Great news @bubblybon20! Love the face on picture, you don't normally get one like that ❤

ew1990 · 20/08/2020 19:18

@bubblybon20 yay!!! That's ace!

You've made me feel so much better about having no symptoms x they disappeared around 8 weeks and I've had 2 scans since then and all been well but you still worry x

bubblybon20 · 20/08/2020 19:34

Thankyou all!! @ew1990 honestly I've not had hardly any symptoms! So doesn't always mean something bad! 😍😍

Poppy10121 · 20/08/2020 20:38

Ahh @bubblybon20 that’s a lovely picture 💕

I’ve had a busy couple of days at work after taking Tuesday off for the stress around emergency scan!

I’m still getting pains in one side near hip bone, they get worse when I bend forward. It’s so weird and Google throws up everything from a hernia to kidney stones to just a pulled muscle - so I think i need to stop googling and just wait to see if it improves!

bubblybon20 · 20/08/2020 20:52

@Poppy10121 could be a cyst! I have one on my left side, and also experienced this at the beginning! Hope you're okay xx

Poppy10121 · 20/08/2020 21:40

@bubblybon20 oh that’s interesting! Are they able to see it on a scan? I would have thought they’d look for that? Did it go away on its own?

bubblybon20 · 20/08/2020 21:44

@Poppy10121 yes with my first private scan she noticed a cyst in my ovary, but today she didn't looks! She said it could of caused me a fair bit of pain' 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️x

ew1990 · 20/08/2020 21:51

@poppy I second that. I have 2 on each cysts and I get pains on each side. They noticed mine on my first early scan at 5 weeks.

I had 1 with DD too and by my 12 week scan it had gone on it's own. They are common on the ovary you ovulated from.

So I think I've got a little bump! It's there from waking up but it's low down. Like near my pubic bone if that makes sense

ew1990 · 20/08/2020 21:52

I meant 2 on each ovary

bubblybon20 · 20/08/2020 22:02

@ew1990 that's exciting!! Can't wait to start seeing some bump pictures in the next few weeks! 😍

Poppy10121 · 20/08/2020 22:03

Thanks @bubblybon20 I guess it could be that - I would have thought they’d look at EPU when they were checking for ectopic but they didn’t say anything. Thank you for the reassurance though 😘

@ew1990 that sounds promising then if it’ll go on it’s own! I think it’s the ovary I ovulated from cos looking at the EPU scan report it’s much bigger than other ovary. Hopefully it’ll settle again soon, been stressing me out! Congratulations on your little bump 😊

Pugprincess · 20/08/2020 22:14

@bubblybon20 congratulations! That face on scan pic is the best I’ve ever seen in the 2D love it! That’s got to be framed 😁

SmileyT · 21/08/2020 07:43

@bubblybon20 yay to being out of the first trimester 🥳 and what bloody fabulous pictures. I think the private ones always look a bit nicer than NHS because they give you a few more options of pics 🥰

SkyBlue20 · 21/08/2020 08:05

Morning all!

@Workingmama1 congrats on reaching seven weeks and good luck for your scan on Monday! I’m doing the tissue check, too, though, like @DanceM1, I’m not sure why as it wasn’t a sign last time! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Dipsy77 that sounds really frustrating and I feel your pain on being a late 12 week scan, mine’s at 13+3 😤 Trying to tell myself that at least there should be another week or so of growth (🤞🏼) for the picture. I’d highly recommend a private scan if you can face it, it’s nice as your partner can go with you so, if anything, you’re together and if it’s all good, he gets to be there. Then it should take some of the anxiety and pressure off the ‘12’ week scan.

@bubblybon20 Congratulations! And double congrats as you’ve officially made it past 12 weeks! So happy for you 💕

I’m exhausted today! Went for (outdoor) dinner with friends last night and we were just chatting away and before we knew it it was almost midnight so by the time we got home and to bed it was almost 1am, then I woke up at 6 and haven’t been able to get to sleep again since 😫 Husband has very nicely just brought me a cuppa and some toast in bed but I need to move soon as actually have to go to the office this morning for the first time since March (on my own and driving so no concerns about that, it just means having to get a move on!) Ended up telling some of our friends last night as, to be frank, I couldn’t be bothered with all of the lying around not drinking etc and I saw this same group of friends a few weeks ago and had to then so I think they’d have started to get suspicious. We told them about the MMC so they know how nervous we are and they’re very close friends so we thought we’d rather just tell them than make a nice night more difficult for myself. They were so happy for us, it was so sweet 🥰

