@ew1990 I’ve had a couple of dizzy spells. Was awful this morn when I first woke up, really dry mouth and felt weak and I ended up having a panic attack and ringing my husband at work 😩 I was on edge too cause I had some more brown discharge this morn. It was fine yday all clear discharge but then we went for a long walk at night and I think that might have set it off. So no naughtiness or long walks for me. Been ok rest of today. Felt better after I ate. Back to work on Monday after ages off from lockdown and summer holidays 🙈 I also went dizzy after getting off an escalator, I noticed last preg I used to feel dizzy after stopping my car, like a motion thing. Also this morn something else weird happened. While I was freaking out I went to the bathroom and I could smell a really horrible smell coming from the toilet area?! I was home alone and toilet was clean etc. When I went back it was fine. Wondering if my nose was playing tricks on me? Got a strong smelling rim block and wondering if my brain somehow changed the smell of that as when I went back after it smelt normal again. Has anyone else had this, it was weird lol x

SmileyT · 21/08/2020 19:11

@Dipsy77 shame OH can't come to the scan but definitely think having it at the weekend will relieve some of your scan anxiety for the dating scan x

@ew1990 I was sick today but generally feeling more hungover than drunk 😩

@Workingmama1 read your message earlier and been thinking about sausage rolls all afternoon, unfortunately none close to work or home 😂

Workingmama1 · 21/08/2020 20:14

This bloat is something else! My belly button which did pop early with my daughter (around 15 weeks) has already started to go just because of the bloat!

@Dipsy77 sorry your sickness is so bad, that sounds tough.

@Pugprincess my sense of smell is heightened but constant, not had a random reaction to anything...

Is anyone else suffering with pains in their ribs? Not sure if it's pregnancy related because my boobs have suddenly exploded in size or whether it's because I was leaning over folding washing for too long.
Good news, only been sick once today again, feeling much better, still takes a long time for anything to feel settled in my stomach, but at least I can eat, although it's been a lot of chocolate Shreddies!
Scan pictures all look amazing for everyone so far! Can't wait for that day!! So impatient.
@Workingmama1 I look about 5 months pregnant today as well, so bloated, I can't remember what happened to my belly button with my DS, feels like a million years ago...

Smilingdonkey · 22/08/2020 10:19

Anyone else sick to death of the sickness? I can't bear to feel this nausea anymore. It's so so miserable. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I swear it's getting worse this week 😭😭😭😭😭😭

bubblybon20 · 22/08/2020 11:53

@Smilingdonkey I haven't experienced any sickness, but have read it should start to ease off after 12 weeks! So fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Anyone else feel so so hungry! 😫
I had a curry at 5pm yesterday, but 9pm I felt so hungry, like my tummy was rumbling loads so ended up have fish fingers and chips at like 11pm lol, just feel like I'm not getting full at all, or I'm hungry after a big meal after and 1-2 hours!😫 maybe baby just having a massive growth 🤦🏻‍♀️

ew1990 · 22/08/2020 15:14

@bubblybon20 yep! Had a roast dinner at 5 yesterday by 7 I was starving. For a snack the other day I had mini chicken skewers, 2 bags of French fries, cheesestring, snickers a bouny and a yoghurt. I just couldnt stop 🙈 I need to start eating healthy snacks because that was ridiculous

bubblybon20 · 22/08/2020 15:30

@ew1990 that's literally like me! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I do have a taste for fresh mango so suppose that's healthy. And also want those mini fresh carrots 🤦🏻‍♀️

RosieJess91 · 22/08/2020 16:01

I'm having trouble knowing whether I'm hungry or nauseous sometimes. It's awful. I'll eat some food, keep it down and then 2 hours later, I honestly can't tell if I really need food or need to throw up!

PhotoMum4 · 22/08/2020 16:02

Hello, I’m new! 👋
I have been reading though this thread and the previous one, feeling the same as so many of you.

I am 10 weeks tomorrow, previous pregnancy ended with a MMC, detected at a 9 week private scan (on my birthday 😭) but baby had stopped developing at 7ish weeks.

I have a 2.5 year old son from my first pregnancy.

