Hi ladies. It went well. Measuring a day behind at 12+4 but baby was curled in a ball so had to do a lot of shaking to get that measurement lol. Managed to stretch out at the end and could see arms waving about. I nearly cried I'm so relieved.
Due date 12th March.

Hopefully I'll relax a bit now. I was so nervous and the lovely sonographer gave me my picture for free. It's £4 a picture at our trust.

@SmileyT my cycles was 28 days regular before the miscarriage last time I did bleed for quite a while after though so I would be very Newley pregnant I’ll ask the gp to refer me for a scan

Pugprincess · 01/09/2020 17:26

Congratulations on your scans @ew1990 and @bubblybon20. Really lovely to see 🙂 ❤️

Poppy10121 · 01/09/2020 18:26

Congratulations on the lovely scans @ew1990 and @bubblybon20 ☺️

I’m wondering now whether to get a private scan at 10 weeks, a month seems so long to wait til my appointment! But I’m also scared to know what’s going on in there.

Furbabymum15 · 01/09/2020 18:52

Thankyou all for your thoughts and wishes. Im OK... Just glad they're going to investigate now to see if there's an actual cause x

SmileyT · 01/09/2020 19:08

@SkyBlue20 I feel you on a busy week and hoping that we somehow fly through into next week and scan time 🥳

@Poppy10121 yay to getting something booked in, even if they are keeping you in suspense about what it actually is 🙈

@bubblybon20 & @ew1990 congratulations on successful scans amazing news to start the week 🥰

@Sakura54 how did DS love nursery? Such a big step but sounds like you both handled it well x

@Allgirlmum yep definitely see if you can get an early scan from referral from GP free chance to see your little bean ❤️

@Poppy10121 I've had 3 early scans so I'm a definite advocate for them 🙈

DanceM1 · 01/09/2020 19:35

@bubblybon20 @ew1990 how lovely are your scans!! Congratulations!! 💕

I have a full on bump now... its honestly really grown overnight! Is that even possible?!😂

Hope everybody is OK. I'm absolutely exhausted after our first day back and the children don't even start until tomorrow!! Feeling so much less sick though... even eaten meat the last 2 days which I haven't touched for a couple of months!

SkyBlue20 · 01/09/2020 19:44

@RosieJess91 Definitely keep chasing and keep explaining why you’re so anxious to be seen, it’s ridiculous you haven’t heard anything yet! I do think that, generally, the woman’s feelings aren’t thought about in a lot of early pregnancy - I know things are done when they are for a reason but it’s such a terrifying time, especially after loss, I just feel like there could be a bit more compassion.

@bubblybon20 Ahh yes I was going to ask about the NT etc, hope you get a reply from them after the extra bloods. Sure all is perfect though 🥰 I can’t believe you’re 16 weeks next week! I feel like although it’s felt like forever, it also feels like about two days ago that we were all four and five weeks and now here we are!

@Sakura54 Loving the list of queries 👌🏼 Glad all went well with dropping your son at nursery! How did he find his first day? And how did you find it?

@ew1990 Ahhh congratulations! Yay to another successful scan and what a lovely pic. Sweet of your sonographer to give you the pic for free - it’s £5 for one at my hospital, too. I remember saying to DH last time ‘how many shall we get?’ and he was like ‘ummm, one?!’ and there I was planning on spending our life savings on one for us, one for each mum, one for my dad... 😂
Yours is another due date I like as it goes 1,2,3,2,1. I have a weird thing with dates, clearly 😂

@Poppy10121 If you think a scan would help then I’d recommend one - although I’m still nervous I do feel better after having had my successful scan at 9+6. I know things could still go wrong but it’s just an extra reassurance, isn’t it? Plus a healthy scan at 10 weeks makes the odds so much more in your favour!

@Furbabymum15 Glad you’re doing ok and that they’ll now investigate. Hope it’s all done quickly and you can start to try again soon. Thinking of you xx

@SmileyT it’ll be next week before we know it - it’s already almost Wednesday 😆

SkyBlue20 · 01/09/2020 19:56

@DanceM1 Yay to bump! I wanna see a bump pic! Glad you’re feeling a bit better. Not surprised you’re exhausted though, take it easy and get an early night. Just a few more days and then it’s the weekend.

Workingmama1 · 01/09/2020 20:06

@ew1990 brilliant news for another good scan!

