@GuessHowMuch sorry to ask another question, but how many dpo are you? I just scrolled back through the thread and see your bfp was Friday and your due date is just about the same as mine. In which case wouldn't 1-2 weeks be accurate? I'm 12dpo and my weeks showed 1-2 this morning. Googling, it looked like a lot of people's didn't increase to 2-3 until a good few days after this. 🤞 you're okay x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/06/2021 12:10

@ImpatientTTCer how're you today? How're your lines looking?

ImpatientTTCer · 01/06/2021 13:58

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I’m generally pretty good, thanks! Horrifically bloated (!) but the test line is now darker than the control so I’ve stopped POAS as much (can’t seem to stop completely though). I self-referred on Friday and have received my dating scan appt already! But still waiting for booking appointment. I spoke to my GP for ages this morning, about the vaccine. She was on the fence and said that although most people are generally happy to recommend it for pregnancy, she’s a little hesitant because there’s very little or no data yet. This makes sense....I’ve looked at the timing and the vaccines only started 6-7 months ago. Very few (if any!) babies will have been born yet to mothers who had the vaccine before 12 weeks. So I’m still very unsure and I think I’ll wait until at least 12 weeks. I feel bad about it though, like I’m letting everyone else down by not getting it.

How are you getting on? Xxx

ImpatientTTCer · 01/06/2021 14:01

@GuessHowMuch @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7

I did a digital weeks one at about 12dpo and it said 1-2, it wasn’t until 15dpo that it said 2-3 weeks

GuessHowMuch · 01/06/2021 14:11

Thanks guys 🥰 I’m 17DPO today according to Fertility Friend (I’ve switched off the pregnancy mode on it for self preservation 😅😫). It’s more that my lines started faint at 11DPO and still just as faint at 17. I did a 25miu test this morning and got a clear but faint line so excitedly did a Digital Weeks one and it said Not Pregnant. Just done a final 10MIU test and again a faint line. Definitely, definitely done with testing now 😅 I’ve got appointment with GP tomorrow so hopefully will get blood tests arranged and get some answers. I’m telling myself to have low expectations but a tiny grain of hope.

@ImpatientTTCer I definitely think everyone should have the vaccine where they can but you definitely get a pass when you’re pregnant. So many choices and decisions when pregnant are a total head wreck!

@GuessHowMuch so glad you've got a GP appointment tomorrow! Please keep us posted! 😘😘😘🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@ImpatientTTCer you are not letting anyone down! I had to phone and cancel mine - it was due tomorrow! When I spoke with midwife and vaccine helpline, they were very much supportive of my decision to wait until later in the pregnancy! I'm basing my decision on the current Lancet paper data. 😘

How are we all feeling? I'm trying to be positive here and hope all my fatigue etc are a good sign!

🤞🏻 for healthy happy pregnancies all round!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/06/2021 18:14

@ImpatientTTCer well that's sounds positive! Agreed on the vaccine, I might need to postpone mine for a little bit also as it's meant to be next week. Was thinking 12 weeks - is that what others are thinking?

@M4v3r1ck good thanks! No symptoms here at all, but only four weeks. Hows everyone else?

@GuessHowMuch good luck for tomorrow

M4v3r1ck · 01/06/2021 18:22

Oh that's good re: no symptoms! Maybe you'll be one of those lucky ones! 😃🤞🏻

Lots of fatigue and nausea here, and massive boobs! 🤣

Atm I'm thinking start of third trimester for vaccine - all being well! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/06/2021 18:30

@M4v3r1ck I wouldn't mind the massive boobs! How many dpo are you now?

I guess I'm just a bit worried that I'll be back at work and don't want to catch coronavirus. But maybe so many people will ah e been vaccinated already that I won't!

ImpatientTTCer · 02/06/2021 09:13

@GuessHowMuch thinking of you today - good luck for your GP appointment xxx

ImpatientTTCer · 02/06/2021 09:23

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @M4v3r1ck @GuessHowMuch

Thank you lovely ladies for putting my mind more at ease over waiting for the jab! I’ll review at 12 weeks if all is well, and may well consider the fact I’ll be in a room with 100 people when I get married in August (still haven’t told the seamstress....!)

Maybe I have the flu jab and at least cover off one potential issue 😂 I had to cancel my jab in March 2020 because I had a cold and the doctor took one look at me and sent me away! Told me to reschedule.... now it’s June 2021 😂

How is everyone feeling? I’m yo-yo-ing between constant light hangover and falling asleep at my desk.

Katiekattty · 02/06/2021 09:45

Hi all, I’m finally feeling human. I got W prescription from Omeprazole from the GP and I’ve had breakfast and actually enjoyed it without feeling miserable. It’s jab day for me today, I finally got my booking appointment with the midwife tomorrow.

Katiekattty · 02/06/2021 13:48

So I’ve just come from the vaccine centre. So the lead doctor/someone I forgot the title takes you in a separate room. She was like because it’s such a hot and miserable day and there’s a good chance you’ll feel ill on top of it do you want to wait until after 12 weeks and come in on a day when it’s not so busy and not so hot. Because I’m at home and not taking the train and mixing with people I’m considered low risk. They’d prefer if I wait until after 12weeks when the baby has done all its developing. The information coming out of America all looks promising but they don’t feel like they have enough information for early pregnancy.

