Hi ladies, I was on the original thread for being due Nov. But had a mmc picked up on my 12 wk scan. I just wanted to share with you I am pregnant again only 5 weeks but fingers crossed xx

Pinktruffle · 19/08/2020 20:20

@Furbabymum15 I'm so happy to hear that! All the best to you and I'll keep my fingercrossed for you x

Furbabymum15 · 19/08/2020 20:28

@Pinktruffle thank you... Its lovely to see how you've all progressed x

ChampooPapi · 19/08/2020 20:29

@Furbabymum15 oh that's wonderful news your expecting again. Congratulations 🎉 I'll link to to a thread I'm on for people who are pregnant after miscarriage

ChampooPapi · 19/08/2020 20:33

@Furbabymum15 it might not be your bag but it's been very supportive for me. I had the same as you before this pregnancy and found out at the 12 week scan too. The chances as well for it happening again are literally zero, it was just the most awful luck basically. Really happy to see your update, an April baby how lovely ♥️

@ChampooPapi As soon as I walked in she asked if I'd felt movement before I'd even sat down and said I need to call ASAP if I had not felt anything. My heart rate resting has been around 120-130 and on a gentle walk it'll shoot up to 180 which I mentioned to her along with feeling very unwell lately and fainting and she brushed it off and said it could be nothing and that the blood test will show anything it needs to. She didn't write anything down regarding this. She took my BP which showed my high heart rate and did my urine test and then sent me out the door and said she'd see me at my 28 week appointment.
I was in and out of there in under 5 mins and my partner was shocked to see me so soon as that time included walking to and from the place from where we was parked!

Amyyy1 · 19/08/2020 20:38

@Furbabymum15 Congratulations!!! So pleased for you, I wish you all the best🥰

Kpm7 · 19/08/2020 20:38

@Furbabymum15 that’s lovely to hear ❤️

kkr168 · 19/08/2020 20:40

@Jellycat2020 my midwife said the opposite, if no movements then have a cold drink & lay still for 10 mins, if there's still no movements then I'm to call them

Furbabymum15 · 19/08/2020 21:00

@ChampooPapi thank you and thank you for the link. That's given me hope so fingers crossed this time xx it's lovely to see how you're all getting along xx

Furbabymum15 · 19/08/2020 21:01

@Amyyy1 @Kpm7 thank you ladies xx

Babyhope98 · 19/08/2020 21:02

I’m fine @Kpm7 I rang my partner and let it all out and had a cry 😂 @Pinktruffle Yes I think I was just unlucky with her. I won’t let it put me off going but it easily could to anyone else which could be dangerous for the baby. Such an anxious time especially when it’s your first and you don’t know what’s normal x

Babyhope98 · 19/08/2020 21:05

@Furbabymum15 congratulations !! Pleased for you, I really hope all goes well with your little baby 😇 X

Has anyone been asked or done the glucose tolerance test ? I've got mine tomorrow and just confused as to why and if I should even go. Usually they do it around 28 weeks which I'm not, or if you have a high BMI or glucose in your urine which I have neither of

Kj1010 · 19/08/2020 22:05

@Dee96 I have to have one but havent yet due mine I do believe in september time but wen I spoke to midwife she gonna find out if I can have b4

chubbyhotchoc · 19/08/2020 22:16

@Dee96 they do it after 24 weeks. I'm meant to have it next week but postponing until the week after. I'm having it because my dad is a diabetic.
They do it if you have any of these risk factors for gestational diabetes.
are overweight or obese
have had it before
have had a very large baby in a previous pregnancy – 4.5kg/10lb or more
have a family history of diabetes – parent or sibling
have a South Asian, Black or African Caribbean or Middle Eastern background
If you haven't got any of those it might be a mistake

kkr168 · 19/08/2020 22:17

@dee96 They do the glucose test for a number of reasons, not just high BMI. Other reasons I'm aware of are age, gaps between children, previous big babies, family history of diabetes, there's probably more too

NaomiB79 · 19/08/2020 22:18

@Dee96 I have mine on Friday I'll be exactly 28 weeks then. I'm not sure why either but I was told from the start I would be getting it then. For me I think it was because of my age (I'm 40) and my weight but that was never really explained. If age and / or weight might not be a risk factor for you then I'm not sure why you'd need it either, unless in some trusts it is just standard procedure at 28 weeks.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 19/08/2020 22:32

@Dee96 I just had one at 25ish weeks - there was every kind of lady in the waiting room having one.
Mine came back all fine which I was glad about - I have ;bebop

nearlyamummyof2boys · 19/08/2020 22:33

Sorry my son lent on phone and sent that one before it was finished 😂
I meant to say quite a few of my friends had them when pregnant I think they test a lot of women for it.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 19/08/2020 22:34

My BMO was borderline of the cut off but the midwife said just to get it incase
