@MrsD1990 I know what you mean, I wonder if they were in person if it wouldn't have felt as full on? I was fed up towards the end of each session!

@LexiM our changing mat is from Mama Shack too! It seems like good quality and also super cute. Good deal on the baby bouncer too. Hopefully our babies actually like being in them, I worry that she's going to hate everything I've bought for her!

I do feel like my nesting urges have started, but I'm just so tired! DH and I spent today batch cooking loads of food to stick in the freezer so I'm feeling quite pleased with that. I'm going to make some lactation cookies next week - and if BF doesn't work, at least I'll have cookies 😀 we also finally gave in and have hired a cleaner to come every 2 weeks starting mid-September so hopefully she'll do all the jobs I hate, like cleaning the shower.

BettyBotter1 · 15/08/2020 21:52

@otterbaby congrats on the cleaner, someone else to tackle the shower sounds amazing 😆 What are lactation cookies??

@LexiM brilliant deal on the baby bouncer. We have chosen that one too and been watching ebay, as you say they really seem to hold their value. I'll try facebook now to see if I can get lucky. My ebay Close Caboo sling/carrier arrived today, going to have a play with that tomorrow to see if I can figure it out.
@herondaleducks right on with watching DH and neighbour decorate. We've been cracking on this week with the bits DH needed to do himself because he's left this evening for new job. I didn't even do that much really but seemed to be on the go all day. I will put my feet up tomorrow. Thankfully we've found a decorator to do the next stage, there's no way I could tackle it alone now.

MrsD1990 · 15/08/2020 21:56

@otterbaby I think it might feel less intense face to face! Maybe this is just me but I felt like I had to look properly engaged the whole time which is a bit exhausting! Sometimes my eyes would glaze over though...

@lexiM my mind did occasionally wander I won't lie!! Luckily they also gave us short breaks which I'd use to have a bit of a lie down 😂 great work on the baby Bjorn by the way - what a good find!! I'm useless at finding that sort of bargain.

BntTowers · 15/08/2020 21:59

@HerondaleDucks thanks for the tip, I need to have gluten free as well so I'll see if they do gluten free sugar free ones. Sounds pretty much fun free! I've had a few good readings now which makes me feel better. My fasting still seems high but I feel better about getting better results.
Also really lovely name choices.

I also love the name Maeve, really lovely choice.

It took approximately 10 minutes for mil to say that my bump is big today. If she says it again I'm not sure I'll be able to hold my tongue.

@MrsD1990 that sound like an intense set of NCT classes! We are going one a week and that's enough!

@Treacle81 glad you are home now.

MrsD1990 · 15/08/2020 22:26

@bnttowers ah I wish once a week was an option! I don't know why our only options were so compressed - the one we ended up booking was the most spread out we could find for our area

Indigogirl88 · 15/08/2020 23:25

@blankiesandunicorns we haven't decided on a girls name yet, weve got a short list and favouring 1 or 2 but not decided!

I'm so so achy today, babies back was sitting funny last night and today had swollen feet and hands again and my ribs are killing

Tried napping but hasn't helped the aches really. Plus feeling like I can hardly do anything now, trying not to pull the pregnancy card but struggling to lift a finger today

NWnature · 15/08/2020 23:53

Love the names so far ladies. We are really struggling have a vague shortlist for both boy and girl but nothing that I absolutely love. Considering Robyn/ Robin as it works for boy and girl and I think the nickname bobby is sweet. My husband and I have really different taste! He likes very short, snappy whereas I quite like longer with the potential for them to shorten into a nickname that suits them. I think it may be a panic decision on the day 😂

I did a lot of walking today feeling really tired. Have an appointment at mamas and papas tomorrow to try out prams- need to make a decision!

Also put the isofix base in our car today. We were supposed to buying a new one as we have a three door but I can’t face the hassle at the moment so will make do with what we have for now. The car seat is like Fort Knox though, will need about a week to figure out the harness I think.

HerondaleDucks · 15/08/2020 23:57

So our living room is decorated now! Dh and neighbour felt committed to it... so they've just done the wallpaper feature wall as well. I'm dead impressed. All I have to do now is order the new carpet.

In other news my DH asked me to check his blood sugar levels when I was doing my bed time one, we had exactly the same result. But he was scared of the prick to the finger so kept pulling away and then giving me a finger back and then pulling away. It was pretty funny. I said to him I have to do this 4 times a day, don't you think I would moan about it if it was that bad!

@Indigogirl88 I know what you mean about being achey I've really suffered with my right hip today and my numb left leg.

MrsK89 · 16/08/2020 00:21

@indigogirl88 same here, feeling very achy. My back is sore and my hips just hurt in every position.. I'm exhausted yet can't sleep 😔

Treaclepie19 · 16/08/2020 07:39

Joining in on the achey front. My pelvis was so bad yesterday I had to hold onto dh to walk back to the car. This morning my hips and thighs are so painful as soon as I've woken up 😩

It's lovely hearing all the names ❤ We've picked Beatrix Elodie 😊 Counting down to her arrival now.

