@RosieJess91 with my second, I was showing by 8 weeks! Here is a picture! Obviously it was probably mainly all bloat 🤣 how many weeks are you now? X

ew1990 · 11/09/2020 11:13

@bubblybon20 that's an impressive bump.

14 weeks today for me and I had an awful dream last night that is had my 20 week scan and baby had died. I think it's always playing in the back of my mind.

I could've cried yesterday . I'm so exhausted. My belly felt so tight my back was really hurting and my hips. Then I woke up this morning after 11 hours sleep feeling like I'd not slept a wink and sick 😣 feel better now I've eaten some toast. Hoping it starts to settle now I'm in the 2nd trimester

bubblybon20 · 11/09/2020 11:17

@ew1990 that was with my son, I ain't even near that size now at 16 weeks.. literally don't feel like I even have a bump 🤣

What an awful dream 😓 think it never stops been scary.. hope you're okay, sending lots of hugs x

bubblybon20 · 11/09/2020 13:34

Had a phone call this morning with a consultant, they're booking me in for and extra scan at 28 weeks, and then got to see babies growth and if they are concerned they said they may need to offer a few more scans until birth! This is the first pregnancy With loads of scan, I've already had 3 and only 16 weeks got one this Sunday as well 🙈 maybe lay off the private ones now 😂😂

ew1990 · 11/09/2020 13:42

@bubblybon20 they've booked me a growth scan at 28 weeks. I had them with DD every 2 weeks from 28 weeks and was induced due to slow growth so they just wanna keep an eye on this one

bubblybon20 · 11/09/2020 13:55

@ew1990 I think it's good they check as nothing more worrying, mines for a heart check on the baby, as I was born with a heart defect, I had them with the boys. The extra after 28 weeks are because I have recently being diagnosed with ceoliac disease and can sometimes cause low birth weight or premature babies!

SkyBlue20 · 11/09/2020 14:09

Afternoon all! Crazy busy at work today, I haven’t stopped. Just taking five to eat a sandwich then back to it. How are we all?

@RosieJess91 Bet you can’t wait to find out either way just to stop all of the speculation!

@Sakura54 Can imagine a walk a day helps, I definitely think I need to move more, my back has been agony.

@Lu93 They could definitely be allowing them - worth calling closer to the time to check, fingers crossed for you! Also have a look at the hospital’s Facebook page if they have one - my hospital put all updates on there.

@Workingmama1 That’s so annoying about the yoga! Will you be able to keep hold of the credit for next year?

@ew1990 What an awful dream 😔 I think the anxiety is completely normal and probably won’t ever leave us all completely but the odds are SO highly in our favour at this point so try not to worry. I keep worrying they’re going to find something wrong at my 20 week scan but trying to bag those thoughts away and enjoy the pregnancy now the constant anxiety has alleviated a little bit. Sorry you’re feeling so rough, too, hope it’s eased during the day. Xx

14 weeks tomorrow! Dying to get to 16 weeks now, not sure why, it’s just the next milestone in my head. Told a couple of friends yesterday and today, which was so exciting but also so weird - it feels naughty to tell them! - but going to tell the family and rest of friends this evening all being well. Not heard anything from the hospital yet and it’s been about 48 hours so we’re hoping no news is good news when it comes to the screenings and that they would have told us sooner rather than later if something were wrong - they said within 72 hours so know there’s still time but feeling a bit more confident touch wood.

Poppy10121 · 11/09/2020 17:45

@Lu93 yes some places are now allowing partners at scans! My hospital just confirmed this too so I am hoping nothing changes in next 3 weeks 🤞

@workingmama1 hope you have a lovely holiday and can relax!

@Skyblue20 how exciting you can tell friends now!! Had they guessed already or was it a total surprise? I also love the little statue you posted before, what a lovely way to commemorate your baby x

Sakura54 · 11/09/2020 20:09

@bubblybon20 I actually felt more like different sensations on one side when trying to sleep. I’m hitting 16 weeks so it’s possible that it’s kicks. I haven’t been paying attention but it’s becoming more noticeable and stronger. Would be nice if it was so I know it’s ok in there but soon it’s going to be uncomfortable as you know. My next scan is still nearly a month away but maybe the consultant will check heartbeat next week.

