@Sausage1990 I know it's so frustrating because I don't actually have a reason to feel this way, I think it's just because before TTC I had no idea what MMC even was and now I do it's one more thing to worry about so I've worked myself up to a point of being convinced it's going to happen to me. Even though I'm dreading it I'm looking forward to getting the scan over with just to know one way or the other now. Although soooo hopeful that everything will be fine!

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2020 14:45

@Mococo1 yeah it's wierd isn't it. I was crazy for pringles about 10day ago but now I can't even face opening the tube. I've got some sw chips on now. All my normal meal. Times have gone out the window and as I'm still off work I've got that luxury atm so I'm rolling with it. Apparently the sickness peaks in weeks 8-10 but I don't know if that means it gets worse or not. I'm feeling pretty rotten at week 7 so I can't imagine what it will be like if it gets worse. I assume I won't get away not being sick for much longer if it gets worse 😣

Can anyone who's got through the 1st trimester or has had babies before advise? What a re your experiences?

blodyn91 · 30/08/2020 17:54

@Sausage1990 have you tried going for walks and fresh air? It makes me feel 100% better.

@Ltay2 Im the same as you! Im trying to be super positive and believe everything is fine, then you hear of experiences on here and you can't help but get worried. Then I just think there is no point worrying over something I can't control, and just try and give my blueberry its best chance by being healthy both physically and mentally

samilicious · 30/08/2020 18:46

@Mustbemad82 woooo 🥰 so happy to hear this, you're a superstar for hanging in there, it's been so up and down

@blodyn91 I know, well annoying! it's 10th April now - 8+1 today. They did have me down as 5 days earlier initially based on LMP but hopefully updated it when I rang the other day.

@Sausage1990 the alcohol free Koppaberg is decent! Had that at a BYOB curry last week 😬 my sickness was so bad when I just turned 7 but not just get mildly queasy odd mornings / can last all day but only mild

@SmileyT it makes me sooo happy that you're back exercising 🥰 I remember you saying about training as a PT a good few threads ago and how worried you've been. Side note on being brave: finally DTD last night and wasn't anywhere near as scary as I thought 🥳

@Ltay2 Hope time goes quickly for you and you're not worrying for long - I know how you feel, got so worked up at mine which just made it proper emotional for everyone present 😂 even the sonographer! Nice moment though, I'm sure yours will be the same, but hopefully you find calm before then ❤️

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 19:21

Hi ladies just thought I'd check in and see how you're all doing!

Update for me, finally got peak on clear blue ovulation test today so after 27 days since my miscarriage it's nice to know things are finally happening

Xxx

Ltay2 · 30/08/2020 19:24

@blodyn91 @samilicious I'm feeling a bit better now! Had a lovely meal out with OH and allowed myself to talk about baby / telling his parents next weekend after the scan without getting myself worked up. Just really hope time goes quickly next week and can get it over with.

Eloise27 · 30/08/2020 19:46

Hi ladies, just thought I’d check in to say that all went well at our early scan today! My EDD has been pushed back a bit but I wasn’t surprised as my cycles are usually 33 days ☺️
Feels so real now! Just hoping that things continue to progress as they should!
Hope you’re all doing ok 😊

LittleRa · 30/08/2020 20:01

I’m rubbish at tagging people to join in/continue conversations 🙈 I am just on safari on my phone so feel like I should maybe get the app- does that make it easier?

I am definitely on the beige food at the moment too- living on plain cheese sarnies with white bread! I really want to make an effort to eat more healthily when I go back to work next week (school). What do people know about bagged salads? I think we’re meant to wash? Such a faff when the point of a pre-bagged salad is convenience! To have to get it all out and rinse it, then it’s all wet and watery.
I have eaten some different types of cheeses (I’m a vegetarian so pretty big on cheese!) but cooked so feta in feta and spinach pastries and ricotta in fresh ravioli at an amazing pasta restaurant. I also had a cheese soufflé in a restaurant and emailed beforehand to check the eggs were lion stamped 🤣
I think it was @samilicious who said- I’ve had a few of the no alcohol Kopparberg and Rekorderligs too, they’re really nice!
@Bl0ndi3 lovely hear from you on here and glad things are going in the right direction 💕
@Amy00 Still thinking of you, don’t worry about replying if you don’t feel up to it but you’re in my thoughts xx
@Ltay2 Totally with you on starting to feel anxious now... just 2 days until my 12-week scan (on Tuesday) and it’s such mixed emotions, so excited but such fear of any bad news. My DP keeps saying all we can do at this point is relax and face whatever news comes our way.
I am honestly soo tired all the time, I don’t know what I’m going to do when I’m back at work next week, I don’t know how you ladies who are working through this first trimester are coping!!