I booked a scan for Thursday! Will be 9 weeks or 8+5. It's funny how early on every day matters, I feel cheated that my scans so far have put me back 2 days!

Wow for a bump @DanceM1! Has it gone hard instead of squishy now?

Glad they are investigating now @Furbabymum15. It's crazy that you have to go through so much before they will do anything. Some of the initial investigations are so straight forward they should do them after 1 MC I think.

DanceM1 · 01/09/2020 20:15

@skyBlue20 thank you 🥰 im planning to be in bed by 9! Ill have to take a bump pic tomorrow to show you! How are you feeling?

@ew1990 my hospital gave the scan pics free too... they should be £5 each so when she asked how many we wanted I said just 2... should have asked for more 😂 i assume its because my husband wasn't allowed in. Were your husbands/partners allowed?? @bubblybon20

DanceM1 · 01/09/2020 20:21

Sorry @workingmama1 I missed your post. Yes its hard rather than squishy! Im only 14 weeks on Thursday so its still early 😬 Very strange but exciting! Im worrying that I will wake up one morning and it will be gone 😂 I've got a pregnancy pillow coming this week too... I'm not good at sleeping on my side and need to get into good habits!

bubblybon20 · 01/09/2020 20:27

@DanceM1 no mine wasn't allowed in! But she gave me 4 photos for free. On the letter it states 2 for £10 🤣
What pregnancy pillow did you order? I've been looking as I also struggle big time to sleep on my side! 😫😫

@SkyBlue20 I know! It's so exciting for us all 😍😍😍😍

Poppy10121 · 01/09/2020 21:03

Good luck for Thursday @Workingmama1 I have a good feeling for you!

I just had a look at the local Window To The Womb and they’re getting pretty booked up so I’ve just booked a scan for 2 weeks from now 🤞

I’ve given myself awful indigestion this evening and feel like I might throw up, was starving when I got in from work and felt almost sick from hunger but then ate loads and now feeling really sick again!

SkyBlue20 · 01/09/2020 21:12

@Workingmama1 Exciting about the scan! Hope it’s an early one so you’ve not got all day waiting. You’re so right that every day matters early on - I was annoyed I got put back by one day 😂

@DanceM1 I’m not too bad, thank you. Got a good sleep last night which always helps and I’m still getting some nausea when hungry but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was. I’m quite confident it’s a natural easing off of symptoms but it does worry me sometimes, mainly when I get aches and pains and my mind takes me to a dark place. Overall, I’m ok though ☺️ Have a good sleep - am heading up to bed myself soon, I’ve realised I need at least nine hours at the moment!

I’m a front sleeper but have been trying to get in to the habit of sleeping on my side. I’m finding that I wake up early and then I can’t sleep again properly as I’m on my front and then tossing and turning trying to stay on my side plus by then I need a wee but am too sleepy to get up so I’m lying there uncomfortable and I get really warm and need to open a window... it’s not the most relaxing of wake ups for me most days now and I think it’s mainly the worry of side sleeping 🙈

My boobs have also gone absolutely huge - i’d already bought a few new bras thanks to their growth and now I’m growing out of them and need new ones again. If they carry on at this rate I’ll be lugging two watermelons around by March!

SkyBlue20 · 01/09/2020 21:13

@Poppy10121 Glad you booked a scan ☺️ Hope the sickness dies down soon!

Poppy10121 · 01/09/2020 22:02

@SkyBlue20 your description of the early morning wake up is so similar to mine! Plus eventually getting up for a wee which wakes up the cat who thinks it’s breakfast time and it’s all downhill from there 😹

Pugprincess · 01/09/2020 22:23

@Workingmama1 totally relate to the feeling robbed of days at a scan! I really hope I see some progression on Sunday. The last scan that set said 5+6 and this one is 8/9 days later so does baby need to be measuring 7+1 ish or is it not an exact science? As in it might have only grown by a few days in all that time? Worries me xx

@Poppy10121 I’m really struggling with eating. On the one hand I’m starving half the time, feel sick with hunger, but now when I eat if I eat too much I feel really bloated and like I could throw up. I think it’s little and often for me for now and smaller dinners as I had to leave some tonight. I’m so round today it’s unreal.