Treacle81 · 16/08/2020 07:42

Morning girls, I slept lots yesterday and still managed to sleep through last night. Woke with really sore right upper arm, haven't exactly been lifting or over exerting last few days.. STRANGE! 😕 Hope you all have a nice, relaxing day xx

Spark27 · 16/08/2020 07:48

@Treaclepie19 I really wanted Beatrix but my Brother-in-law's gf (long term, permanent fixture 😅) is called Beata and always referred to as Bea so DH vetoed it. Gutted.

34w today, crazy how quickly its going at the moment. Hope everyone has a good day xx

Treaclepie19 · 16/08/2020 07:50

Ahh thats rubbish! We've been calling her Bea 😊 Ds calls her baby bumblebee.

OP posts:
bluemoon2468 · 16/08/2020 08:30

@Treaclepie19 ahhh Beatrix Elodie is gorgeous 🥰 both are the sort of names I love buy my husband would veto immediately 😔

We've decided on Franklin Arthur, with the nickname Frankie for when he's little. We have Caspar Felix as a backup name, but will probably save that for any future DSs we might have!

blankiesandunicorns · 16/08/2020 08:43

@NWnature my DDs name is Robyn she is 7, I love it as much as I did when she was born and there's not many around I think it's an gorgeous name but I am biased.

Loving all the name talk thanks everyone! Thanks @LexiM I do love Maeve but I also love Marnie and but husband hates it unfortunately.

We're having some problems with our young dog, think I'm going to have to call a dog behaviourist which is really stressing me out.

Glad everything's ok @Treacle81 Daffodil

otterbaby · 16/08/2020 09:36

@BettyBotter1 they're cookies that are filled with loads of good ingredients which can help to increase milk supply 🙂 and apparently nice for snacking on in the middle of the night when feeding!

Awww Beatrix Elodie and Franklin Arthur are so sweet! I really liked Elodie for a first name but DH vetoed it. He's so picky!

@NWnature ugh haven't even attempted our isofix base yet, I'm really intimidated by it.
Robyn is a lovely name too!

@blankiesandunicorns uh oh, what's going on with your dog?

BettyBotter1 · 16/08/2020 09:50

I'm loving hearing your beautiful name choices 🥰. Elodie is one of my top favourites too! I also know a 7 year old Robyn and she is delightful.

Treaclepie19 · 16/08/2020 09:53

Thank you everyone :) I loved Elodie as a first name but dh wasn't so keen so middle name it was.

Franklin is lovely. Felix was one of our boy names too but one we couldn't use.
Maeve is really sweet, its not one you hear so often which is lovely. Robyn is lovely too. We must all have good taste 😁

A lot of people (family) have said they don't like our name choice but whatever. They didn't really like ds1s name and now they're used to it.

LexiM · 16/08/2020 10:17

Funny how a lot of these names are ones I wanted but husband said no/its not a girl! I adore Beatrix, Robin, Caspar and Felix. And my husband actually loved Franklin!

Well after a wonderful sleep night before last, last night was awful. Was awake from 4am feeling so sick. It was so weird I could feel the baby with my hands really up near the surface all along the lower part of my tummy. I wonder if hes on the move as was breech and now I cannot tell.

@blankiesandunicorns hope someone can help with your dog, that does sound quite stressful.

My cousin adopted a 4 year old little boy and we are going to meet him today which I'm so excited about. It makes me so happy that they've given him a forever home.

HerondaleDucks · 16/08/2020 10:23

Beatrix Elodie is such a lovely name! I said to DH that Beatrix would be one of my choices for a girl!
Franklin Arthur is a great name too, very grown up but with an adorable nickname!
Maeve is gorgeous too. Really classy.

It's such a shame when people make comments about names, especially if they are really lovely names. My family have been really on board with Ennis but it works really well for us and is a secret tribute to my DH dad who was called Dennis.
It also means from the island, which again is another little joke as we live in an area called Spiders Island lol.

33 weeks as of yesterday. It's all being really real now. Baby is doing some kind of strange dance as I type sort of like the Cha Cha.

HerondaleDucks · 16/08/2020 10:25

@LexiM Oh! That's so exciting. Knowing how hard the adoption process is that is so positive.
Have a lovely family day!

Treaclepie19 · 16/08/2020 10:55

Thank you :) Tabitha was always our number 1 girls name but this little one feels like a Beatrix.
Ennis is lovely and how special to have a link to your dhs dad.

LexiM that's lovely, have a great time meeting him.

MrsK89 · 16/08/2020 11:27

I'm loving all the names ❤️
Feel a bit rubbish today, woke up bit breathless this morning and pain just under my ribs.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, it's a lot cooler today so atleast I'm not sweating from everywhere 😂

BntTowers · 16/08/2020 13:06

All these names are beautiful, I'm still a bit unsure if we have decided or not yet, might have done.
My dad's name was Michael, if baby is a boy we are thinking of having a middle name of Mica as a bit of a nod towards it, but I really can't decide if it's something I want to do or not.
Our first name choices for boys are either Henry or Rupert.
For girls I think we've decided on Phoebe Emse.

I'm feeling really rubbish today, overwhelmed and too emotional, I think I've cried three times already. I have mostly packed my hospital bag and baby's bag though which is good.

Treaclepie19 · 16/08/2020 13:13

Sorry you're not feeling too good @MrsK89 and @BntTowers
Hope you can get some rest.
I'm just about to pack our hospital bags. Not going to be able to put everything in though because I'll want my clothes for a while yet.
