@megmcc93 I hope Thursday goes well for you! I've had very mild nausea fortunately, but it did disappear almost entirely for a week. I'm only 8 weeks on Thursday!

@doritodiva No heartburn for me - just indigestion!

HeidiL2020 · 08/09/2020 16:22

Hi everyone, sorry I'm late to the party, but I'd love to join Smile I'm due April 21st with my first, and it still doesn't feel real! x

LeopardLover · 09/09/2020 17:24

@HeidiL2020 Welcome and congratulations! 😊 My estimated due date is 22nd April - so close!

HeidiL2020 · 09/09/2020 18:00

@LeopardLover thank you :) nice to see someone close to my date!!

JIP04 · 09/09/2020 20:23

Hi everyone- hope it’s ok that I join! 10 weeks today and the sickness seems to be slowly diminishing- it’s been intense!! Is anyone else a teacher? I teach infants so socially distancing is out of the question and I’m starting to get a bit worried about Covid after getting a sore throat yesterday. The logical side of me knows it’s probably from using my voice fully for the first time in months. At least the throwing up at work is coming to an end 😂

Tiff94 · 10/09/2020 06:53

Thought I'd update the thread. Was in a&e Monday night/ Tuesday morning hot released at 4am. Went home was still violently sick all day Tuesday , Wednesday came around I only got out of bed 2 times to pee otherwise slept the day away. Then had to have the ambulance called for me at 6pm last night was taken in and given 3 iv drips plus meds plus needle in bottom (that hurt ) them was transferred from my local to st Helier to be admitted at 3 am this morning for a couple days now. So here I am still super violently sick but now I'm hospital. Reason being super dehydrated bad keytones and have been able to eat and keep down since Sunday night dinner. Hoping for an improvement, hope everyone else is better then me xx

@Tiff94 join the hyperemesis group. It's really supportive and fantastic. Not saying this group isn't, but it's more specific. Sorry you're feeling so unwell. It's really crap. I was put on a drip last pregnancy due to dehydration. It's truly awful. Hopefully you'll stop being sick soon.

Welliedays · 11/09/2020 10:57

That sounds awful @tiff94 how many weeks are you now? Really hoping it eases for you soon, but at least you're in the right place for them to keep and eye on you and hopefully get fluids in. Sleep as much as you can. I'm so grateful I only have nausea, even if it is driving my completely mad!

megmcc93 · 11/09/2020 11:18

@Tiff94 that sounds terrible. I hope you start to feel better soon.

LeopardLover · 11/09/2020 11:34

Ooh@Tiff94, hope you're okay and on the mend. Sending you lots of love!

Tiff94 · 11/09/2020 11:53

Thanks ladies @LeopardLover @megmcc93 @Welliedays @doritodiva. Feeling a bit better this morning finally was able to eat yesterday and this morning haven't vomited today but still super nauseous. Waiting for my urine test to be done In 1 hour and then will know if I'm being released or kept another night. I'm 10+5 today really hoping it will ease soon. Also found out I had a uti while here which there treating me for which my gp missed seeing as they think phone call app will suit fine. Because of this it was is half the reason I was so violently ill as it hadn't been treated. I almost feel like emailing my gp surgery to tell them they need to be more on it especially as the amount of times I contacted them before having to be admitted. And only getting phone appointment. But anyway really hopi g to go home today as I haven't been able to sleep probably since being here. Hope everyone is doing well. Xxx

Can I join in the thread? Am due DC2 around 20th April so am around 8 weeks at the moment. Spoke to the midwife for the first time today and she's booking me a scan at my local unit rather than the main hospital here which will be lovely as I can walk there after dropping DS off at nursery. Luckily bloods etc can be done at the same place too. Will go back through the thread to familiarise myself with everyone now.

3roser · 12/09/2020 07:13

Hi everyone Smile
New to Mumsnet (on my pregnant sister's recommendation). Recently found out I'm pregnant with my first, had a private scan yesterday and roughly due April 17th.
Hopefully it's okay to join this group and share the excitement with you all!

