Baby buddies due April 202

I thought I'd start a thread now that we have recieved our BFP. And for anyone else who has just find out there expecting and will be due in April 2021x

Little about me this will be mine and Dh 1st baby we started try's about 6/7weeks ago. So feel very blessed to see double lines the last couple days. Xx

@glasses2020 I was told from 6 weeks but doing mine at 7 so its sounds alright to me. What date you going for yours?

Well I tried to book at 6 1/2 weeks... this is because my parents are due to be staying with us at this time. They are very traditional so would expect to be told once all was healthy at the 12 week scan, but they are staying for a week, and I won't be drinking, so u will absolutely not be able to hide it from them!

I would feel happier having had a scan, so that I know we are still healthy... where else can I go if this place won't scan me?! Xx

That's exciting a few of you are having early scans! We probably wont, last time we had a gender scan at about 16/17 weeks, not sure if we will this time or not. This stage of the pregnancy is odd isnt it, like it's all you think about but theres not really much going on right now. You end up just wishing the weeks away 😏

Oh thank you so much!!! My nearest place is 2.5 hours away but I have booked in for 6 1/2 weeks!!! Xx

@glasses2020 maybe just tell them. I've already told both my parents and DH mother we were to excited to keep it to ourselves but they know not to say anything to anyone til after a scan.

I'm currently sat in my parents garden in the sunshine pretending I'm not drinking because I'm driving it's so hard to keep a secret! How about you?

@xxhetty it is such a minefield. When I spoke with my gp she was straight up we don't deal with pregnancy they don't seem to be much of a help until the 12 weeks I think no blood or urine test until then either that's another reason why I doing early scan.

isn't it great everyone so close together we are all days apart so will be great to be on the same track with you all these next 8 months

Yes I desperately want to tell them!! I have told my MIL as she is nearby but my parents are 5 hours away and I really think I want to tell them in person.

The scan is booked for the day before they arrive, so if all is well I can let it all out as soon as I see them!! Xx

@glasses2020 that's great it works prefect timing then what date is your scan will be great to see how each of our are. Is this your first ? It's mine I think that why I told our parents straight after we found out. We're the last out of my siblings to have children 😂

@Tiff94 Yes it's our first!! Super excited!! Also very nervous, I'm so scared that something could go wrong, that's why I want the scan before get my parents all excited!! Scan booked for the 20th xx

@glasses2020 that's great a week after me :) so exciting can't wait to see the baby and be reassured as well. Both our parent aren't here in the uk with us so we wanted to tell them.

@npn1989 thank you for updating the dates! I know what you mean about wanting time to pass, why can I not be at my scan already?
I had to have a nap today, but woke really groggy and spaced out. First nap so far though so plenty of practice time!
I have a question for you all: exercising in first trimester, what are you all planning on doing? I was an avid swimmer but I have piled on the £ since lockdown and keen to do some exercise now to get me in the game for this journey, so any suggestions, routines people are using, ideas hugely appreciated!

Just got home from the beach where we were celebrating my SIL birthday - been out paddleboarding which was lovely.
@Milliemoo222 I started the couch to 5 k plan 8 weeks ago so I’m hoping to carry that on for nowZ I’m not much of a runner but will hopefully keep it up for now.

@Tiff94 Hello, can I join please? Got my BFP yesterday and AF currently 2 days late. My app calculates that my due date will be 10/04/2021. I'm 31 and this is my first baby after 2 cycles of TTC. It's nice to meet you all and congratulations to everyone 😊

@glasses2020 that's great timing to be seeing your parents the day after scan!

Welcome Mum comes to my house to look after my toddler whilst I work so think I'm going to tell her when she arrives shortly.

How long did you nap for @milliemoo222? I find 30-40mins is best for me else I feel crap! And def go swimming if you enjoy it! I think you should keep up whatever exercise you're already used to doing. I dont do a lot...unless you count running around after a toddler hah

Can I ask you ladies, if all of ok on the 6/7 week scan, can I be a little relaxed? I know that is still half way off the 12 weeks, so I am confused. Is it just the first scan that you wait for to be reassured, or is it that length of time?

It's my first, and I'm worth worried, if you couldn't tell!! X
