@Smilingdonkey yay so pleased for you!

@Wishful30 what a day you’ve had, I hope at least your mind is at rest and you can have a relaxed evening ahead, sending big hugs x

@Workingmama1 I’m having some weird discharge too I thought it was linked to the progesterone but definitely yellow.

I’m still waiting to hear from Midwives on booking appt, almost 2 weeks now since my referal. Last time they called within 2 days so not sure what’s going on! I’m getting impatient as I want to get my scan date 🧐

SmileyT · 26/08/2020 19:01

@Smilingdonkey so happy to see another successful scan ❤️

Also loved seeing all your bump pics, it's my first and no bump for me yet, hope it's coming for me 🤰

Sakura54 · 26/08/2020 19:15

@SkyBlue20 I’m only taking Vit D but that’s because I haven’t bothered getting a multivitamin yet. In my first pregnancy I had Pregnacare plus the omega tablet which was a huge struggle as it triggered my gag reflex due to nausea. I then found a Tesco chewable vitamin. Coincidentally, my mum just asked me what I’ve been taking and going on about how in her time the GP used to give free multivitamins.

@ew1990 So you literally popped overnight! That’s interesting. Aw you guys need to show us weekly bump pics so we can see the progression! DH seems to think I’m not going to get much of a bump again but I told him it’s still such early days.

That sounded so confusing but at least they saw you and you have some answers for now @Wishful30

Great news @Smilingdonkey passed 12 weeks!
These NHS scan pics aren’t great but my new one is better than the one with DS which was a small blur. That was a different hospital though.

Those that have had scans, are you getting your screening results at 16 weeks or before? I was told to wait two weeks then call if I don’t hear from them. Hope it’s a good result.

@sakura yeah my private scan pic was much better! Tempted to book another just to get a better picture! 🤣
By screening do you mean the blood test for down syndrome? I was told I would get them in the post in two weeks ...

Workingmama1 · 26/08/2020 20:11

@Smilingdonkey so glad your scan went well! Also interesting you had similar discharge, I had to go to the loo during my gym class to check as I thought I was bleeding but it was just loads of ewcm!

Workingmama1 · 26/08/2020 20:13

@Wishful30 I hope you are home now and can have a well deserved rest, what a day you have had! I've been thinking about you all day x

RosieJess91 · 27/08/2020 09:51

Beautiful scan though @Smilingdonkey! Yay for the 12 week mark!
@poppy10121 I'm having the same issue, I contacted them well over 2 weeks ago and all I've had is a text asking me which place I wanted to meet my midwife at?! No phone calls, no appointments. Feels really behind. I had my first appointment at 8 weeks in February, and they're trying to tell me they always happen at 10 weeks. So confused!

ew1990 · 27/08/2020 10:34

@rosiejess I had my booking appointment at 10 weeks and my scan is 12+5. I thought a later booking would mean a later scan but it didn't.

How's everyone doing? 12 weeks for me today. Never thought I'd get this far. Just hope everything still ok in there

bubblybon20 · 27/08/2020 10:50

@ew1990
currently stressing as I have no symptoms.. the normal 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ how about you?

I had my booking at 8 weeks, and my scans at 13+1 going by my LMP.

Workingmama1 · 27/08/2020 11:08

I'm feeling pretty crappy today! Nausea has ramped up, but alsp feeling dizzy, have chills and random tingling/numbness in my fingers. Anemia did cross my mind as im really tired too, but know that is a normal symptom! My booking in appointment is next Friday so bloods will be done then but not sure if I need to be more proactive about it?

Workingmama1 · 27/08/2020 11:10

@bubblybon20 it might be you are far enough along that symptoms might be easing.... or they could come back with a vengeance later today or tomorrow!

ew1990 · 27/08/2020 11:13

@bubblybon20 same. I had a curry on tuesday. Just a mild one and I found it so spicy. And I'm normally a vindaloo girl. It weren't hot coz my dp doesn't do spice. Then I spent the next 2 days throwing it up 🙈

But apart from that nothing. I'm trying to not think about it

SkyBlue20 · 27/08/2020 11:26

Morning everyone!

@Smilingdonkey Yay, congratulations! Another one past the 12 week mark! So happy for you 💕

@Poppy10121 How frustrating having to wait all of that time! It does seem that everything is slower at the moment, I wonder if it's because staff are off isolating etc, or if they're busier (or both)?! Hope you hear soon.

@Sakura54 That's interesting, thank you - I struggle with big tablets so will check out Tesco for the chewable ones!

