Just recieved my letter from the downs testing.. it's 1 in 1229.. that to me doesn't sound very low.. but does say at the bottom on the letter it's classed as a lower risk. That's all they tested me for I think 🤷🏻‍♀️

bubblybon20 · 05/09/2020 10:35

Actually just googled about it in more detail, so feel pretty okay with the result now 🤦🏻‍♀️

Pugprincess · 05/09/2020 11:39

@Allgirlmum hi 👋🏻 I’m ok thanks. Felt sick yesterday morning for a few hours and it wore off by lunchtime. Was struggling to eat though even though I was hungry. Not been bad today so far. Still not been sick, kind of want to so I know I’m not imagining it but I know someone who’s not felt sick at all and she’s 14 weeks. Scan tomorrow at 11!!! Eeeek. Praying it’s grown since my one at the epu 🙏🏻🤞🏻

PhotoMum4 · 05/09/2020 12:31

Just had a big catch up after first week back at work.
Congratulations to all who have had successful scans and test results. 🤞🏻 They keep coming.

Had 12 week scan yesterday, all good and still 3 days ahead of LMP dates so have been officially moved to 12+2 now and due 18th. Just got to wait for blood results.

Still feeling horrendously sick day and night, 2 lots of prescription anti sickness pills and I am able to function. A day at school is killing me though.

We started telling people yesterday after the scan and it feels so weird that people know now.

How are you all doing?

Sansa87 · 05/09/2020 14:12

I’m trying to figure out how many weeks pregnant I am so if/when I call the gp I can let them know.

I just took a cb digi because I’m an idiot and it says 2-3. I never saw the 3+ last time, & said I’d save this one until I saw it.

My IC is still very strong, but it was last time too 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t know what I’m after with this tbh, maybe someone to say they have a crystal ball and can tell me if this is going to go well, or to accept it wont. (I promise I’m usually a lot more upbeat, but today, with the lack of symptoms, upped cramps, and brown discharge I just have dejavu of the mmc in July) xxx

@Pugprincess your so lucky I wish I could get a scan already 😞

Allgirlmum · 05/09/2020 14:24

@Sansa87 2-3 I think means 4-5 weeks pregnant mine says the same well I’ve not retested with the digital cause I’m scared 🙈
Anyway please try not to panic I know it’s easier said then done hand hold

Sansa87 · 05/09/2020 14:29

Thankyou @Allgirlmum it’s so hard isn’t it. Emotionally I absolutely felt ready to start again, but it is hard still.

I think I just really hoped I would see the three weeks today, even though I only got the static three weeks ago today. 🙄

One day at a time. Just need to repeat that to myself.

ew1990 · 05/09/2020 14:44

@sansa we all know the worries too well. I never did a digital because I knew it would make me more anxious.

I had a lot of cramping at the start. Like period pains at around 7 week. And a bleed at 9 week and everything was fine. Just take each day as it comes and celebrate the little milestones. I used to wake up and tell myself today I am pregnant.

bubblybon20 · 05/09/2020 16:40

@Smilingdonkey @DanceM1 you've been quiet, hope you're both doing okay :)

Sansa87 · 05/09/2020 17:03

Thanks @ew1990 it’s all just a bit shit this pregnant thing.

Gonna just focus on the ic result I got today, and forget everything else ❤️

DanceM1 · 05/09/2020 17:10

bubblybon20 Hello! Ahh I have been reading but there was so much I wanted to reply to I didnt know where to start! 🤣 but I'm fine thank you. Hope everybody else is doing well.

@Workingmama1 and @lu93 congratulations on the scans!🥰

I've been told my 16 week appointment is in person. Its a week on Thursday. Is anybody else's in person?

@SkyBlue20 I used to have crazy crazy awful dreams.. i would often dream that I had murdered somebody and wake up still believing it was true 🙈 not sure i want to know what that means haha but strangely I havent been dreaming as much since being pregnant! Its exhausting when you dream so much though isn't it because you wake up feeling like you haven't been to sleep!

ew1990 · 05/09/2020 17:30

@sansa wow my ic never got that dark and I tested everyday for about 2 weeks. 🙈🙈

SkyBlue20 · 05/09/2020 17:41

@bubblybon20 Risk sounds low - convert it in to a % (about 0.08%?) it always sounds much lower then, too ☺️ How long did it take to get your results back?

@Pugprincess Good luck for the scan tomorrow!

@PhotoMum4 Congrats on the successful scan! 🥳 Sorry to hear you’re still feeling so rough though 😔 We were just saying how weird but nice it will be when we can tell people about the pregnancy - I’m sick of having this big secret!

@Sansa87 Big hand hold, this whole thing is so anxiety-inducing. I too had a bleed at 8+4, had a scan and all was ok. Had another scan at 9+6 and all was still good, so blood isn’t necessarily a sign that something is wrong - though I know it’s hard not to worry. Xx

@DanceM1 God that dream sounds awful! Glad you’ve not been having them, sounds stressful!

TMI alert but my body is up to all sorts today - my boobs and nipples were crazy sore and tingly for about an hour earlier, was worse than anything I’ve had previously, it was so strong! Was out for lunch with a friend and it was so hard to concentrate on chatting rather than the fire going on there! Also got way more discharge today, too. Taking it all as good signs that something is going on in there. It is crazy when you really think about the fact that our bodies are making whole new humans! Was reading about the blood flow between mother and baby the other day and it’s just all so clever.

