Ooh thanks - got so much to do still but really don’t want to .

I just want to sleep comfortably that’s all.

Ahh good luck with your 4d scan and enjoy !!

Spark27 · 25/07/2020 09:59

Morning ladies, I managed about 5 hrs of uninterrupted sleep so I'm marking that up as a win. Got up early with DD this morning and let DH sleep in, and I've just made us all a cooked breakfast, so I'm feeling a bit smug. Felt really lazy the last few weeks so trying to give myself a kick up the bum today and get motivated. Going to get back on the meal planning rather then relying on takeaways, back to tidying and sorting the house, etc. (I say all this now, I'll have probably fallen back off the wagon by 1100 Grin)

DH is back in the office next week. Well part time at least. I cant wait. Means I get 2 days of just me and DD, which will be hard, but I need to get used to it. And then 1 day on my own. Can not fricking wait.

Sorry you're having a hard time at the moment @Zaalfruit. It sounds like we're all going through waves of feeling similar, at different times. We're all here for you to talk to, but is there anyone you can talk to IRL? A close friend? MW? or your partner? It's really frustrating how sleep deprivation hits before the baby is even here xx

NWnature · 25/07/2020 10:18

Terrible nights sleep! Our bed is far too small for the two of us plus cat plus bump plus maternity pillow!! we are in a one bed flat so there’s no option to boot my husband out to.

Sorry you’ve been feeling down @Zaalfruit hope you get some R&R this weekend.

@BntTowers enjoy your scan!!!!

MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 13:38

Hope you're feeling better soon @Zaalfruit!

I went to sleep at 7.39pm so tired after spending the afternoon in the sun with my DD's best friends mum who is due a month before me while the kids played!
Still woke up to hard kicks at 2am, heartburn at 3.30am and needing the loo at 5am so still feel tired!

29 weeks tomorrow but measuring 31 weeks feel huge can't believe I've got another 11 weeks of growing!! Xx

Zaalfruit · 25/07/2020 14:07

Thanks everyone for your kind words -
Moods so off . We have 10-11 weeks left of this . I dunno how people say they love being pregnant I just don’t get it .

I am heavier than my husband now and it made me really cross - in 10 weeks time
How much more weight will I place. I don’t think my muscle and skin want to stretch anymore I’m going to have a shower and then try and take a nap.

The husbands gone out to his aunts for a bbq I just want some alone time .

Cheered myself a tiny bit ; ordered some clothes using dh card . He told me go wild 😜

Anyone else find that food makes them feel uncomfortable due to lack of space inside them.

Spark27 · 25/07/2020 15:30

@Zaalfruit, yep. I want to eat things, and feel hungry, but then I get full up so quickly. I have to stop myself eating stuff as well as I know 5 minutes later I'll be so uncomfortable. I hope the shower, nap and alone time help x

MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 16:06

@Zaalfruit I always feel really uncomfortable after dinner even if I don't eat too much. I'm always better if I just keep having small bits and am snacking on carrot sticks a lot as they help my heartburn but I am constantly hungry so I eat loads throughout the day and at dinner then about 20 mins later I feel awful and really full!! Xx

LexiM · 25/07/2020 16:31

Just trying to catch up (as always!) Took the cat to the vet for annual booster vaccination and she said his heart rate is abnormally high, even if he was stressed from being there. His health overall is fine but they aren't happy with the rate. So we are going to try and check it at home tomorrow when hes more calm, although I dont know how easy that will be. You count for 15 seconds and times by 4 and based on the average it should be that would be around 35 beats in that 15 second period... if we cant manage to get it then he will need to be admitted so they can take it when hes calmer. Not really what we want but if its then still high he will need an ultrasound and I appreciate its important they check it. Just really dont need this at the moment on top of my Dad being so unwell and general pregnancy hormones. Sorry to rant I'm just feeling meh today.