@bubblybon20 Late is ok, better than early. How late were you? Are your boys still big? I’m scared I’m going to have another preemie due to my split womb. I’m going to find out the earliest they will give me a ELCS, otherwise it’ll be another EMCS if I go into labour early again!

It’s interesting how gas bubbles feels just like early kicks, don’t you think? I’ve been gassy recently and my stomach is bubbling and noisy. Apparently you can start feeling kicks as early as 16 weeks but we’ll see about that.

@ew1990 That’s a nice pic! I think it’s only free as partners aren’t allowed. I got given 2. With DS I paid £5 for a crappy pic then again for the next scan.

@SkyBlue20 @SmileyT He didn’t want to leave! I expected them to get him ready for my arrival or at least let him know but nope. I clearly don’t know how things work lol. They praised him to me and were surprised it was his first ever day in a nursery because of how well he behaved and how he was with other kids, which was nice. Would be good if I could spy on him and see for myself. I went home and suddenly it was time to pick him up just like that.

Let’s see this bump! Yes, it’s possible to just ‘pop’ as they say. Never experienced it myself but I can imagine it's a bit shocking? @DanceM1

bubblybon20 · 01/09/2020 22:55

@Sakura54 my eldest was 41 weeks exactly and weighed 8lb 3.
My second son was 40+4 weeks and weighed 8lb 8.
The heaviest born is actually the smallest his really petite! My other son is standard height and weight for a 6YO.
Hopefully you don't have another prem, I can imagine the extra worries and stresses! But hopefully you get some answers :-)

YES!! I keep getting little bubbles, but It's defo wind! I hope I feel something in the next couple of weeks! 😍

ew1990 · 02/09/2020 06:39

@sakura @bubblybon20 I definitely felt movement with DD at 16/17 weeks. Felt like a little goldfish flopping 😍

Thanks for the congratulations everyone

Dipsy77 · 02/09/2020 09:24

I have my scan date it's the 15th September at 2.30pm. It's at a different hospital because it's twins but only 10 mins away. The date I didn't really want as it's my dds first birthday but I'm not rearranging as it's taken me ages to sort this one out. It took another half hour on the phone to admin this morning before it got sorted. I'll be 14 week so hopefully nice clear pictures xx

SkyBlue20 · 02/09/2020 11:08

Morning all!

@Poppy10121 Oh so sorry you have the disturbed mornings, too! Mine started at 5:30am today 😒 I'm lucky in that our cat is lazier than us so she doesn't really bother until we've been up a while - though she does have her nights of waking us up at 4am, demanding to be let out (we have to lock her upstairs, with food, at night as she broke her catflap and kept bringing mice in 🙄)

@Sakura54 Ahh that's so lovely that your son enjoyed it! Is he excited about going back again? Must make it so much easier for you knowing he had a nice time.

@Dipsy77 How typical that your scan is on the one date you didn't want! Glad the date has come through though and you have something to look forward to - shouldn't be too long out of your celebratory day, either, with it not being too far away ☺️ It is frustrating having to wait so long for the scan but at least it means it's closer to next milestones and pictures should be even clearer!

Loving all the movement chat, I can't wait for that - will be nice to have something to indicate that the little one is ok (though I know it comes with its own stresses!)

This time next week I'll be in my scan! 🙈 Excited but terrified! It FINALLY feels within reach though! Very crampy today, which isn't helping the nerves for the scan, hoping it's just one of those things. It's not painful but definitely there. I think some of it might be hip aches, too but hard to tell!

SkyBlue20 · 02/09/2020 13:49

My aches still haven't gone away and I'm starting to get worried 😫 They're not like severe cramps, more of a dull ache all across my pelvic area, but they're definitely noticeable and have been there all day. Hips are aching, too, but that could be from working from bed yesterday and from the couch today, plus not having been for a walk or anything. Trying to tell myself it's probably fine as they're not really painful but they're definitely on my mind. Urgh, I hate this. I love that I'm pregnant and I love that there will be a baby at the end of it (all being well) but I hate the anxieties and over analysis it brings, especially after loss. I just want baby to be here and for us to both be ok. Can the stork just deliver please? 😔

bubblybon20 · 02/09/2020 14:33

@SkyBlue20 hope you're okay! If it helps I had some cramping the past few weeks! Felt like I was going to come on my period, but I've also had hip ache which feels like it's grinding together! Try not worry 💕
