Yh they said they can’t be too accurate at this early stage. I’ve got a private one booked now for Sunday 6th September so will see what that one shows. I got my peak ovulation test on 26th July so I could have released egg sometime from then up to the 28th. Then they said it sometimes depends on how long fertilisation/implantation took too. I just hope it will catch up though as it would reassure me more xx

Workingmama1 · 28/08/2020 20:21

Great news at the scan @pugprincess! I wouldnt worry about the dates everything is so small for them to measure right now! Also if you were only doing opks its possible that you got more than one peak if the egg didnt release first time. Not long to wait until your next scan 😊

I'm so conflicted about getting another scan booked! I want one in a week or two, so that I can go on holiday knowing things are looking ok and I'm not stressing on holiday (we go 2 weeks tomorrow) but I'm also scared that if it is bad news it will either ruin my holiday or mean I can't go well depending on what intervention is needed.

Had an odd day today, we went out for dinner for the second time since lockdown, the last time (and only time) we went to this restaurant I'd just found out I was pregnant in March, it felt weird being there pregnant again. Also got my bookong appointment confirmation letter, it felt like deja vu...

Pugprincess · 29/08/2020 00:33

@Workingmama1 yes that’s a good point as I didn’t test on the 27th as I knew it would still be a peak so yes that could even add another day on. Really hard to date after a MC but I guess that’s why they ask you to wait 😅 Rebel lol.
I got my 5+ on cb on 19th August so I’ve been 5 weeks for ages according to scan 😣 hopefully it will all work out ok.

Tough one for your holiday. I suppose whether you scan or not our worst nightmares can still happen. I mean last time I had that scan and then started to lose it the very next day. Maybe wait until after holiday? Could book one for the day after you return? So that you know it’s all sorted and ready to go.

I know what you mean with having odd days. Because my pregnancy is so close time wise to the last one I’ve had moments where I have to remind myself this is a whole new and completely different baby. It’s like I was preg, took a break and got back to it. X

Poppy10121 · 29/08/2020 07:49

@Workingmama1 I understand your conflict, I am only away for a weekend in the UK but have been terrified in case something happens when I am away from home. I have got some pads in my case! I don’t think there’s any harm in trying to arrange a reassurance scan before you go as long as you know it could go either way (it probably is all fine though !!) - so if I was you I’d maybe leave it and book something for as soon as you’re back like @Pugprincess suggested?

SmileyT · 29/08/2020 08:59

@Workingmama1 I'd personally opt for booking a scan before I went but that's because I wouldn't want to have the anxiety of not knowing before I go away. Where are you going on holiday? If you can have a good time without a scan beforehand than that is ideal, as you just get to enjoy your holiday either way ☺️

I had a private scan yesterday and measuring at 11w1, not long until I hopefully make it to the 12week mark 🤞 the sonographer was really nice and one of the first things she said was 'you may be feeling better now because placenta has completely taken over so less hormones surging though your system and all going to baby so don't panic it's a good thing' and then said that NT measurement from the scan would have me at low risk. Thought it was really kind for her to mention those things as think she could tell I was anxious x

Lovely pic @SmileyT ❤️ I really hope I can get the point of seeing a proper baby shape 🤞🏻❤️

DanceM1 · 29/08/2020 10:02

Oh thats really lovely @SmileyT and congratulations! 💕 Great that she mentioned symptoms eating off. Did she tell you what your NT measurement was?

bubblybon20 · 29/08/2020 10:13

@SmileyT lovely scan picture! So glad it went well :)

bubblybon20 · 29/08/2020 11:17

Eughhhhh feeling awful today! Apart from my tummy feeling hard when I was lying in bed.. this was a good thing to me 🤣 I feel drained as soon as I got out of bed 😞 like headburn and can't even think of eating as everything tastes weird 🙈

DanceM1 · 29/08/2020 11:39

Oh dear @bubblybon20 that doesn't sound good. How many weeks are you now? I'm feeling really good today... kinda wish I wasn't 🤣

bubblybon20 · 29/08/2020 11:50

12+5 by LMP. But private scan was 13+5 so who knows!! 🤣🤣
It's good some symptoms have returned. Hope you get some back too 🤣🤣🤣

ew1990 · 29/08/2020 12:10

@smileyt aww cute scan!

