Feels a little bit cooler today thank god!
I've never been so desperate to go outside braless but my boobs feels massive now lol!
Gets whipped off the moment my feet cross the threshold!
I'm still in love with my George maternity leggings sit perfectly on my bump!
@kkr168 I think OH has given up on my being in anything but PJs lol I do have a party this Friday though so might have to throw something new on lol!

@Awkes I definetely get that with my bladder!
I also had terrible 'fanny daggers' last night we went for an evening walk - I always get terrified it's the start of contractions.

Just found out baby is size of a red cabbage which seems huge! I'm 26+1 today!

nearlyamummyof2boys · 13/08/2020 09:18

Ohh I might need to get one of those @Kj1010

nearlyamummyof2boys · 13/08/2020 09:19

@peachypetite I love Sainsbury's pack of 5 big breifs very comfy and unsexy - perfect lol! 😂

nearlyamummyof2boys · 13/08/2020 09:30

Just seen this lovely little pram suit - thinking maybe for coming home 🤩

Kpm7 · 13/08/2020 10:31

@nearlyamummyof2boys love that suit. I have that same hat which my sister gave me from her baby last year.

I am unsure on coming home suit, as we are team surprise.

My friend gave me a good idea. A week or so before baby is due but 2 outfits. 1 boy 1 girl. Then which ever you don’t use take back. 😂😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Xx

Kpm7 · 13/08/2020 10:33

How cute. Pom Pom looks like it could be bigger than the baby’s head 😂

@nearlyamummyof2boys they have some lovely stuff on that website but I ordered a hat from them and it was falling apart at the seams so I don't think the quality is great. They did refund me though

nearlyamummyof2boys · 13/08/2020 11:14

Oh really? Thanks @chubbyhotchoc good to know! I think there's so many sites like that, they seem to look lovely and then totally rubbish when they arrive! It's a minefield

chubbyhotchoc · 13/08/2020 15:48

I think it's cheap stuff with a really good photographer @nearlyamummyof2boys. Ok for a one off outfit but not much more.

chubbyhotchoc · 13/08/2020 15:54

Anyone else struggling with clothes? I've changed 8 times today. If spongebob was pregnant this is what it would look like. Really fed up. Look like a whale in floaty dresses, can't wear shorts because I've developed a huge patch of varicose veins that refuse to be hidden even by makeup. In laws are coming round soon for a bbq and mil always makes comments Sad

peachypetite · 13/08/2020 16:13

I’m changing a lot due to being sweaty but I don’t give a crap what I look like! Who cares if you have varicose veins? If your MIL dares to comment I expect your husband to set her straight. You shouldn’t feel worried about her judging you. Pregnancy is hard enough especially on this heatwave.

chubbyhotchoc · 13/08/2020 16:25

@peachypetite she's 86 and had quite a difficult life so she tends to get away with things because dh doesn't like upsetting her. He just says she's taking without thinking. Maybe lol

Kj1010 · 13/08/2020 16:32

U have gotta wear what makes u feel comfortable screw any one else honestly and if the mil says anything just roll ya eyes and laugh it off I look bad with my big bust no bra top rid right up under belly and shorts under the belly but honestly cudnt give two fucks what anybody thinks dont like dont look simple as long as I'm as comfortable as can be that's all that matters lol

nearlyamummyof2boys · 13/08/2020 16:49

@chubbyhotchoc I know how you feel my mum just came to visit and has to comment - I'm so stressed cleaning the house and stuff in this heat!
I hope it goes ok! I can understand you just wanting to avoid any comment being made!
My thoughts are with you lol!

I've found long dresses are the best thing especially in this heat.
I love this ASOS one.
Remember you could do everything perfect but some people need to make a comment for comments sake!

@chubbyhotchoc feel so sorry for you, try not to let her get to you. If all else fails I’d be taking myself off to bed early with a headache!

I’ve found the above great as a maternitt dress, no zips or fastenings and it’s empire.

OP posts:
chubbyhotchoc · 13/08/2020 20:35

It was ok. Although FIL said I think we'll have to make more room for you. I think I'm overly triggered by people commenting on my body. For some reason pregnancy seems to mean it's a free for all for everyone to comment on women's bodiesHmm

PipTed · 13/08/2020 21:00

I love a maxi skirt and a floaty dress but is anyone struggling with chafing thighs? I can’t stand it!!! I have resorted to cycling shorts under everything that requires a bare leg.

@chubbyhotchoc sorry you’ve had such rude comments! As other posters have said, we need to dress for comfort at this time in our lives. Its a shame that people feel like they can say what they want Without considering that we have feelings.

excitednerves · 13/08/2020 22:05

Hello all! How’s everyone doing? We’ve been in our new place for a week, and we finally have broadband! Wooooo! I’m super excited about bringing my baby home to this house! I feel like I can start buying stuff now.

Buuuuuuuttt, having a super emotional day today. I don’t know if it’s that my husband is away, general adjusting to a new place, general pregnancy hormones but I went to my first appointment at my new hospital and I came home and cried my eyes out. I’m sure it’s fine, it just doesn’t have the same friendly vibe as my old hospital, no chit chat from my consultant, all very formal, I had 3 scans booked at my old hospital and they’ve just said “we’ll see how we go”. Just seems much more clinical and I really miss my old consultant.

excitednerves · 13/08/2020 22:43

@Awkes it’s such a nice feeling being in a new place, congratulations and good luck with the decorating!

Congratulations on your wedding too! It will be lovely no matter what. I think it’s quite romantic getting married so you all have the same name.

peachypetite · 14/08/2020 09:10

I do think there is a lot of crappy baby clothing websites out there, going back to the discussion earlier. I’ve ordered sleepsuits from next and M&S and have been really pleased!

OP posts:
chubbyhotchoc · 14/08/2020 09:12

@peachypetite all my baby gros last time were from next. They washed well plus they have the integrated scratch mitts which are so much easier

peachypetite · 14/08/2020 09:16

@chubbyhotchoc yes! I think my M&S ones do too.

Jellycat2020 · 14/08/2020 09:20

Hi all, got so behind with this thread, just read 10 pages to catch up! 😂
Yes to heartburn, yes to struggling in the heat, yes to feeling like a whale in any clothing, yes to thigh chafing....
I'm 26 + 6 now and generally baby is pretty active which I do love. Big kicks and somersaults which we can see and both can feel!
Which, if any, antenatal classes are people going for? Our NHS isn't doing any. We did the free Baby Academy couple-of-hour course and have signed up to their one-day one. Was wondering about NCT but obviously will be online. Are any going ahead face-to-face??

peachypetite · 14/08/2020 09:28

@Jellycat2020 welcome back. My hospital is running them which is great. I’m going to wait until my scan in Oct to see where my placenta is, if it’s moved I’ll do hypnobirthing by the positive birth company. NCT don’t seem worth the £ and I’ve read quite a lot of negative things on here about them (do a search, so many threads). I doubt any will be face to face to be honest.
Thinking about winter babies and pram suits etc, I saw mentioned quite a lot on here the star wrap as a much easier alternative. Do any of the mums on here rate them?

I have that hat, also have it in blue & the quality seems great, I ordered them from Millie & Ralph but Imagine they all come from the same production line. I have also got a couple of outfits from them, which again seemed great quality.

All the other clothes I've got are a mix of next, m&s, h&m, sainsburys & a couple of bits from boots.