I am having horrendous morning sickness, I did with both other pregnancies too, and with my son it lasted until the day he was born, hoping for less sickness this time.
Was prescribed ondanstron for sickness with 2nd pregnancy and as a result to scared to take any anti sickness this time, but have tried EVERYTHING!

Had bleeding while on holiday at 8 weeks for about 3 days, went to EPU and they did a scan. I was so sacred they would say no heartbeat after last time, but sonographer said all fine. Phew! Although already worrying something has happened since then 😢.

We have a scan booked for next weekend as I’m huge already! And due back at work and hiding this bump is going to be impossible. Hoping for a scan at 11 weeks with a heartbeat 🤞🏻.

Nhs scans seem a bit behind will be nearly 14 weeks before I have my “12 week scan”.

Spending some days in bed as feel so sick when uptight.

@skyblue20!!!!!!!
www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/new-dads-bolton-can-finally-18809281
Partners are allowed in for ultrasound in Bolton from yesterday. I'm really hoping it means my husband can come in with me on Monday but not sure if it applies to EPU scans or not. I might ring them on Monday to check.

@PhotoMum4 welcome!

Workingmama1 · 22/08/2020 16:15

My nausea has eased a bit today which obviously then has worried me, but still got the tiredness as I've just had a 1.5 hour nap. Food adversions still there, I'm hungry but just dont fancy anything. Today I've half a bowl of special K, three cheese twists with some tomatoes for lunch, and a snack of half a pack of jaffa cakes, so unhealthy!

bubblybon20 · 22/08/2020 17:08

@PhotoMum4 welcome and congratulations on your new pregnancy!
Really hope this week goes fast for you, we can all relate to the horrible wait 🤦🏻‍♀️ in regards to the 12 week scan, mines also around 14 weeks think it makes it such a more nerve wracking wait than the 12 weeks itself hahaha!x

ew1990 · 22/08/2020 17:26

@photomum4 congratulations and welcome.

We can all relate to the anxiety. It's awful. I'm well on countdown mode till my scan. I honestly can't wait to get these 1st 12 weeks out of the way!

Smilingdonkey · 22/08/2020 21:13

I am eating so much - I'm such a pig 🐷! It's the only thing that helps the sickness. Last time it went on until 15-16 weeks 😩 and then came back again at the end 🤢 for a few weeks. It hasn't been quite as bad as that so I'm hoping it will begin to ease soon. I actually find it makes me really depressed 😩 I have my 12 week scan on Wednesday 🤞 but no partners allowed still ... Xx

SkyBlue20 · 22/08/2020 22:34

@Workingmama1 you’ve just made my week! No, made my year!! I don’t think I realised how much I wanted DH to be at the scan until I read that and almost started crying (happy tears)! Hope it counts for EPU for you, too. Realised I’ve been to the hospital so much that it feels like a second home now but the only time DH has been allowed in was for my booking appt last pregnancy, which was in Feb. It’ll be so strange but so nice having him with me. Also especially glad we didn’t choose our local hospital now, too 😂

@ew1990 I get a bit dizzy if I stand up too fast, need to take it slowly otherwise I end up gripping the wall.

@RosieJess91 Glad you’re still feeling a bit better and the medication seems to be helping!

@Dipsy77 Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

@bubblybon20 I’m definitely eating more but I think a lot of it is to stave off the nausea. When I’m hungry I’m STARVING though, like I need to eat that minute. Also LOVING fresh mango.

Welcome, @PhotoMum4! So sorry for your loss but so glad you can join us here 💕

Overall, I’m feeling much better day-to-day but I do still have bad nausea when I’m hungry, am more tired than usual, have slightly sore boobs and some food aversions so I feel like it’s a natural tapering off of symptoms rather than anything to be worried about - last time, my symptoms just stopped quite suddenly and I convinced myself it was ok but it obviously wasn’t. 11 weeks tomorrow based on LMP, 10+6 based on scans.

