@MgW1 I know it makes such a difference doesn't it, especially the longer nights! Feels like you're not just working and sleeping! Acc to the apps, I am 9+2 - I still find it so weird they count it from your period! 🤯 How are you feeling? Will you contact midwife/docs soon?

Just looking at the chat posts number, I'll set up a new chat before we forget and go over the limit! 😃

Good to know re: snacks! 😃 Ah I see re: aspirin! 🤣 excited at anyone 35+! Funny, the last time I was pregnant (before MMC) the midwife was super chill about my age! She was like "we have people in at 45 having their first - don't worry!" 😃

@TTCat39 omg you're literally me! I totally panic re: no symptoms too! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Remind me, is this #1 for us all?

Report
TTCat39 · 04/06/2021 10:55

@M4v3r1ck Yes my symptoms definitely come and go! One day I'm relieved that I seem to be coming out of the other side of this discomfort, then the next day (or next hour!) it's back. There's no pleasing me as I panic when my symptoms subside 😆

@M4v3r1ck I got bloods and iTunes samples done. I didn’t know they took so much blood, good thing I brought snacks. The aspirin is because if you’ve got an high BMI you’re more at risk for clots during pregnancy.

Oh haha she did mention that they get excited at anyone over 35 but she has plenty of patients older than I am. Lol very nice way of telling they think I’m a geriatric.

Happy Friday all! 😃 How are you doing?

@Katiekattty omg bloating and indigestion here too! I was terrible earlier this week but thankfully have deflated today! 🤣

Glad the midwife appointment went well! 😃 Did you get bloods etc done? Mine is a week on Mon! 😃🤞🏻 What's the aspirin for if you don't mind me asking?

Surprisingly ok on the fatigue and nausea front today too! Anyone else find symptoms come and go?

Katiekattty · 03/06/2021 15:38

I find eating a tiny amount regularly. Even with medication, the bloating is just awful but at least it’s not painful. I have to go shopping this week, between the bloating and increased boob size I can’t fit in anything.

I just had my booking in appointment and the midwife is lovely. It’s a lot of drama when you’re overweight (thanks covid and cookies). I’m going to be consultant led, as well I’ll need to take aspirin from 12 weeks onwards. I’m waiting for the letter for my 12 week scan now.

@TTCat39 @Katiekattty oh no! You poor things! You're definitely much worse than me for sure! Feel your pain on the cat poo though - we've got two! 🙈

Totally laughing at the wotsit comment. I literally sat and obsessed over monster munch the other night, then when I thought to go to the shop the next day I was no longer interested! 🤣

Cold food is much better for me and eating regularly too. I find myself getting quite nauseous and it being righted with a small snack, usually fruit! I've also got quite a visual reaction to food too atm!

Will take all of these symptoms for a healthy happy baby though! 🤞🏻😃

Oh crikey @Katiekattty I really feel for you there! I'm ok with the smell of fish, but cat poo would really make me queasy.

People on video calls must think I eat constantly, as I'm always nibbling to keep the nausea at bay. But I get full really quickly so I'm not actually sitting down to a full meal at all, so actually taking in less overall.

I think I understand pregnancy 'cravings' now - for me they're not something I just really really fancy, but literally the only thing I can think of that I can stomach! So when I want something you bet I'm off to the shop to get it. This morning it was Wotsits, but guaranteed tomorrow I won't be able to stand the thought of them.

@TTCat39 that’s me at moment but probably not as bad. I bought a prawn salad yesterday and couldn’t eat because all I could smell is fish. My kitten has a really sensitive stomach and we’ve changing his food to fix this. I took him to cattery who on the website stated they fed one food and when I got there it was different and somehow managed to forget to give them his wet food. My husband has to now go downstairs open the window and doors before I can go there and I cover my nose. His poos are evil and it’s even worse because of how sensitive my nose is!

TTCat39 · 03/06/2021 12:22

Hi Ladies, hope you're all doing ok. I've logged on for some solidarity with the old nausea and the, frankly really annoying, extra sensitive nose! I literally cannot open the fridge without gagging! My husband says it doesn't smell of anything, but honestly to me it smells like rotting food and wet metal. I can't stand it! He's searched through and there's nothing awful in there, but I'm going to don the clothes peg this weekend and give it a good clear out. I'm getting some really gentle and concerned looks from my husband as he thinks I'm descending into some sort of mania. Confused
I'm 10+4 now and am hoping and praying that the nausea and super-nose leaves me alone very soon!

@Katiekattty that’s really interesting about the vaccine, thank you for sharing!

@M4v3r1ck I’ll be just under 16 weeks...so I should imagine there’ll be a fairly good bump to try and fit into the dress 🤔

Evening ladies! 😃 How are we all? I'm sooo hot in this heat!!!

@GuessHowMuch how did you get on today? Thinking of you! 😘

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 honestly, I think I need new bras or bra extensions as I'm at the longest setting! 🤣 I am 8+6 according to my apps! 😃🤞🏻

@ImpatientTTCer how far along will you be at your wedding? 😃

@Katiekattty yay I'm so glad you're feeling better! I've had constant low-level nausea, so can't even imagine how awful you must have been feeling! 😘 That's so interesting and good to know re: vaccine - thank you! 😃

That's really interesting @Katiekatty I've been wondering what to do about the vaccine ever since getting pregnant and this has definitely reassured me that waiting until after the first trimester is the right thing to do x

Report
Katiekattty · 02/06/2021 13:48

So I’ve just come from the vaccine centre. So the lead doctor/someone I forgot the title takes you in a separate room. She was like because it’s such a hot and miserable day and there’s a good chance you’ll feel ill on top of it do you want to wait until after 12 weeks and come in on a day when it’s not so busy and not so hot. Because I’m at home and not taking the train and mixing with people I’m considered low risk. They’d prefer if I wait until after 12weeks when the baby has done all its developing. The information coming out of America all looks promising but they don’t feel like they have enough information for early pregnancy.

Hi all, I’m finally feeling human. I got W prescription from Omeprazole from the GP and I’ve had breakfast and actually enjoyed it without feeling miserable. It’s jab day for me today, I finally got my booking appointment with the midwife tomorrow.
