@lastditchattempt20 Hi and Thank you! Congratulations to you too! I know I’m hoping to get a midwife appointment soon so I can find out how far along I am. ☺️

Hi guys and welcome to new joiners Smile. Quite update, got my 3+ on digital. I’m away this week - so no more tests! Still feel something not right and don’t feel pregnant.... maybe it’ll all kick in soon

@Homassy hurray, 3+ is good! How far are you now?

Is it that you don't have many symptoms?

I've been googling whether it's a bad sign not to have sore boobs. The internet says not to worry, although easier said than done

Am sooo bloated... (although also possible I've just eaten too much for dinner! 🙈😂) Are many people feeling sick? I'm not at all, but I wasn't with DD either so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞🏻

Does anyone have any advice on how to get help following previous miscarriages?

I've had 3 miscarriages over the last 2 years. I was referred for fertility investigation after my last in June. And then found out I was pregnant again before I heard anything from the referral (I assume there's a long waiting list).

I called my GP to ask about getting put on progesterone pessaries or aspirin. They said there's nothing they can do because I've not been seen by a fertility expert.

I spoke to someone at the early pregnancy unit at my hospital today, and although very sympathetic said they can't do anything. They can't prescribe anything because I've not had the fertility tests. They can't even give me an early scan because of COVID-19. They told me to contact my doctor again and ask them to prescribe me 5mg folic acid, but that's all they can do. At the end she said, "I don't know what I can say... all I can think to say is the NHS can't give you the help you need." I think she was hinting that I need to go private.

I'm sure I've heard other people are getting early scans with the NHS. Could it just be my area? (I'm in Manchester so the hospital is St Mary's)

Im going to try a private clinic next. But it seems a bit weird.

That was a long post!

I'm bloated too, but think it's because I can't stop eating 😂 Have had the odd bit of sickest but not too bad. Boobs feel slightly sore today, but nothing like I've had before.

@kwastell Hey , I’m 38 had 2 prev miscarriage in a row and I’m pregnant again , phoned the doc and they won’t do anything till I’ve had 3 or 4 consecutive miscarries !! Feels rubbish , I’m now panicking going to the toilet now scared it’s happening again , with COVID they won’t see me for any reassurance scan I’ll need to pay for one , hoping I get that far this time to even get one . So stressful this pregnancy stuff 😅

@lastditchattempt20 I’ve felt so good today, first day in over a week that I haven’t felt exhausted, sick, really sore and bloated. I felt like my normal self today which was really nice but then I worried something was wrong because the symptoms had all disappeared for the day and I did another test 🙈 which was still positive 😁

Hi @Kelsie13. Congratulations 🥳 but sorry about the previous miscarriages. Because I've had 3 I should be allowed the early scan, but turns out not because of the COVID situation (which is understandable, but frustrating as other people seem to be getting them).

I'm the same going to the toilet - hate looking at the tissue incase there's something.

Hi @Kelsie13 welcome to thread! Congrats. @kwastell sorry you're anxious- COVID has made things so difficult for so many people, the impact on people waiting for fertility treatment/investigation could be so significant. I do agree though that the GP can't prescribe anything without a specialist review- without knowing the likely causes of your previous miscarriages progesterone or aspirin could do more harm than good. I do think the receptionist is right that at the moment, the private sector may be only option. Hospital appointments are opening up again slowly though- can you contact any specialists secretaries to find out if/when clinics might start again?
I'm in South Manchester! (waves) Smile Unsure which hospital I'll be at yet though.
Does anyone want to have a list for the group to see who is who and current EDD (if known?)

@kwastell I've booked a private scan in Salford- about £50

@lastditchattempt20 thanks , I’m in Scotland, no nhs scans are the mo. Was told if it happened again I would get referred to an early pregnancy unit for tests to see why it’s happening. I’m hoping for a private scan in 2 weeks time

Feeling 'different' this evening- hoping it's just mood swings. 🤞🏻 Hate this limbo. Hope everyone else is ok.

I have the mood swings too. Go from feeling really calm to all irritable. Normally at my husband 😂

I definitely feel pregnant. Feels like there's something happening down there, especially at night.

Oh @Kelsie13 I'm sorry. I don't think your hcg could rise again from your previous pregnancy. Is there any chance your wee could have been too diluted or a faulty test?