Tiff94 · 12/09/2020 09:19

@3roser @RockyisMYRhino welcome ladies and congratulations xxx

RockyisMYRhino · 12/09/2020 10:05

Thanks @Tiff94 hope you're on the way to feeling better now!
Had to go to the local EPU the other day for bleeding/spotting Sad seems to be a normal thing although it didn't happen last time. Had a phone call from them last night and was told I'm group b strep positive meaning when I go into Labour I'll have to go straight in so they can give me drugs for baby - apparently shouldn't affect anything else though.

3roser · 12/09/2020 10:52

Thank you @Tiff94! Congratulations to you, too! I hope you're feeling a bit brighter. Sorry to hear you've been suffering so much.

LeopardLover · 13/09/2020 09:04

@Tiff94 How are you feeling? Hopefully home by now? It's so frustrating your GP missed your UTI - I'd definitely email them just as a heads up. We're in just a strange time with phone appointments and important things being missed 😔

@RockyisMYRhino Welcome and congrats! We're due around the same time (my current NHS date is 22nd). That's good news your scan and bloods will all be local. Sorry to hear you had a scare but all is well! Also good news they picked that up early, they didn't with a friend and there were some serious moments with her newborn.

@3roser Welcome and congratulations! 😊 I had an early scan yesterday and it put me ahead of my NHS due date and gave me 18th April (but I know it can all change). Such an exciting moment when you see the heartbeat. It's my first too.

Catzby · 13/09/2020 10:26

Joining late (if that’s ok?). Due mid-late April - dates currently estimate and could change. First baby. Hope it’s ok to join and share with you all!

Bruce2 · 14/09/2020 13:03

Hi there

I'm due roughly 26th April so around 8 week mark.
This is baby number 3 - (second IVF'er)
Very nervous as we had 2 failed frozen embryo transfers in 2018 & 2019 so definitely not getting complacent and just hoping it all develops well xx

Had my midwife call me today saying they'll arrange scan etc over next few weeks
This is also my first baby in England, other 2 born in Scotland so new to the system and processes here

AlbertCookie · 15/09/2020 08:39

@Tiff94 sorry to hear you've been so poorly. I luckily have not had to go back to hospital and been managing on taking the cyclizine when I need to but the main thing is keeping my stomach full, so constantly snacking!

I had my booking phone appt yesterday with Tur midwife and she calculated my due date as 18th April. Also done my referral to the consultants at the hospital as I'll be high risk due to previously having a premature baby.
Hope everyone else is doing OK, counting down the days to our 12 week scans I bet!!

megmcc93 · 15/09/2020 10:37

Welcome to everyone new 😍 hope you are all doing ok.
I had a private 8 week scan last week and was so nice to see baby and got some lovely clear pics too. Just the countdown to 12 weeks now. Hopefully everything stays as it is.

@AlbertCookie I'm the same on cyclizine, but deffo helps when I can keep my stomach half full, I'm most sick when I'm hungry or when I've eaten too much - I literally snack all day long 😂😂

MelissaR85 · 15/09/2020 12:02

Hi ladies, I'm due April 15th with my first.
2 weeks on Friday for my scan cant wait.

3roser · 15/09/2020 18:32

How's everyone doing? My fatigue is absolutely horrific, I could cry! Also my skin is a bloody mess with spots, has anyone else experienced this?
On the plus side, my sickness seems to have eased a little and like @megmcc93 I'm worse with a full or empty tummy! Xx

KLM31 · 15/09/2020 19:56

@3roser I had a terrible time with spots a few weeks ago- worse than when I was a teenager!! I got a tea tree and witch hazel face wash and spot cream and it seems to be under control now! I have really dry skin usually but it was suddenly so oily!!

Catzby · 15/09/2020 20:12

I've been trying homemade moisturiser with coconut oil and that seems to be fixing my skin woes.

Also been trying ginger tea and sickness bands for nausea. Getting some relief, some days better than others!