@ew1990 Happy 12 weeks! Not long until your scan now 🥰

@Workingmama1 That doesn't sound pleasant! I'd maybe see how you get on for the rest of the day and call later/in the morning if no improvement. xx

I'm not feeling good today - husband was up vomiting between 2:30am and 4:30am (think he ate too much...) then the cat started meowing as soon as he'd gone back to sleep so I just hardly slept all night. Have just been to the shop to get breakfast for us both as we had nothing in, made myself a bacon butty and feel a bit better for it - felt really nauseous this morning. Definitely need to try and fit a nap in at some point 😴

Smilingdonkey · 27/08/2020 12:22

@skyblue husband vomiting doesn't sound ideal! Annoying how he is stealing your sickness 🤣
@workingmama I am also really really tired. Cripplingly so. I really need it to pass soon. I wondered about iron too but nobody said anything. They sent off my urine to check for a UTI as there were signs of one but I haven't heard anything back. I have not been massively impressed with commucation so far. I might go to GP and ask them to test for me ...

SkyBlue20 · 27/08/2020 13:01

@Smilingdonkey He’s stealing all of my symptoms! I keep finding him nibbling on (my!) crackers as he’s feeling nauseous and the other day he claimed he was getting aches in his stomach 😂 Sympathy pains 😂

bubblybon20 · 27/08/2020 13:41

Has anyone had any pains in their arms? Ive googled it and it comes up with carpal tunnel pain.. I've actually had it previously but only when I used to be due on my periods. Now it's like every other day! 😫

Sakura54 · 27/08/2020 14:26

So I puked last night for the third time this pregnancy and whilst brushing my teeth, yuk. My symptoms aren’t improving, if anything I’m more tired but that could be because I’ve been going on walks/out to eat this last week. Also been a bit headachey despite my naps.

I had Nando’s (lots of hot sauce) and ended up with a bad stomach. I eat very spicy food often and it doesn’t usually affect me so clearly things are sensitive ATM. My heartburn seems to be completely gone for now though.

Yeah the screening for downs etc. Lets update each other when results come @Smilingdonkey

@SkyBlue20 Pregnancy vits seem to be massive. I’m not sure if that chewable is in stock as it’s not on the website but there are Pregnacare gummies or liquid you can get from anywhere. I don’t really like the chewables so may just look for a regular sized tablet but the only necessary thing is Vitamin D so as long as we take that baby will be fine.

Where is your round ligament pain btw? I mainly ache below my belly button where my stomach feels hard.

OP posts:
DanceM1 · 27/08/2020 16:55

@bubblybon20 I also hardly have any symptoms now either! Im thinking it just the stage we are at.. really hope so anyway!

Yeyy for a successful scan @Smilingdonkey 💕

I think we get screening results within 2 weeks of the tests. Im getting a bit nervous about it.... hoping not to hear anything yet as I think they get in touch sooner if there is a high risk.🙏🤞

I really feel like im developing a little bump..well I have one. But when I eat my belly instantly balloons!!! The bloat is crazy, I look ready to give birth. And I seem to be getting full more easily.

bubblybon20 · 27/08/2020 16:59

@Sakura54 oooo that sickness doesn't sound too good! Hopefully it all eases off a bit for you! Although it's good that your heartburn has gone!

@DanceM1 ah that's good that you also have less symptoms.. although I had to have a nap this afternoon when DH got home from work. I feel like I've been wiped out 😫 for a headache and feeling icky! Probs didn't help just eating a jacket potato with loads of cheese 🤢

DanceM1 · 27/08/2020 17:10

@bubblybon20 funnily enough I've also just got into bed because I'm knackered so maybe it's just that symptoms are different now as the pregnancy moves on?! I dunno... i'll feel better when I (hopefully if i make it that far) can feel baby moving to reassure me!

bubblybon20 · 27/08/2020 17:14

@DanceM1 I agree.. I was reading on the March thread cause I like to have occasional nose reading other people's stuff 🤣 and they are saying they are feeling flutters and stuff already! I mean this is my 3rd pregnancy this far.. and I haven't felt anything.. can't even remember with my youngest son when I felt flutters.. I just think it's trapped wind 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but reading other stuff makes me panic more 🙄🤣

DanceM1 · 27/08/2020 17:26

@bubblybon20 🤣 I'm pretty sure it must be wind they are feeling?? Everything I have read says "you may think you can feel baby but its not possible until later on". Maybe im wrong though... im definitely not an expert, ive never even been this pregnant before! Dont panic over things like that! Xx

bubblybon20 · 27/08/2020 17:39

@DanceM1 I was thinking the same tbh, when I went for my private scan she said you'll start feeling flutters around 16 weeks.. 🤣 just literally can't wait. Think it'll be so reassuring to be able to feel baby!

Smilingdonkey · 27/08/2020 18:19

Oh I don't think they can feel anything yet ... It will be wind! It's very distinctive when you start feeling it. I didn't until about 22 weeks with my DD as I had an anterior placenta so it was at the front (v common) 😊 xxx

RosieJess91 · 27/08/2020 19:15

I know it's really naughty, but can I just have a moment to celebrate the fact that I've just eaten and kept down an entire Big Mac?! (Know that's not high on the list of healthy things to eat, but needed something easy and solid and man, it was really quite nice...)
