@BntTowers what an adorable little face even if they were trying to hide it! Absolutely love the knitted animals too!

@MrsK89 I get similar too for a day or two and then it goes back to 'normal'

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 26/07/2020 17:30

@BntTowers they are amazing the knitted animals!! And gorgeous scan pic!!

For anyone who said they are feeling huge and don't know how much bigger they can get, I read briefly somewhere that baby doesn't grow the last 4 weeks (or we don't grow or something like that I don't know) so hopefully by 36 weeks that will be it size wise! I don't know how true it is so don't hold me to it but i remember feeling pleased when I read it 😂 xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 26/07/2020 17:40

I've just had another look and the baby does keep growing past 36 weeks I don't know why I thought different but apparently weight gain for us slows down at this point! X

BettyBotter1 · 26/07/2020 17:56

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I hope you're right! I think it might be cos our stomach will be too squished to be able to put any food in it 🤣😬
@NWnature I got the BabyGo belt too and I find it helps when bump feels heavy or back achy. I put it on for walks and will prob start wearing when cooking soon too. House renovations sound epic! So many decisions can be overwhelming, but you sound like you're taking it in your stride.
We've drawn up a schedule for our diy so feeling much happier about it moving along soon.
Baby wriggling around like crazy right now, my stomach is lurching around!

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 26/07/2020 18:34

@BettyBotter1 too squished to put any food in it!! 😂 I also read that after giving birth most women lose 13 pounds from the actual baby and amniotic fluid etc which I know it's no where near what some of us will have gained but can you imagine having that weight straight off it'll feel like heaven! Xx

Spark27 · 26/07/2020 18:58

@MrsK89, I've had it on and off throughout the pregnancy. I'll get some cramping and a sore stomach and then I know when I go for a wee and wipe myself there will be a big blob of discharge. Maybe happens once every couple of weeks

MrsD1990 · 26/07/2020 18:59

@NWnature I've noticed the baby zen everywhere in London too! Definitely the most popular pram where we live. We were between that and the bugaboo bee and went for the baby zen because even our new flat is small and it's upstairs so I need to be able to have something compact and light etc!

Spent today stripping wallpaper at our new place with my husband. Thought I might be a bit of a spare part but I did just as much as him - completely shattered. Now when I close my eyes I see more wall paper stripping! We have loads of DIY to do before baby gets here!!

Spark27 · 26/07/2020 19:01

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I remember a week after I had given birth to DD showing off on fb that I had lost over a stone in a week Grin

LexiM · 26/07/2020 22:48

@BntTowers those animals are so adorable, so lovely of your mum to do them all, bet she loves it!

@NWnature we have the tutti bambini and I'm really impressed with the look and size. For me it looks much bigger than the snuzpod. You also dont have to build it, it all just clicks into place. I wouldnt say its light enough to take around the house but definitely for going away for the night it's easy to collapse and put back up. That being said I know the top comes off the snuzpod for around the house but its hardly light to carry so I personally wouldnt really do that if I had it.

We have the Uppababy Vista and from trying it out it looks great, spacious and very easy to use. It is the complete opposite of the baby zen though which is a lot smaller, compact and for city living. It's big wheels, big basket and larger when collapsed although the wheels easily click off.

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I was under the impression the baby puts on a fair amount of weight in the final weeks, although I can see maybe we dont because of not having room too! Burning all those calories carrying the baby haha

@MrsD1990 ah I still have DIY to do, I find it such hard work doing any of it now. I've really slowed down, I get so out of breath. Hope you dont ache too much tomorrow.

Yes it's the same here. Guess it's normal then! Thank you

Treacle81 · 27/07/2020 09:19

Morning girls! 30 weeks today!! @BntTowers what a talented mother you have! Gorgeous! @MrsK89 unfortunately I have it most days and it does get me down at times as need to wear pads and feel self conscious but I know it's natural. I've just to get baby bath, grolight and a few bits for my hospital bag and that's me done! 30 weeks today 💃😊xx

Treacle81 · 27/07/2020 09:20

30 weeks

Early Oct Babies Part 7
AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 27/07/2020 09:42

@MrsD1990 I'm with you on the diy still so much to do. Baby's room won't be finished until mid sept as my dad coming to help us sort something and he lives 5 hours away and can't order carpet until after then.

@Spark27 oh amazing so it's not just a rumour then!! 😂

@LexiM sorry yes I know silly me the baby does grow in those final weeks just seems to be us who don't (not sure how that works but I'm going with it 🤷‍♀️😂)

@Treacle81 that's great you're almost done, I'm pretty much the same it's more sorting bits out for me now for the hospital. Lovely bump pic. I'm 29 today so exactly a week behind!!

