That's good to know. I did feel her up higher last night when I was in bed so spoke too soon.
I have my ftf midwife appointment tomorrow. I'm annoyed because I e just checked my notes and realised they've got my booking inweight about a stone out which is going to whack out my fundal height measurements. They're supposed to be checking carefully because of my abdominoplasty Hmm how difficult is it to weigh someone and out in the correct number??

kkr168 · 12/08/2020 09:43

@chubbyhotchoc The majority of kicks are around my belly button but I've also been getting what feels like kicks to my cervix, they literally stop me in my tracks!!

Kpm7 · 12/08/2020 09:47

Still haven’t felt any movement.
I woke up worried today but I am staying positive as I am 22 weeks and they said my placenta is at the front and movement can take longer.

peachypetite · 12/08/2020 10:10

@Kpm7 don’t worry I think I only felt movements at 22 weeks too, it certainly hasn’t been long and they are still quite light, definitely no kicks! I’m 24+3 now.

@peachypetite thank you. This chat is really so reassuring ❤️

Bluebell2020 · 12/08/2020 10:53

@Kpm7 I'm 24+ 5 and still have days where I don't feel anything! Anterior placenta with BMI 19 pre pregnancy (I know it can sometimes take longer to feel if you've got a high BMI)

When I do feel the movements they're always same place. about 2 inches below belly button and to the left. If not a bit lower.

Kpm7 · 12/08/2020 10:57

Thank you @Bluebell2020 I don’t know what feeling I am expecting. Sometimes if my belly rumbles or I feel like movement maybe needing the loo I wonder if it’s that hahaha. I’m intrigued to find out. Ahh xx

MrsR87 · 12/08/2020 11:16

@Kpm7

I also have an anterior placenta and have a pre pregnancy BMI of 22.5.

I am 27 weeks tomorrow and have only felt what I would say are ‘kicks’ in the past week. I started to feel movement at around 21-22 weeks but it was very hit and miss and I was questioning whether it was baby or my digestion.

At my 25 weeks appointment my midwife said that within the following 3 weeks or so (so any time now) I would notice a pattern and that it’s at that point I should call the hospital if I don’t feel him. So my bump is very active at around 8am-10am and 6pm-midnight. I do feel the odd kick throughout the day but now that I have a define pattern, if I didn’t feel him all day I would call the hospital. He’s actually strong enough now that you can see my belly moving! Very different to a few weeks ago x

Pinktruffle · 12/08/2020 11:18

@Babyhope98 I have PCOS. It's because your pregnancy hormones take over and for us to have got this far, they are obviously balanced as they should be.

I had a real spurt of crazy hair growth in the first trimester but everything has settled down now and it's less than normal!

Sadly, the effect doesn't tend to last once you've given birth and things will return back to normal within about 6 months of giving birth.

Kpm7 · 12/08/2020 12:00

@MrsR87 that’s very reassuring I also feel like digestion moves and question it. Hahahaha nice to hear you get movement and it’s a pattern ❤️🤞🏼 Hopefully some soon for me. I am 23 weeks on Friday xx

Babyhope98 · 12/08/2020 12:12

@Pinktruffle that makes sense.. yes I think I remember in the first trimester mine was bad, I suppose once the placenta took over it may have changed. Oh well I’ll enjoy it while it lasts 😄

Kj1010 · 12/08/2020 12:21

I'm feeling more movement in day now than I was in last few weeks but all seem in the womb area and sometimes wen lying down near belly button etc not that strong where skin moves though or partner can feel yet last night he was very active or shud I say at 2am lol I'm 23 weeks sunday so one more to go then at the viability stage woohoo my ftf with midwife is the 27th august

peachypetite · 12/08/2020 14:19

I’m honestly melting. This heat is stifling!!! Send help.

Awkes · 12/08/2020 14:35

Hi hope everyone’s doing ok?! Not been on the chat much of late. I’ve been back at work a while now and that plus the heat has be snoring by half 8 most nights.
We’ve been quite productive and got all our furniture either delivered or on its way and just bought a pram last night. Just wanting to paint our flat before we start setting everything up. We’ve also booked our wedding for next month. We’d planned to do a quickie at Gretna and honeymoon in Scotland but now just doing the wedding bit which is a bit disappointing but with covid and baby on the way I didn’t want to wait. Bit old fashioned but I wanted us all to have the same name.
Are any of the ladies who are feeling movement struggling with baby and bladder? I’ve been so lucky with an active baby and anterior placenta but she’s actually doing my head in now 😂 I spend half the day in the loo and it’s just her bouncing on my bladder constantly. I had to sprint home last night and again to work this morning because I got halfway down the road and then all of a sudden was bursting 🤦🏻‍♀️

Babyhope98 · 12/08/2020 14:55

@Awkes I have days where she’s on my bladder and I keep getting jolts where I feel like I will wet myself where she must kick it 😅 such a weird sensation 😂

PipTed · 12/08/2020 15:42

Aww it’s so lovely hearing about all the kicks everyone is feeling. And those that haven’t felt anything yet, I’m sure it will happen very soon!

I’m the same as many have explained on here, I have light flutters lower down but most of the kicks are to the right of my belly button. Assume babies are moving to get their head in the right place? Not sure what position they should actually be in at this stage? I’m 25 weeks tomorrow

NaomiB79 · 12/08/2020 17:55

@Awkes I defo have that issue too. She jumps on my bladder and I feel like I'm going to wet myself but then when I reach the bathroom I often don't need to go! 🙈 😂

peachypetite · 12/08/2020 18:22

Has anyone got good recommendations of maternity knickers?

OP posts:
chubbyhotchoc · 12/08/2020 18:51

@peachypetite would you not just get bigger knickers?

peachypetite · 12/08/2020 18:55

I have been managing with granny pants so far but feel I’ll eventually outgrow them! Should I just go up a size? #clueless

OP posts:
chubbyhotchoc · 12/08/2020 19:03

@peachypetite I would and then
Use them after for period knickers. I wear the Asda stretchy ones with lace and they're very comfy. direct.asda.com/george/women/lingerie/knickers/lace-top-short-knickers-3-pack/GEM733592,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M18G2C2

Kpm7 · 12/08/2020 20:26

@peachypetite I’ve got granny pants. Find up a few sizes 😂

Kpm7 · 12/08/2020 20:26

Gone up * I meant

Kj1010 · 12/08/2020 22:31

Currently sitting in living room with feet in cold foot massager they swollen today from the heat etc

kkr168 · 12/08/2020 23:03

I had the same as @chubbyhotchoc but have found since my bumps got bigger they can roll down, especially when going from sitting to standing & vice versa.
I am now wearing these gorgeous granny pants direct.asda.com/george/women/lingerie/knickers/neutral-full-briefs-5-pack/GEM733395,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M18G2C2
in the next size up, still got plenty of growing room in them.

I've been sleeping in just those & bra's similar to these direct.asda.com/george/women/lingerie/bras/pink-comfort-nursing-bras-2-pack/GEM735095,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M18G2C1 whilst its been so hot, I must look a right state, poor DH!