Well my nausea wasn’t too bad this time anyway but yeah still lingering unfortunately. It was my 4th time vomiting which is ok.

@Workingmama1 Have a nice trip! So you walk one hour altogether and pushing buggy, that’s decent. I had to pick the closest nursery as I’m thinking ahead for when the baby arrives and others will be doing the nursery run for a while so didn’t want to inconvenience them with a long walk/drive. I also get breathless easily when pregnant but like walking.

bubblybon20 · 11/09/2020 20:15

@Sakura54 ah most likely is kicks for you then! I can't wait for those kicks. And yeah they become very uncomfortable the last 2months when there's very limited room 🙈🙈x

Workingmama1 · 11/09/2020 20:52

Wow @sakura54 exciting of you are maybe feeling kicks! The last day of so I've been feeling bubbles like the start of movements but at 10 weeks I can be 100% sure its wind.

Although I'm embracing symptoms as hopefully a sign things are still going OK I'm sick of them now! I feel so wiped out, and am still getting cramping in the evening or if I do too much which keeps freaking me out. It's making me not look forward to my holiday as I can't see how I can enjoy it if I feel like this. With my daughter I went on a hen do to Portugal and was out partying until 1am at 9 weeks, it's so different this time round!

Combined with my continued anxiety it's making me feel quite down and worrying about going away. But it will be amazing to spend time as a family and not work! (Even if I sleep for most of it 🤣)

@SkyBlue20 exciting that ypu are now telling people! For yoga once I get to my scan I'm going to ask if she's considering stsrting pregnancy yoga again, if not then I'm happy to loose the money, she's taken such a financial hit and only started up last year so would feel bad asking for anything.

RosieJess91 · 11/09/2020 20:55

@bubblybon20 I'm 10+3, with bloat I get about that big, without bloat, I'm like the pic.
Can't wait, we are waiting to find out what's happening with our company events before we book a scan though. Stupid Covid ruining our year! (Again!!)
This 6 people thing is just a bit ridiculous now, because it's either too late for some places, or just plain ridiculous when schools and offices can still be packed. What's the difference between me seeing 6 other people to only 5 other people, when my son is going to school with 29 other children?! Fed up with this stupid government.

SkyBlue20 · 12/09/2020 07:06

Morning everyone!

@Poppy10121 No-one had guessed actually! Some had hoped but none had guessed. I suppose it’s because I haven’t seen anyone - I’ve been keeping away 😂

@Sakura54 Exciting that you might be feeling kicks!!

@Workingmama1 10 weeks already! Not long until you hit that 12 week mark now! So sorry you’re not feeling great, hopefully the holiday will be just the tonic you need and will help you to take your mind off things and relax a little. Just do what you need to do when you’re there - if that’s early bed times and late rises (well, as late as you can get with a little one) then just embrace it. How lovely of you about the yoga 🥰

Told all of our friends and family last night, felt so much love! It was so lovely to be able to share but also terrifying in a way - I feel like we’ve tempted fate (especially as we were a few hours ahead of the 72 hours we’d get a call about the screening results in). What’s nice is being able to chat to my friends with kids about the pregnancy as obviously they’ve been there, bought the t-shirt. It’s been a lovely few days actually as my DH’s best friend also got engaged so just lots of nice news and positive vibes being shared 🥰

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned? Xx

SkyBlue20 · 12/09/2020 08:07

Oh I know what else I wanted to say! I went shopping last night and H&M had a sale on maternity wear, got some great under the bump skinny jeans for £7 and some shorts for £6 - definitely worth checking out if anyone is looking for maternity bits. Zara also has lots of drawstring/elasticated waist trousers in that could be really useful. Didn’t really get anywhere else as didn’t have too long before the shops shut after work but wanted to share as I know a few of us were in that in between stage!

