@lastditchattempt20 I had promised myself not to take any until AF was late but was starting to feel really crappy and basically felt pregnant so assumed I'd get a BFP but I got a very very faint line instead which sent me off for the day googling how dark should a line be at x dpo etc. The last few days have really dragged.

The last 3 weeks have dragged! And I have a feeling that (god willing) the next 8 months will too! 🙈 Maybe once scans reassure me I'll chill out a bit.
Wow, a big age gap from your eldest @kirinm. Hope your lines keep getting darker!

@lastditchattempt20 with my DD I bled from 5 weeks to 17 weeks and they were heavy bleeds. It was the most stressful time of my life! But the rest of the pregnancy was fine.

There is a big gap but the big one looks after the little one and they adore each other even though she could (age wise) be his!

@kirinmn welcome to the group and tentative congratulations 🎉

How is everyone feeling this week? I’ve had a busy week at work which has taken my attention up and passed the week quickly so far. My midwife booking appointment has been delayed to 13th next week, then they will book my scan for a few weeks later, I just can’t wait for scan to make sure everything is ok!

My midwife appointment is next week too, on the 14th. They've not told me if it's over the phone or in person. Are other people's over the phone or at the doctors? I hate calling the surgery, so planning to just turn up unless they tell me otherwise 😂

@kwastell they told me my midwife appointment would be on the phone and take around an hour. I am in Scotland though so maybe different? That’s exciting that you have yours next week too 😁

Just tried to book my midwife appt. I’m nearly 7 weeks but they won’t book till 8-10 weeks. Not sure how to manage it with a demanding seven month old and no childcare....

Also doubled checked my date of birth... yes I am that old Shock

Had one sided pain last night and some brownish CM this morning with more niggles, so popped to EPAU at work and they've taken bloods. Not sure what'll happen after that, but as I have some risk factors, they want to try and rule out ectopic. But obv as still early may not be able to see on scan yet...

I had very similar in last pregnancy @lastditchattempt20. All was well and I've got everything crossed the same is true for you. II'm sure everything is absolutely fine but it is worrying for you x

kwastell · 06/08/2020 17:03

Fingers crossed for you @lastditchattempt20 Did they say when you'd get your blood results?

When I've been in the past they've taken bloods, then if they're high enough they've then scanned.

Erm so level came back at 10,000 at 5w1d which I'm slightly freaked out about as seems high... Nurse said they'll scan me first thing tomorrow which is good as hopefully won't have to wait long for answers.

@lastditchattempt20 that’s good you are getting scanned tomorrow and will hopefully be able to reassure you that everything is ok. How are you tonight?

Report
lastditchattempt20 · 06/08/2020 18:43

Not having same pain, but still bit uncomfortable- prob with wind! And a bit unnerved and anxious to get the scan done. But grateful that they saw me.

kwastell · 06/08/2020 22:08

Hopefully it's a good sign your hcg is so high @lastditchattempt20

Good luck for your scan tomorrow

Hi - please can I join? I think I'm exactly 4w (last AF 10 July) and had BFP on Tues and 1-2 weeks on digital on Wednesday, which I'm hoping is a good sign. I'm 40 and having all the same anxieties as you're describing - can't let myself feel excited. I have one DS13 and had an MMC the month before he was conceived. Constantly checking for bleeding and painfully aware both of how early things are and what the statistics are for women my age, especially as I'm already overweight. Trying to be healthier now and get out for walks every day. I think I would be due around 17 Apr.
