Hi girls sorry to be a negative nelly today with all my woes about scans etc but my anxiety is super high today. I've had some brown cm when I wipe again and my intermittent cramping has joined it today. I've had cramping on an off since ovulation and I know it can happen for ages in a healthy pregnancy, as can brown cm when I wipe but jesus. It's just set my anxiety right up there. I thought my symptoms had gone too but I just went downstairs to potter around and I feel terrible again which is a relief lol. How does anyone relax during the 1st trimester?! Maybe it's because of my experience with a chemical, maybe it's my personality... Maybe it's completely normal to feel this way. It's not fun & I just needed to share because my head is a bit all over the place. X

Don't apologise, this thread is here for support. If you have had a little bleeding and cramping have you thought about contacting EPU? They may want to see you just to be on the safe side. I'd say if it's brown spotting it's 99% fine, I think fresh red blood is when they worry but personally I don't think you can be too careful. If it's worrying you and speaking to EPU might make you feel better then go for it.

@mrsmummy1111 yeah I think if it continues then I will contact epu for some reassurance. Thing is I had some the other day on 1 toilet trip them nothing and then again today, just the 1 toilet trip so far. Its it's just cm upon wiping. Nothing on a panty liner or in my underwear. I think I'll see how I go. When I had my scan last week she did say that there was some bleeding on my right ovary so I wonder if it's that. One of the other ladies here has some bleeding and was told to expect some spotting... I can't remember who it was though to ask how long it lasted for? Xx

That was @zippityzip I think?!
Ahhh did they say to expect a little bleeding then? It sounds like that's what it must be, in which case I really wouldn't worry too much (easy for me to say!) but still, you can never be too careful. Many many women have bleeding at some point in their pregnancy and its often nothing sinister, just remember that when you're feeling scared 😊

@mrsmummy1111 well she didn't say to except any spotting directly because we were talking about the scan in the context of ensuring it wasn't ectopic but I remembered someone saying a bleed can come out later (you're right I think it might have been @zippityzip) and then I googled it... God sounds so silly. Like I said I'll see how I go and if it continues I can just call EPU for advice. Thank you for your kind words of reassurance 😊

@Sausage1990 Yep that was me, I had a rather large bleed sitting underneath the baby and it came out later on over the course of two days. It was old blood too.

Regardless if you're worried then get checked. You're never wasting their time.

@MrsEmilyB that puts my mind at ease, thank you. I think it's because my mate at work's Mrs had to have hers early and they were quite poorly, and a lady on an old slimming world account I used to follow her twins and she had to have them mega early and they were in hospital for 6 months+ I've only heard these two bad experiences but there must be plants of good ones 😊

@Sausage1990 never apologise for sharing! I'm so sorry - it's so horrible not knowing what's going on all the time. I hope by the time our kids are having kids, there's an scan app so they can see what's going on themselves. Definitely contact EPU - not worth having the stress because that doesn't help baby either x

@Sausage1990 please don't apologise! We are all here to share the load with you ❤️❤️❤️ I'm sure it is probably the bleed on your ovary coming away so that all is fresh for bub in there. When is your next scan? Are you the day before me on the 5th September?

@samilicious - you're welcome lovely. I think she's about 36 weeks now and they haven't made an appearance yet! She's scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks if I remember rightly. She'll have 3 children under 3! Her LO only turned 2 in May!

God I have napped so much today. Avoided most nausea thankfully but been getting acid reflux/heartburn on and off since last night. Snuk away from work from about 10:30-1:30 to sleep 😴🙃 got lots to catch up on now!

However, I was woken up by the midwife from our doctors surgery calling to make my booking appointment 😊 feels very real! So we are doing that on 24th September. Think I'll be 9+1 then. She sounded lovely. Has anyone had theirs yet? What do they ask?

@MrsEmilyB booking appt was pretty basic at mine, first half on the phone that was about 20minutes; asked about me, how many pregnancies, living situation, own/ rent, job title, details about dad phone number, job title etc then about family history, any child deaths, still births etc and any mental illness on either side. Think that was about it 🤔 then second half face to face bloods, urine sample, height and weight and gave me my pregnancy folder ☺️ also whoop whoop to the CB test x

@Sausage1990 how are you feeling now lovely? Please always feel free to share your concerns/ worries I for one have had definite low days and I can imagine being at home you have so much more time to think about it. Much like the internal scan worries hopefully sharing and getting other people's views will relieve some of your stress xx

@Mococo1 how is the migraine? Hopefully a day off has helped it subside x

@zippityzip hope the day multitasking being a general superwoman wasn't too hard on you, and you managed to juggle 🙌🏾

So estate agency called- Vendors have sold every lot of the estate except the barn we went for, decided they put it up for too cheap and now asking £150,000 more 😫 which we can't afford as it will cost that much to make it livable, sort of upsetting but also better than being outbidded by £500. So we are still looking.....(Greedy bloody farmer, rest of the estate went for over 4 million, which is more than what he originally asked for).

@Sausage1990 Im feeling very strange these days. So I think hormones have a lot to do with feelings. Hopefully you are feeling a bit better by now.
I've just been mega hungry! I was with a farmer from 10-12:30 and thought I was going to throw up at the kitchen table so asked to use the loo! I think I need to have secret snacks in my pockets for meetings that over run like this! Once I get hungry I feel really really sick. Also been eating loads more than normal 😬

Hi @SmileyT I'm feeling a bit better this evening. My sister popped over on her way home from shopping to show me her new clothes for work/school starting again next week so that was a really nice distraction and I think I really needed it. You're right, being at home I've got alot if time to think, although I'm glad to be off I know being alone alot is hard.