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2020 20:29

@blodyn91 I havnt tried going outside or for a walk actually. Tbh I've felt so awful ive just been going to bed but maybe I'll take myself for a little walk this week while DH is in work. My garden isn't functional as a garden atm (it's a jungle/covered in tarp to kill the weeds) so I can't sit out there for fresh air but I live near the taff trail & part of the river so I can wander there.

@samilicious that's interesting that your sickness was at its worst coming into week 7. I'm hoping mine settled rather than gets worse. I don't know how I'll manage if it gets worse and I go back to work. As part of my job I talk about food all day with people... Its guna make me feel very queasy lol.
And I agree with you @LittleRa I don't know how people are coping in work during the 1st trimester. Honestly I'm really nervous about going back on the 15th (even tho its just a few mornings to start) and coping with all of this and work, especially because I won't be telling them about the pregnancy until after the 12 week scan which I don't think I'll be getting until early October... We'll just see how it goes. X

SmileyT · 30/08/2020 20:31

@Ltay2 I think that MN is great but also can open your eyes to a lot of the sadness in ttc, I hope I haven't added to this. Honestly pregnancy is scary and an anxious time, we never know what will happen but just try to remember that for now you have everything you hoped for, until somebody takes that away try to enjoy it 🥰

@Sausage1990 yes it definitely started getting better from around 9weeks for me, hopefully you all join me in this soon. I still napped today so definitely not feeling 💯 but definitely don't constantly have that seasick 🤢 I was only sick 3 times was just this constant icky feeling, but I agree fresh air really helps. The days I'm at work I generally feel better as I'm out and about and distracted, sitting on the sofa would just make my head spin x

@Mococo1 yeah one thing my friend with a newborn told me recently is, don't be afraid to advocate for yourself, we're all so polite but it's not rude to ask for what you're entitled to, so don't feel like you're inconveniencing anyone to call and check on your appt x

@samilicious glad you got your freak on 😂 I felt so much better for moving my body, apparently giving birth is an absolute effort so want to be as fit as possible 💪 how are you doing?

@Bl0ndi3 yay for your body getting back to it, hopefully the TWW goes fast for you and you get that BFP again x

@Eloise27 congrats on a successful scan ❤️

@LittleRa ahh I am positive for you and can't wait for you and DP to see your first bubba together for the first time doing somersaults and all sorts 😝 if you've got little Tupperware boxes just wash the salad in a colander then shove some in the box with any other bits and pieces you want. p.s I love the app I find it so easy x

Just having a catch up...

@MrsEmilyB aww so sorry to hear you feel upset. I can understand how you feel though it is your news to share with who you wish and when you wish and he definitely shouldn't of told her. When you say he do you mean your dad or your brother? X

@Amy00 oh I am so sorry to hear your news 💔 that's so heartbreaking I am so sorry this has happened to you. Look after yourself and take time to heal x

@Bl0ndi3 that's great news! Hopefully you will be back on here shortly telling us you've got a BFP 🤞🏻 x

@Eloise27 @Mustbemad82 glad to hear your scans went well x

On the food front I'm also off a lot of things and liking mostly fruit or cold things or beige. I still feel very sickly but I haven't actually been sick at all yet though I've come close a few times x

MrsEmilyB · 30/08/2020 21:00

@Ltay2 this is exactly how I feel too 😭 I definitely agree with @SmileyT and think the more you know, the more you worry! And forums like this do teach you about both the good and the heartbreaking outcomes. I'm wishing the days away I til next Sunday!!