PhotoMum4 · 23/08/2020 07:18

I only feel “well” when I am eating, but regret it by the time it hits my stomach. Nausea is worst in the morning and late at night/through the night, at these times I feel I could vomit at any instant. The rest of the day it’s still there but not as severe. I am hoping it will ease soon, but it’s not showing any signs of improvement yet. With my son I was holding on for the ease of sickness at 12, then 16 then 20 weeks and it never came. Looking back I was def depressed as a result of feeling so dreadful all the time.

I also felt like a failure all the time, like I should be enjoying the pregnancy and just “ignore” it etc but it was so draining.

Hoping to keep a closer eye on how I’m feeling this time.

Workingmama1 · 23/08/2020 13:12

@skyblue20 I just had a look at Bolton Hospital's Facebook and it seems the message is confused, some people still being told no partners and maybe only for the anomaly scan? Hopefully they will clear it up soon.

My nausea is back a bit today which I'm celebrating, I don't seem to get hungry, more the opposite I have aversions to pretty much everything so struggling to eat.

@photomum4 hopefully the nausea won't stay for your whole pregnancy this time round! But if it doesn't I think it's totally OK to not enjoy every second of being pregnant if you feel awful.

DanceM1 · 23/08/2020 17:29

@Dipsy77 hope your scan has gone well!!

Sorry for those of you who are feeling awful with sickness! It must really get you down 💐

I've had a bit of a dodgy stomach the last couple of days and have had quite a few aches and pains today. Trying not to freak out too much but its so hard with my scan being tomorrow. I just keep thinking I can't possibly get lucky enough to make it past the 12 week mark 😫

PhotoMum4 · 23/08/2020 18:18

Anyone else suffering with lots of trapped wind type pain? Everytime I eat, I get pain in my stomach.

Rutennotou · 23/08/2020 18:30

Hi ladies.

I am currently 5 weeks 4 days pregnant after a MMC in February - discovered at my 12 week scan, stopped growing around the 7 week mark. I feel my symptoms starting to kick in now but I can take zero reassurance from that at all Sad I had really bad nausea the whole way until 11 weeks last time.

I have a private scan booked for September 4th when I'll be 7+2. I'm just finding it hard to relax at all after thinking last time everything was completely okay, spending 5 weeks being excited and making plans when the heart had already stopped. Sitting at my booking appointment at 8 weeks having already miscarried and none the wiser.

Hopefully it all works out for us all this time.

RosieJess91 · 23/08/2020 18:39

Thanks @skyblue20 they work the majority of the time, don't get me wrong, still feel awful, but glad I can eat!
I just have funny pains and niggles constantly, whether my tummy, boobs or my side's, always something feeling a bit strange. Anyone else suffering with some weird itchy feel, but inside your tummy area? Sounds bloomin' bizarre, but I feel like I need to scratch my insides, I don't know if it's some weird form of stretching pain?
Also I swear my stomach is getting harder already, rather than the squishy bloated feel it had before, but at 8 weeks, way too early!

SmileyT · 23/08/2020 18:50

@Dipsy77 hope the scan went well today lovely xx

@PhotoMum4 my wind was awful for the first month, sometimes I'd think I was having cramps but turns out it was just trapped wind 🙈

Welcome @Rutennotou I think we all understand the anxiety around a pregnancy especially after a MMC. Try and remember that the odds are in your favour that this will be a healthy pregnancy, will this be your first? x

Smilingdonkey · 23/08/2020 18:53

@photomum4 it really is miserable isn't it. I hate being pregnant. Hate it. I genuinely found one of the worst things about the miscarriage was that I would have to do those 13 weeks again. I know it makes me sound ungrateful but last time I spent the pregnancy feeling anger and resentment towards the baby and then insane guilt! This time I'm going to accept the misery of it as just part of the journey and not feel guilty!

Dipsy77 · 23/08/2020 19:21

Hi all,
Scan went well feeling more relieved now I'm between 10+1-10+3 and it's twins !!
Think I'm going to have my hands full with 3 under 2. Trying to calm my excitement because I want to wait until 12 and 20 week scans but still in a bit of shock. She struggled to get a good picture of them both together as they were moving all over the place and in awkward positions so were really hard to measure but heartbeats were nice and strong xx