@blodyn91 I'm quite glad I'm not alone is feeling strange. My emotions certainly feel heightened and I feel like I've got a hangover all day. My eating has been shit today... Just crackers, grapes, a few crisps & plain pasta with a bit of butter 🙈 All the beige. I think getting too hungry is definitely the worst but it's had when you feel nauseated... I have found these hard gingers sweets that seem to help when I'm feeling 🤢 out and about, they're called GinGins hard candies. And they do the trick for me to take the edge off, they may be helpful for meetings.

@MrsEmilyB Yes my scan is the day before yours on the 5th. I had some information from the midwives through today about pregnancy screening and choosing where to deliver etc but I havnt had a call about booking. I'm assuming I'll have one in the next few weeks closer to the 8 week mark. Xx

I’ve been missing in action but I have been reading your posts and rotting for you all

I have a scan booked at EPU on Friday but I haven’t slept all week and just needed to know
I went for one privately today and they saw a sac and yoke! Exactly where it should be

I’ve got such a long way to do and can’t relax just yet but it feels like such a different future than this time last week

@Mustbemad82 OMG what a relief!! now try and relax. Best news ever. I was feeling optimistic for you as your other scans were just soo early! Have you been having any symptoms? You'll hopefully be able to sleep and rest now!

Hi all just catching up after a few days away with DP and DD, booked a cosy cottage with outdoor hot tub and sauna before I got my BFP so I could actually use them! DP and DD loved them though and the cottage was so cute and we had a fire etc.

One week today until my 12-week scan.

@MrsEmilyB I have my booking appointment on the 11th. I have to fill a questionnaire to take with all about family history. Says it will take 1.5 hrs and includes taking bloods. I will be 9 weeks by that time. Not sure when I'll receive scan date. Every trust/hospital has a different protocol! It was quit sad yesterday as the midwife called as she was looking for the girl who had left an answerphone saying she no longer needs the appointment, but only left the date no name, so midwife was checking if it was me.

@Sausage1990 was this your twinny? Are you identical? Yes I think it's definitely good for you to have time off I just know that sometimes I get too much into my own head if I'm left alone for too long 🙈

@blodyn91 getting hungry is the worst thing, the hunger feels almost painful in my tummy if I wait too long 😩 ahh that's a real shame about the barn, but yeah 150k over original asking is outrageous. What is this pregnancy fitness book? Any good? Sorry I'm rubbish at actually googling stuff myself so just steal any good ideas from you ladies 😂

@Mustbemad82 this is amazing news, did you see the heartbeat or was it still too early? Will be nice to see the progression on Friday aswell, so excited for you, rest up and look after yourself ❤️

@LittleRa ooh that sounds like a lovely pre-school trip, nice cosy cottage especially as the weather has turned sounds like the dream. I know I could never be a teacher as it's such hard work but during summer holidays I wish I was 😂

@Sausage1990 it also depends on your build and where your uterus is positioned too I had a WTTW one at 6+4 and at 9+5 both tummy scans and saw everything just fine but if they can't get a clear image they will then usually do an internal. Also it's normal to worry and feel anxious in pregnancy especially after you went through a CP I'm sure everything is fine though and you can ring you epu if you are really worried and I'm sure they will help x

@blodyn91 ah sorry to hear about the barn however I do believe that when things don't work out they aren't meant to be and maybe your dream home is still out there waiting for you I'm sure it will all work out for a reason x

So ladies I clearly now look VERY pregnant which I'm aware of one lady asked me outright today (complete stranger) are you having a baby? And another lady when I told her how far I was joked it must be twins 🙄 how many times I heard that when preg with DS! Nope I just show early it's like my body goes oh we're doing this now and just pops out! So I feel rather whaleish atm! Also we're at a hotel tonight and I've noticed there's a Ben and Jerry's vending machine.....Deffo sending DH for that shortly! Hope everyone is good x

@SmileyT Oh yes the summer holidays can’t be beat, it’s soo good and my DP now is a teacher too we’re off together (my ex, DD’s dad is not a teacher so the summer holidays weren’t as good then). However it’s back to a bit of reality tomorrow as I’ll be going into school tomorrow, thurs and fri to get all sorted- classroom all set up in the new Covid regulations, resources organised, write risk assessments for the children returning, phone some parents and see how they/the children are feeling about returning, prepare some staff training I’m delivering on first day back and plan out the first week with the kids- we’re having a big focus on wellbeing, mental health, re-building relationships etc rather than launching straight in with maths and spellings etc.

@blodyn91 Wow, £150k more, that is just crazy! I know what you mean though that if it had been just a few hundred or couple of thousand that you’d missed out on it by you’d always regret it but this way it’s been taken out of your hands, hopefully something else amazing will come onto the market.

@cocoblue22 ahh how far along are you now? I almost hope I'm an early shower! My friend looks about 5 months when she announced it after her 12 week scan and she carries big!

@MrsEmilyB I'm 11weeks today I was massive with DS but I'm quite short and have a short body so I feel like it just pops out really quickly I found last time I got big fast but after about 28 weeks I didn't get much bigger I just looked really pregnant for ages!! X