RosieJess91 · 05/09/2020 18:11

How far along are you again @SkyBlue20, because that might be the answer. I think it's anywhere from around 14 weeks you can start producing milk, so if you're close to that milestone, it might be why!
Some of you are lucky you're getting to tell people, I don't have to, people can see I am! It's insane!!! My OH has already told me if it's anymore than 2 babies, he'll probably be disappearing on the next flight out. (He's joking, mostly...) Both my mum and my neighbour have commented on my bump today, I told my neighbour I was only 10 weeks and she looked at me oddly and said well, can't be just one in there then!
So if I have my scan and it does turn out to be just one baby, I'm going to be very surprised!

PhotoMum4 · 05/09/2020 18:31

@RosieJess91 I know how you feel, I have been struggling to hide my bump all week at work. Telling people yesterday I was amazed people hadn’t guessed.
I’m 12 weeks and this is my bump, feel at least 4 weeks bigger than I was at this point with my son.

Sakura54 · 05/09/2020 18:31

@RosieJess91 It’ll be good for you to finally have a due date. I doubt it’s twins, some people just show early depending on different things. How would you feel if it was? My sonographer jokingly asked if I was scared in case it were twins, then said I’d be happy if it were. Umm...no lol.

@DanceM1 My appointments seem to be in person even though my next ones are only 3 weeks apart, so let’s see what they say after. It’s even on a different day to my scan so I have to go in lots.

I think it’s classed as low risk when it’s 1 in 150, so your result is good! @bubblybon20

Lovely news! So much positivity so far, it’s great. Got a pic? @PhotoMum4

OP posts:
SkyBlue20 · 05/09/2020 18:32

@RosieJess91 I’ll be 13weeks tomorrow/Monday so not too far off! Could well be something like that, it’s crazy how much they were hurting/tingling.
Gosh, it does sound like you might be having multiples! We do have some twin pregnancies on here already, maybe they can advise on what their bumps were like? I don’t know how you have the patience to wait to find out (probably because I’m the most impatient person in the world)!

What’s everyone doing about side sleeping? I’m reading mixed reports with some places saying it isn’t necessary until the third trimester, which will make my questions pointless but other places say second trimester. I’m trying to do it even if just to get used to it but finding it hard and like now I’m lying on the couch and got uncomfortable on my side so moved on to my back, should I be staying on my side?! 🤔🧐

SkyBlue20 · 05/09/2020 18:37

@PhotoMum4 Such a lovely bump already!

ew1990 · 05/09/2020 19:18

@photomum4 what a lovely bump. Mines not changed from the last picture I posted. With DD I didn't get a noticeable bump till around 23 weeks.

RosieJess91 · 05/09/2020 19:29

@PhotoMum4 that's about how big I am at 9+5 weeks! Its insane, I didnt start showing until I was roughly 20 weeks with my son.
@sakura54 if it is, it'll be hard work, but after 2 losses this year, I'll just be glad they're both healthy! Our house is big enough for 2, so I'm not too worried. We were in a 2 bed flat in April, moved into a 3 bed house, so a lot more room will make it easier.
@SkyBlue20 you're getting close to that mark then, so that could be why they were hurting so much! Could be about to grow again! (Which I'm sure you probably won't be wanting, new bras are so expensive!)

Smilingdonkey · 05/09/2020 19:34

@bubblebon20 Hi sorry just first week back to school and I have never been so exhausted! I'm running from one end of the school to the other between every lesson and lugging a trolley up flights of stairs. I am massive at 14 weeks and so so breathless ! They also don't allow teacher chairs in classrooms anymore either 😩 It's going to be a long 6 months! I did have my risk assessment though and they said they will make adjustments for me so 🤞 they can do enough to make it better!

There is so much to catch up on I don't know where to start!

Congrats to all the new scan ladies and welcome newbies 😊

Xxxx

bubblybon20 · 05/09/2020 19:36

@DanceM1 glad your okay! And mines over the phone!

@SkyBlue20 yes when you put it like that, it does sound really low I guess! 😄 I had my scan on Tuesday, and literally got it today. But they only did my bloods for Down syndrome, so that could be why it was fast as I didn't get tested for Edwards or pautus (however you spell it)

@Sakura54 yeah, it does sound quite low! Which is good :)

Allgirlmum · 05/09/2020 19:37

Thanks everyone for having me but I’m off not really getting involved in much chat as I’m struggling to keep up and your all so close good luck in you’re pregnancy’s lady’s 🙂

SmileyT · 05/09/2020 19:40

@Poppy10121 I feel you with the commute and the office, unfortunately I was classed as a 'key worker' so in work throughout MMC (apart from a few days off after surgery) and through the 1st trimester and it's bloody exhausting... I've done absolutely nothing today and it's been great 🙌🏾

@SkyBlue20 can't wait for next week to arrive and officially on scan week, think I've got it in my head once I'm past that I can really start to enjoy it. Also I'm with you on the crazy boobs, had shooting pains through mine all of Friday 🤷🏾‍♀️ but also I've been much more up for DTD the last week so not complaining about that 🙈 I had a quick read of the NHS website the other day (as I find google so confusing sometimes) and it just said that could have adverse affects sleeping on either side after 28weeks which I imagine will be easier to get in the habit of doing with a big bump so I'm not worrying too much about it now, I'm currently a face down sleeper x

@bubblybon20 great to see another low risk letter arrived ❤️

@Pugprincess good luck tomorrow, bet you're so excited to see your little one again 🥰

@PhotoMum4 yay to another successful scan x

@Sansa87 just remember CB weeks aren't an exact science and if you ovulated on the 16th you're just under 3 weeks from that so if you do want to test again I'd just wait a few days and I'm sure you'll see that 3+

@Allgirlmum not long until you can book a scan as you're around 5weeks aren't you? X

@DanceM1 great news your 16w appt is f2f as they'll probably check HB at the same time, mine is still over the phone as far as I know x

@PhotoMum4 love the bump pic 🥰