I also feel weird today. Sick but not sick. My head feels really full and heavy if that makes sense. I just want to go to sleep 😞

The negative feelings have started creeping back again. I was feeling really positive. Scan on Tuesday and I really don't want to go in case it's bad news.

bubblybon20 · 29/08/2020 12:24

@ew1990 I feel exactly the same way.. even though I only had a scan last Thursday. Maybe that's why we're feeling awful, could be more stress related! 😫 all my private scans I've had someone with me. But Tuesday is on my own, and I think that's making me really anxious 😓

Sakura54 · 29/08/2020 12:52

@bubblybon20 There is no way anyone can feel kicks now. Wind feels the same as kicks to me so that’s what they’re feeling. I’m not expecting to feel anything until closer to 20 weeks so let’s see.

I could do with a Big Mac, it’s been a long while. Must be so horrible vomiting so much but that’s good you kept it down @RosieJess91

The hoover is my weapon. The other night there was a moth so I got the hoover. Good thing I kept the hoover up here as the night after at 2am, I got woken up by mosquito bites so turned on the light and waited a while until I saw it then hoovered it. I have a phobia of insects. Spiders are the worst.

It’s been nearly 2 weeks and I haven’t received my screening results so will have to call next week like they asked me to. Like @Smilingdonkey said, hopefully it means I’m low risk. Those that had scans, what were your measurements?

NT: 1.30mm
CRL: 57.1mm

PhotoMum4 · 29/08/2020 13:04

Very pleased, healthy baby at the scan today. Was so relieved. Private scan so my husband was allowed in too. LMP would be 10+6 but measured 11+2.

Going to tell our immediate family now and wait another week Before going more “public” still terrified something will happen, but know the odds are much more in our favour now with a healthy scan at this point. Just hard not to worry.
WE are having subway for lunch to celebrate as I really fancied it! 😂

Hope you are all doing well.

Smilingdonkey · 29/08/2020 13:32

Two beautiful scans! Congratulations guys 😄 xx

SmileyT · 29/08/2020 14:59

@PhotoMum4 think we will probably end up due date buddies on the 18thish of June, congrats on a successful scan 🥳 I've only told 3people so far, I've not even let myself think about going 'public' but I reckon it's still a couple months off x

@Pugprincess not long until you're next scan x

@DanceM1 no she didn't measure as it was just a babydate scan but she just showed me what they would be measuring and told me that it is definitely low risk at the moment, subject to blood test.

@bubblybon20 @ew1990 sorry you're not feeling great I do think that in the days leading up to a scan the anxiety can be horrible and makes me feel so queasy and puts me off food, hope that it subsides for you both soon

PhotoMum4 · 29/08/2020 15:38

@SmileyT I wish I could keep quiet for longer but my bump is showing a lot and will need to let work know as I’m still being sick several times a day and not sure how that is going to work back at school.

SkyBlue20 · 29/08/2020 18:22

Evening all!

@Pugprincess Yay, congrats on a successful scan! I wouldn't worry too much about the size - it's so hard to measure when so tiny and it's only a few days out, not weeks, so could easily have ovulated later than expected or baby could catch up.

@Poppy10121 Hope you're having a lovely weekend, sounds heavenly. Glad it's not just me dealing with it all by being a terrible friend 😂 Only a few more weeks and I can start being honest again!