@Eloise27 glad your scan went well ❤️❤️❤️

@cocoblue22 my dad told her. I phoned him last night (very emotional) and we just had it all out in the open. Horrid, but cathartic as I never cry and now I feel relieved.

No more spotting today ladies ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Cramps but the stretchy kind not the "uh oh should i worry" kind. Thanks so much for keeping me sane. Dinner is an alcohol free koppaberg, crackers with cheese, some watermelon fingers and some dark chocolate whilst playing video games with DH 🍉🍫🧀 perfect relaxing evening

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2020 22:05

@MrsEmilyB I'm glad things have settled for you. It's scary but we're all here to support each other 💕 love the random dinners we all must be eating.. Although actually I had a proper meal for my dinner... DH cooked a sausage dinner so I had 1 sausage, 1 baby Yorkshire, a spoonful of mash and some peas. A kiddies portion but it was more than enough. I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

samilicious · 30/08/2020 22:38

@Bl0ndi3 great news, thank you for updating us. Been worrying about you - hope you're doing ok ❤️

@Ltay2 aww I'm glad - that was the only thing that calmed me down, accepting that for now, it was real and I told parents just to have something positive happen in relation to it, instead of all the worrying. That proper changed my thinking and helped me if there's anything little similar you can do?

@Sausage1990 I was sick with dread about going back after being off sick, but getting back into the swing of things was a really good next stage to feeling better. It made work realise the workload was too much so they changed deadlines and spaced stuff out, and like you said before putting your own boundaries in too. Luckily our Director is nice/realised they were pushing a bit too hard. If you need to talk about any of that stuff I'm here to help as someone who's been there ❤️ and walking really helps me destress too - has to be a park or field for at least 15-20 mins to do the trick

@Eloise27 great news on the scan 🥰

@MrsEmilyB wooo! So happy you're having some chill time and things are good downstairs

It's so gross but my new beige obsession is Fries2Go 😂 deffo not healthy, haven't had them since I was a kid. Love SW chips, need to swap for them. And veeg cheese, Flora, mayo and salad sandwiches 👌🏻 the salad part makes me feel less guilty

samilicious · 30/08/2020 22:40

@SmileyT I'm using you as my inspo and going to try a few runs this week 😌 and I'm ok thank you. That scan has proper chilled me out, just desperate to get healthy now but it's so hard feeling crap all the time. Spunked a load of money in lush at the weekend, hoping if I start the day feeling a bit fresher it will help!

Busybee143 · 30/08/2020 22:45

Hello guys, I thought I would finally say hello on this thread, I just hope I'm on here for the long haul. I'm 5 +3 and very anxious after 2 miscarriages. I've had a lot of cramps the last couple of days and I've been in bed a lot of today with exhaustion and a severe headache later on in the day which made me sick. My boobs were very sore but are nearly back to normal now so that's also worrying me. I've been reading through some of the thread and I'm so glad to see you most are getting on really well, sorry to some who are having some worries, it's also nice to come on and recognise some names.

Bl0ndi3 · 30/08/2020 23:00

Thanks ladies I feel really excited that things are moving in the right direction now. I would love nothing more than to come back onto this thread in a few weeks with my (second) BFP. However I am preparing myself for the alternative too and I think I'll be ok either way.

It's just nice to have a clue what's going on as it's looking like a 42 day cycle and that'd be agony if you don't know when you ovulate as you're just waiting blindly. Plus if i am lucky enough and I do catch again I'll have a rough idea of dates 😇 🙏🏻 🤞🏻

plan to DTD tomorrow as that's likely ovulation day (we dtd yesterday too) and then I think we're as covered as we can be and just going to switch off and enjoy my 30th birthday next Sunday and then see what happens!

@LittleRa @SmileyT @Cocoblue22 @samilicious

♥️♥️

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2020 23:03

Hey @busybee143 👋🏻 welcome to the group. So glad to see you here!!! Your anxieties are totally and you're in good company here for support and reassurance. It's the same warm & friendly vibe from our TTC buses which I was so happy about 💕
I've had cramps on an off since before my BFP, they've settled a bit this last 10 days but still come and go so try not to worry too much if there's no bleeding it's probably just your little seed getting all comfy.

