Morning everyone, how's everyone getting on? I'm still struggling with nausea and it seems I can't keep much that isn't beige down. Which is so frustrating as I'm a veggie and used to eat such a healthy, varied diet pre-pregnancy! Taking my daily vitamins so hope baby and I get everything we need from them.
Also, has anyone been having a lot of pain in their breasts/nipples? Honestly I could have cried with how sore my nipples were yesterday, they feel bruised! Any tips on pain relief would be amazing!!

megmcc93 · 27/09/2020 10:18

@3roser sorry to hear you're still struggling with nausea. It is awful, I'm glad mine has gotten better.

My boobs and nipples are so so sore too, my nipples definitely feel bruised and yesterday when I went for my shower my actual nipple was dark purple!! (Sorry if TMI 😂) I'm the same as you there have been times I could have cried. I'm wearing a large sports bra most days now as it's the only thing remotely comfortable.
Hope the sickness starts to die down soon for you xx

Hey, I hope it's ok to join. I'm currently 10 weeks 1 day based on lmp and have been to scared to join due to my mc in June. However I had a scan yesterday and measuring 1 day behind, but seeing my little one moving away with a nice strong heartbeat has given me some reassurance 🤞🏻 just over 2 weeks to go until my dating scan.

Baby buddies due April 202
3roser · 27/09/2020 14:53

@megmcc93 Oh my god that's exactly as mine have been!! I'm spending my lazy Sunday braless as even sports bras are hurting haha.
Aw thank you. Gaviscon and carbs for the foreseeable. Fingers crossed it soon passes xx

LeopardLover · 27/09/2020 21:06

@3roser Fellow veggie here! My diet has been atrocious - I'm 90% eating beige and trying to work in fruit and a sprinkle of greens 😭 Hoping things will improve next trimester!

No sharp pains but my ribs are expanding so my bra line is sore - even non-wired in 2 sizes up 😬

@Lollol86 Congratulations and welcome! What a beautiful scan photo 😍 Not long until your dating scan!

Lollol86 · 27/09/2020 21:12

@LeopardLover thank you, I just know these next couple of weeks are going to drag. We haven't told anyone yet, can't wait to tell our 2 girls xx

megmcc93 · 28/09/2020 13:41

@Lollol86 what a lovely scan picture 😊. I have my 12 week scan a week today! Exciting but nervous!

@3roser I am working from home so I tried no bra/non supportive bra but that was so much worse as my boobs are big! Annoying, I so wish I had little boobs 😂😂

Hope everyone is doing ok! I'm feeling much better which is making me feel anxious 😂😂. Still having waves of nausea and sickness though and my boobs are so sore. Xx

Lollol86 · 28/09/2020 13:50

@megmcc93 mine is 2 weeks tomorrow, it is scary isn't it. I just want to get to that point now so we can share our news with family and friends xx

Welliedays · 28/09/2020 15:40

@lollol86 @megmcc93 my scan should be in about 3 weeks but I haven't got an appointment through yet, I just want to know when!! 😂 I've been so concerned that something has gone wrong as I've been feeling perfectly fine for the last fortnight, but I think I feel a tiny bit sick today and I'm so tired. So hopefully everything is still going along fine! It's funny isn't it, you symptom spot for any sign of pregnancy while you wait for your BFP and then you spend your whole time thinking you have no symptoms once you've got it!! I wish there was a window to your womb so you could just check everything was going OK 😂

Lollol86 · 28/09/2020 17:37

@Welliedays oh I know that feeling, I constantly grab my boobs to check they still hurt 😂😂
Honestly pregnancy is just one big worry and the worry doesn't go once they are born either 😂

KLM31 · 28/09/2020 19:07

@Welliedays this sums up exactly how I've been feeling for a while now! So nervous, and even more so when I have a few lucky days of feeling completely fine, I just wish I could take a little peek and know that things are still okay in there!! Got my 12 week scan a week on Friday and I just can't wait, I'll be so so relieved to find out that everything is okay!

3roser · 28/09/2020 19:10

@megmcc93 Haha I'm tempted to do a Charlie Dimmock at work!! My boobs have grown so much i need some new bras already. Feel like just wearing Homer Simpson muu-muus all the time Grin
@Lollol86 @welliedays I know exactly what you mean. I'm concerned when any symptoms disappear and then they end up coming back twice as bad a few days later. Counting down the days until my 12 week scan, just want to know everything is ticking along nicely!

@Tiff94 I'm going to join after my scan next week as long as everything is ok 😍🤞🏼

How are you feeling now?

Tiff94 · 29/09/2020 17:32

@megmcc93 slowly getting there had another trip to hospital Friday for another lot of iv treatment. Had the last two days of work as just not feeling up to it. Now on a combination of 3 types of anti sickness to see how that works. How about you?

OP posts:
megmcc93 · 30/09/2020 08:28

@Tiff94 bless you. Sounds awful, hoping this combination of tablets alongside getting further along will help. I'm good, feeling much better than I had been thank god. Xx

doritodiva · 02/10/2020 12:52

Anyone had any old blood in the their discharge? Sorry for tmi but I've had a tiny bit the past few days. I did have my scan on Monday

Sazzmorris · 02/10/2020 14:03

Hi all. I’ve just found mumsnet and this thread which I’d like to join.
I’m 36 and 10.5 weeks pregnant due 27 April 2020, after believing I couldn’t have kids due to PCOS and been unable to conceive before.
I’ve got constant morning sickness 24/7, I’m taking anti sickness tablets from the GP and can’t get out of bed without my anti sickness bands on.
So far I’ve not had a very good experience with my midwife, they’ve messed me around with the three appointments I’ve had so far. Initially telling me I needed to come into the surgery and then actually ending up just having phone appointments and calling me 2 hours late. Is anyone else experiencing this? I know things are different due to covid but the level of service I’ve received from two midwives has been appalling. I’m completely new to pregnancy none of my close friends have been through it and I just feel so unprepared since we weren’t ever expecting to get pregnant. I don’t think it’s much to actually have your appointment at the time and location agreed. I’m high risk and have PCOS and I’m really struggling with anxiety due to the covid situation, sickness and trying to work.

I hope everyone else is having a better time of it.
@doritodiva - I had spotting in week 7 for 2 days and then blood in my discharge for around 4 days. Midwife said it was all perfectly normal x

doritodiva · 02/10/2020 18:10

@Sazzmorris congratulations!! Thank you for the reply. If it gets any worse I'll contact the midwife but it's really not a lot.

doritodiva · 02/10/2020 18:10

Good shout @Tiff94 😊 £12.50 for a scan photo is wild! Ours are £4 I think. 😅 Hoping the next week just flies by! I know I'll be really nervous on Wednesday night...

Pregnant SIL is due to arrive next weekend, so I'll be making a fuss of her and keeping things on the DL until we get our blood results. 🙏🏻❤️