@Workingmama1 Do you think not having the scan before you go away will hamper your enjoyment of being away? In that case, get one - if it's good news, you can relax, if it isn't then you'll deal with it depending on the situation but that's a 50/50 chance (actually probably more weighted in the good news camp after one successful scan already). If you don't get one and will be worrying constantly, it's a 100% chance of it ruining your holiday.
Know what you mean about the deja vu, it's so strange being back at the same stage again, isn't it? I figured out that since the start of the year I've only not been pregnant for six weeks... no wonder it feels like forever! Definitely made the most of wine in those six weeks though 😂

@SmileyT Congrats on the super successful scan! Sounds like your sonographer was lovely, too! Almost at the 12 week mark! 🥳

@bubblybon20 @ew1990 Hope you're both feeling a bit better as the day goes on 💕 Completely understand the scanxiety, I think it's 100% normal as one approaches. Sending a big hand hold. I was thinking about my 12 week scan today and how I just can't picture it being good news even though I've now had two scans with good news this pregnancy. It's the thought of being back in the same place as last time, I just can't imagine a different outcome.

@Sakura54 I'm sure the long wait for results means everything is a-ok, they'd have been in touch already if not ☺️

@PhotoMum4 Yay, congrats on your scan and double yay to measuring ahead - that's the dream! Have fun/hope you had fun telling the family 💕

Can we have a roll call of how far gone everyone is now? I'm so struggling to keep up (I have the memory of a goldfish!) I'm 11+5/11+6 today (scans measured a day behind LMP date). I might even keep a note so I don't forget again 😂 So not excited about hitting 12 weeks tomorrow/Monday, just want to know all is ok in there! That said, I was 11+6 at my 12 week scan last time so either way, I'll have made it further than then somehow!

ew1990 · 29/08/2020 18:39

@skyblue20 I feel ok I Think. I just want Tuesday over with. I'm the same as you I cant imagine it being good news. Dont think my mind would let me. On a better note my aversion to cheese has totally gone. I've just ate like 4 cheese triangles 😂😂

I'm 12+2 today going off previous scan.

Congratulations to the ladies with the lovely scans! I love seeing them.

@bubblybon20 hope your feeling a bit better. Just 2 more sleeps. X

bubblybon20 · 29/08/2020 18:52

@SkyBlue20 @ew1990 Thankyou both! I feel so much better! Managed to have some scrambled egg on toast!
Just have a very watery mouth 🤣😫
I'm the same @ew1990 I can't seem to get my mind excited, even if the scan is successful I still have the fear of something going wrong 🙈

I'm 12+5 (going by LMP)
13+5 (going by private scan)

Sakura54 · 29/08/2020 19:05

Had my Big Mac plus fries, milkshake and apple pie. It was scrumptious and much needed.

@SkyBlue20 Same here. I’ve been pregnant for most of this year apart from January and May, although if you count LMP then I was pregnant in those months too!

Once we all have our scans and update the list, it’ll be easy to keep track! I’m 13 +6.

SkyBlue20 · 29/08/2020 19:13

Glad you’re both feeling a bit better, @ew1990 @bubblybon20!

@Sakura54 Very jealous of your McDonalds! We’ve just ordered a Chinese 😋 I am loving using pregnancy as an excuse to eat crap but really must stop when this nausea subsides and start doing some exercise again! I’m not even feeling that bad today (thanks to my 11 hours of sleep last night!) but fancied it so there we go 😂
You’re right, will be much easier to keep track once we have a due date list!

I know what I meant to ask...is anyone else getting really hairy?! I’ve always been hairy (I’m olive skinned with thick, dark hair that grows super quickly) but it’s getting ridiculous, I’m having to shave my legs and underarms daily (used to be able to get away with every other day) and wax my top lip a lot more often and a couple of days ago I noticed my stomach is getting really hairy 🙈 I’m going to look like one big ball of hair if it carries on at this rate for the next six months 😂 I guess it’s just the hormones and it’s normal but crikey!

Pugprincess · 29/08/2020 19:17

Thank you for the reassurance and congratulations @SkyBlue20
Regarding dates if I go by yday scan I’m 6 weeks today.
If I go by the latest I could have ovulated from the opks then maybe 6+4 ish. Really hard with no previous AF date 😅🙈

Pugprincess · 29/08/2020 19:18

@SkyBlue20 yes I noticed last time all my body hair grew a lot quicker. Be ok for winter 😝 I’m not touching husband with my spotting anyway although touch wood that’s all been good for 8 days now xx
