Hope everyone's ok and enjoying this respite from the extreme heat!
@Workingmama1 I haven't had much nausea but bizarrely I too had a craving for Greggs sausage rolls which I never normally eat!
@Pugprincess It's horrible and frustrating waiting to see if all is ok isn't it. I'd stay away from the digitals, I haven't used them but I know they've got some people really worried in the past.
@Sakura54 Only 2 days til your scan!! Exciting! Smile

I finally have a face to face with my midwife on 26th which is a relief. It turns out the referral for consultant led care that was supposed to happen because it's twins (and so higher risk) got lost in the system - she kick-started it but my appt with the specialist which was finally organised for the 24th Aug has been postponed til 7th September :-(
It's taken so many phone calls to keep my notes from falling through the gaps it's ridiculous but good to finally have some dates to aim for!! I'm hoping when I see the midwife I'll be able to hear both heartbeats as I wake up every morning worrying if they're both ok!

Have a good Sunday everyone, hope symptoms aren't causing people too much grief! Xx

RosieJess91 · 16/08/2020 13:21

I sincerely hope none of you get morning sickness like I do. It's horrific. It hurts. Someone send help. Feel like I'm dying.

Okay, little bit dramatic, but I really hope none of you get HG, it's awful. I've spent the last 3 days in bed, god knows how I'm going to cope at work tomorrow!!

I'll be consultant led like you @JennyMY, hopefully not because of twins, but just down to my heart. I think you must be further on than me, so you must let me know exactly what goes on in the extra consultant appointments, just so I have a heads up! 😊

RosieJess91 · 16/08/2020 13:22

(Not that having twins isn't wonderful, I just don't think I would cope very well with twins as well as my son! He's a lot at the moment, but I suppose that could be due to having no school since March!)

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 13:33

@RosieJess91 aw no poor you! I don’t want that much sickness but just a little lol. Seriously though hope you feel better soon. How far gone are you, x

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 15:34

Hi everyone. Really hope I'm not intruding ☺️ I just got my BFP two days ago, had a Missed Miscarriage in June so I'm obviously feeling very nervous. I was wondering if I could join? Makes me feel better to get advice & follow everyone else's journeys ☺️🌈

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 16:17

@Abi0795 hi 👋🏻 I’ve only just joined too. Congratulations on your BFP! How are you feeling? How far gone do you think you are? X

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 16:23

Hi @Pugprincess so good to find a group of girls in a similar position! So I'm 13dpo but got a clear blue digi test showing 2-3 weeks! So I'm hoping it's a good sign for my HCG as I've been scared of having a chemical. I'm feeling nervous, I suffer from anxiety anyway so it's just contributing to even more nerves 😅

How're you? Xxx

ew1990 · 16/08/2020 16:40

Welcome @abi0795.

@skyblue20 not long till your scan. ❤

bubblybon20 · 16/08/2020 16:52

@SkyBlue20 hope you're scan goes well this evening 💕

JennyMY · 16/08/2020 16:56

@SkyBlue20 Good luck for your scan! X

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 16:57

@Abi0795 wow yes that’s strong already, I bet you implanted early. I’m 2-3 weeks on CB too but I suspect I’m 5 weeks today or at least by Tuesday. I got preg straight after my mc so I can only go by my ovulation and I can’t pin point exactly when egg released just around abouts from my peak opk. I have a scan a week Friday but last fews days had some light brown discharge so been scared. I think it’s easing now as just had some more and looks lighter to me. Fingers crossed it goes away. In myself I’m pretty lazy/tired/napping, sometimes heartburn a bit, bloated, twitches and twinges, mild cramps etc, boobs particularly nipples are a bit puffy and sore, think boobs are starting to swell a bit, noticed particularly at sides near armpits? Had some stabby pains there so maybe that’s why. X

@SkyBlue20 good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 17:22

@Pugprincess sorry to hear you've been a bit nervous. But all sounds well and I'll have my fingers crossed for you! It's such a nerve wrecking time for all of us. Everyday for me at the moment is precious xx

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 17:29

@Abi0795 yes definitely! I daren’t get my hopes up either though 😩 but even though I’m not getting carried away I’d still be devastated so there’s no way to protect myself really. X

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 17:30

Exactly @Pugprincess it's still going to hurt no matter what happens xxx

SkyBlue20 · 16/08/2020 18:44

Hi all! Off to catch up in a mo but just wanted to check in - just back from our scan and little bean was wriggling away on the screen with a nice strong heartbeat and measuring exactly nine days on from my scan nine days ago. That makes me 9+6 today, annoyed about losing a day from my date based on LMP mainly because I wanted to be over 10 weeks but close enough! So thrilled, was amazing seeing the little one just wriggling around and for my husband to be able to be there, too. I know we still have a long journey ahead of us but I’m feeling a little bit more confident about it - we’ve got past last time and everything feels much easier (last time I measured a week behind, which I do actually think was right based on when I thought I ovulated and I also had a ‘collapsed corpus luteum’ that I was told not to worry about by the private scan place but never actually got any answers from midwives about). Sonographer said she couldn’t see any signs of any bleeds or cysts or anything so last week’s bleed must have just been one of those things 🤷🏻‍♀️
We went to Window to the Womb this time and I would 100% recommend them. Last time we went to Ultrasound Direct and the experience was nowhere near as positive.
So overall, I’m thrilled and a little bit in love 🥰 Just hoping baby bean holds on now and it’s not too long until my 12 week scan 🤞🏼

