@LeopardLover £12.5 is a bit much for a photo I'd £5 should be it. You would want a beautiful frame or something for 12.5 haha 😂

Hey guys 😄👋 I’ve been anxiously waiting till my first scan before joining the thread ☺️ Had mine on Thursday and my due date is the 11th. Already have one very energetic nearly 3 year old 😅 feeling sooo tired and still getting waves of nausea every now and then. pregnancy with a toddler is not quite as relaxing and nap filled as it was before 🙈

Tiff94 · 12/10/2020 11:10

@bumblingabout hey and welcome. I know what you mean about the tiredness I feel that all the time I do nothing I'm tired I do a little I'm tired I do lots I'm still tired can't win haha 😂

Hi everyone I'm due in April with my first pregnancy, had a scan last week and unfortunately have hyperemesis at the moment.

Lollol86 · 13/10/2020 18:56

@Tiff94 thank you, very relieved.

Oh ladies I did get charged £12.50 for the pictures and my dh wasn't allowed in. So expensive.

Tiff94 · 13/10/2020 19:09

@Lollol86 wow £12.50 is a lot so sad DH could t come in I'm surprised how different each hospitals are with restrictions.

OP posts:
gretagreengrapes · 13/10/2020 19:54

@Tiff94 it is so awful & relentless.

I coped better than I thought without my DP at the scan, maybe because everyone was alone? What made me sad is he's an O&G doctor at a neighbouring hospital and therefore seeing everyone else's babies but his own!

LeopardLover · 13/10/2020 21:45

@BuckleUp Definitely! I can't wait for an actual bump and less flab thanks to not being able to bring myself to exercise / my new crisp addiction 😅 Oh it's so good you told everyone, I understand why you'd feel that way re your job but you just can't plan these things! My scan is this Thursday but because work is intense it still feels ages away - I'm working right up until the last minute too 😅 I'm lucky DH is allowed in.

@Lollol86 Yaaay! Congratulations! So so exciting. I bet it has been an emotional day. Shame re your crazy scan photo price and no DH, but sounds magical nonetheless. ❤️

@bumblingabout Welcome! Gosh, I can't imagine feeling exhausted and running after a 3 year old haha. You must have stamina 😉

@gretagreengrapes Welcome to you too! 😊 So disappointing your DP couldn't be at your scan, but glad all went well. Hope you start to feel better soon!

Lollol86 · 14/10/2020 08:11

@LeopardLover @Tiff94 I had a mc in June and had to go through the whole process alone so yesterday I was literally shaking with fear it was going to happen again. Thankfully not though. My dh is allowed into the 20 week scan so that's something at least xx

BuckleUp · 14/10/2020 10:12

@LeopardLover The crisp addiction is real! I judge when I need to do a food shop on how many packets of crisps we have left 😂. Only one more day to wait for you! So pleased your DH can join you, that will make it so much nicer. I'll be thinking of you 😊

@Lollol86 I'm glad your scan went well, especially after everything you've already been through x

@gretagreengrapes Welcome 😊. Sorry to hear you're suffering with sickness, hopefully it'll fade as you enter the 2nd trimester 🤞🏻

@bumblingabout Welcome! I can't imagine how hard it must be to go through pregnancy with a toddler 😱. This is my first and my kittens are hard work enough!

Tiff94 · 14/10/2020 11:53

@Lollol86 glad to hear DH can attend the 20week scan. I can't wait for our it's booked for 17 nov. DH has been allowed at my scans just had to wait outside until I was called and then could come in while they scanned the. Waited while they took bloods ect. I'm so glad he was there I couldnt imagine having to go through what you did. So glad baby is perfect for you.

@BuckleUp @LeopardLover I second the crisp addiction as well I almost eat them every day forgot yesterday to grab a pack while at the shop but DH is learning my craving came back when finished work with Pringle's was so happy about that's haha

Thanks ladies ❤️

UnicornAndSparkles · 14/10/2020 13:18

Hi ladies, can I join? Had my 12 week scan today, due on 27th April with baby no2. Bit of a suprise baby; we hadn't planned actively TTC until the new year when we presumed covid would have settled down a bit, but were a bit reckless and here we are! Still a bit shocked tbh. DD is 3 and will be 4 months off going to school when baby arrives.

Tiff94 · 14/10/2020 13:21

@UnicornAndSparkles welcome and congratulations what a lovely surprise for you. Hope your doing well so far. X

@UnicornAndSparkles congratulations and welcome ❤️

firsttimemomtobex · 14/10/2020 16:21

Hi ladies can someone post the link to the Facebook group please?

I'm so glad to hear all your scans seem to be going well, mine is Friday and although I've already paid for a private one seen as my partner can't come I'm petrified because I hate needles and I've got to have my blood tests please can someone tell me it won't hurt? I'm terrible with pain (don't ask how I'll cope with childbirth I genuinely haven't got a clue) and I'm getting more nervous the closer it gets!

UnicornAndSparkles · 14/10/2020 16:27

Thank you. Lots of sickness but hoping that passes soon! Other than that I've been ok.

@firsttimemomtobex im not a fan of blood tests either, but had mine today and it was over within seconds. The anticipation is worse than the actual test x

Tiff94 · 14/10/2020 16:33

@firsttimemomtobex welcome to the group. I feel you about the needle with bloods I hate them too but since being pregnant I've had so many needles for canular for iv and blood test and anti sickness trust me it's not as bad as we think and over pretty quick I've actually feel these past couple months I've had so many needle I almost feel I'm getting over my fear I definitely agree the anticipation is the worst. Best of luck with it.
Here is the fb link make sure you leave you MN username for approval. Xx

firsttimemomtobex · 14/10/2020 16:43

I think because I've never had a blood test before I don't know what it's like and I'm expecting to be sat there for like 10 minutes while they're drawing blood haha! So glad to hear the anticipation is worse than the actual test hopefully it'll be over pretty quickly! Thankyou @UnicornAndSparkles and @Tiff94

gretagreengrapes · 14/10/2020 17:08

@firsttimemomtobex Hydrate yourself well before you go, and keep a jacket on until you have it to keep you warm and make your veins easy to find. I agree with PPs its quick once they do it. It took a few attempts at my booking apt because I was so dehydrated but the second time was fine.
