I did the free 2 hour Baby Academy course last week which was great as a FTM. It was all on Baby Care and we learnt loads. I’ve since signed up to their full day course which was £99 and covers labour, birth, the 4 trimester and baby first aid. Seemed better than the NCT courses for me.

MrsR87 · 14/08/2020 19:21

I also did the two hour free Baby Academy course online and would highly recommend. Me and my husband did it and as first time parents we learnt loads!

MnM156 · 14/08/2020 19:24

I loved the Baby Academy course as well. Booked their full day course for £99 as well.

Thanks for the recommendations I've just signed us up for the 2 hr Baby Academy class for next weekend.

Ladies who are having boys, how cute is this? I picked it up for my friend who is having a boy. I think it's gorgeous

@chubbyhotchoc so cute! I’d have loved that for my first! I keep forgetting to check Nutmeg, I’ve had a few nice things from there too!

nearlyamummyof2boys · 15/08/2020 09:03

@chubbyhotchoc that's gorgeous!
My In-Laws live right next to a massive Morrison's so a lot of DS1s first clothes came from there and I loved them all - will be definitely using them when we move up.

peachypetite · 15/08/2020 09:29

Some of the matalan babygrows have great reviews on the website.
Ugh I’m tired. Didn’t go to bed until midnight because was at a friend’s house for dinner and still woke up at 6am. I can’t get back to sleep when I wake up early.

I have that problem too @peachypetite and I often get up early to go for a wee.

Anyone else find if the baby has an incredibly active day, it's quite quiet the next day? I've only had a couple of kicks today but the baby was going nuts yesterday. I actually thought yesterday 'I bet it'll be knackered out and hardly move tomorrow' and that's exactly what's happened!

Kj1010 · 15/08/2020 19:13

Wow just seen my boy move for the first time today so his kicks must be getting stronger 😀

Pinktruffle · 15/08/2020 19:26

Aww that's great @KJ1010, it's such a great feeling!

peachypetite · 15/08/2020 19:34

@Pinktruffle baby ha been so active today whereas yesterday hardly a peep. Is anyone else finding their legs are getting exhausted if they are on their feet for too long? I’ve done a lot of cooking today and honestly my legs are killing me now.

OP posts:
Pinktruffle · 15/08/2020 19:54

I was the same yesterday @peachypetite, I steamed the floors, did a lot of cooking and went for a short walk and my legs were done for and feet were quite sore. They didn't swell but defo sore. All back to normal today but I feel shattered for having a busy day yesterday. I'm currently sat in bed with a Twix and a cup of decaf tea.

I'm starting to get crampy legs a lot in the mornings too from around 6 am onwards.

Kj1010 · 15/08/2020 20:10

It certainly is a wonderful feeling I also get knackered after a walk tidying up etc and the cramps I get them around 2/3am every night grrrr

peachypetite · 15/08/2020 20:16

Yeh no swelling but I am definitely getting tired a lot quicker. I think I need to get on with decluttering the house before I hit third trimester!!

Pinktruffle · 15/08/2020 20:26

We are slowly getting on with doing ours but space is of a premium so it's tough. We will need to move before (if) we have a second baby but now isn't the right time unfortunately.

Can I ask, has anyone else put their cot up yet? We were due to do it today but someone has told my husband an old wives tale and now he's all paranoid about it Confused

chubbyhotchoc · 15/08/2020 21:09

Have we had bump pics this week? 25 weeks tomorrow. Mine seems to be getting smaller (?) but baby seems more active. I nearly fell of the bed last night because she seemed to do this massive roll.

I am struggling being on my feet all day atm, by the end of it they've swollen up so bad it looks like they're someone else's feet attached and my ankles have just disappeared!!!!

@ChampooPapi How are you getting on?? Feel like I have not seen your name pop up in a couple of days! X

peachypetite · 16/08/2020 06:17

I am definitely going to take it easy today!

OP posts:
Pinktruffle · 16/08/2020 06:49

Put your feet up @peachypetite! I was really hoping for a sleep in today but been up since 6 Sad. I feel asleep about 1ish though which is earlier than usual.

peachypetite · 16/08/2020 07:55

I’ve been awake since 5am, woke up for a wee and just couldn’t get back to sleep. Will probably have an afternoon nap. We are almost in our third trimester!!

OP posts:
nearlyamummyof2boys · 16/08/2020 08:38

@peachypetite @Pinktruffle we definitely need more rest! Feet up and chilled out 🥰
I was hoping to make the most of OH bring home and nap yesterday but the day just disappeared!
DS1 and lively this morning and 6.30 and baby in my belly was super active at midnight last night 😴😴😴

One of my legs is a bit swollen and I had terrible pins and needles last which I think are all normal symptoms- I was googling all last night lol!

I have a baby shower to go to today and I'm just so knackered!
Lovely bump @chubbyhotchoc

nearlyamummyof2boys · 16/08/2020 08:43

Is anyone taking a baby first aid course? Now I'm going to have two and an moving I'm keen to take one.

peachypetite · 16/08/2020 08:59

Oh god I’ve been experiencing pins and needles too, in my hands.

OP posts:
nearlyamummyof2boys · 16/08/2020 09:06

Exactly the same @peachypetite in my hands - we went out for a walk to try and get my circulation going.

I've just had morning sickness for the first time in months - made me remember how happy I was when it stopped lol!