Ah @SkyBlue20 that’s so lovely! Really pleased for you and so nice that your husband got to be there 😍

@Workingmama1 I’ve screenshot that post you put up this morning, these are all the things we need to keep remembering! Thank you! Hope you got a sausage roll in the end 😁

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 19:01

@SkyBlue20 cute!!! Congratulations 💖

JennyMY · 16/08/2020 19:08

@SkyBlue20 awww so cute!!! 💕

Workingmama1 · 16/08/2020 19:10

Awwwe @SkyBlue20 so glad it went well! Must have been lovely to be able to see it again looking good. Do you have your 12 week scan date yet?

@RosieJess91 HG sounds really tough, are you on medication for it?

Welcome @Abi0795

I never got my sausage roll but made my daughter bean, cheese and ham pastry puffs which were almost as good!

@JennyMY must he something about greggs sausage rolls that does it for pregnant women! Can't believe you've had to chase for your appointments, glad it sounds like they are finally sorted for you.

SkyBlue20 · 16/08/2020 19:23

@ew1990 I was talking about how Christmas will be rubbish this year earlier - no wine, no pate, no soft cheese! I want a second Christmas in March/April please, do you think I could demand a Christmas dinner for my birthday in April? 😂

@Pugprincess Hope you're doing ok. Like somebody else said, brown is old and a lot of us have had bleeding and been ok, know how worrying it is though - I was there last week. Sending strength.

@Workingmama1 I would also have been furious at your husband with the sausage rolls! God I want a sausage roll! Tomorrow might be the day I venture out and get one. No 12 week scan date for me yet, hoping the hospital ring tomorrow to get it booked in, would be nice to have a date to work towards.

@JennyMY Glad your consultant appt has finally been sorted. It is crazy how much some things have to be chased, especially in a higher risk pregnancy like yours!

@RosieJess91 Sending love, hope the HG calms down so you get a bit of a break from it at least 💕

@Abi0795 Welcome and congrats on your BFP! I'm so sorry for your loss, it's a horrible club to be in but this thread is all sorts of wonderful as we all know what we're going through - I feel that pregnancy after loss is a whole different ballgame.

@Sakura54 Not long until your 12 week scan now!

Thank you all for the good lucks and the congratulations, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Sure I'll be back to worrying again soon but good to have some respite at least!

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend xx

Pugprincess · 16/08/2020 20:05

@SkyBlue20 awww! That’s so amazing! ❤️
Well I think 💭 the brown might be going away 🤞🏻 I had some come out and I’d describe it more beige in colour now. Then when I had a BM some more on tissue and that looked almost normal really. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come back.

Anybody else get major wind pains if you get too hungry? Just cooking dinner 🍽

bubblybon20 · 16/08/2020 20:08

@SkyBlue20 that's a great pic! 😍 glad everything went well 😀😀xx

ew1990 · 16/08/2020 20:11

@skyblue20 go for it! This is outing but my birthday is Christmas day so im deffo having one in April 😂😂

I love your scan picture it makes me so happy 😊😊

Abi0795 · 16/08/2020 20:27

Thank you @SkyBlue20

I think it's so hard for people to understand if they've never been in this position. My friends are so supportive but can't quite understand my complete anxiety. At the minute I'm taking everything step by step, so using each week as a milestone 💖

SkyBlue20 · 16/08/2020 20:56

@Pugprincess That sounds promising! Hopefully it was just clearing out some last bits. I don’t get wind pains if hungry but I go from not one bit hungry to ‘must eat IMMEDIATELY’ in about two seconds flat 🙈

@ew1990 Ahh a Christmas Day birthday, that’s amazing! You DEFINITELY deserve delayed celebrations for that though - Christmas AND your 30th?! In a similar vein, I’ve already told my husband (who is an amazing cook) what meal I want as soon as we get a chance after baby - it’s a pate starter, with Serrano ham, too, then a medium rare steak with a bottle of red wine for mains and a cheese board for desert 🤤 Just seven months to go... 😂

@Abi0795 Completely agree that it’s hard to understand if you’ve not been through it, that’s why it’s so nice to have this space, I think. Milestones are a great idea and exactly what I’m doing and have since the minute I found out. What’s your next one? Xx