Sorry you are also feeling low @Zaalfruit - hope you feel better after some time on your own. I am feeling restless but have nothing to do except a list of jobs I dont want to including painting and cleaning. I cannot be bothered!

I cant really eat much at the moment either, although I want to snack quite a lot I'm rubbish at meals and just seem to eat chocolate, crisps and fruit. I had my GTT and it came back fine, so glad I dont have to give them up! I am so bruised on my arms from all the blood tests recently.

BettyBotter1 · 25/07/2020 17:20

@BntTowers I hope your 3d scan went well, how exciting!
@Zaalfruit sorry to hear you're feeling low, hope some you time helps. I'm getting a bit freaked out thinking how much bigger and heavier im going to get with 10 more weeks.
@LexiM sorry to hear about your cat. Hope you get a good reading and it comes right down.
I just got some magnesium flakes for the bath, supposed to be very relaxing. Hopefully will help me sleep better.

Quiffy · 25/07/2020 18:59

@LexiM hope you manage to get heart rate and it’s okay. Cats can be such a worry ❤️

@bnttowers how did your scan go?

@Zaalfruit hope you’re okay, pregnancy is definitely tough. A clothes shopping spree sounds fun though!

Has anyone got a lot of swelling? I’ve been doing a lot this week and my legs and feet are really swollen. None of my shoes fit 😩

BntTowers · 25/07/2020 23:03

@LexiM they can be such a woody, I hope his heart rate is better when he is more relaxed. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

@Zaalfruit I hope your time alone helped, along with your shopping spree. Sometimes you need to indulge yourself a bit.

Baby was not behaving during the scan at all... I knew it wouldn't as there was so much movement all morning! I was jumping around and even had to go empty my bladder then for about 3 minutes baby moved their hands and knees away form face to get a glimpse, with a few smiles being flashed. The palace we went was really lovely and we had a good half hour in the scanning room, she was determined to get a photo for us.
We then went to my mum's and had a take away. She has been busier knitting then I thought and there's a whole collection of knitted animals she has made. I will take a photo tomorrow as they are impressive. She's making even more too.

I hope everyone had a good day.

BntTowers · 25/07/2020 23:05

@Quiffy no swelling yet here, make sure you rest with your feet elevated to try and reduce it a bit.

MummyBearBoo · 25/07/2020 23:11

@BntTowers Cute pictures even though baby wasn't behaving !!

My baby is still moving almost all day and a lot of the night!! Xx

BntTowers · 25/07/2020 23:13

@MummyBearBoo I think the only time baby has been quiet today, was during the scan... constantly moving otherwise!

LexiM · 25/07/2020 23:47

Thanks everyone, have been "practicing" getting his pulse without him biting us all day haha! Hes quite a playful cat if you touch his tummy. Fingers crossed we can get it tomorrow and it's fine. My brain isn't quick enough to count so my husband will have to. My step dad is a music teacher so tempted to draft him in to count it!

@Quiffy sorry to hear your feet are swollen. I've heard drinking lots of water helps with it and so far I've not had any swelling and I drink a lot of water. Also elevating in the evening is worth a try. I am just living in flip flops now though, so maybe my shoes wouldnt fit if I tried!

@BntTowers Typical baby wasnt behaving at the scan, glad you got to see some of the face though, must be so exciting! I keep wondering what our baby's face will be like.
My mum is also an avid knitter, weve got plenty of clothes and blankets coming our way! They are lovely though so cant wait until he is here to try them all out.

BntTowers · 26/07/2020 02:05

Eugh, I knew I ate too much take away, but couldn't help myself. I've been awake for an hour with heartburn and nearly just thrown up onto DH. I think I'm going to have to get him to get some gaviscon tomorrow, it's only started to be bad this past week. I've managed to find some Rennie's s im hoping it will help calm it.

Spark27 · 26/07/2020 07:59

Alidi's online baby event started today, if anyone interested xx

Pineapplemummy2020 · 26/07/2020 08:07

Good morning everyone. hope you all had a good night.