@blodyn91 I this is random BUT I noticed that you refer to baby as the fruit/size it is, most recently as your blueberry 💕 I do this too and I'm glad I'm not alone. Although actually I'm sure loads of people do it but still. Love it. Xx

Busybee143 · 31/08/2020 03:59

Thank you @Sausage1990, how far gone are you now? I've woke up with horrendous cramp and I can't sleep 😕

MrsEmilyB · 31/08/2020 05:15

Ladies I'm having an early morning freak out. My BBT is dropping. I've heard that is an indicator that you're likely to MC. Help!! Has anyone else had this???

Summer '20 Grads ❤️
MrsEmilyB · 31/08/2020 05:40

I'm also having quite intense cramping. Definitely worse than period pains, it woke me up. Do you think I need to phone EPU later? Or do I have to go through a GP to refer?

I got my 3+ on my clearblue too, but am in full panic mode now.

SmileyT · 31/08/2020 07:53

@MrsEmilyB I would stop temping, I stopped once I got my BFP as there really is nothing good to come from temping after a BFP. You can always have dips in temp and can see from your chart that it's been around the cover line before so it definitely doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially after a bad nights sleep.

With the cramps if they are worse than period cramps and not just your body stretching then I'd speak to your GP to get a referral or if you can find a number for EPU try and contact them directly (some areas are doing reassurance scans and some aren't due to COVID) it's a great sign that you've got your 3+ on the CB it's an indicator that hcg is rising as it should. Just beware if you go in for a scan because it's so early they may not be able to see anything so it may make you more anxious but hopefully they'll do bloods to show that hcg levels are rising as they should.

I know it feels impossible when you feel negative but try not to panic as it's not good for you or your little lentil and won't change the outcome so try and stay as positive as possible xx

@Busybee143 welcome 🙏

OP posts:
Sausage1990 · 31/08/2020 08:07

@busybee143 urgh cramps are horrible. I sometimes get some that are really uncomfortable but thankfully they don't last long. Hope you're feeling better and managed to get a little more sleep.

I'm 7+1 weeks today & have an early scan looked privately on the 5th Sept at 7+6 which I'm a bit nervous about because it's the 1st time we'll be able to see anything & confirm it's all going well still.... Hopefully it will all be progressing nicely 🤞🏻 I honestly don't know how people can wait until 12 weeks haha its such a long time.

@MrsEmilyB oh bless you you're getting yourself in a pickle. Try to stay as calm as you can & take some deep breaths. I won't say anything else because @SmileyT said it all so well but keep us updated & hope you're feeling a bit better than a few hrs ago 💕

blodyn91 · 31/08/2020 08:16

@Busybee143 welcome!! glad you finally joined us 🥰
@Sausage1990 yes 😆 every Friday is like a new milestone as I get to start calling it a new fruit 🥰 This book I have suggests 30 mins of walking 5 days a week if you can, can be 15 in morning 15 in the afternoon. Says it helps against nausea (although it feels like the last thing you want to do), helps you mentally, and decrease s the likelihood of issues at birth 😊
Also going to join @SmileyT with some weights, because baby car seats and babys are heavy! Need some muscles 😆 I was laughing at you having to lower yourself down for the toilet, i do not miss that! But I do think you need to venture out more with your cheeses 😋 how about cream cheese? with carrot sticks or cucumber or smoked salmon. Simply the best!

@samilicious 🥳🥳 We've managed dtd 3x so far 😆 always so enjoyable so need to stop worrying 🙈 and yes get out running! Did you ever go swimming? I went again yesterday and feels better each time.

@MrsEmilyB Are you still in lots of pain? 3+ is definitely a positive. I stopped taking bbt as soon as I got my BFP. It can get unhealthy.

MrsEmilyB · 31/08/2020 08:39

@SmileyT @Sausage1990 @blodyn91 thanks lovelies. I just have this horrible sense of impending doom. I had another miscarriage nightmare this morning. The pain has subsided a bit and is more manageable now. I've telephoned the EPU helpline and left a message. They're open til 12 so I'm hoping someone calls me back, even if it's just for reassurance.
