 11/09/2020 14:45

@Mococo1 Yes agree! I have no idea what I need! Are antneatal classes quite good for these sort of things? OH asked yesterday how much does a baby cost? I was like I have no idea, don't even know how much a nappy cost or how many you will end up using.
I do know I want a running style buggy with big wheels, if I can get one that can also be a carry cot and have car seat attachments that would be wonderful

Dipsy77 · 11/09/2020 14:59

My sickness is back with avengance along with the worst headache ever, if I don't eat I'm sick then I feel sick after eating. It went away at 11 weeks and now at 13+3 it's come back worse than ever 🤢xx

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 15:22

@Bl0ndi3 woohoo congratulations 🎉 xx

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 15:27

@Sophi123 congratulations on BFP 🎉 x

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 15:35

@Mococo1 I would definitely recommend a snuz pod, and the joie I spin car seat makes life easier! I also recommend the perfect prep machine if you don't want/can't bf. For highchairs the Ikea or Aldi ones are best value. I wouldn't waste money on fancy swings and seats our DS preferred a cheap bouncy chair from Asda compared to an expensive swing we had. We got the mamas and papas Ocarro Pram and would highly recommend it has a massive basket....useful when you want to go shopping!

Practical things....pampers baby disposable changing mats...perfect for when you have explosive nappy situations out and about and also for if your out and changing tables aren't so clean! They can also be used for you to lay on in bed after the birth! I also found mam bottles the best as you can sterilise them in microwave! Bepanthen I would say is best nappy rash cream! X

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 15:39

@blodyn91 I've seen those running prams and they look great for people into running I'm not sure if they have the car seat bit that goes on though or carry cot x

Antenatal classes are good but they teach you more how to look after baby bath them etc not what you need. I met a lovely group of women at mine who are my mummy wolf pack so I'm so glad I went to them and it was great as it got us even more excited. Most of my friends also went to a bf one but none of us felt that that was useful as until you have your baby you can't actually practice bf! It more just told us why it was good which you can read up on x

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 15:41

Thanks all so much! I was hoping I could rejoin this group whilst it was still technically summer and here I am - IM BACK BITCHES 😂😂😂😂

I'm obviously super nervous still and not sure when/if that will subside.

Had a chat with OH and he thinks we should tell my parents and I can tell my best friend so I have a support network this time around. Will wait til AF due date passes and line gets a bit stronger first though.

He wants me to be super cautious, limit DTD, limit exercise to only low impact stuff so no spinning, running, excessive workouts etc.. even though we both know it was nothing I did wrong last time we wanna be very cautious. I've basically been acting pregnant anyway, no caffeine, no fizzy drinks, only drank alcohol as it was my birthday on Sunday etc also gave up my ecig last time around and never went back to it.

Whilst we both know the chances of recurrent miscarriages is small, they can and do happen so cautious it is for us for a while.

OH thinks getting to 12 weeks with a happy healthy bean will be more meaningful now which I suppose is true but that's 8-9 weeks away 👀😂

blodyn91 · 11/09/2020 15:55

@Bl0ndi3 I know you want to be cautious but if you enjoy doing all of them things I wouldn't cut them all out as it might make you feel more ill. Spinning is 100% safe, if anything exercise is so so important and reduces the risk of things going wrong. I did an olympic distance triathlon on Sunday! 💜

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 15:58

@blodyn91 I'll probably just stick to swimming, yoga and maybe some prenatal workouts for the time being. I had just started running and spinning a lot more and enjoying it so I'll probably do them again when I feel a bit more confident about the pregnancy xxx just really scared of doing anything that could ruin things again

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 16:36

@Bl0ndi3 why no fizzy drinks? X

Busybee143 · 11/09/2020 16:51

@Mococo1 @Cocoblue22
I fully back MAM bottles they are a life saver do not buy anything else!
Also a good flask for hot water and a formula dispenser x

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 17:16

@Cocoblue22 mainly to avoid caffeine in cokes but also just to limit aspartame intake so just fizzy drinks with that in too, not for any pregnancy related reasoning tho haha x

mrsmummy1111 · 11/09/2020 17:35

Oh holy shit @Bl0ndi3 !!!!!!!

I don't know you in person, but truly feel absolutely and genuinely over the moon for you. You so deserve this. I just knew your baby was around the corner waiting for you ❤️❤️❤️

How do you feel???

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 17:45

@mrsmummy1111 aww it's so nice to have people so happy and excited for me who don't even know my real name ❤️🥺🥰😂 you guys are the best and I'm so glad I'm back on this journey with you.

I feel a mixture of things really, excited but then scared about getting too excited and nervous I guess but really trying to just relax because worrying won't change the outcome. I don't feel the way I wanted to feel about being pregnant which is a shame.