Happy almost the weekend to everyone, any nice plans lined up? Xx

Smilingdonkey · 21/08/2020 08:12

Hi everyone! I have been away away for a few days and checked out - and now there is so much to catch up on! Lovely scan picture @bubblybon20 🥰 I have my 12 week scan next week when I'll be 12+4. It was meant to be this week when I was 11 +5 but I changed it - I don't want a scan that tells me I'm not yet 12 weeks! I've told work now which is a relief as it was stressing me out. Still feeling/being really sick. I really hopes this goes before I start back at school in September. Dreading needing to run from a classroom to throw up 😩 I'm also slightly worried the kids are going to see my massive bump (honestly I look at about 5 months already) and say 'Woah miss - Had a good lockdown then?!' 😩 I sleep on my tummy and am not sleepily well now as I'm finding that really uncomfortable. Think I will get a pillow at 12 weeks too.
Anyway, love to all ladies and beans/bumps 🥰 xxxx

bubblybon20 · 21/08/2020 09:34

Thankyou all 🥰🥰
@Smilingdonkey sometimes you need to check out a bit! Glad you're okay though, my 12 week scan through the NHS will make me 14+1 based on private scan dates. Still feels ages away 🤣 hope the sickness calms down for you though 😓

@SkyBlue20 bet you feel some relief sharing your news with friends. And it's nice they can now support you! Hope you manage to catch a nap at some point today 💤

Dipsy77 · 21/08/2020 11:20

Thanks @SkyBlue20 @SmileyT @DanceM1
I've booked a private scan for this Sunday at 5pm I couldn't wait and they are doing a half price offer through August so it's only £29.99.
I'm already panicking about it although not too long to wait xx

DanceM1 · 21/08/2020 11:40

@Dipsy77 I'm so pleased you've booked one and totally understand the fear but really hope it goes well for you xx

bubblybon20 · 21/08/2020 11:54

@Dipsy77 hopefully the early eases your anxieties a bit! I've found they have helped! X

Workingmama1 · 21/08/2020 13:10

Hopefully the scan can give you the extra boast to get you through to your 12 week scan @Dipsy77

If all goes well on Monday I will have a dilemma of whether to book a private scan or not. I go away three weeks on Saturday so thinking it would be good to get one before I go so I know everything is OK, but on the flip side I'm worried it will show bad news which would then ruin my holiday worrying about it or having interventions...(which is irrational as a) if it goes well on Monday its most likely that all would be good two weeks later and b) even if things did go wrong it could still ruin my holiday but could be worse if I start bleeding when we are away!).

On a different note I had to pop to Next and they had a Greggs next door so I got my sausage roll! It was everything I've been dreaming about!!!

SkyBlue20 · 21/08/2020 14:53

@Smilingdonkey Good to hear from you, glad all is ok and totally understand you moving the scan!

@Dipsy77 Thrilled that you've booked a scan (and got a bargain!), sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

Ahhh @Workingmama1, that's a hard one! Can you wait and see how you feel as the holiday gets closer? You might have a strong urge for one or may not feel like you need it just yet. Know some places are booking up quickly though (I went to Window to the Womb in Salford and had to book about two to three weeks in advance for the date I wanted!) How many weeks will you be when you go away?
so glad you got your sausage roll, I'm so jealous!

Sakura54 · 21/08/2020 16:05

@bubblybon20 Wow you don’t mess around do you!? Lovely scan, I’ve never seen one like that. Did they explain that special view? You’re only a day behind me so you’ve also made it pass 12 weeks yay! Your dating scan is pretty late but I guess that means less of a wait until the next scan lol.

When are you telling your boys? Do you think they’ll be happy? I can’t bring myself to tell the kids in my family yet. DS has seen my scan pic and thinks it’s a duck because of the shape lol.

ew1990 · 21/08/2020 16:18

Aww @sakura that's well cute!

Does anyone else get dizzy spells.
I keep going dizzy but when I'm sat down. Feel Like I'm drunk and the room is spinning. And I've had weeks of no sickness and spent an hour proper vomiting this morning after smelling an onion in the fridge 😣

bubblybon20 · 21/08/2020 16:20

@Sakura54 it was a spontaneous booking as I wanted to break up the wait!
No they just said it's rare to get such a good picture, but baby kept looking towards me! Which is weird, I was only meant to get one picture with the booking but they gave me it as it's good for a memory.
Hoping to do a gender balloon with my family so will try talk to the boys then, hoping they'll be happy :-) it's a difficult one I think to tell them! 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's mad what funny shapes they can appear like!

Dipsy77 · 21/08/2020 17:04

Thanks all just hope the weekend goes quickly !!
I'll have to go in on my own because we have no one to look after dd, she's only 11 months and due to lockdown hasn't been left with anyone so is very clingy plus my mum is still isolating so she's a no go !
I've been so sick recently I couldn't keep water down yesterday, I only feel ok when I eat it's when I stop that the problem starts although I'm not complaining because it's a good sign, last time my sickness stopped at 7+4, this time it's been the worst sickness I've ever had just hope it's not twins lol xx