Poppy10121 · 12/09/2020 08:21

@SkyBlue20 ah how lovely! So nice to be able to talk to your friends who have been through pregnancy too ☺️
Thank you for the clothes tip too, I have started doing some looking online and if all is well in 3 weeks I will treat myself to some jeans I can actually wear!

I’ve woken up this morning with a really sore armpit one side, obviously went straight to Dr Google and I’m hoping it’s just to do with growing breast tissue but has anyone else experienced this?

I’m babysitting for my friends kids tonight so she and husband can go out for his birthday - already getting nervous at the thought of not being in bed by 10, so exhausted this week! 🥱

Hope you all have nice weekends planned

SkyBlue20 · 12/09/2020 09:18

@Poppy10121 Yes! I’ve had the sore armpit thing a few times, it’s so bizarre! I just assumed it was one of those things - the body is really up to all sorts, isn’t it?! Ahh you’re so lovely babysitting, hope they don’t keep you up too late!

JennyMY · 12/09/2020 16:37

Hi everyone. I've been silent as we've been uncertain of how things are with our twins, after a failed NIPT test and delayed results. Devastatingly, yesterday we received news that one of our twins, the little girl, has tested positive after amnio for Trisomy 18, Edwards Syndrome, which is incompatible with life. I wouldn't wish this news on anyone. Our 12 week screening gave her a risk of only 1:3360 - it was only because my consultant saw a heart anomaly at a scan last week that we had an amnio.
I will be staying off the board as this news has been overwhelming, but I wish you all and your babies the very best xx

SkyBlue20 · 12/09/2020 22:42

I’m so sorry to hear that, @JennyMY. I’m sending you so much strength and love and best of luck with the rest of your journey. Will be thinking of you xxx

Smilingdonkey · 12/09/2020 23:52

@jennymy I'm so sorry to hear your news. Sending love xxxxxxx

Pugprincess · 12/09/2020 23:52

Sorry @JennyMY 😔

I’m not doing too well. Two staff at school have tested positive for covid now. I’m full of cold after my first week with the kids despite wearing ppe and being super careful. I don’t think I will be going work tomorrow at this rate I feel rough at the moment. Pretty sure it’s a cold though as snotty/stuffy nose /sneezing and sore dry throat, none are covid symptoms are they? Will keep an eye on my temperature. Trying to do without paracetamol if I can. X

Poppy10121 · 13/09/2020 08:25

So sorry to hear that @JennyMY, thinking of you xx

ew1990 · 13/09/2020 08:44

@jennyMY so so sorry. We are all here if you need a vent or anything. Thinking of you ❤❤

DanceM1 · 13/09/2020 09:29

Morning ladies.

@JennyMY I am so sorry to hear that. I wish I could say something to make you feel better ❤

@Pugprincess I feel exactly the same as you described... it shows we are still picking things up from the children. Luckily, so far we haven't had any confirmed cases in our school and I have been randomly selected to be part of a study so am being tested once a week this month then once a month after that. It reassures me a little. I completely share your concerns though, it is a worry. Hope you're ok and definitely stay home if you need to.

@SkyBlue20 I am just so happy for you! Its so so nice to share news with people and see that they are genuinely pleased for you after everything that happened last time 💕

@poppy10121 I've had the sore armpit thing a few times earlier on.. its strange but I think normal.

In terms of clothes, I have bought a few swing dresses a size above to hide my bump for now at work. Ive bought maternity leggings from asos (going to order more because they're great) and one pair of under the bump maternity jeans but they are too big at the moment and just fall down so no use 😂 i definitelt can't fit in any normal jeans or dresses that are more fitted so its elasticated waits and swing dresses all the way for me now!

Pugprincess · 13/09/2020 11:33

@DanceM1 aw I hope you feel better soon. I feel really rough now I don’t know what to do with myself. It’s making me feel really sick too 😩

Poppy10121 · 13/09/2020 13:56

Thank you for your reassurance over the weird armpit thing @SkyBlue20 and @DanceM1 😊 I feel like the closer I get to my scan date the more I am overanalysing everything. Private scan tomorrow - I should be 10.5 weeks so I’m hoping if it’s good news it’ll stay good news 🤞