When everyone says sorting their hospital bag are you just meaning the baby stuff or are you literally like packing all your stuff too like all clothes you need and toiletries or are you doing that later?

I had the worst night sleep last night the baby was in a really uncomfy position felt like she was bruising my right side so I couldn't sleep on that side so just left with my left. Maybe she was completely turning around in there I really felt very uncomfortable xx

otterbaby · 27/07/2020 10:21

@Treacle81 such a cute bump! I'm 30 weeks today too. Officially 3/4 of the way there!

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I've packed all of my toiletries that I've bought especially for the birth - so spritz for bits, room spray, massage oil, etc. I've also packed most of the clothes and baby bits. I have made a separate list of stuff to pack "on the day" so bits like my phone and charger, chapstick, items of clothing that I want but I'm still using up until then, etc!

otterbaby · 27/07/2020 10:59

Anyone thinking about getting a cleaner in? Contemplating booking a one-off house clean when I'm 38ish weeks just so I'm not running around trying to dust the blinds in an attempt to make everything perfect for her arrival 😬

Spark27 · 27/07/2020 11:02

@otterbaby I've booked a deep clean in for 1st Sept. I really dont want to be on my hands and knees scrubbing skirting boards when I'm 36+w! I didnt last time, but I've decided to treat myself

Treaclepie19 · 27/07/2020 11:35

@otterbaby I'm really tempted. I'd said we would do it but I've spent too much on baby stuff... and I'm not sure about the logistics? We had a deep clean in December and I went out for half the day while they did it. Not sure what I'd do this time with us all.

otterbaby · 27/07/2020 12:04

@Spark27 @Treaclepie19 Can I be really cheeky and ask roughly how much you pay for something like that? I have someone coming by on Wednesday to give me a quote but I've no idea what to expect!

@Treaclepie19 I did think the same, I don't think we'll include our bedroom so I figured I would just lay upstairs and watch Netflix haha.

Treaclepie19 · 27/07/2020 12:13

We used a big company because I really liked the woman who came to quote us so ours was expensive. It was a 3 bed deep clean and they did everything (tops of kitchen cupboards and things) and it cost £250. It was well worth it to have a sparkling house in time for Christmas though.

That's a good idea haha. I'd want our bedroom done too so I've got no clue 🙈 The only room I don't want doing is the dining room because it's just full of stuff to sort.

BettyBotter1 · 27/07/2020 12:21

My baby is currently back to back. Midwife said if she's still like that come the time she'll have me on all fours scrubbing kitchen floor to make her turn! 🤣

otterbaby · 27/07/2020 12:28

Good to know, thanks @Treaclepie19 !

@BettyBotter1 might not be the worst thing in the world, at least you won't have to pay to get the cleaners in 😂

Treaclepie19 · 27/07/2020 12:32

You can definitely get it cheaper than that though @otterbaby. We just didn't have a lot of choices and I wanted it done.

I think I'll start putting some money aside so I can approach it with DH closer to the time. I'm thinking of getting a regular clean but the company we use are quite expensive so I'm not sure. With covid I'm a bit nervous having people in regularly too.

Had an obstetrician appt today and baby has turned head down 🎉🎉🎉 I've basically been living on my birth ball so I'm glad it's paid off!

MummyBearBoo · 27/07/2020 12:55

Can't wait for my next scan in 2 weeks!!

If I'm measuring 31 weeks now and I've got another 11 weeks to go coz I'm only actually 29 weeks despite the size of my bump I'm going to be huge I don't h think my skin can stretch too much more!! Xxx

Zaalfruit · 27/07/2020 13:24

Hey everyone -

Mood is still so and so - it’s the lack of sleep.

Where did everyone get their birthing balls from? The ones on Argos the big yoga balls say not suitable for pregnancy:/

Ahh I need to give everything a big clean too - I wanted to get someone in again- but our regular person said they are really busy as lots of people have her booked so I’m not sure I want her coming in.

We are getting the pest control to come in and have a look at our home . The ants keep coming and I keep placing medicine inside and out - I am worried that if I leave baby in bassinet alone they will be on her .

I can’t wait till 18th September I have decided to go on maternity leave early - I hate work at the moment we had our mi year review and they kept saying ahh we want to place more responsibility on you - I’m 30 weeks pregnant leave me alone so I can just do my work and look at deals online 😂🤣

Also who has started washing baby clothes - my mum kindly offered to wash them all but now my mil is upset . So will have to go to mums and take some random items and let her wash them.

Btw anyone tried the peri spray bottle it’s very interesting 🤔