I have 2 weeks tests and I think seeing 2-3 and 3+ on those will probably put my mind at ease as I only ever got 1-2 on them last time.
I won't start using those until next week though as I'll want to be aiming for 2-3 first then 3+ on the other one haha. Got another FRER I'll save for Sunday x

Mococo1 · 11/09/2020 18:24

@blodyn91 lol you took the words out of my mouth 😂😂 I need to book antenatal classes.. think OH is leaving it up to me to teach him as I practically raised my neice and nephew (nappies feeds burping etc) but it's been a long while so I'm out of practice. I just asked him about nappies and he just said those adverts for nappies like normal boxers (he means pull ups loool) what's there to learn 😫

@Cocoblue22 @Busybee143 thank you ladies have copied and pasted onto a note and will come back to it when we're closer to buying anything- il list anything else anyone recommends to! And share with the group eventually 😬👍🏽 so useful for a first time mummy to be to have friends with experience 🤣

@Bl0ndi3 it's hard after a MC to fully enjoy but you will once you pass a certain stage I promise you! the feeling you have will only be temporary and can understand being mega cautious, just makes u feel better know you can do every little helps sometimes! excited to see your digital tests In a few weeks 🥰

SmileyT · 11/09/2020 19:23

Ahhh so annoying when you write a whole post then lose it 😤

@Mococo1 @blodyn91 I found it really fun to watch YouTube videos of newborn essentials. I've got a pretty detailed amazon wishlist from before I even conceived and already picked my pram out just need to go and see it irl which is the plan for tomorrow 👌🏾 I've also booked my antenatal class as they sold out in August for the March due dates 🤯

@Cocoblue22 how are you doing lovely? Yeah everyone says it's much easier to travel with a newborn so will definitely head out there while I'm on mat leave, I'm sure my my. will want to tag along aswell x

@Bl0ndi3 ahh I'm so happy for you!! I know it's hard but just try and remember that as of today you have everything you want by getting your BFP. I honestly don't believe that people feel any less sad if they are 'prepared' for bad news so try and be as happy as possible until you have a reason not to be (which won't happen as you now have your sticky bean) xx

@Dipsy77 hope you feel better soon x

@Sophi123 welcome and congrats x

@Ltay2 not long until your dating scan 🥳 and hope you get a bit of chill time this weekend, bet time is flying if you've been busy though x

@Mococo1 fantastic news about DH being able to attend your scan 🥰

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 19:49

@SmileyT that's a really amazing way of looking at it! I'm going to try and just be happy about it this is what I've always wanted and i May very well only be pregnant/have a baby once in my life so I don't want to spend too much time worrying! Thank you lovely

Sophi123 · 11/09/2020 20:27

Yes sounds like we could all probably do to help each other out on this new and exciting, yet anxious journey especially for those of us where things haven't gone right before. Only known I am pregnant for 12 hours but already worried and incessantly googling about cramping etc. Will have to think of ways to chill and enjoy it! Great to have a similar EDD buddy @Bl0ndi3 - hope all goes well for all of us xxxxx

Catherinettc · 11/09/2020 21:20

Girls how did u all feel around the 4 week mark?

I'm so sick, can't eat anything that isn't beige and can't stop sleeping. Been sleeping for days. Dizzy spells every so often too.

Never been this bad this early in pervious pregnancies and just want to check it's normal xx

Cocoblue22 · 11/09/2020 21:52

@Bl0ndi3 ah fair enough I have Diet Coke if we go out but don't drink fizzy pop at home. I just make sure I don't have too much and exceed the caffeine guidelines but I'm not drinking any tea or coffee so that's pretty much all I have it in other than a tiny amount in chocolate x

@Busybee143 we got the tommee tippee flask that was great for heating those tiny bottles of ready made milk up and also pouches of baby food when we started weaning. Already dug that bad boy out! 🤣 x

@SmileyT I'm good thank you hope you are too? 14 weeks today but it already seems like my 12 week scan was soooo long ago and ages until my next one! X

@Catherinettc totally normal! I felt like that from 4 weeks too! And mahoosive achey boobs to add to that list! All is fine don't worry x

Bl0ndi3 · 11/09/2020 22:11

@Cocoblue22 I'm an all or nothing kinda girl haha I tend to go a bit over the top with it even though I know it's safe to have some caffeine etc I just find it easier to cut everything because I'm too lazy to work out how much I've had and limit it 🤣

Catherinettc · 12/09/2020 00:25

Thanks @Cocoblue22 ❤❤

Mustbemad82 · 12/09/2020 06:20

Hey ladies
Congratulations to all the new ladies, welcome - this group has been really Supportive and Has helped to quell my anxieties (a little!,) and everyone has been so kind and lovely

My scan went well yesterday
I measured 8+2 but I think I’m just 8 so will take those early variations with a pinch of salt

Have registered with midwife but heard nothing and have booked another private scan for two weeks to keep an eye on things

My anxiety is super high today (I say it like anxiety is normal for me, it isn’t, it’s entirely conditional ) and I keep googling MMC convincing myself this will happen to me- it’s happened to a fair few people around me isn’t he last year and it’s made me twitchy-
As I keep stressing, I’m 38,!!

How is everyone doing

Just out of interest what ages are other people’s children and what does everyone do for a living