I think I read sonewhere that tesco also has a baby event now, but haven't checked it out yet

Aquablue1123 · 26/07/2020 08:46

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone is doing ok, we are in part 7 thread already wow!

Can't believe I'm nearly 30 weeks, I feel like I've been pregnant for a million years 🤣 but grateful 🥰.

I need to do a massive sort out of clothes and create some space for little ones wardrobe. I've still got a lot to get for the baby too from my list.
Also hospital bag planning 😬

Xxx

MrsD1990 · 26/07/2020 09:03

@Quiffy my feet are swollen! You can't tell by looking at them, I could only tell because I put my trainers on to go to the zoo the other day (which was an amazing day out after not having a day out for 4 months btw!!) And I had to loosen my laces so they fit comfortably.

@LexiM good luck with your cat! Mine would have my hand off if I tried to touch her tummy 😂 she's really funny about it, no idea why. She can be very affectionate and loving but at the vets she's notorious so now they refuse to do anything to her without her being asleep first... And she's so little it has to be used sparingly!!

@Spark27 @Pineapplemummy2020 thank you for the tips, I'll have a look!!

@Aquablue1123 I feel the same, feel like I've been pregnant so long! But still grateful ♥️♥️

Quiffy · 26/07/2020 09:22

@BntTowers what an absolute cutie 😻 that’s wonderful that she took her time to help you get the best photo possible. Hope your heartburn settled down a bit!

@LexiM my mum had me propped up with pillows so my legs were above my head last night. And she found foot exercises for me to do that’s helped a lot. There’s now a hint of an ankle - going to have to get more flip flops 😹

@MrsD1990 last week was the first time I’ve been out so we spent three days non-stop shopping, family visiting and all day at the safari park on Friday. It’s amazing to get out and about - esp to see all the animals when we’ve been stuck in for so long

@Pineapplemummy2020 I got a few toy bits in the Tesco baby event to put away for Christmas for baby. I’m not sure how much bargains they were (usually a few pounds off and a few half price) but got some really nice things.

I started looking at the Aldi event but I can’t buy anything else. Far too many things already 😅😅 we even ended up getting a Jellycat spider (who is beyond cute) yesterday on the drive to my parents despite having way too many toys already. Now relaxing at my parents and so excited for mum cooking 😻😻

BntTowers · 26/07/2020 10:12

Mum's knitted safari she has made so far, I think there's going to be a jeep and a fair few more animals joining in a few more weeks...

Early Oct Babies Part 7
BettyBotter1 · 26/07/2020 10:45

@BntTowers 😍 those are all amazing! They will look so cute in your nursery. Baby will be all set up to play safaris!

NWnature · 26/07/2020 15:14

@BntTowers they are so adorable! Lucky baby!

We walked loads earlier and I am pooped! Also belly is starting to feel heavy when walking and a sort of pressure in pelvis so I ordered the BabyGo band from Amazon- has anyone else got it?

We went to see our architect to run through the electrics for the house. It’s so hard to try and get it right but everyone basically says just go for tons of plugs pretty much everywhere! Going to pop round and see what’s been happening this week. I am DYING to get in there pre baby but it seems v v unlikely. Next up is finalising who to go with for kitchen cabinets. Ordered all our appliances via John Lewis which is mega exciting!

Also sorry I think I’ve asked this a million times but - next to me cribs- I was all set to buy the SnuzPod set but I’m now considering the Tutti Bambini Cozee, I quite like the look of it and apparently it’s more portable than the snuz. Any thoughts?

Finally! London pram watch today on our long walk- literally 9/10 people have the Babyzen Yo-yo I saw two with the newborn basinette on and my MIL is really anti it because it’s so close to the ground. Saw two Uppa Baby Vistas and several Bugaboo bees 😂 I’m obsessed

MrsK89 · 26/07/2020 16:18

Has anyone had a change of discharge recently? Had cramping earlier on and thick discharge (sorry!) x