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 15:48

That's really interesting @Katiekatty I've been wondering what to do about the vaccine ever since getting pregnant and this has definitely reassured me that waiting until after the first trimester is the right thing to do x

M4v3r1ck · 02/06/2021 18:02

Evening ladies! 😃 How are we all? I'm sooo hot in this heat!!!

@GuessHowMuch how did you get on today? Thinking of you! 😘

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 honestly, I think I need new bras or bra extensions as I'm at the longest setting! 🤣 I am 8+6 according to my apps! 😃🤞🏻

@ImpatientTTCer how far along will you be at your wedding? 😃

@Katiekattty yay I'm so glad you're feeling better! I've had constant low-level nausea, so can't even imagine how awful you must have been feeling! 😘 That's so interesting and good to know re: vaccine - thank you! 😃

ImpatientTTCer · 02/06/2021 20:52

@Katiekattty that’s really interesting about the vaccine, thank you for sharing!

@M4v3r1ck I’ll be just under 16 weeks...so I should imagine there’ll be a fairly good bump to try and fit into the dress 🤔

M4v3r1ck · 02/06/2021 21:24

@ImpatientTTCer oh yes, deffo a wee bump, but hopefully pretty manageable for a good seamstress! 🤞🏻😃

TTCat39 · 03/06/2021 12:22

Hi Ladies, hope you're all doing ok. I've logged on for some solidarity with the old nausea and the, frankly really annoying, extra sensitive nose! I literally cannot open the fridge without gagging! My husband says it doesn't smell of anything, but honestly to me it smells like rotting food and wet metal. I can't stand it! He's searched through and there's nothing awful in there, but I'm going to don the clothes peg this weekend and give it a good clear out. I'm getting some really gentle and concerned looks from my husband as he thinks I'm descending into some sort of mania. Confused
I'm 10+4 now and am hoping and praying that the nausea and super-nose leaves me alone very soon!

Katiekattty · 03/06/2021 12:47

@TTCat39 that’s me at moment but probably not as bad. I bought a prawn salad yesterday and couldn’t eat because all I could smell is fish. My kitten has a really sensitive stomach and we’ve changing his food to fix this. I took him to cattery who on the website stated they fed one food and when I got there it was different and somehow managed to forget to give them his wet food. My husband has to now go downstairs open the window and doors before I can go there and I cover my nose. His poos are evil and it’s even worse because of how sensitive my nose is!

TTCat39 · 03/06/2021 13:45

Oh crikey @Katiekattty I really feel for you there! I'm ok with the smell of fish, but cat poo would really make me queasy.

People on video calls must think I eat constantly, as I'm always nibbling to keep the nausea at bay. But I get full really quickly so I'm not actually sitting down to a full meal at all, so actually taking in less overall.

I think I understand pregnancy 'cravings' now - for me they're not something I just really really fancy, but literally the only thing I can think of that I can stomach! So when I want something you bet I'm off to the shop to get it. This morning it was Wotsits, but guaranteed tomorrow I won't be able to stand the thought of them.

M4v3r1ck · 03/06/2021 14:01

@TTCat39 @Katiekattty oh no! You poor things! You're definitely much worse than me for sure! Feel your pain on the cat poo though - we've got two! 🙈

Totally laughing at the wotsit comment. I literally sat and obsessed over monster munch the other night, then when I thought to go to the shop the next day I was no longer interested! 🤣

Cold food is much better for me and eating regularly too. I find myself getting quite nauseous and it being righted with a small snack, usually fruit! I've also got quite a visual reaction to food too atm!

Will take all of these symptoms for a healthy happy baby though! 🤞🏻😃

Katiekattty · 03/06/2021 15:38

I find eating a tiny amount regularly. Even with medication, the bloating is just awful but at least it’s not painful. I have to go shopping this week, between the bloating and increased boob size I can’t fit in anything.

I just had my booking in appointment and the midwife is lovely. It’s a lot of drama when you’re overweight (thanks covid and cookies). I’m going to be consultant led, as well I’ll need to take aspirin from 12 weeks onwards. I’m waiting for the letter for my 12 week scan now.

M4v3r1ck · 04/06/2021 09:09

Happy Friday all! 😃 How are you doing?

@Katiekattty omg bloating and indigestion here too! I was terrible earlier this week but thankfully have deflated today! 🤣

Glad the midwife appointment went well! 😃 Did you get bloods etc done? Mine is a week on Mon! 😃🤞🏻 What's the aspirin for if you don't mind me asking?

Surprisingly ok on the fatigue and nausea front today too! Anyone else find symptoms come and go?

Katiekattty · 04/06/2021 09:32

@M4v3r1ck I got bloods and iTunes samples done. I didn’t know they took so much blood, good thing I brought snacks. The aspirin is because if you’ve got an high BMI you’re more at risk for clots during pregnancy.

Oh haha she did mention that they get excited at anyone over 35 but she has plenty of patients older than I am. Lol very nice way of telling they think I’m a geriatric.

TTCat39 · 04/06/2021 10:55

@M4v3r1ck Yes my symptoms definitely come and go! One day I'm relieved that I seem to be coming out of the other side of this discomfort, then the next day (or next hour!) it's back. There's no pleasing me as I panic when my symptoms subside 😆
