Hey,

I just wanted to see how any other first time mums are getting on in their third trimester? I just find it interesting to hear how people are and not feel like the only pregnant woman in the world 😂 I’m stuck in the horrendous Leicester lockdown, so anything to connect with people!!!

I’m 29 weeks today, definitely more clumsy and getting tired now. How’s everyone else?

Hey!

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and in London! Definitely getting more tired throughout the day now - probably caused by lack of sleep at night as up every 1-2 hours for the toilet and then cannot get back to sleep. My NCT instructor said it's nature's way for prepping us for lack of sleep! 🙈

Otherwise feeling pretty well!

How's lockdown in Leicester? 😢

Birdy1991 · 27/07/2020 14:47

39 weeks and 4 days, I’m in Brighton... it’s dragging now! Hope the tiredness doesn’t get worse for you but it has for me 😫 I’m up every hour for the loo and carpal tunnel means I can’t sleep! And I haven’t seen my bits for weeks now 🤣 X

Birdy1991 · 27/07/2020 14:48

Have any of the lockdown restrictions been lifted or is it all pretty strict there still?

mammagmac · 27/07/2020 14:48

Hey @LASandOtto !

My goodness I’ve heard that way too many times 🙈 I feel like I’ll be less grumpy about lack of sleep when it’s to look after an actual human rather than him pressing on my bladder constantly 🤣

Lockdown in Leicester is so so boring! I want to be able to see my parents at least but we can’t even do that yet! Bored of this house 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Birdy1991 hahaha I cant see mine now either 🤣 there goes my days of being nicely groomed 🙈

Only essential travel is allowed but non essential shops can open so it’s a bit confusing 🧐

30 weeks today. Coping fairly well so far, a bit of back ache and my legs get tired after walking for a little while so can’t go very far 😂

Also having broken sleep, either because of needing the loo or needing to switch from sleeping on my left side to right, but I fall asleep pretty quickly.

More than anything I am utterly fed up of working, can’t wait for mat leave in 6 weeks!

mammagmac · 27/07/2020 15:01

I’m exactly the same with sleep!! Needing the loo and needing to switch sides!! Last night for some reason I couldn’t settle on either side at all so I basically didn’t sleep 😴😴😴

I finish for a week of annual leave and then mat leave in 5 weeks and I can’t wait either! I’m still capable of doing my work but I’d much rather not be now I’m getting so tired! Xxx

28 weeks here. Feeling heavy and tired. Trying to enjoy it as much as possible though.

TooFrickinHot · 27/07/2020 15:07

39 weeks and 5 days here.

Veering between hoping the baby hurries up and comes, and thinking 'OMG how will I cope when she does!?' Gradually getting more uncomfortable which is I guess what pushes everyone to the first hope eventually!

GoshHashana · 27/07/2020 15:09

Hey!

I'm 35 weeks, and FEELING IT today. Boobs like rocks, so sore.

I'm in Liverpool, and lockdown is definitely easing here, but I'm still mostly staying indoors.

Slightly scary/exciting to think that DD could arrive in a couple of weeks...

Pwd1 · 27/07/2020 15:10

Hi! I'm 36 weeks today. I've been coping reasonably well up to now. Very broken sleep due to baby squishing my bladder all night but luckily I'm working from home so have had the opportunity to rest more.

Very ready for maternity leave to start, counting down the days now.

Another one who hasnt been able to see her bits in weeks, given up trying to groom now

KitKatKit · 27/07/2020 15:11

Hello! 28 weeks today and wondering if that fabled 'second trimester energy' is going to become third trimester energy, because it definitely bypassed me Smile. Pregnancy in a pandemic has been weird AF...

sel2223 · 27/07/2020 15:20

37+4 and so done with pregnancy! I'm hot, bloated and uncomfortable, the sickness and nausea is back mixed with various cramps, pains and heartburn. I'm literally never off the loo, the insomnia is awful, the baby feels low like she's going to drop out and I've got carpal tunnel in my hands now. It really is such a magical time 😉🤣

Superscientist · 27/07/2020 15:23

37 weeks here.
In general I've had more energy in my third trimester than my first and second last week I think I had a day or so of the mythical pregnancy glow! The fatigue returned over the weekend though.

My bump is quite high still, its good in one way as she isn't near my bladder yet but its is getting uncomfortable having her always under my ribs.

Preach!!! Pandemic pregnancy was not how I was expecting my first child to enter the world 😂

So basically, everyone is feeling equally as unglamorous as me 😂
I do have more energy in the second trimester but I have to say that fabled glow never appeared?!

31 weeks and generally ok bar poor sleep (needing a wee every 90 mins and constant switching sides) and a couple of maternity unit trips due to chronic heartburn..... Due date still feels like a lifetime away, hope the next nine weeks don't drag too much!

KitKatKit · 27/07/2020 15:32

@mammagmac LOL the glow has yet to appear for me too ;)

UrsulaSings · 27/07/2020 15:39

34 weeks today. Been waking up once or twice a night for a wee, which is a pain in the arse as I live in a terrace and the bathroom is downstairs!! Only going to get worse!!

Back pain, swollen feet and hands which make feet painful, much more tired than usual, baby pushing on bladder sometimes and painful to walk sometimes, dodgy pelvis every now and again.

Now I look at it I didnt realise how many things wrong I had! Feel like I've been coping pretty well!

mammagmac · 27/07/2020 21:38

The symptoms do pile up don’t they?! I think we just get on with so much of it we kind of forget why we’re so tired!

Thanks for chatting ladies, needed that today!

34+2, been struggling for a couple of weeks so I dread to think what it's going to be like in a few weeks time! The constant needing to pee, especially at night coupled with needing to change sides every hour - which I can't do because my hips are so painful so I'm like a tortoise stuck on its back trying to roll over in bed! It's a nightmare. Getting up off the sofa isn't fun either. I'm getting really full really quickly at dinner time, I'm often still so full up a few hours later when I go to bed that I'm sick when I'm brushing my teeth. Plus I feel massive and have gained weight all over, nothing looks nice. Oh the glamour! 😂

bluemoon2468 · 27/07/2020 22:05

Hi all 🙋🏼‍♀️ I'm a FTM in London, currently 30+2 with a baby boy. Have really felt myself slow down over the past week or so and am feeling the strain on my body now! Can't really imagine how I'm going to get through another 10-11 weeks of this 🙈

Cookieedough · 28/07/2020 00:58

Hi ☺️

Ftm & Due date next week. I have never been so uncomfortable in all my life lol the rib aches, back aches, constant peeing, insomnia and just feeling the size of a house 😂. Can't wait until my little girl is here but I have a feeling she's going to make me wait a bit longer. Midwife gave me a sweep last week but said my cervix is only slightly open.
I've tried long walks, spicy food, long soak in warm baths but no sign of labour anytime soon. She will be worth all the wait and aches once she's here though! Hope everyone else is coping well and being pregnant during a pandemic hasn't been too hard on them xx

BabyB19 · 28/07/2020 07:00

Another here! 36+2 and I am DONE!
No sleep (currently wanting to punch OH in the throat for snoring) due to peeing, snoring, changing sides, carpal tunnel!
The exhaustion is REAL!
Since 34 weeks when baby dropped PGP kicked in and it is not fun, my advice is get on your balls and keep your hips going, I could have been better with it and am now paying the price. Baby is fully engaged though and has been for a couple of weeks now so hopefully the end is near 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

MrsN2121 · 28/07/2020 07:42

32 +4 and feeling OK at the moment! Get tired some days and occasionally sore hips at night..... I'm waiting for the worse to come!
Can't wait for mat leave!!
