@gretagreengrapes thankyou I didn't know about keeping warm! My veins are really bad I can hardly ever see them so I hope they find them quickly.. Do we only have to have two? It's my first child so I have no idea

Tiff94 · 14/10/2020 17:18

@firsttimemomtobex they could take 3/4 but it's from the same needle she will just switch the tubes over. There pretty good at finding veins mine have been very dehydrated before and they still managed.

@BuckleUp @Tiff94 Honestly crisps have got me through the first trimester! 🙈 Had the scan this afternoon and all went well. Paid for 3 photos but I think the sonographer took a liking to us because she gave us 9! 🤣 Baby was moving all over the place, I had to jiggle 3 or 4 times to move them and emptied my bladder because it was also very very full apparently! So pleased, the sonographer was lovely and just kept saying everything looked great - such a relief. My favourite photo is of the baby head down, bum in the air and limbs everywhere 🙈 Also they asked if I wanted a flu jab so had that straight after so it's ticked off the list. X

@firsttimemomtobex Good luck tomorrow! Honestly having blood taken is very painless and just a light scratch - the flu jab hurt more 😅

BuckleUp · 15/10/2020 20:39

@LeopardLover Yay!! So pleased it went well for you 😊. Are you going to wait for your blood test results before you spread the word? x

LeopardLover · 15/10/2020 21:51

@BuckleUp Thank you! Yes, we've waited this long so might as well wait a little longer 😅 They said if it's low risk we'll hear back within 2 weeks - I'm hoping we get a letter ahead of next weekend 🙏🏻 x

Tiff94 · 16/10/2020 11:04

@LeopardLover so happy to hear the great news. My low risk letter came back pretty quick was like 5/6days after the tests were done was updated on my app before letter so when I checked I also saw there everything was low risk. The crisp have got me through the first trimester too I swear I eat them every single day haha 😂

@LeopardLover congratulations on your successful scan ❤️

LeopardLover · 16/10/2020 18:44

@Tiff94 @Lollol86 Thank you both! 💕 Hoping to get that low risk letter next week 😊 Can I ask which app - one for your trust/hospital? I don't think ours is that good - the app has bad reviews. 🙈

Tiff94 · 16/10/2020 20:49

@LeopardLover mine is called maternity notes all my history and appointments and tests show up in it I really like it but my midwife set that up for me.

Hello, hope everyone is well!

I am 14+5 and I’m so uncomfortable. I feel like my tummy is stretching and I can only eat very small amounts at a time. Headaches and feeling sick as well as exhausted most of the time! My last pregnancy was nothing like this. Anyone in the same boat? I may ask to be tested for anaemia as I’m finding it hard to concentrate at work and genuinely feel knackered all the time. It’s like wading through wet sand most days. Anyone else feeling similar?

LeopardLover · 17/10/2020 21:06

@Tiff94 Oh that's so clever! You'd think that would be rolled out nationwide 🤷🏻

@Jigglypuff88 Sorry to hear you're struggling 😔 My tummy feels like it's constantly stretching too, and I feel nauseous the moment I get hungry - not fun at 5am! Did they check your ferritin levels at your booking appointment? As I'm a vegetarian they were worried about my iron levels (well, reserves) but I'm assuming it's fine because I never heard anything. Hopefully you start to feel better soon. X

Jigglypuff88 · 17/10/2020 21:41

Hey @LeopardLover yeah I had my bloods done at booking around 9 weeks and heard nothing so assumed all was fine. Not sure whether it’s purely down to working and having a toddler or if it’s something more. I’m used to being busy and on the go but I have felt the opposite for ages! I also get insomnia during pregnancy and recently have been waking at 3-4am and not being able to go back to sleep until 6ish so maybe the disturbed sleep is causing it too? Who knows I hope it passes soon! I feel the same with the nausea but not as intense as the early weeks. I defo need to eat little and often. Last few nights I haven’t had a proper dinner because I’ve just felt too full!

Sealegreen · 18/10/2020 08:38

Hi everyone, I've been reading the April '21 threads but this is my first post. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and have my first scan on Wednesday. First baby so absolutely clueless and slightly nervous.

Mhu21 · 19/10/2020 21:58

Hello! I’ve just found the thread and would love to join the FB group. I’ve sent a request to join. Due 23rd April with first baby!

Jigglypuff88 · 20/10/2020 04:33

@Tiff94 I don’t think it is helping that my 18 month old is in a sleep regression haha

Tiff94 · 20/10/2020 07:20

@RiverBlueDeep @Mhu21 welcome glad to have you join us. This is my first baby to so lots of unfamiliar things happening.
@RiverBlueDeep I was nervous too with my first scan thinking that I had imagined the pregnancy but bay was there both at 6 & 12 weeks currently 16+2

@Jigglypuff88 I couldn't imagine having an 18 month old as well you'd fling an awesome job.

@Jigglypuff88 @Mhu21 I've added you both into the FB group. X
